Yes it does invalidate the terms, just like working above 20 hours. You’re not supposed to (according to the rules), but man must survive. It would be best if you could use a Nigerian bank account.

If not, you still use your U.K. account to receive payments. You can own one or more U.K. accounts as well.
Eg : NatWest & Barclays or NatWest but two savings account.

Tbh, it’s rare for you to be “caught”.
Infact I’ve never heard of anyone all through my stay and after that got in trouble with immigration because of self employment. I may be wrong acc to some users here but I’m sure home office got better things to do than clamp on people doing freelance work to survive.

Just be cautious and thread carefully smiley

I understand... Thanks again

It's self employment and that's not allowed under Tier 4 rules. Some people might have done it and gotten away with it but you might not be so lucky.

OK... Thank you for the heads up

Please I need expert opinions... Does working from home (online on freelance platforms), irrespective of the number of hours or amount of money made in the process invalidate the terms of a Tier 4 Visa?

Travel / Re: $120,000 To Leave Nigeria Or 450,000 Naira Salary? by AWFCNAIJA: 4:13pm On Jul 10, 2020
gimakon:
A quick question I want to ask and know hearts of peeps.

I have a badass programmer pal. Full stack engineer. Recently did a job for someone, and made some real good cash. Like up to $120,000. The money came from building software for 3 microfinance banks in the country.
He earns over 450,000 Naira as salary here in Nigeria as well. We got talking yesterday and he's telling me he cannot stay in Nigeria, that he's resigning immediately after lock down for airports are over.

His argument is 450,000 Nigerian Naira equals
1,162.97 United States Dollar, wheras in the US / Canada for instance, the salary is way higher.

Question is what do you think ?

He should sare kabakaba because no company in Nigeria can actually pay his true wage value.

Senior Devops Engineers are earning up to $100000 per year.

He should try Technation, they are endorsing exceptional talents like him for the UK tier 1 visa category.

If I tell you this is not Venezuela, they will say I am hating.

The location of this shoot is at the beach houses on the island village of Ilashe, yes... Ilashe in Amuwo Odofin local government, Lagos.

The misrepresentation is what I don't understand. OP if you tell the truth about the location, would it take away from the shine of the images?

I heard of these incidents and want to admonish people like the OP has done; don't take your life and healthy wellbeing for granted.

You live only once and Covid is no respecter of persons or beliefs.

By what statistics my friend?

The Amalgam of the South south and its dwindling oil reserve would benefit from the cohesive and enterprising nature of the Eastern bloc. There is no second guessing this.

Righteousness89:
Your Excellency, you have been badly advised on this...

You may have just opened Lagos state to More Casulties and Calamities!

This is a Slap on GOD ALMIGHTY..

I plead with you to rescind this decision Immediately...

This Admonishment is to the Presidency, the governors, the presidential task force , the Ncdc members and all involved in taking decisions in this time ..

The Earth is the LORD and the Fulness, the World and they that dwell therein. Psalm 24:1

GOD ALMIGHTY is the Creator of the World, the Nations, the humans and everything. HIS breath is what powers every living thing on Earth.

HE is GOD ALMIGHTY!
The MAKER and The KILLER
HE bringeth down to the Grave and he bringeth up
HE maketh poor and maketh Rich
HE bringeth low and lifteth up
HE does not share HIS Glory with anyone .
HE does not allow man, diseases or whatsoever to share HIS Glory.

The Life of all beings are in HIS hands.

My Admonishment to the above mentioned people and offices is that in all the Measures and decisions that you make , Remove your Hands from the church of GOD. Don't directly or indirectly Stand in the way of the Church. It is not healthy for you as an individual and for the Nation as a country.

No one has stood against GOD and had a good end.
Pharaoh, Haman, Herod, Nebuchadnezzar and others are examples of people who tried to play god and they were used as raw materials..

GOD is not Happy with the way The Church has been handled!

GOD ALMIGHTY is not Happy with the way the church has been handled!

Any measures being taken should not affect the Church in any way , form or size.

Corona virus or whatever cannot decide how GOD ALMIGHTY should be Served. It is an act of Despising and looking down on GOD. It is an act of foolishness.

My Admonishment is that every form of Measures of Whatever on the Church be taken off immediately..

They that have Ears to Hear, Let them Hear!

"For further advice and necessary action" do not mean that there would be a prosecution.

The DPP as the government's advocate is expected to look at the report of the police and determine if the facts presented is enough to bring to court.

Sensational social media captions, sentimental judgements or arm twisting tactics have no place with the law.

So how is this different from what I have shared? The incident happened in 2016.

