Proffdada: The question is :why do you deny killing people as part of your doctrine?Quran 2:190-191 quran2:190-194 190: Fight in the cause of God those who fight you, but do not transgress limits; for God loves not transgressors. 191: And kill them wherever ye catch them, and turn them out from where they have turned you out; for persecution and oppression are worse than slaughter; but fight them not at the Sacred Mosque, unless they (first) fight you there; but if they fight you, kill them. Such is the reward of those who reject faith. 192: But if they cease, God is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. 193:And fight them on until there is no more tumult or oppression, and there prevail justice and faith in God; but if they cease, let there be no hostility except to those who practice oppression. 194:The prohibited month, for the prohibited month, and so for all things prohibited, there is the law of equality. If then any one transgresses the prohibition against you, transgress ye likewise against him. But fear (the punishment of) God, and know that God is with those who restrain themselves. These verse were revealed at a time when Muslims of Madinah were under constant attack from the Pagans of Makkans. Some of example would be when the Makkans conducted the public crucifixion of the companion of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), Khubaib bin Adi. These would be classified as ‘terrorist activities’ according to the modern usage of the term. So what does this verse say in this context? “Fight in the cause of God those who fight you”, “unless they (first) fight you there” - the context of this verse applies to those who initiate the attack against Muslims. And even after they attack, the verse makes it clear: “But if they cease, God is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.” And it also makes clear the purpose for what Muslims fight: “fight them on until there is no more tumult or oppression, and there prevail justice and faith in God”. It is the duty of Muslims to defend humanity from oppression and persecution and to establish justice. The Qur'an says to be kind and fair with non-Muslims who are at peace with us. It is only the ones who attack us that we are to fight back against Historically, fighting back against the aggressors was prohibited during the thirteen years of the Meccan period. After the migration to Medina and the establishment of the Islamic state, Muslims were concerned with how to defend themselves against aggression from their enemies. The aforementioned verses were revealed to enable them to protect the newly formed state by fighting in self-defence against those who fought them. However, the Qur’an clearly prohibits aggression. The verses explain that fighting is only for self-defence. Thus, a Muslim cannot commit aggression and kill innocent men, women, children, the sick, the elderly, monks, priests, or those who do not wish to fight. A Muslim is also mandated not to destroy plant life of livestock GOD IS ALL KNOWER, ALL WISE |
frederal: Even though I'm not afraid of being banned, I want to give you a testimony, which confirms that " in the name of Jesus, every kneel (powers) must bow " and " there's no other name given unto man, by which he/she can be SAVED, expect JESUS. One day in my sleep, I felt hands on my neck, an act of strangulation, I was suffocating; my hands try to reach to that person (cos it was as if it was physical), but to no avail. Even d person lying beside me could hear my voice, but I was choking. But, that force could hold it again when it was the name Jesus that came to my mind, as I shouted Jesus! It vanished; they bowed. I became free. Ask yourself why is there so much POWER in the name of JESUS, the son of Almighty God.Am sorry for u, if u ask those people who worshipping Ogun, Osun, Sango, they will tell more about how they used name of ogun, osun, sango to bring water from the sky, can u tell me that u can use name of jesus to bring water from sky? |
Obiagu1: Why the threatening message? Why should someone be banned for saying the truth? If we continue to explain the islam to non muslim, they will not get d explanation unless they have open mind to the explanation. If u want me to explain the killing to you, will you firsyt explain those verses below to me before I explain how islam against and I believe if I explain it u will not accept it becos u have hatred mind against islam. Deuteronomy Chapter 2 : 33 And the LORD our God delivered him before us; and we smote him, and his sons, and all his people. 