LET ME START FROM QURAN WHERE GOD CHALLENGED JEWS AND CHRISTIANS:

“The Jews and Christians believed that Ibrahim (Abraham) is the ancestor of the Jews. So, Allah revealed: “O People of the Scripture! Why will ye argue about Abraham, when the Torah and the Gospel were not revealed till after him? Have ye then no sense?” (Al `Imran: 65)

Then Allah Almighty says the truth about Ibrahim that he was not a Jew or a Christian, but a “Muslim” submitting to the Will of Allah: “Abraham was neither a Jew nor a Christian; rather he was an upright man who had surrendered to Allah (Muslim), and he was not of the idolaters.”(Al `Imran: 67)”

Quran 2:40- Or say you that Abrahamn, Ismail, Isaac, jacob and 12 sons of jacob were jews or Christian? Say, Do you know better or does God know better... That they all were muslims. And who is more unjust than he who conceals the testimony..

The Holy Kabah built by Abraham and his son Ismail is in Mecca. This name Mecca has been mentioned one and another name for Mecca is Bakka, depending on the dialect of the tribe. This also has been mentioned one time in Surah 3:96

3:96The first House (of worship) appointed for men was that at Bakka: Full of blessing and of guidance for all kinds of beings:

Amasing enough, this word Baka was mentioned by Prophet David in his Psalm 84:5

After the Prophet of Allah, Isa ibn Maryam (Christ), there was a long period without a Prophet. Light and knowledge disappeared. Christianity fell into disrepute and became a matter of sport for the corrupt and the hypocrites. From the very beginning, Christianity had been subjected to alterations by extremists and to interpretations by the ignorant. The simple teaching of the Messiah(Christ) was buried beneath the transgressors' evil behavior.

The Jews had become a society obsessed with rites and rules lacking all life and spirit. Apart from that, Judaism a tribal religion, did not carry a message to the world nor a summons to other nations nor mercy to humanity at large.

Buddhism, a religion widespread in India and Central Asia, was transformed into outright paganism. Altars were built and images of the Buddha set up wherever it went.
Hinduism, the basic religion of India, is distinguished by its millions of idols and gods, and by the unjust separation that exists between its castes, discrimination between the castes being a harsh reality of daily life.

The Arabs also suffered from a paganism and idol-worship of the most abhorrent kind that had no parallel, even in pagan Hindu India. They were involved in shirk and adopted gods other than Allah. Every tribe, region or city had a particular idol. Indeed, every house had a private idol. Inside the Ka'bah, the house which Ibrahim (peace be upon him) had built for the worship of Allah alone, and in its courtyard, stood three hundred and sixty idols


Idol-worship in Makkah

The Quraysh continued to hold to the religion of Ibrahim and Isma'il, glorifying the creed of tawhid and the worship of Allah alone, until Amr ibn Luhayy became their chief. He was the first to deviate from the religion of Isma'il and to set up idols which he encouraged people to worship. Once he had travelled from Makkah to Syria on business where he saw people worshipping idols. He was so impressed that he brought some idols back to Makkah and set them up, commanding the people there to venerate them.

Traditionally some people would take a few stones from the Haram, the sanctuary, with them when they travelled from Makkah as a token of respect for the holy spot. This led to the day when they began to worship any stones they liked. Later generations lost track of the reasons why stones were originally venerated and the Quraysh were happy to worship stone idols just like the people were doing in surrounding countries.


The Prophet is sent to the Arabian peninsula
Allah chose the Arabs to receive the call of Islam and to convey it to the furthest corners of the world. These people were simple-hearted with no complicated ideologies which would have been difficult to remove. While the Greeks, Persians and people of India were arrogant about their many sciences, their fine literature and their splendid civilisation, the Arabs followed only simple traditions related to their desert existence. It was not difficult to sweep these away and replace them with a fresh vision.
The Arabs were in a natural state. When it was difficult for them to grasp the truth, they fought it. However, when the covering was removed from their eyes, they welcomed the new beginning and, having embraced it, would risk their lives for it. They were honest and trustworthy, hardy, courageous and fine horsemen. They also possessed a will of iron.


