eduman07: Please I need a lasting solution or advice based on who ever has experienced it before. Am using a vw touran 2005 with an Fsi engine 2.0. At first I started noticing after 15 minutes drive ,the car will flashing a check engine light and it will be jerking as if the plugs or coils are not working. But after the scan was done ,it was not a misfire but and (injector 1 cylinder open circuit). We brought out the injectors and service them and the seem to be fine . Now we took the Injector 1 and send it to cylinder 4. Started the car and it ran for 15 minutes and the jerking came back again .we scanned it again and it still showed injector 1 cylinder open circuit again. Rewire is suggesting we change the ecu brain box that it might be the problem. Since we check the socket wirer to the injector and it was good and tight. Rewire is suggesting and ecu replacement.. Please I need help on this issure Change your mechanic and go for labscope non- invasive engine dynamics test .Both electrical and mechanical elements will be taken care in Jst one reading all within 10 minutes or so less .Troubleshooting has gone high tech and sophiscated with 21st century testing method ,Disruption has already taken over the industry, unfortunately our so -called technician are still living in the dark ages of "check this check that syndrome ".

It's not that it comes on but doesn't get cold, it just doesn't come on at all I am still referring for the ac that come on but doesn't get cold. The way it works is that the ac computer need to some set of appropriate input signal to make the decision to turn on the compressor or not and there is likehood of ac computer not seeing input evaporator temperature signal or the right pressure of refrigerant pressure signal which are major determinant input signal to turn on the compressor. |

adahib: Good afternoon all. The AC of my 2007 Camry has refused to come on. The electrician has checked all the fuses and relays but they all seem to be working. We have even gone as far as getting two different control knobs but they still didn't work.
As it stands the electrician has no idea how to proceed.
Please if anyone has any idea what the problem could be, I am very willing to listen.
Thank you. Check the evaporator temperature sensor. |

Well, may not apply to everything.
But are you encouraging indiscriminate changing of gear oil knowing that something could go wrong if not done well. Not Indiscriminate but scheduled change of oil ,refer to as maintenance. |

engineer4mos: Please kindly share your experience with me. I am seriously experiencing peperish smoke from my car, Toyota Camry Pencil Light V6 Engine. Oxygen Sensor changed, Nuzzles changed, plug changed, Airflow meter is okay according to my mechanic but when I run at 100km/hr that hot peperish smoke will show face. Engine is not shorting oil rather it goes above the guage on daily check.
Please what could be responsible for this? What is the colour of the smoke ,if black then u have fuel metering issue and can be due to ecu receiving faulted sensor signal. Change your mechanic and look for good technician that is good @ diagnosis to help u with this |

xavuv: Hi guys
Recently i noticed that my engine does not start at once in the cold morning, cold afternoon or cold evening. It takes 2-3 cranks before the engine comes to life.
However, on warmer mornings or afternoons or evenings - the engine starts at once but with initial shaking/vibration of the engine but this disappears in about 3 secs.
This problem, engine refusing to start at once, only happen at first engine start of the day. Every other starts during the day are fine.
Again, Sometimes during driving, at hold ups and at any time of the day, the RPM needle goes below 0.8, like between 0.4 -0.6, and still the engine would not shut off.
Car drives fine, transmission in good shape.
What could be the problem, what is the fix?
Car is camry 2005 2az fe engine Post any troubleshooting technical data that u might have retrieved here eg ,scan codes ,data etc etc |

I asked my mechanic who said I have to change the gearbox that the course is from the gearbox, pls hw true is this If you have to switch off the vehicle on failure to for to regain better performance on motion then u don't have gearbox issue ,what u have is drivibility issue. Go for deep diagnostics (not mere scanning ). |

But anyways, thanks for the heads up, I will see if I can change the fan or thermostat. You guys are very dependable. Your fan is normal that way, don't tamper with any yet .What u need to emphasis is to properly monitor the situation whenever the issue came up and try to confirm what is not working. |

GAZZUZZ: The codes are cause and effect.
Between the intake manifold and the airbox is an air leak. Unmetered air entering into the system bypassing the airflowmeter causing a system too lean code.
Just check the intake side for a leaking vacuum hose , or hoses not plugged in properly , clear codes after that and rescan after a day or 2 of driving Wrong sir. This assumption has been taken too far. |

Mehyour: Good evening Seniors, please I have issue with my Nissan Pathfinder 2001 model. I noticed that the engine wasn’t complete so I took it to my Rewire to help me service/changed the Nozzles to a Tokunbo and we changed the 6 plugs too but still the engine didn’t work well. We later discovered that it’s only 3 cylinders that are working out of the 6. And this have given us worried of what could have happened and this led us to even changed the brain box but no luck yet. So we suggest that we should scanned the car to know where the problem(s) is. The scanner said the problem is P1165 which is Swirl Control Valve Control Vacuum Switch. I don’t know what to do anymore. Please my brothers help me out because I’m really losing out on this car. Thanks 3 cylinders just going down like that is not mere coincidence but certain denominator that is common to all 3 cylinders that is affected ,if it restricted to a single cylinder bank then it time to check the following item:timing ,power feeds and ground to the ignition and injector etc |

okoroemeka: if the 3 cylinders that are not working from one bank of the v6,it is time to bring the one top cylinder down and change the valves, also check the ignation coils if it is firing, mostly the cause of this type of valve failure is poor oil pressure getting to the top cylinder, let them bring out the bottom plate and wash the oil pump filter to increase pump pressure Bad suggestion. Don't ever start opening up engine indiscriminately based on mere what u feel but what u have confirmed 100%.Beside poor oil pressure will affect all cylinder not just 3 cylinder alone . |
