Hello mama's I want to ask if I can give chocolate drink to a one year old baby like milo, ovaltine, bournvita, or horlicks. Also, can I add sugar to a one year old oatmeal. She's been havin the oat without sugar and I'm lookin for ways to spice it up abit. Thanks

Hello all, I need ur advise, I called Dr. Ansera's office and I was told he does not give email correspondence and that when I get to the US, I call the office and he tells me when to come for my appointment. What do I say at the POE when asked to show Dr's correspondence. POE is at Dulles, Washington DC.

Mam, Dr ansera will not give you any correspondence. Why don't you try another dr or hospital like PG hospital. I used dr ansera but I didn't enter thru dulles, I was just lucky that the poe I used, I wasn't asked for dr correspondence. But I can't say same for dulles cos I heard it's a bit tough there, so it's better you are well prepared to avoid stories.

Well, I sympathize with you guys because most of you probably bought things you didn't really need that much, all because of the low rate. But I like being realistic, I stay with what works, not what I FEEL should work.

Saying you called GT customer care can't take you anywhere since GT didn't send you any mail with regard to the new rate you are talking about. If you are close to bankers you will understand that financial transactions are not authorized by oral instruction. You can tell your subordinate to do a transaction and he will decline requesting a mail to that effect. So, if you have a recent mail from GT stating the new rate, we can start from there.

Again, if the rate is 299, there is no rule that says you must be debited 299 at once. They can choose to debit you 199 first then 100 later. You only have a case against convenience of the system not legality of the system.

Well "saying you called gtbank customer care " can actually take them to a lot of places. A gtband customer representative is an ambassador and a representative of the bank and informations emanating from such is deemed to emanate from the bank. Still doesn't rule out the possibility of using it though. I will advise you guys to go on all social media platform and start apetition first, gather fellow victims and get a lawyer to write a letter first to gtbank. That is where u will start from b4 you then institute an action. When ds case becomes popular you might get lawyers willing to do it pro bono and maybe will just ask for filing fees only.

Go and get Desitin rapid relief diaper cream. I used for my baby and the rash cleared under 3days. However I will advice you discontinue use after the rash clear and get a diaper cream whose active ingredient is Lanolin and petrolatum. An example is AD diaper oitment. It helps to prevent diaper rash.

Buy any brand u are comfortable with especially if it's well cushioned. Also, infant car seat can't be used till age 2. I think d maximum age is age 1. I migght be wrong though. My baby is almost 10months and already is outgrowing the infant car seat cos you see her pulling her legs out from it, wanting to sit up etc. Already thinkin of changin to the convertible. So If you want something ur baby can use till age 2 or even age 5, buy the convertible but bear in mind that you want be able to detach it and use it as a carrier like you have in the infant one. But if want you want is something that can serve as a car seat and a carrier, the get the infant car seat but your baby won't be able to use it past age one. Chicco and Graco are good brands. Also as to when you can start puting ur baby on a car seat, car seat can and should be used even from the first day of birth, so 7weeks isn't too early

As long as your baby is being breastfed or formular fed, I don't think there's any need for multivitamins except she isn't eating well or loosing weight. By and large, ur paediatrician should be the one to recommend multivitamins.

Paracetamol (either Calpol (Ibuprofen) or Infant Tylenol (Acetaminophen) or a good brand), bandages, Methyl spirit 70%, plaster, Neosporin, maybe a multivitamin. But the most important thing I'll tell you is: ASK YOUR PAEDIATRICIAN. Because I (and other mamas) don't know what challenges your baby may have medically. Those I listed are the basics, but before you dish out any drug, please ask your doctor. Not a pharmacist (because my pharmacist sister won't answer me unless the Doctor siblings have given an answer), but your own doctor. Who knows and treats your child.

I don't have a cabinet of drugs. I know someone who (because her husband had access to drugs) ended up in the hospital all in the name of popping meds that she didn't fully understand. what I'd get is a first aid kit, because I know kids hurt themselves by falling and playing, not drugs (that an inquisitive toddler will swallow as play and you end up crying in the hospital). That's just my opinion, I'm sure everyone feels differently.

I doubt she will get Tylenol here in nigeria but Emcap infant paracetamol is another option readily available or any other brand

can her interview have sumtin to do with the unpaid bill some one pls advice .her interview at the us embassy in abuja is next week.