34 And we took all his cities at that time, and utterly destroyed the men, and the women, and the little ones, of every city, we left none to remain. ( So Moses and his army killed women and children. Moses broke the 6th commmandment, thou shall not kill ANYONE) Deuteronomy Chapter 7: 2 And when the LORD thy God shall deliver them before thee; thou shalt smite them, and utterly destroy them; thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor show mercy unto them 5 But thus shall ye deal with them; ye shall destroy their altars, and break down their images, and cut down their groves, and burn their graven images with fire. 6 Deuteronomy Chapter 13 9 But thou shalt surely kill him; thine hand shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people. 10 And thou shalt stone him with stones, that he die; because he hath sought to thrust thee away from the LORD thy God Numbers Chapter 31 17 Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him. 18 But all the women children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves ( almost all the Nigerian lady will be kill) 1Samuel 6:19-20 And he smote of the men of Beth-shemesh, because they had looked into the ark of Jehovah, he smote of the people seventy men, `and' fifty thousand men; and the people mourned, because Jehovah had smitten the people with a great slaughter. And the men of Beth-shemesh said, Who is able to stand before Jehovah, this holy God? and to whom shall he go up from us? 1 Kings 20:35-36 Meanwhile, the LORD instructed one of the group of prophets to say to another man, "Strike me!" But the man refused to strike the prophet. Then the prophet told him, "Because you have not obeyed the voice of the LORD, a lion will kill you as soon as you leave me." And sure enough, when he had gone, a lion attacked and killed him. What?! Ezekiel 9:5-7 "Then I heard the LORD say to the other men, "Follow him through the city and kill everyone whose forehead is not marked. Show no mercy; have no pity! Kill them all – old and young, girls and women and little children. But do not touch anyone with the mark. Begin your task right here at the Temple." So they began by killing the seventy leaders. "Defile the Temple!" the LORD commanded. "Fill its courtyards with the bodies of those you kill! Go!" So they went throughout the city and did as they were told." Another massacare. eremiah 51:20-26 "You are my battle-ax and sword," says the LORD. "With you I will shatter nations and destroy many kingdoms. With you I will shatter armies, destroying the horse and rider, the chariot and charioteer. With you I will shatter men and women, old people and children, young men and maidens. With you I will shatter shepherds and flocks, farmers and oxen, captains and rulers. "As you watch, I will repay Babylon and the people of Babylonia for all the wrong they have done to my people in Jerusalem," says the LORD. "Look, O mighty mountain, destroyer of the earth! I am your enemy," says the LORD. "I will raise my fist against you, to roll you down from the heights. When I am finished, you will be nothing but a heap of rubble. You will be desolate forever. Even your stones will never again be used for building. You will be completely wiped out," says the LORD. Another massacre, same old story. Exodus 21:20-21 When a man strikes his male or female slave with a rod so hard that the slave dies under his hand, he shall be punished. If, however, the slave survives for a day or two, he is not to be punished, since the slave is his own property So you can beat the hell out of your slave as long as the slave does not die, this is straight from the Bible ------------------------------- I challenge any Christian to come and tell me those verses which I posted are not evil and not terrorism, NB: Jesus was in heaven before every other prophets according to Bible and even some people call him God, so if you tell me those things happened before Jesus that mean you are contradicting ------------------------------ |

See below for evidence Allah appears in the Bible and the tetragrammaton from which the pressumed word "Jehovah" is formed also appears in the Quran. http://www.institutealislam.com/what-is-his-name-by-sheikh-ahmed-deedat/ "Jehovah" is a pressumption from the tetgrammaton or "four letters" (YHWH) by injecting vowels. Those four letters are not articulated, also,if you search deep you will know that the tetgrammaton (YHWH) is not a word but an adjective phrase refering/describing the uniqueness to/of the One Almighty God who is Unseen. YHWH refers to "He that is Present" or "Oh He (who is)" in literal arabic and hebrew.the tetragrammaton can also be found in the Holy Quran in several places by the phrase "Qul HoWaH Allahu" which means "Say He is Allahu"! the prefix,"YA" is an exclamation in semitic languages meaning "Oh".if you add "Ya" to "HoWaH" it becomes "YaHoWaH" (YHWH). "HoWaH"="He is"! so YaHoWah = "Oh He (who is)". what hapens is simply injecting vowels into the letters (YHWH) in order to make the letters pronounceable. |
