You can apply together since your spouse is not relocating fully, he can apply for either visit visa to accompany you to settle and return or apply for SOWP while he can pick jobs at anytime his with you, work and come back home. Just like the recent success story above, package your application to the best of your ability, show strong home tiers, finance, good SOP as I wish you the best.

Thank you for your response. We both have visit visa's to Canada. Also two of our kids are American citizens as i gave birth to them there. Only my last child is Nigerian. My hubby does not intend to relocate, just to be able to visit us during my studies there. Will the visit visa suffix or should we include him in the family application. Also since two of my kids are US citizens, do they also need to be included in the family application
Since i have a visit visa to canada, will they cancel my visit visa to issue me the student visa?.

Also, what if myself and my last child apply alone . Can the other two US citizens kids join us later. Will they be able to school in canada With their US citizen status.

i had a 2:2 and i got admission into two universities in Canada while changing programs from what i studied in my undergrad. schools normally request for a certain percentage in GPA in your final two years of your undergraduate program. relevant work experience and packaging your application matters too.

Can you share the name of the two schools pls?

If you wouldn’t be going for LLM but for law related courses, you should be aware that at least such “related” course should be in line with your current work experience.

Yes sir. I currently work as an inhouse counsel or company secretary for a pharma coy. So I'm thinking courses on compliance or business Law would be fine

Another issue with canadian schools offering llm is that, they are very few offering law generally. They have about 15 or thereabout, which makes the competition tight for limited slot. So other than having a 2.1 you must be very qualified to be offered admission.
Dont bother looking for a low ranking school for llm. Once you dont have 2.1, there is no point

Good day all, i am new here and still researching. I am in the process of applying for a student Visa, however i am torn between applying as a single applicant or jointly.

I have three kids. Two are American citizens, one is Nigerian. I have a valid TRV visa, my husband has a valid TRV visa. Although my hubby would not be relocating fully with us but he will be with us on a frequent basis. Do we all apply as a joint family application or do i apply with the kids and leave hubby since he has a valid Visiting visa. If i do this, what happens when the visa expires. My hubby wants to travel with us, stay with us a while till we settle down and come back and attend to his business and frequent visits thereafter. Please which of this options is more benficial for us. I am really confused.

Check University of Regina, St Thomas, just google generally and if your documents are genuine, you can get visa.

Rather than searching the superpowers university cos 2:2 don’t stand a chance there, broaden your search to lower ranking institutions and try there.

Pls which one is low ranked school and what are the chances of getting a Visa with low ranked schools. I know the US visa officers usually frown at low ranked schools but i don't know about canada, if they also follow suit

I’m one. When I was equally looking for schools, it’s not just about even having a 2:1, it’s about having a high 2:1. So there isn’t any school that accept a 2:2. However, you can try as some schools might be more interested in your publications, research interest and job experience. But you have to brace yourself, the chances of getting admission would be really slim.

Good day everyone, i am new year and i have been reading up since yesterday. Currently on page 8 of this thread. However i have a question, its surprising that a 2.2 graduate will find it difficult to gain admission into a university in canada. My dilemma now is that i intend to do my LL.M

I graduated with a 2.2. Are there any lawyers in the house that can advise on what uni admits a 2.2 graduate for an ll.m program. I have searched schools like university of toronto, mcgill, queens. Pls what are the options available. Or does it mean that a 2.2 graduate of law cannot go for ll.m in canada.?. I'm really confused

My husband got a job with Dangote in 2017,they dragged it till December 2019 and then mailed him in February that he is now above the age required. This is the job that made us relocate to another state, where getting job seems difficult without connection.

Abi o. Everyone here is an adult. And i don't blame that Lady. I have never lied about my giving birth intentions at poe. But if i were in tha lady shoes, landing at the point of entry on the day the Visa ban took effect, i honeslty doubt if i would have the courage.

Like someone said, those who will still pay back the discount will , after all said and done. Everyone has their reasons for wanting the visa. The only reason i have to want to go to the us for now is vacation. My kids are citizens already, they cannot collect that one from them. If i need to shop, london is there. You wjll shop in all the malls till you drop. Most US stores are in canada, thats another option. Plenty schengen countries to visit. When US calm down, we will try again.

