My ac Camry 08 Xle V6 just stopped working. The compressor is still rolling. But I don’t know what’s wrong. Somethings the air vent will be cool while often times, it won’t be. This just started one morning. I’ve never experienced any issues with it before.

When I scan my check engine light which always comes up in a matter of days after clearing the previous, I am always told that it is a clucked catalystic converter.
Pls if this is the culprit, how can I deal with this and what is the cost of fixing this cuz I was told by my electrician that is very expensive to fix

Hello autologic.

My A/C used to be very cool at lowest that it freezes my hand when holding my steering to drive if I don't adjust the circulation vent away from my hand.

But now, the lowest does not even blow the air strong enough to touch me like before and it's not nearly as cool as before again (although it still cool sha) and when I engage the a/c, it makes this bad dragging sound like the exhaus is blown (but is not) when I accelerate from a static point and the sound clears up when the car is on the run.
Some people say is normal that is engine is loaded up, that why it makes the sound, but some say the sound is from the compressor, that I shud have it checked.

The car is Corolla 2003, pls help.

Good day all and happy New year. My 98 crv after driving for about 30mins, and I off the engine, the reservoir container boils, an I'll be hearing hissing sound. When everything cools down, water in the radiator will reduce, and the reservoir will be empty.
I did a small test this morning. I left the radiotor open and started the engine, after about 5-10 minutes I saw bubbles like foam. Pls what is the meaning?

You are right bro. The cold start sensor is the culprit, o also changed the 3rd ignition coil and the 4 spark plugs .

Kazeem disconnected the cold start sensor plug and did some wiring voodoo and said i should use it like that.

On my way home, like i just drove 2miles, temp guage stays very low,not even up to the middle mark, i noticed that my AC lost it coolness a bit, and my feet was sweating too much, i parked and open up the bonnet.

Lo and behold, coolant is already boiling and has over spilled into the engine bay. How could it be ! Yet the temp guage stays very low.

Right there i removed all the wiring vodoo and connected my cold start sensor plug back to its rightful place. Immediately after i started the engine again, I noticed the temp guage started working as it should, I.E temp guage now in the middle, AC now super cold as before the wiring voodoo and no more absurd coolant boiling till i reached home.

If not due to my alertness i would have lost a good engine.

I'm suspecting cold start injector/switch, since it only happens on cold situations, get that check also scan to check if there's any trouble code related to that

My Camry 08 V6 ac just stopped blowing cold. Air filter removed, same thing. I went to mechanics place & I was told my gas level is above 140/200 psi [/b]which sounds okay to me. Buhe’s insisting we leak the old gas out and refill. I refused because it’s follow come gas. He said my compressor is bad & also it’s automatic. So now I’m supposed to buy another one but he’s saying I buy manual. Please advise. Should I buy manual? According to him, automatic compressor is troublesome. I don’t have idea on the difference. Any suggestions ?

I don't trust all this mechanic. He said, I should clean the gear box filter. He opened my gear box. I was clean as new. He fixed it back, but could place my inner cup well. That's how the oil started draining I had to refill oil twice before working on the inner cup. Spent 3 times of what I should have spent because of carelessness

I have done all the necessary check on the engine by a technician. Engine runs great.

I drive a 2007 AWD matrix Please I'm confused and scared. My car oil light was on yesterday, i saw it in the morning after I left home i just check the engine guage and it was shows that there's still oil in the engine. I drove on. Now i got to ogun state from Lagos after driving on a 120 with ac on, when i got down from the car, the engine sound has changed. It's now giving one continuous "kakakakakakakakakaka" sound while running.

1 Please is that knocking sound??
2. What's the next step for me to do now??
3 i use mobil XHP oil.
4 I recently serviced the car although i didn't supervise the servicing

Hello guys. I'm about to make a big decision. I'm considering changing my Gear box. But, I want to be sure, that is the problem. Please, I need your advice. My Camry 2.4 gear is slogish in acceleration. The gears doesn't change as fast as possible from 1-3. Sometimes climbing even a small hill is an issue. Is thier anything I can check. Fuel pump, filters, nozzles are all ok. Even when on high speed, once thiers an incline hill, I notice the significant deceleration and and I feel the the rpm dropping even when pressing against the gas pedal. And attempt to force results in a loud noice from exhaust and a bad smell from the hood with no much acceleration but high rpm. In a level ground or down the the hill, it's faster but, still dragss in the first two gears. Please, advice me.

i have a 2014 c300 4matic, the car was losing coolant, and overheating. so we changed the head gasket, but after changing the head gasket the car is not starting, No spark in three of the six plugs, pls does anyone has any idea what could be wrong with car? someone is telling me it might be the brainbox that have problem

Car was parked for 10 months toyota camry 2009 XLE V6 .. the first day I drove it, noticed the AC is blowing hot air ... I immediately went for a refill , after the refill, the Cold air wasn't top notch, also the drivers vent was blowing warm air , but the other vents was blowing cold air ... The AC guy suggested my valve wasn't good , he suggested I should drive it around for a day and give him feedback, a day later all the vents started blowing hot air , I went back to his garage he removed the radiator and Condenser , he checked the Compressor , from his diagnosis he said the compressor is bad .. that it's turning almost at will ( free will) ... He suggested I should change the compressor and condenser also the valve. .. he suggested manual Compressor , that the Automatic compressor will pack up real soon .... When we went to buy the Automatic compressor like I insisted , on getting to the Tokunbo shop , the sellers said they won't give me any warranty for the compressor, it's at owners risk ... Please what's you guys suggestions What happened to my Ac is it a packed up Compressor Should I go about getting the manual Compressor fitted