deSika: you may have to give me the source of your translation.ALL THE HADITHS WERE ARABIC LANGUAGE NOT ENGLISH LANGUAGE, PLEASE FIND THE ARABIC HABITH AND TRANSLATE IT TO ENGLISH YOU WILL SEE THE MEANING. LET ME GIVE YOU ONE. THIS IS ARABIC OF THE HADITH; وَأَنَّ زَيْدَ بْنَ عَمْرٍو كَانَ يَعِيبُ عَلَى قُرَيْشٍ ذَبَائِحَهُمْ، وَيَقُولُ الشَّاةُ خَلَقَهَا اللَّهُ، وَأَنْزَلَ لَهَا مِنَ السَّمَاءِ الْمَاءَ، وَأَنْبَتَ لَهَا مِنَ الأَرْضِ، ثُمَّ تَذْبَحُونَهَا عَلَى غَيْرِ اسْمِ اللَّهِ إِنْكَارًا لِذَلِكَ وَإِعْظَامًا لَهُ. deSika: ok. wronngly translated. i take that one back. i will check further. but thats just one of all i have saidthank God that you accepted that you lied |
deSika: whu is Abraham?was Abraham a jew? |
deSika: do you know that budhas and hindus. the religion you accuse of idolatory also engages in circumbulation. There are so many sects, cults, religions, philosophies, and movements in the world, all of which claim to be the right way or the only true path to God. How can one determine which one is correct or if, in fact, all are correct? The first thing that one should know and clearly understand about Islam is what the word "Islam" itself means. The religion of Islam is not named after a person as in the case of Christianity which was named after Jesus Christ, Buddhism after Gotama Buddha, Confucianism after Confucius, and Marxism after Karl Marx. Nor was it named after a tribe like Judaism after the tribe of Judah and Hinduism after the Hindus. Islam is the true religion of "Allah" and as such, its name represents the central principle of Allah's "God's" religion; the total submission to the will of Allah "God". The Arabic word "Islam" means the submission or surrender of one's will to the only true god worthy of worship "Allah" and anyone who does so is termed a "Muslim", The word also implies "peace" which is the natural consequence of total submission to the will of Allah. |
deSika: do you what. you are actually confirming wat i said. we are not saying difernt things at allthe problem u have is that u dont understand arabic and also you copied from anti-islam website, dont worry this is arabic and english translate below: . A meal was presented to the Prophet but he refused to eat from it. (Then it was presented to Zaid) who said, "I do not eat anything which you slaughter in the name of your stone idols. I eat none but those things on which Allah's Name has been mentioned at the time of slaughtering. |

deSika: i answered you boy. #Abraham and Adam canot be said to be muslims why. they didnt have mosques or temples. they didnt go to mecca. yes Adam didnt go to Mecca. they didnt fast in ramadan. they didnt pay zakat.. they didnt say "there is only one God and Muhammed is a prophet" are these not symbols of islam how could they have been muslim when they did not do this. if you say they can be muslims without doing this. then again all the people that do dont do these are muslims. SUMMARY Abrahams religion: Relationship with God why you must undertstand that man has become more developed over the years better than he was when he first started as Adam. Now people fly to distant countries in just days this was not the case with Adam, Abraham etc. this development includes Religion. as at when Adam started there was no religion. he had a Relationship with God. as time went on men began to seek ways of worshipping other spiritual entities. this now resulted in religions.. atleast you must agree that Adam didnt have any relationship with Mecca your most holy site as Kabba was built by Abraham. this means that atleast Adam didnt pray to or on any Kabba. so i can say your religion started with Abraham but not Adam so stop roping Adam into it..so you see from your records that religion evolved from Adam with no kabba to Abraham with Kabba.. this is not to say that i agree with such baseless assumptions. but just to let you know that the supposed religion of Adam was less developed than that of Abraham.. this explains why i say Adam,. Abraham didnt have a relgion. organised Religion started with Moses. but if you think otherwise show me where these guys upheld the five pillar of islam. WHAT IS THE MEANING OF ELOHIM Elohim means God << 429 430. elohim 431 >> elohim: God, god Original Word: םיִהֹלֱא Part of Speech: Noun Masculine Transliteration: elohim Phonetic Spelling: (el-o-heem') Short Definition: God Word Origin pl. of eloah Definition God, god NAS Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible with Hebrew-Aramaic and Greek Dictionaries Copyright © 1981, 1998 by The Lockman Foundation All rights reserved Lockman.org #take note that i answered you. pls return the favour and answer me. can you show me where Adam and Abraham 1.. recited "there is no God but Allah, and Muhammed is his last prophet" 2.. where they went to mecca on pilgrimage. especially Adam as Abraham is reputed to have built kabba 3. where they fasted this one is important IN RAMADAN 4.. Where they payed zakat and to who 5. where they prayed five timesi can now understand where you got a problem, the only problem you have is that, you dont understand arabic language. firstly let me explain one thing you dont understand, The Arabic word "Islam" means the submission or surrender of one's will to the only true God. My question for you before i explain the question you asked me: * you confirmed that Abraham has relationship with God, Agreed but now, WHO IS ABRAHAM? |