We are not iliterates, the self pay option is always clearly explained as discount given because you paid cash upfront. If the hospitals were perpetruating fraud as the US Embassy claims then why would hospitals still have these packages clearly stated on their websites. Why would they gladly and willing give you a zero balance with a letter to submit anywhere you like stating that the discounted amount is not and will not be charged back. You cant tell me that all these hospitals are so brazen to keep breaking the law without the fear of having their licenses revoked. Rule of law is properly upheld in the US and the system works, you cannot brazenly be commiting fraud like you no send without having the Govt come after you. It's been how many years why have they not done anything to these hospitals? The joke has really been on Nigerians living in Nigeria. Imagine having to pay the hospital that has closed your account.

If the US Embassy or Govt knows for certain that its illegal, why are they then allowing the hospitals cash out with double payments? Since the discounted amount has purportedly been gotten back from the insurance companies or government why ask us to pay that amount to the same hospital again? Shouldn't they ask us to pay the Government since it's the Govt that has been ripped off according to them. Infact some hospitals have tried to reach them to explain yet they dont respond to emails or calls etc. So what then is this about if not just hogwash?

If really discounts offered are not legal and it comes back to "bite" the receiver then how come only Nigerians are bearing the brunt? I know of 3 Nigerians who don't reside in Nigeria, they travelled to the USA from their country of residence to have their babies, they got discounts and they have successfully renewed their visas with two going back to have babies again. I met them when I went to have my baby and since then we have been in touch. In fact one of them told me when she went to renew her visa, she wasn't even asked why she was travelling or why she travelled initially...e get wetin Nigerians do wey make them single us out. Like my people say "den nor dey beat pickin the day wey e spill milk, na the day wey e spill water".

Even the person from doctoresperati or whats yhe name of that hospital said only Nigerians have issues renewing their visas. That their other patients from india, china, and co have no issues regarding discounts for renewal. Anyway, we will be alright. Its just a matter of time.

Unfortunately those discounts are not legal. That’s what a lot of people don’t know or are not aware of they charge it back to the government. It’s tax payers money and that’s crux of the problem. It’s aid coined as self pay discount .

What evidence do you have to back up this claim. Even labcorp gave me discount when i went for lab test, the moment i told them i was paying cash. I paid 130 dollars as against 170 dollars. Thats 50 dollars discount. So are you saying they charged back the 50 dollars to the govt?

Then I attached a new reservation with a latter date.

That the trend in the us now. As long as your bill is less than 10k with discounts in it. Us will deny you whether you declared or not at the time of obtaining Visa is irrelevant now

I think it's best to declare your true intentions to avoid future issues. Either future denials or being sent back. At y first trv application. I was denied. I felt really sad and was regretting declaring I wanted to use the Visa for childbirth. But I reapplied, and still declared my intentions and wrote a strong worded letter on why i was denied based on purpose of visit. The second reason was financial asset. We added more .money to the bank statement and all three of us were given to the glory of God and with plenty prayers..
I have peace that if I decide to use that Visa for childbird, I wont hear stories of concealing my intentions and bla bla bla. The truth is, that you declared your true intentions might not actually be the reason for denial. Even people going on vacation who aren't pregnant are also denied Visa.

She asked questions about the first time I applied for visa in 2000. Asked me questions concerning a trip in 2016. I stayed 4months. I told her why. She asked if the embassy was aware I was staying that long. She also asked how long I will stay on this trip.

This has actually been going on for a while now. When I attended my 221g interview earlier this year, I was asked questions from the very first Visa I got. I was even single then. This lady pulled up my transcript.

If you have no business in the US other than to go for vacation, pls kindly look for another country to do the vacation. There are so many beautiful western countries where you can enjoy your vacation. Lets give US a rest toll maybe next year after the elections. And that is if trump doesn't win. If he does, it's going to get tough.
I heard one of the reasons they stopped dropbox was because some Nigerians on b category Visa started living in us permanently. When it's time to renew their Visa, they will fill the application online and send their passport down to Nigeria from the US. Get the Visa renewed and DHL the passport back to them without leaving the us

If you are not pregnant , and you intend to give birth in Canada. Better apply now, go for visit and use your Visa for childbirth later. If pregnant, try and apply while you are still at your first trimester. Its beginning to look like Canada is delaying medical Visa on purpose.

Canada hardly gives visa to those who apply with Hotel Reservations. An invitation letter from someone based there is your best bet. Even with 10m in your bank account, as long as you don't have an invitation letter, you will get exact same result

Na lie . I had no letter of invitation. Used hotel reservations and got the Visa. Myself, mother and husband. And I know those with hotel booking who got it too. And I also know those with letter of invitation who were refused

So I and wifey have done biometrics yesterday in Lagos.
We are hoping we get our visa quickly cos she is already 32 weeks gone.
Application was done online submitted 7th June.
Ontario is our choice destination.