In Makkah, a city in the Arabian peninsula, was the Ka'bah which had been built by Ibrahim and Isma'il (peace be upon them). In it, Allah alone was to be worshipped and it was to be a centre for calling people to tawhid for all time. Tawhid, meaning the Oneness of Allah, is in sharp contrast with the worship of idols.
The first house established for people was that at Makkah, a blessed place and a guidance for the worlds. (3:97)

IS YAHWEH REFERRED TO IN THE QURAN

There are Christians who tend to make a point that the Bible mentions in Exodus 3:14 that the name of God is “Yahweh” or “Jehovah” (depends on where one puts the vowels) but this name does not appear in the Quran. Hence they claim that the Quran cannot be the Word of God and Prophet Muhammad (saw) cannot be a Messenger of God, because there is no reference to the personal name of God which appears in the Old Testament 6823 times

YHWH (Yahweh) in the Bible

Let’s first read the concerned verse in the Bible in context:

Moses said to God, "Suppose I go to the Israelites and say to them, 'The God of your fathers has sent me to you,' and they ask me, 'What is his name?' Then what shall I tell them?"

God said to Moses, "I am who I am. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: 'I AM has sent me to you.'"

God also said to Moses, "Say to the Israelites, 'The LORD, the God of your fathers—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob—has sent me to you.' This is my name forever, the name by which I am to be remembered from generation to generation. – [Exodus 3:13-15]


Yahweh/Jehovah, to prove that he is really a Messenger of God.

“Yahweh” and “Jehovah” are two pronunciations formed by humans much later. Although the Jewish Encyclopedia labels the word “Jehovah” to be a philological impossibility, the Christian world tends to use this pronunciation till this day. Coming back to the pronunciation of this word YHWH, the Catholic Encyclopedia brings it to our attention:

“According to a Rabbinic tradition the real pronunciation of Jehovah ceased to be used at the time of Simeon the Just, who was, according to Maimonides, a contemporary of Alexander the Great. At any rate, it appears that the name was no longer pronounced after the destruction of the Temple.”

Moreover we are also informed by the same encyclopedia that “the modern Jews are as uncertain of the real pronunciation of the Sacred name as their Christian contemporaries”.

Hence one thing has been made apparent that neither the Jews nor the Christians know the true pronunciation of this word. This word was considered to be ineffable by the Jews and thus with time people lost the knowledge of its true pronunciation.


Meaning of YHWH (Yahweh)

As it was made apparent that we do not know how to pronounce the word “YHWH”, we must now look and understand what this word means so as to get an understanding of the word itself. The Jewish Encyclopedia informs us that the meaning of the name “YHWH” is “‘He who is self-existing, self-sufficient’, or, more concretely, ‘He who lives’”. Hence in simplest of terms “YHWH” means The Living and Self-Subsisting.


Did Jesus use the name YHWH?

Up till now two things have been made clear; the real pronunciation of the word is not available and that the meaning of this word is “self-existing and self sufficient”, in short “He who lives”. So now it must be established whether Jesus did use this name Yahweh in any place. The only verse which Christendom can quote to prove that Jesus used this word is in the Gospel of John which is as below:

“I tell you the truth,” Jesus answered, “before Abraham was born, I am!” – [John 8:58]

As we see that the verse consists of the phrase “I am”, the Christians say that Jesus has used the word YHWH. So let us take a look at the Greek version of the verse as we all know that the biblical manuscripts with the Christian world are in the language Greek although there is no concrete evidence that Jesus knew this language


The words translated as “I am” are: ἐγώ εἰμί

Transliterated as: egō eimi

Pronounced as: eg-o' i-mee'

"Islam" is explained both as a verb and as a noun. The reason for this is to help the non-Muslims understand that "Islam" has always been there for all of the people since the time of Adam, peace be upon him. This is in the form of the verb, "Islam." Anyone who "Islams" is therefore, a "Muslim."
As regards what the prophet Muhammad (saw) brought this is clearly the noun form of the same word, "Islam." Yet, at the same time we still can understand it as a verb.

The religion of the people who came after their prophets always became named by them in ways that they could divide up themselves and distinguish themselves from other groups. The Muslims have tried to do the same thing even today. The idea of dividing up into different groups is something that Allah forbid us to do in the Quran and it is something that the devil loves to see us do.