deSika: . Prior to Islam the Kaaba of Mecca was covered in symbols representing the myriad demons , djinn , demigods , or simply tribal gods and other assorted deities which represented the polytheistic culture of pre-Islamic Arabia . It has been inferred from this plurality an exceptionally broad context in which mythology could flourish. [1] Many of the physical descriptions of the pre-Islamic gods are traced to idols , especially near the Kabba, which is asserted to have contained up to 360. [1] Gods The main god in the Arabian peninsula was Hubal ( Arabic: ﻞﺒﻫ), who is regarded as the most notable and chief of the gods. The Kaaba may have been dedicated to Hubal. [1] An idol of Hubal said to have been near the Kaaba is described as shaped like a human with the right hand severed and replaced with a golden hand. [2] The three daughters of Hubal, and chief goddesses of Meccan Arabian mythology, were Al-lāt , Al-‘Uzzá , and Manāt . Each is associated with certain domains and had shrines with idols located near Taif [3] which have been destroyed. [4] Allāt (Arabic : ﺕﻼﻟﺍ) or Al-lāt is the goddess associated with the underworld . [5] Al-‘Uzzá (Arabic : ﻯﺰﻌﻟﺍ) "The Mightiest One" or "The Strong" was an Arabian fertility goddess. She was called upon for protection and victory before war. [6] Manāt (Arabic : ﺓﺎﻨﻣ) was the goddess of fate, the Book of Idols describes her as the most ancient of all these idols. An idol of Manāt was erected on the seashore in the vicinity of al- Mushallal in Qudayd, between Medina and Mecca. The Aws and the Khazraj, as well as the inhabitants of Medina and Mecca and their vicinities, venerated Manāt and performed sacrifices before her idol, including offering their children. Pilgrimages of some Arabs, including the Aws, Khazraj, Yathrib and others, were not considered completed until they visited Manāt and shaved their heads. [7]I known you go to anti-islam website to copy and paste ur fabricated and fallacy statement Let me lecture u how the prophet destroyed al-Uzza, Manat, al-lat. The Messenger of Allah sent groups of his Companions to destroy the idols standing round the Ka'bah. All of the idols were broken including al-Lat, al-Uzza, and Manat. He sent a crier to announce in Makkah, 'Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should destroy any idol in his house.' He also sent representatives to the surrounding tribes telling them to destroy their idols. There were other idols in the Arabian Peninsula that the Arabs revered just as they revered the Ka`bah, besides the three idols that Allah mentioned in His Glorious Book. Allah mentioned these three here because they were more famous than the others. “Have you then considered Allat and the ‘Uzza, and Manat, the third, the last? What! for you the males and for Him the females! This indeed is an unjust division! They are naught but names which you have named, you and your fathers; Allah has not sent for them any authority. They follow naught but conjecture and the low desires which (their) souls incline to; and certainly the guidance has come to them from their Lord”. [S?rah al-Najm:19-23] An-Nasa'i recorded that Abu At-Tufayl said, "When the Messenger of Allah conquered Makkah, he sent Khalid bin Al-Walid to the area of Nakhlah where the idol of Al-`Uzza was erected on three trees of a forest. Khalid cut the three trees and approached the house built around it and destroyed it. When he went back to the Prophet and informed him of the story, the Prophet said to him, (Go back and finish your mission, for you have not finished it.) Khalid went back and when the custodians who were also its servants of Al-`Uzza saw him, they started invoking by calling Al-`Uzza! When Khalid approached it, he found a naked woman whose hair was untidy and who was throwing sand on her head. Khalid killed her with the sword and went back to the Messenger of Allah , who said to him that was Al-`Uzza!'' Pls don't dodge my question: what was religion of ibrahim and what is the meaning of ELOHIM |
The Quraysh continued to hold to the religion of Ibrahim and Isma'il, glorifying the creed of tawhid and the worship of Allah alone, until Amr ibn Luhayy became their chief. He was the first to deviate from the religion of Isma'il and to set up idols which he encouraged people to worship. Once he had travelled from Makkah to Syria on business where he saw people worshipping idols. He was so impressed that he brought some idols back to Makkah and set them up, commanding the people there to venerate them. IN CONQUERD OF MECCA, The Messenger of Allah got down from his camel when everything had calmed down. He went to the Ka'bah first and performed tawaf. Around the Ka'bah were three hundred and sixty idols. With a stick he was carrying he began to push them over, saying, 'The truth has come and falsehood has vanished away. Falsehood is ever vanishing. Q (17: 81) 'The truth has come and falsehood originates not nor brings again.' (34: 49) The idols collapsed one by one, falling onto their faces. Pictures and statues were found in the Ka'bah and the Messenger of Allah ordered that they should also be destroyed. |