There is a huge possibility that the unpaid bill reflects in their system. Four yrs is too long for that unpaid bill not to have been sent to collections. If your wife attends that interview, she faces a likelihood of being ban. I will advice you postpone the interview and look for a way to pay your bill, or pay the bill before the interview date, or forfeit the interview in totality and wait till when you've been able to settle your bills. Or choose the devvils option and let her go for the interview, two things will happen, she either ends up being denied, ban or granted the visa. So you can hope for the best and pray. God is still in the business of doing miracles

So I just left the hospital in tears..my baby is underweight for his age .. He's weighing 3.47 for a baby who was born at 3.5kg..his paediatrician said he isn't getting enough breast milk and the little he's getting he's burning off by sucking for so long..that I should get a breast pump and take lots of fluids..truth is I'm trying my best to eat as much as I can but I'm not finding it easy..it hurts to.. know that all his cries were caused by hunger..the annoying part is I'm very busty..why then is there no milk..I'm so not happy..I'll increase his feeds then get fenugreek..pls any other tips on how to improve milk flow..

My dear, nothing to cry about as long as theirs a solution
1. Get a brestpump. The moreu pump, ur breast inflow increases
.2. Make pap ur second food. Pap in d morning, pap at night. If u can prune juice, it also helps
3. Eat well and rest well. Ur milk supply increases at d point of rest.
4. Go and get formular andfeed ur baby with it. At least till ur baby gets his weight back then u can continue the EBF. Whether EBF or formular, d most important tin isdhealth of ur lO

Maybe you should take time out to answer posts from other women rather than coming here to drop inciting posts.

Funny enough, I see aptamil at every nook and crannies of lagos, felt it was one of our aba brothers new invention. Some people feed their babies Enfamil of 9k, Similac of 12k and no noise. Everyone shld feed their babies whatthey can afford simple as long as the baby Is healthy

My baby has been diagnosed of milk allergy, so I am to remove milk totally from his diet. He is 7 months, I can still breast feed though, but I am working and its quite difficult. Please what diet can I incorporated to give him calcium, iron and vit A. He takes, pap, semo, amala and cereal (gerber) but I can't give him cereal any more because I can't add milk. Or do I give him gerber cereal alone without water, I am thinking of adding fruit puree to his cereal. I seem lost, help pls.

Gerber cereals don't contain milk. And it's not compulsory u addmilkwhen feeding ur baby. So you can make it with just warm water alone. Also you can try other food options like plantain flour and ewedu/okro, macaroni and tomato sauce, titus fish, apple puree, bannan puree, carrot puree, green beans puree, beans and titus fish.

Hello good people. Update on my Waka. I initially planned to stay in Sacramento, but mehnnnnnn DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT GIVING BIRTH IN SACRAMENTO!!!! The cheapest hospital i got was UC Davis for 15,700 (discounted o, but it covers EVERYTHING - hospital, doc, visits, tests, ultrasound, postpartum for baby and mum). There are some cheap county hospitals like Riverside county, couldn't go there cos I have family in a lot of places so didn't see the need to pay for accommodation anywhere.

To cut the long story short, I yaff ported to Fort Worth, Dallas. Using Texas Harris Methodist. Hospital fee VD is 4200, doctor is 2300 (but there's a first appointment fee of 350), sonogram 192. Those are my fees so far. The doc is veryyyy nice, takes her time to explain anything u want.

Still chilling and waiting for my darling LO...

It's not as if one isn't grateful... But there are some clothes u wldnt wanna wear ur child. And there are some diapers u wldnt wanna use on ur child. Even the ones we bought in d US, there are some US brands u wldnt wanna use still.

My mum thinks it's bad to give what was given to u out. Left for me I wanna carry all of them to an orphanage or something.... D diaper is just piling up.

Lol, I've been in ur shoes. I gave most of them out. And this were even cloths given to us in the US ooo. My sister in law went to load some chinco cloths from ROSS. Infact when I wore one for my baby one day, hubby looked at itandsaid " who gave her this cloth? I said " your sister". I gave some out and wore some for heron those days when it's just. Me and her at home. Trust me ds cloths can also serve their own purpose. And because it's new, it looks good on the first day it's worn.

Hmmmm. You can say that again. That A bus is something else. Hubby and I used our Emirates miles to upgrade to business class when I was travelling to have our baby. We also used it to upgrde when I was returning back with the baby. It was a very sweet flight on the A380. Baby and I had a super comfortable flight from san Francisco to lagos and to think we didn't spend a kobo o. The flight attendants took pictures with baby, gave her a teddy bear, baby wash and diapers with wipes, blanket. It was too sweet. They spoilt me with excessive drinks. A pity I don't take alcohol, would have been drunk that day. And that their recycling seat is super to sleep with the duvet. Slept like a log wood. I didn't even know I was on air and had free wifi too. Was just chatting away with with dh. Will fly emirates over and overagain.

Hello mamas, pls what other food options can I give my 8month old baby. I've taken note of hajarabadmus suggestions. Presently give her rice cereal, unripe plantain flour, sweet and Irish potatoes, titus fish. Pls I need more contributions on other options. Thanks all