When the people begin to corrupt and change the message, they give some name to it that makes it distinct for them. Usually they chose a noun such as a person, place or thing. The examples are many, but let me mention the Hindus, from the nation of Hind, the Jews from the tribe of Judah, the Christians from The Christ, the Buddhists from the name of their Buddha. All of these are "nouns" right? So that is where they took the names.

Almighty Allah said:And those who have been given the Book differ not except after the knowledge has come to them out of mutual jealousy;And whoever disbelieves in the signs of God,Then surely God is quick to make up (his) account.(Quran 3:19)

Say thou, “We believe in God, and what has been sent on us, And what was sent on Abraham, And Ishmael, And Isaac, And Jacob, And His children,And what was given to Moses, And Jesus, And the prophets from the Lord.We split not one from the rest – And to Him are we obedient (Muslims).”

And whoever seeks a faith other than Al-Islam Then never shall it be accepted from him And he shall in the Future be a looser.(Quran 3:85)

ISLAM is arabic word which means surrender to d will of God, Those who practice religion of islam are called Muslim. Muslim is an arabic word and which means worshiper of none except Allah alone.

Also Allah is an Arabic word which means God, Supreme Being. In Hebrew language God means ELOHA but jews use plural form ELOHIM. It is not subject to plurality or gender. Not only the name of Allah is strange, but also the way muslims worship Allah with ablution, bowing, kneeling, prostration and fasting is strange to non-muslim, but not strange to all prophets.

While ablution (washing of face, arms, feet and moistening of d hair) prior to worship is abandoned by modern christian, it is still required by muslim and previous prophets, as seen in the following passages of the Bible: Exodus 40:31-32

Although Paul made many changes in jesus teaching, he was still faithful in respect to ablution(purification) as seen in Act 21:26;
26 Then Paul took the men, and the next day purifying himself with them entered into the temple, to signify the accomplishment of the days of purification, until that an offering should be offered for every one of them.


Muslim Women perform their prayer with their head covered as 1 cor 11:5, 6 and 13;
5 But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven.

6 For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered.

DESIRE FOR POWER AND GLORY

The suggestion that Muhammad(saw) was actuated by a desire for power and glory is difficult to sustain. To begin with, Muhammad(saw) has universally been acknowledge as one of the most successful leaders in human history. A man with his qualities could claim leadership and assume power even without claiming prophethood. In fact it would have been easier that way.

Secondly, the Quran states very clearly that no one including Muhammad himself can produce anything similar to the Quran. If he were after power and glory he would have claimed authorship of the Quran whose beauty and sublimity dwarfed all other books.

Despite his social standing as the Prophet and his heavy responsibilities as a stateman, Muhammad(saw) used to help with domestic chores. He mended his garments, repaired his shoes and milked his goat. He talked and listened patiently to anyone who approached him. So much so that the Quran says his dettactors complained saying:

9:61:Among them are men who molest the Prophet and say, "He is (all) ear." Say, "He listens to what is best for you: he believes in Allah, has faith in the Believers, and is a Mercy to those of you who believe." But those who molest the Apostle will have a grievous penalty.

It has also been reported that once some people came to the Prophet and addressed him in the following words; "O messenger of Allah, best of us and the son of the best of us, our leader and son of our leader" His reply was;

O people, say what you said previously or part of it and do not let Satan mislead you. I am Mahammad a slave of Allah and His Messenger. I do not like your raising my status above the status which Allah, the Might and Glorious, has given me.

The death of Muhammad(saw) most beloved son Ibrahim coincided with the eclipse of the sun and people regarded it as a miracle from God that heavens and earth were mourning the death of ibrahim. Muhammad was very angry with them and said;
"The sun and the moon are two signs out of God's sign. They are not eclipsed because of the death or birth of any human being"


Muhammad(saw) forbade people to make his graveyard a place of worship, saying, "Do not make my grade a site for festivals" and he prayed to his Lord, "O my Lord, do not let my grave be made into an idol to be worshipped" And he categorically warned Muslims not overpraise him: Do not glorify me in the same manner as the Christians glorify Jesus, son of mary, but say, He is a slave of Allah and His Messenger. (Hadith)

Why should he author a book which command him to declare to the people that he was a powerless and had no knowledge of unseen;
Q7:188:Say: "I have no power over any good or harm to myself except as Allah willeth. If I had knowledge of the unseen, I should have multiplied all good, and no evil should have touched me: I am but a warner, and a bringer of glad tidings to those who have faith."