deSika: yes Abraham was not a christian. What is the religion of ibrahim when he was not christian? What is the meaning of ELOHIM? Back with authoritative references |
deSika: asking me for a proof will not solve your problem of whether Allah was spoken by jews. how does the pronounciation of YHWH relate with Allah be used by jews. whether they pronounce it this way or that way does not indicate Allah being used by them. this pronounciationn issue is not wat the op is aking you for..You lacks an authoritative reference. “Yahweh” and “Jehovah” are two pronunciations formed by humans much later and the modern Jews are as uncertain of the real pronunciation of the Yahweh MY QUESTION FOR YOU; 1. How "YHWH" pronounced in full with vowel 2. Which laguage is YHWH 3. Who is YHWH Bring proof, starting with an archaeological evidence Once again, Don't dodge my Question |
deSika: u need to stop confusing and distracting yourself with pronunciation issues. What is important is that it is written as YHWH. Is YHWH a Hebrew derived word. YESYou lacks an authoritative reference. U don't have any proof to back ur statement |
deSika: there is nothing like not to mean literally. al ilah means the God.I can see from ur statement, u failed woefully. You need to do more research and learn arabic also |
Point two: Whoever worships Allah must be a muslim. Abdul-l-Muttalib was never a Muslim. He was an idolater and died as an idolater. The noblest name "Allah" is not uncommon among the arabian pagans. It is in their vocabulary. It is a name know to them since Prophet Adam (AS) was on the surface of land. More precisely, the Arabian pagans have fake ideas about Islam before the advent of the Prophet Muhammad (saw). This is so because Prophet Ismail (as), the father of the Arabs was a Muslim by religion. So if any pagans Arab names his son Abdu-llah, it is not because he worships Allah, nor does it mean that such parent believes in Allah. But pagans Arab do so , because "Allah" is part of their vocabulary. |
The statement is not true at all based on four cogent points as below Point one: Abdullah is a son of Abdul-muttolid, Abdul-l-Muttolib is a son of Haashim. Haashim is a son of Abdul-l-Munaaf. Abdul-l-Munaaf is a son Qusoyy. If it is automatic that every name attached to the prefix "Abdul" denotes an idol or god being worshipped by the concerned family, then Muttolib shall be the name of god that his father, Haashim worshipped. Also, if it is authentic that every name attached to the prefix "Abdul" denotes an idol or god worshipped by the concerned family, then Manaf shall be the name of god that is father, Qasayy worshipped. Neither Muttolib nor Manaf was a god of the arabs. So, whenever a compound name is made up of "Abdul" and another noun, it is either in sense of a worshipper and what or Who being worshipped, or in the senses of ther thing, as in the case of abdul-muttolib and Abdul-Manaaf. But the case Abdul-muttolib naming his son Abdul-llah has ni authoritative reference which indicates that Abdul-Muttolib named his son Abdul-llah because he worshipped Allah, true God. Neither Abdul-l-Muttalib nor Abdul-llah worship Allah. Let us now know more abt how abdul-muttolid was named that compound noun, as in reference of Ar-Rashheq Al-Makhum (The sealed Nectar) vol 1, pages 51-52: His father was Hāshim ibn `Abd Manāf and his mother was Salmah bint `Amr from the Banū Najjār tribe in Yathrib (later called, Madinah). On his father's side he belonged to the distinguished Banū Hāshim clan, a subgroup of the Quraish tribe of Makkah which traced their genealogy to Ismā'īl and Ibrāhīm. His father died while doing business in Gaza, before he was born. He was given the name "Shaybah" meaning 'the ancient one' or 'white-haired' for the streak of white through his jet-black hair After his father's death he was raised in Yathrib with his mother and her family until about the age of eight, when his uncle Muttolib went to see him and asked his mother Salmah bint `Amr to entrust Shaybah to his care. Salmah was unwilling to let her son go and Shaybah refused to leave his mother without her consent. Upon first arriving in Makkah, the people assumed the unknown child was Muttalib's slave, giving him the name `Abdu'l-Muttalib (slave of Muttalib). When Muttalib died, Shaybah succeeded him as the chief of the Banū Hāshim clan. Can you see why Arabs called Shaebah, Abdul-Muttalib; they thought he was a slave purchased by Al-Muttolib, not that Muttolid is a god or idol. Any contrary view is therefore null and void. |