Since then, I always carry cash on my cards. I also have clients that have carried much more in cash more recently without hassles! Are we not in 2020?

Again, you can put your funds on a card for ease of mind and I always advice people to do that like I stated in the post(which you've ignored) but if you can't then declare it. And there is no law against you carrying more than $10k. You only run foul if you don't declare it which is what the DSS guy thought. It was resolved after my spouse stepped in and we showed the declaration
.

Leave that nitwit. He is no good.

Hi fellow Nairalanders,

i'm in my final year at unical, i would really love to work and further my studies in the UK, but i have a few questions:

1. Is it worth it to leave Nigeria to work and live in UK?
2. How easy is it to get a job? (I'm in the medical field, radiography to be exact)
3. Which city is the cheapest buh best city to start? What is the cost of living(rent)?
4. Is it really hard to save money in UK?
5. How much can i survive on for a month?
6. Can i work while going to school?

i just want to know if it would be a good decision to make, and to know what i would face whent i get there...the advantages and disadvantages.
Advice on the way of life in UK would also be appreciated.

i'm waiting for a response, thank you in advance.

Like most have answered...

1. It all depends on your desires and aspirations. What is good for the gander might not be for the goose. The UK is great but not great for everyone.

2. Getting a job with a Bachelors in Radiography is quite easy if you follow the process. First gain experience, acquire the required licenses, evaluate your certificates with NARIC and apply for jobs. Note: Don't take your research projects here in Nigeria for granted... They go a long way way in showing your experience. Another tip; specialize!!! Maybe in Mammo or something more critical. This have helped plenty of your colleagues I know get jobs with full sponsorships from Nigeria.

3. Get the job and tier 2 visa first. You would definitely manage wherever you find yourself.

4. To everyman his stomach. You want to live the LA Vida loca life in a foreign land? Just remember you would grow old some day.

5. Your choices would determine that.

6. Sure. As an addendum; I hear if your land a good centre, a refresher courses fully paid for by your centre can be added perk.

Note: You can have it if you really want. Just put in the work and try. There can be obstacles but then what value would it have if there are no trials?

Bleep the Media how they pit the 2 races together every time, how do you want the woman to describe him, btw Biden said if a black doesn’t vote for him in November, then he’s not black enough... tell me any media house that reported that

Again Bleep the media, New York is a Democrat state with a lot of black so don’t bring trump here

If you think the media are not bias, is the black man the only race in America? so why pit us against the white every time, there are Asians and Latino, why always black

Check US athletes, musicians and religious institutions, black dominated it, Asians were cramped up during world war 2, you won’t hear Asians talk bout it but when it comes to black, the media will exaggerate it, media should stop the bias

PS... if you regard TSR as your new source then fvck off, that page screams of racism

I know you are looking for likes but you would not get it!
Politics / Re: Igbos Are Gifted, Envied By Their Neighbours- US Dept. Of State (Kissinger Memo) by AWFCNAIJA: 7:34am On May 25, 2020
Thank you for this refreshing piece at least this should kill the recurring lies;

1. That Igbos were not the forerunners in the Nigerian civil service, commerce and ranks as the most educated of the tribal lots in Nigeria

2. That the coup of 1966 was carried out of malice and a need to dominate.

3. That Aguiyi Ironsi was tribal in his handling of the coup plotters.

4. That there was and have been no hate meted out to the Igbos by mostly the Northern and Western elite.

5. That the eventual succession and war was of Ojukwu's making and his need to satisfy greed.

Side Piece

The truth stands tall. From a neutral, well informed position we can learn the true nature of the problem that bedeviled us at that time and that seem to carry-on today to determine our collective future.

Nigeria owes the Igbos an apology! Until then...

2. You don't really struggle with student jobs in any town that has an university and you also have Amazon FC there.

3. If you can pay, you are going to pay all during the orientation anyway.

4. Only buy a car if (a) you don't look at price tag (b) That car will be bringing in money..i don't mean driving to work or school. (c) when the cost of public transport is higher than the cost of buying and maintaining the car.

5.As a foreign student you are not allowed to engage in any form of business...are there foreign students that engage in business? Undoubtedly yes but its against your student visa rule , so do it at your own peril

6. No

7. No course is unmarketable

Imagine your friend buying G-string for your wife or your colleague buying bra for your 15 years old daughter. How will you feel? It is very wrong to do the right things the wrong way.

And if I may ask, how did you know her boobs and ass sizes before buying her underwears?

When they say read, some would be pursuing FTC... Didn't you read where he said "I took all kids out for clothes shopping just before this pandemic and I bought clothes including under wears for all kids"?