Or why should he authored a book which command him to say he had come with no new doctrine nor did he expect that such Book would revealed to him and he should therefore announce to the people that he is a mere human being like any other human being;
46:9:Say: "I am no bringer of new-fangled doctrine among the apostles, nor do I know what will be done with me or with you. I follow but that which is revealed to me by inspiration; I am but a Warner open and clear."



If the desire for power had motivated Muhammad(saw) to consciously compose the Quran then it is very difficult to account for the existence of such verses

MATERIAL GAIN AS THE MOTIVE

Nevertheless, one might argue that the easiest way is not always the best. Probably, Muhammad(saw) was after big game, he therefore attributed the Quran to God in order to benefit more.. This hypothesis is however, at variance with historical evidence.

Muhammad(saw) financial position was better off b4 than after his prophethood. When he was 25 (15 yrs before he claimed prophethood) he married and lived comfortably with Khadijah who was a rich businesswoman. After his prophethood his financial position and life standard was unenvitable.

In a collection of Hadith by An-Nawawi, one of the Muhammad's wives, Aisha, Narrates that a month or two month would go by without fire being lit in their house becos there was nothing to cook. They survive on date and water. Sometimes this diet was supplemented with goat milk from the people of madina.

In fact there was a sort of protest by his wives as to why they shud go on living in poor condition when they could wallow in luxury. The Prophet was disturbed by his discontent. A revelation came commanding him to tell his wifes to choose either God and His messenger or the fleeting glitter of this world:
33:28:O Prophet! Say to thy Consorts: "If it be that ye desire the life of this World, and its glitter,- then come! I will provide for your enjoyment and set you free in a handsome manner

33:29:But if ye seek Allah and His Apostle, and the Home of the Hereafter, verily Allah has prepared for the well-doers amongst you a great reward.


Someone had also inquired of Aisha about the bedding of the prophet in her house. Her reply was: "it comprises of leather filled with the bark of dateipalm"

It has also been reported that at the time of his death and in spite of all his victories and achievements, Muhammad(saw) was in debt, and his shield was in the hands of a Jewish citizen of Madina as a collateral for that debt.


There are numerous other citations which show that Muhammad(saw) had lived a consistently frugal life from the beginning of his apostleship until his death. The ideal that he was after material gain is inconsistent with historical evidence.

As the NEW CATHOLIC ENCYCLOPEDIA OBSERVES: " A case has been made that mere economic gain was the inspiration for Muhammad's religious revolution. That case does not suit the facts as they are known (new catholic encylopedia, vol. IX, p. 1001)

1.MUHAMMAD AS THE AUTHOR

The Quran states explicity:26:192-93
26:192:Verily this is a Revelation from the Lord of the Worlds:
26:193:With it came down the spirit of Faith and Truth-

Moreover its style of address gives the impression that it emanates from the Creator to the creature. All chapters except chapter nine, begin with formular: IN THE NAME OF GOD, MOST GRACIOUS, MOST MERCIFUL'. The address is in the first Person and in numerous places God commands Muhammad (SWA) to say, I.e "Qul. Infact this command to say appear 332 times in the Quran. Other imperatives like "proclaim yourself" "proclaim" or "recite", "glorify your Lord" and many others have also been used.

The Quran nevertheless goes on to make a categorical assertion that no human being or jin can produce it: 17:88
Say: "If the whole of mankind and Jinns were to gather together to produce the like of this Qur'an, they could not produce the like thereof, even if they backed up each other with help and support.

Quran also spells out the method of disproving it for those who doubt its divine sources:
2:23:And if ye are in doubt as to what We have revealed from time to time to Our servant, then produce a Sura like thereunto; and call your witnesses or helpers (If there are any) besides Allah, if your (doubts) are true

2:24:But if ye cannot- and of a surety ye cannot- then fear the Fire whose fuel is men and stones,- which is prepared for those who reject Faith.


RESPONDING TO THE CHARGE THAT MOHAMMAD WAS THE AUTHOR, Quran command him to reply back:
10:15:But when Our Clear Signs are rehearsed unto them, those who rest not their hope on their meeting with Us, Say: "Bring us a reading other than this, or change this," Say: "It is not for me, of my own accord, to change it: I follow naught but what is revealed unto me: if I were to disobey my Lord, I should myself fear the penalty of a Great Day (to come)."