Those statement are fallacy. Thus it lacks an authoritative reference. It was those christian that inserted the noblest name "Allah" into the names of the Arabian gods. Allah the Almighty is an idol in the common sense of d christian as shown in the statements. If all christian agree with those statement, then all of them, have agreed that Jesus Christ is a son of an idol. This is confirmed in the Arabic translation of john 3:16 in the Bible published by the Gideons Int. Let us read as follows: "For God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life" The Arabic translation of the above by the christian bible themselves is as below: 16 فَقَدْ أحَبَّ اللهُ العالَمَ كَثِيْراً، حَتَّى إنَّهُ قَدَّمَ ابْنَهُ الوَحِيْدَ، لِكَيْ لا يَهلِكَ كُلُّ مَنْ يُؤْمِنُ بِهِ، بَلْ تَكُونُ لَهُ الحَياةُ الأبَدِيَّةُ. The point of interest in the above John 3:16 is that the christian translated God to Allah. Then, is Allah an idol or God? |

deSika: ¤point of correction. they dont make yhwh to mean. they tell you what it means. its their language. they know it better than you."Allah" is not what u claimed it to be, and is not "Al-Ilah" as he mentioned. U failed to realize that the use of such expression as "The God" (al-ilah) is to denote the fact that "Allah" is The Only True God The Creator, and not to mean literally "The God". For one thing, "ilah" does not mean "God", it means "god" (notice that there is no capitalisation of letters in Arabic, it is used here for the western audience's sake). The word "ilah" could also be spelled "elah" in English since there is no "i" & "e" in Arabic; and that the word "ilah/elah" means "god" generally, in Arabic; The web at site: bible.crosswalk.com, i came across the word "elahh" which is Aramaic and used in the Hebrew bible. The following is from bible.crosswalk.com: Thee KJV Old Testament Hebrew Lexicon Strong's Number: 0426 Original Word: hhla Word Origin: corresponding to (0433) Transliterated Word: 'elahh (Aramaic)' Phonetic Spelling: 'el-aw' Parts of Speech: Noun Masculine Definitions: - god, God - god, heathen deity - God (of Israel) From the above, it was noticed that the word "elahh" does exist in the Hebrew bible and it means the above-stated definitions. Its phonetic spelling is 100% identical to that of the Arabic "ilah/elah" and its meanings do include the same "god" meaning. The word "elahh" is Aramaic, but is used in the Hebrew bible, what i am trying to prove to u, is that ur false claims against the name "Allah" through the abuse of "ilah" were refutable since the Hebrew bible does contain a similar-sounding word which means exactly what "ilah/elah" (in Arabic) does. It is therefore very easy to notice that "ilah/elah" (in Arabic) sound exactly the same as the Aramaic word "elahh" that is used in the Hebrew bible to mean -god,god (pagan deity), God, God (of Israel), etc. I wonder if Mr. Desika would use the same argument against the word "elahh" also?! |
deSika: ¤point of correction. they dont make yhwh to mean. they tell you what it means. its their language. they know it better than you.“Yahweh” and “Jehovah” are two pronunciations formed by humans much later. I asked u to bring their proof, starting with an archaeological evidence on how was "YHWH" pronounced in full with vowels, not the later-inserted ones! (PLS I NEED PROOF NOT ON HEAD) Whoever worships Allah must be a muslim. The following is from The state of Assyria Aramaic web site. When you visit their site, click on "Search" at the top blue bar, then click on the "Search Aramaic Lexicon (online directory" link, then type in "God" and click on "English word" radio button. "Allah" would be pronounced as "Allaha" or "Allaha" in Arabic if it's used in the middle of the sentence. It can also be pronounced as "Allahi" or "Allahu" or "Allaho" depending on the grammar of the sentence. 3- The Hebew word "Elohim" is the plural of "Elowah", which is derived from the Aramaic word "Alaha", or "Elahh"; the same as the Arabic word "Allah" or "Allawh" in pronunciation. As I mentioned above, by the way, the two "l"s in "Allah" are written in Arabic as one "l". In Arabic, if the letter is pronounced twice after each others such as the "m" in "Muhammad", then it is written only once, and a special punctuation called "al-shaddah" is applied on the top of the letter to indicate that it is a double pronunciation. So the point is, the Arabic "Allah" is written with one "l" and not two "l"s. Perhaps the old Aramaic thousands of years ago was like that too, and maybe that's why "Allah" is written with one "l" in Aramaic ("Aalah" and not "Aallah" or "Allah" (AGAIN AND AGAIN, SUPPORT YOUR AUGUMENT WITH PROOT) |
Arabian gods were known by such names as Allah, Mohammad destroyed all except one and that is a black stone of kabba and abdul muttalid named his son abdulai which means servant of allah, this is pointer to the fact that abdul muttalib the great arabian occultist was a worshipper of allah b4 islam.
