If your MB is W166 ,then it more than just seeking for 5w30 or 0w40 ,what now matters using either with MB approval number 229.5 .
That approval number is what makes the oil suitable for your MB

What is your mb year model ?

After the issue has been resolved , I will upload the capture of known good after fix for comparison sake .

Analysis :As shown below ,loss of cylinder pressure are confirmed on cylinder 6,1,4 and 5 which is demonstrated on the RC captured below .
However to dig deeper on what is responsible for loss of pressure , further test are conducted which are shown on the Headgasket pressure waveform showing spikes yielded by the cylinders with low pressure . which truly confirm that the loss of cylinder pressure is due to Headgasket leakage and really prove the facts that a picture is worth a thousand words!
And the beauty of this test is that ,it took less than 10 minute to see thru the tiny internal details of an engines that can take huge labour of days to dismantle !! And also the same time that will be used to see Tru internal of 4 cylinder will used to see 12 cylinders, power plant engines ,and even huge heavy -duty diesel vessels engine
Jsut to prove that Investment in training and modern sophiscated technology is truly bliss and cool

This is a scope capture of Diagnosis of bad Headgasket issue of a Lexus Es350 2012
Customer complaint: intermittent hesitation on high speed and intermittent misfire .
Technician initial test & observation : scanning on the vehicle , no dtc codes on powertrain but intermittent and random misfire observed on all cylinders on the misfire counter pids and further test confirm that the misfire is coming from the engine which necessities going engine Diagnosis with scope
And with very limited effort , scope capture yielded the culprit within few minutes saving us huge resources on labor and time that would have been wasted using the traditional method depicted on waveform below .

Same symptoms don't necessarily means same culprit ,his own fix might not be applicable to your own car issue Best bet go for diagnoses to get to the root

Engine not starting

Got this 2014Audi A6 2.0 TFSI petrol that shut down in transit, the engine just went off but the all the lights were still being powered. Tried turning it on, but it didn’t come on. The lights are still being powered, so the battery is still great.

Just before the shutdown, at a traffic light stop, I switched over to manual to get a feel of what the paddle shifters are like. I admit, there was quite a fumble initially, I missed the shift for some seconds so there was a REV, but quickly got into it, i think I got it to 3 (sequentially Ofcourse ). So when I got to a speed bump, I started to slow down, still changing gears with the shifter and suddenly climbing the bump it just went off. The passenger in the car with me said he observed some smoke coming into the car. I didn’t notice, couldn’t perceive a burning smell, got the car towed, had someone come check it out, he said the starter wasn’t kicking, got a new one, now it’s kicking but the engine is not rolling. Took a further look at the engine, tried to roll the crankshaft but it seems stuck/jammed. Now I’m being told that I might have to change the engine.

Boss apart from the timing, baba go for a new sensor it will save you this stress.

From experience the toks will work briefly, I changed one 2 days ago for a customer from Ibadan and it was display ing timing over retarded. I went for ladipo own and after driving from my workshop to where he's staying in lag a drive of over 2hours according to him, the check engine light came up again

The next day I scanned again and it was the same code, I remove and went for a new one and since then the light is not back again .

Not too good approach to tackle issue ,more or less like part throwing method , if u can find a way to check the signal and understand how a known good supposed be , u will see the culprit staring at you korokoro

P0021. There is a problem on the control side of the wiring to the intake valve timing solenoid.
Do a continuity test btw the solenoid socket and the pin out on the ECU.

P0102 - MAF SEN/CIRCUIT : there is a circuit/wiring problem on your MAF. Check the sensor & the wiring from the MAF to the ECU

P0113 - IAT SEN/CIRCUIT : I suspect the same problem affecting the MAF is also affecting the IAT. So check the sensor and wiring too..

Get them resolved.

Oga, this is my own opinion .
This talk of check this, check that , is not helping anybody cos the average naija technician and diy that will later do the checking is ignorant of expected good value talkless of knowing what to check and beside u already know that all these scan dtc codes is not enough to do a diagnosis , u need to see the vehicle physically to actually do further test and take more quality data
Let all these people know that u will need to see the car physically and do further test and give the car the needed fix instead of these fruitless remote Diagnosis.
I don't buy into remote Diagnosis, cos u later find it not really so .

Happy to hear that your A4 still pumping despite the fact that we didn't see when u came to Lagos.

To add my more this discussion .
It actually the O2 sensor especially the sensor 1 that trigger close loop cos if Oxygen is absent, ecu will not activate close loop regardless of the temperature .

Suggestions on only scan dtc codes is still a guess talk , take it with a grain of salt and a guide but not as the definite Diagnosis cos deeper troubleshooting is still needed to get to the root eg the crankshaft position sensor codes can means so many things properly circuit problems , sludge , valve timing , vvt issues etc
My own personal advice is for to get a knowledgeable and recommended technician to perform test on your and sort u out physically.

My toyota camry 1999 model gives me the p0401 code, ie, EGR insufficient detected. I noticed my EGR modulator was stuck (air wouldn't pass through), the modulator was changed. However the code remains.
Then I had to take a look at the *throttle body* attached to the manifold, and I noticed that I can't also suck air from the two hoses from The throttle body that leads to the EGR Modulator, is it supposed to be so, isn't those lines suppose to be free for air flow?

You need to know how the whole assembly works and the relationship btw all the components before u can fix it or else you will keep changing all the parts and the issue will still persist

I will start by stating how the screen wiper works on the brand and the procedure to diagnose a faulty wiper.

Wiper Activation

If you request a wiper operation through the lever on the steering wheel, an electrical message is sent to a steering wheel column control unit. The steering wheel control unit sends the message through convenience CAN to vehicle electrical system control unit. The vehicle electrical system unit sends a message to the wiper motor unit through LIN. The wiper unit then comes on with the desired speed.

To Diagnose

You have to follow the route of the communication so as to be able to diagnose this. A knowledge of CAN and LIN together with capable diagnostic equipment are needed for proper diagnosis. The knowledge and needed tools are available

Sir it is not as if I want to learn how to fix problems oo. I just want to know how to generally scan a car and interpret the results for the person to go meet an expert to take it up from there.

Scan ? It is pure deceit if you get it from anybody that only scanning reveal problems,what goes behind the scene of troubleshooting involve so much that scanning only like 5% out of the whole 100% even atimes scanning is not even needed .
Beside , if you are Diagnosing and you cannot fix , sorry to say it is useless , for this job you can't stay on the fence , it is either you are in fully or out if you don't want to get your ass kicked .

I suggest you dive into it, with YouTube and other online resources. Buy the required equipments, set your garage up. And Get going.