10:16:Say: "If Allah had so willed, I should not have rehearsed it to you, nor would He have made it known to you. A whole life-time before this have I tarried amongst you: will ye not then understand?"

Muhammad had lived amongst them for 40yrs, without showing any signs of great learning or even a flair for poetry; he was in fact illiterate. How could they explain the fact that now he recited the Quran which is unparalleled in sublimity? In fact addressing Muhammad himself the Quran says:

29:48:And thou wast not (able) to recite a Book before this (Book came), nor art thou (able) to transcribe it with thy right hand: In that case, indeed, would the talkers of vanities have doubted.

Apart from these Quotation from the Quran Muhammad(SWA) himself did make several statements to the effect that he was not the author of the Quran.

Allah's Daughters: el-Lat, el-Uzza, and Manat
Muslims today do not worship Allah's daughters and view them as pagan deities. Having said that, it is important to note that Muhammad himself commanded his followers offer prayers to these "Allah's daughters". He later retracted it and blamed it on the Devil.

53:23 These are nothing but names which ye have devised,- ye and your fathers,- for which Allah has sent down no authority. They follow nothing but conjecture and what their own souls desire!- Even though there has already come to them Guidance from their Lord!

Do you know Prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him) entrusted his companions to destroy the idols Al-Lat, Al-Uzza and Manat and they were destroyed?

"They also derived the name for their idol Al-`Uzza from Allah's Name Al-`Aziz. Al-`Uzza was a tree on which the idolators placed a monument and curtains, in the area of Nakhlah, between Makkah and At-Ta'if. The Quraysh revered Al-`Uzza.'' During the battle of Uhud, Abu Sufyan said, "We have Al-`Uzza, but you do not have Al-`Uzza.'' Allah's Messenger replied, (Say, "Allah is Our Supporter, but you have no support.'')

"Al-Lat belonged to the tribe of Thaqif in the area of At-Ta'if. Banu Mu`attib were the custodians of Al-Lat and its servants.'' the Prophet sent Al-Mughirah bin Shu`bah and Abu Sufyan Sakhr bin Harb to destroy Al-Lat. They carried out the Prophet's command and built a Masjid in its place in the city of At-Ta'if.

"When the Messenger of Allah conquered Makkah, he sent Khalid bin Al-Walid to the area of Nakhlah where the idol of Al-`Uzza was erected on three trees of a forest. Khalid cut the three trees and approached the house built around it and destroyed it. When he went back to the Prophet and informed him of the story, the Prophet said to him,»

(Go back and finish your mission, for you have not finished it.) Khalid went back and when the custodians who were also its servants of Al-`Uzza saw him, they started invoking by calling Al-`Uzza! When Khalid approached it, he found a naked woman whose hair was untidy and who was throwing sand on her head. Khalid killed her with the sword and went back to the Messenger of Allah , who said to him

53:19 Have ye seen Al-Lat. and Al-Uzza,
53:20 And another, the third goddess, Manat?
53:21 What! for you the male sex, and for Him, the female?
53:22 Behold, such would be indeed a division most unfair!

Allah mentioned these three here because they were more famous than the others


Allah now continue with verse that;
53:23 These are nothing but names which ye have devised,- ye and your fathers,- for which Allah has sent down no authority. They follow nothing but conjecture and what their own souls desire!- Even though there has already come to them Guidance from their Lord

"If your Lord had so willed he could have made humanity one people, but they will not cease to disagree. Except those on whom your Lord has bestowed His mercy. And for this He did create them. If Allah had willed, he could have created humanity as one community united by a single frame of mind. This is how He created the angels. They all obey Allah with single-minded and unquestioning devotion. However, He decided to endow humanity with free will and make them a creation that could be tried and that would be tested. He wanted to give them the chance to accept either guidance or error. He wanted to give them the choice between good and evil.