Point two: Whoever worships Allah must be a muslim. Abdul-l-Muttalib was never a Muslim. He was an idolater and died as an idolater. The noblest name "Allah" is not uncommon among the arabian pagans. It is in their vocabulary. |
He was given the name "Shaybah" meaning 'the ancient one' or 'white-haired' for the streak of white through his jet-black hair After his father's death he was raised in Yathrib with his mother and her family until about the age of eight, when his uncle Muttolib went to see him and asked his mother Salmah bint `Amr to entrust Shaybah to his care. deSika: the question again is. did moses talk to his people about Allah. you have used the diversionary tactic of muslims to start telling me about the pronounciation of YWHW not being known and that Jesus did not call YWHW. dis is not the op is aboutIt should suffice to say that none of the anti-Islam critics has come up with any documented, archeological proof on the authenticity and the real and full pronunciation of "YHWH", which is supposed to be the name of God in Hebrew. We all know that "Yahweh" & "Jehovah" are not Hebrew words, the first includes inserted vowels to make possible the pronunciation of "YHWH", while the latter is a western version of "YHWH" with vowels! Another fact, according to the bible, is that when Moses asked God about His name, He told him that His name is "I am that I am"! The Jews and Christians do a lot of manipulations and interpolations to "guess" the name of God, they make "YHWH" to mean "to be" or "the one who was, the one who is and the one who will always be"! “Yahweh” and “Jehovah” are two pronunciations formed by humans much later. Although the Jewish Encyclopedia labels the word “Jehovah” to be a philological impossibility, the Christian world tends to use this pronunciation till this day. Coming back to the pronunciation of this word YHWH, the Catholic Encyclopedia brings it to our attention: “According to a Rabbinic tradition the real pronunciation of Jehovah ceased to be used at the time of Simeon the Just, who was, according to Maimonides, a contemporary of Alexander the Great. At any rate, it appears that the name was no longer pronounced after the destruction of the Temple.” Moreover we are also informed by the same encyclopedia that “the modern Jews are as uncertain of the real pronunciation of the Sacred name as their Christian contemporaries” Hence one thing has been made apparent that neither the Jews nor the Christians know the true pronunciation of this word. This word was considered to be ineffable by the Jews and thus with time people lost the knowledge of its true pronunciation. MY QUESTION FOR YOU NOW; Those are verbs and attributes, not a name! God has One name, and that's "ALLAH". If anyone has any doubts or proofs otherwise, let them bring their proof, starting with an archaeological evidence on how was "YHWH" pronounced in full with vowels, not the later-inserted ones! |

CONTINUATION FROM YAHWEH...... "GOD" in Arabic and Aramaic sound the same The following translation is found at bible.crosswalk.com: Thee KJV Old Testament Hebrew Lexicon Strong's Number: 0426 Original Word: hhla Word Origin: corresponding to (0433) Transliterated Word: 'elahh (Aramaic)' Phonetic Spelling: 'el-aw' Parts of Speech: Noun Masculine Several points to learn: 1. "elahh" is the way the word "hhla" (spelled from right to left as it is Aramaic) is pronounced. 2. The words "Elahh", "hhla (read from right to left)" and "Allah" all have the "h" letter and pronunciation in them. 3- "Allah" in Arabic is pronounced as "Al-lawh" or "Al-lah" depending on the sentence that it is used in. In Arabic, the sound of the word "Allah" could be thicker (Allawh) or thinner (Allah) depending on the sentence. 4- The Aramaic word "hhla (read from right to left)", which is transliterated as "elahh" which means "GOD" is pronounced as "El-aw" as show above. 5- The Aramaic word "hla (read from right to left)", which is transliterated as "elah" which means "oak" is pronounced as "Ay-law" also as shown above. 6- "Allah" in Arabic is pronounced as "Al-lawh" or "Al-lah" depending on the sentence that it is used in. In Arabic, the sound of the word "Allah" could be thicker (Allawh) or thinner (Allah) depending on the sentence. 