Allah describes this special creation of His - the human being - in the following way:

"Had there not come upon the human being a period of time when he was a thing not worthy of mention? Verily, we created the human being from a drop of mingled sperm in order to try him, so We gave him the gifts of hearing and sight." [Sûrah al-Insân: 2]

"Verily We have created the human being into toil and struggle. Does he think that none has power over him? He may say: 'Wealth have I squandered in abundance.' Does he think that none can see him? Have We not made for him a pair of eyes? And a tongue and a pair of lips? And shown him the two ways?" [Sûrah al-Balad: 10]

"We showed him the way: whether to be grateful or ungrateful." [Sûrah al-Insân: 3]

How Banu Qurayza tribe broken their treaty of non-hostility with the Muslims

Firstly, in the norms of ancient tribal warfare, all able-bodied males were considered combatants. Fighting for one’s tribe was a collective duty for survival, and in ancient societies when life expectancy was not as high, the onset of puberty was often the mark that a young male was ready to be initiated into the tribe as a warrior (or for adulthood in general).

The Qurayza, a tribe who lived in Medina alongside the Muslims, had broken their treaty of non-hostility with the Muslims at the height of the Battle of the Trench, and intended to attack them from within, but before they could, the siege on Madina suddenly ended, leaving the Qurayza alone and caught red-handed. They quickly fortified themselves, and finally surrendered after a 25-day siege of their fort.

Those punished for treason were all who qualified as fighting men of the tribe, since they were the ones who would have taken part in the hostilities out of tribal obligation. Excluded were the pre-pubescent boys, and one elderly man (though he later chose punishment voluntarily).

Some of the Qurayza and their families had broken ranks with their tribe early on and left to seek protection from the Muslims, and they were granted it; others were afforded amnesty through the intercession of some Muslims, due to some good deed they had done in the past. The rest, even though those who now regretted and disagreed with the treason, chose to be judged with those guilty out of tribal loyalties.

The Mosaic Penalty is Pronounced After Arbitration

As for choosing the sentence, the Prophet (Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) gave the Qurayza tribe the choice of whom from amongst the Muslims they desired to judge the punishment for their treason. They selected Sa’d ibn Mu’adh, the Ansari chief who was a former ally before Islam, but was now on his deathbed after being wounded during the Battle of the Trench, which the Qurayza helped provoke through their treason. [al-Salihi, Subul al-Huda wal-Rashad]

Sa’d swiftly pronounced that all fighters would be executed, and the women and children become captives. He claimed his decision was based on the Mosaic penalty for their crime; he was referring to the passages of Deuteronomy 20:12-14. As a hadith in Bukhari narrates, this was the second time the Qurayza intended hostilities towards their Muslim neighbors; after the first incident, they had been forgiven, while another affiliated tribe was expelled from Madina. The second violation, however, was an existential threat, as it was an act of treason in the thick of a siege by the Meccans.

HIJAB and NIQAB

EXPLAINATION:What is being discussed is mischief of “wicked” or “bad” disbelievers  who are being asked to desist from their wickedness, for if they do so (it doesn’t say that they have to convert), their past wickedness would be forgiven  

[8.39] And fight with them until there is no more persecution and religion should be only for Allah; but if they desist, then surely Allah sees what they do.  
EXPLAINATION: establishes two reasons by which Muslims can fight: 1) to end persecution 2)that will be at the time when 'Iesa(Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary) will descend on the earth, and he will not accept any other religion except Islam ( we, muslim believed that jesus christ is still coming back b4 the end of world)

[8.40] And if they turn back, then know that Allah is your Patron; most excellent is the Patron and most excellent the Helper.  
EXPLAINATION: clarifies that if the mischief-makers turn away, Muslims shouldn’t worry about them (in other words, Muslims should leave them alone) for God is their Protector and Helper.

[8.41] And know that whatever thing you gain, a fifth of it is for Allah and for the Apostle and for the near of kin and the orphans and the needy and the wayfarer, if you believe in Allah and in that which We revealed to Our servant, on the day of distinction, the day on which the two parties met; and Allah has power over all things.
EXPLAINATION: is simply about the distribution of booty gained from these wars. 


The idea is for kuffar (disbelievers) to cease ’fitnah’ (persecution). If you interpret this to mean that they should cease their “disbelief,” it doesn’t make any sense because numerous other verses of Quran would contradict that, such as: 

[9.6] And if one of the idolaters seek protection from you, grant him protection till he hears the word of Allah, then make him attain his place of safety; this is because they are a people who do not know.