7- The Hebew word "Elohim" is the plural of "Elowah", which is derived from the Aramaic word "Alaha", or "Elahh"; the same as the Arabic word "Allah" or "Allawh" in pronunciation. If we pronounce the words "Allah" in Arabic and "Elahh (pronounced as 'El-aw')" in Aramaic, then we would hear almost the same exact word In Arabic it is important to know that the letter "h" is inserted at the end of every word that ends with the "a" sound. For instance, take the name "Osama". Although it is pronounced as "Osama", but in Arabic it is written as "Osamah". If you pronounce "Osama" and pay close attention to your pronunciation, then you would notice that you are pronouncing it as "Osamah". There is a small "h" pronunciation at the end of it. Take another example "Maria". In Arabic, it is written as "Mariah", because of the slight "h" pronunciation at the end of it. "Angela" is also written as "Angelah" and so on. Arabic does not ignore the slight "h" pronunciation at the end of the words that have the "a" sound at the end of them. In the case of "Allah". In Arabic, it is in many cases pronounced heavily as "Alla" and slightly as "Allah" unless the person purposely pronounces the "h", which would then be pronounced heavily as "Allah". In the case of the Aramaic word "El-law (hhla)" above, if you pronouce the word, then you will notice a slight pronunciation of the letter "h". The pronunciation of the word "El-law" is pronounced heavily as "El-law" or "El-la", but it is also pronounced slightly as "El-lah" or "El-lawh" or "Al-lah" or "Allah". Arabic as I said inserts the letter "h" at the end of the words that end with the "a" pronunciation, thus making "Osama" be "Osamah", "Maria" be "Mariah", "Alla" be "Allah", etc... "El-law" or "El-lawh" in Aramaic means "GOD", while "Eloi" in Aramaic means "My GOD" as Jesus used the word "Eloi" when he was put on the cross and said "My GOD My GOD why have you forsaken me? (Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachtani?)....(Mark 15:34)" In Arabic, "GOD" means "Allah", and "My GOD" means "Ilahi" or "Elahi" which is derived from the word "Allah". TO BE CONTINUD....... |
deSika: so let me take it that Moses spoke to Isrealites about Allah but when their city was destroyed they now started using Yahweh. therefore can i say Yahweh is not Allah that the isrealites have left their original God Allah.MEANING OF YAHWEH FROM BIBLE There are Christians who tend to make a point that the Bible mentions in Exodus 3:14 that the name of God is “Yahweh” or “Jehovah” (depends on where one puts the vowels) but this name does not appear in the Quran. Hence they claim that the Quran cannot be the Word of God and Prophet Muhammad (saw) cannot be a Messenger of God, because there is no reference to the personal name of God which appears in the Old Testament 6823 times YHWH (Yahweh) in the Bible Let’s first read the concerned verse in the Bible in context: Moses said to God, "Suppose I go to the Israelites and say to them, 'The God of your fathers has sent me to you,' and they ask me, 'What is his name?' Then what shall I tell them?" God said to Moses, "I am who I am. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: 'I AM has sent me to you.'" God also said to Moses, "Say to the Israelites, 'The LORD, the God of your fathers—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob—has sent me to you.' This is my name forever, the name by which I am to be remembered from generation to generation. – [Exodus 3:13-15] Yahweh/Jehovah, to prove that he is really a Messenger of God. At any rate, it appears that the name was no longer pronounced after the destruction of the Temple.” Moreover we are also informed by the same encyclopedia that “the modern Jews are as uncertain of the real pronunciation of the Sacred name as their Christian contemporaries”. Hence one thing has been made apparent that neither the Jews nor the Christians know the true pronunciation of this word. This word was considered to be ineffable by the Jews and thus with time people lost the knowledge of its true pronunciation. Meaning of YHWH (Yahweh) As it was made apparent that we do not know how to pronounce the word “YHWH”, we must now look and understand what this word means so as to get an understanding of the word itself. The Jewish Encyclopedia informs us that the meaning of the name “YHWH” is “‘He who is self-existing, self-sufficient’, or, more concretely, ‘He who lives’”. Hence in simplest of terms “YHWH” means The Living and Self-Subsisting. Did Jesus use the name YHWH? Up till now two things have been made clear; the real pronunciation of the word is not available and that the meaning of this word is “self-existing and self sufficient”, in short “He who lives”. So now it must be established whether Jesus did use this name Yahweh in any place. The only verse which Christendom can quote to prove that Jesus used this word is in the Gospel of John which is as below: “I tell you the truth,” Jesus answered, “before Abraham was born, I am!” – [John 8:58] As we see that the verse consists of the phrase “I am”, the Christians say that Jesus has used the word YHWH. So let us take a look at the Greek version of the verse as we all know that the biblical manuscripts with the Christian world are in the language Greek although there is no concrete evidence that Jesus knew this language The words translated as “I am” are: ἐγώ εἰμί Transliterated as: egō eimi Pronounced as: eg-o' i-mee' |