This verse has been misquoted out of context. Here is the full passage:

4:88-91

89:They but wish that ye should reject Faith, as they do, and thus be on the same footing (as they): so take not friends from their ranks until they forsake the domain of evil in the way of God (from what is forbidden). But if they revert to [open] enmity, seize them and slay them wherever ye find them; and (in any case) take no friends or helpers from their ranks.

90: Except those who join a group between whom and you there is a treaty (Of peace), or those who approach you with hearts restraining them from fighting you as well as fighting their own people. If God had pleased, He could have given them power over you, and they would have fought you: therefore if they withdraw from you but fight you not, and (instead) send you (guarantees of) peace, then God hath opened no way for you (to war against them).

91:Others you will find that wish to gain your confidence as well as that of their people: every time they are sent back to temptation, they succumb thereto; if they withdraw not from you nor give you (guarantees) of peace besides restraining their hands, seize them and slay them wherever ye get them; in their case We have provided you with a clear argument against them


Now tell me honestly, do these verses give a free permission to kill any one anywhere? These verses were revealed by God to Prophet Muhammad (SAW), at the time when Muslims were attacked by the non-Muslims of Makkah on a regular basis. They were frightening the Muslim community of Madinah.
One may say using the contemporary jargon that there were constant terrorist attacks on Madinah and in this situation Muslims were given permission to fight back the “terrorist”. These verses are not a permission for “terrorism” but they are a warning against the “terrorists.” But even in these warnings you can see how much restraint and care is emphasized.

ISLAM is arabic word which means surrender to d will of God, Those who practice religion of islam are called Muslim. Muslim is an arabic word and which means worshiper of none except Allah alone.

Also Allah is an Arabic word which means God, Supreme Being. In Hebrew language God means ELOHA but jews use plural form ELOHIM. It is not subject to plurality or gender. It is confusing to use the word God as many English-speaking Christian still consider Jesus as God, even the word creator is also confusing, as many christians still maintain that jesus had created the world.

Not only the name of Allah is strange, but also the way muslims worship Allah with ablution, bowing, kneeling, prostration and fasting is strange to non-muslim, but not strange to all prophets.

While ablution (washing of face, arms, feet and moistening of d hair) prior to worship is abandoned by modern christian, it is still required by muslim and previous prophets, as seen in the following passages of the Bible: Exodus 40:31-32

Quran2:190-194
190: Fight in the cause of God those who fight you, but do not transgress limits; for God loves not transgressors.

191: And kill them wherever ye catch them, and turn them out from where they have turned you out; for persecution and oppression are worse than slaughter; but fight them not at the Sacred Mosque, unless they (first) fight you there; but if they fight you, kill them. Such is the reward of those who reject faith.

192: But if they cease, God is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

193:And fight them on until there is no more tumult or oppression, and there prevail justice and faith in God; but if they cease, let there be no hostility except to those who practice oppression.

194:The prohibited month, for the prohibited month, and so for all things prohibited, there is the law of equality. If then any one transgresses the prohibition against you, transgress ye likewise against him. But fear (the punishment of) God, and know that God is with those who restrain themselves.

These verse were revealed at a time when Muslims of Madinah were under constant attack from the Pagans of Makkans. Some of example would be when the Makkans conducted the public crucifixion of the companion of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), Khubaib bin Adi. These would be classified as ‘terrorist activities’ according to the modern usage of the term.

So what does this verse say in this context? “Fight in the cause of God those who fight you”, “unless they (first) fight you there” - the context of this verse applies to those who initiate the attack against Muslims.

And even after they attack, the verse makes it clear: “But if they cease, God is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.” And it also makes clear the purpose for what Muslims fight: “fight them on until there is no more tumult or oppression, and there prevail justice and faith in God”. It is the duty of Muslims to defend humanity from oppression and persecution and to establish justice.

Historically, fighting back against the aggressors was prohibited during the thirteen years of the Meccan period. After the migration to Medina and the establishment of the Islamic state, Muslims were concerned with how to defend themselves against aggression from their enemies. The aforementioned verses were revealed to enable them to protect the newly formed state by fighting in self-defence against those who fought them. However, the Qur’an clearly prohibits aggression.

The verses explain that fighting is only for self-defence. Thus, a Muslim cannot commit aggression and kill innocent men, women, children, the sick, the elderly, monks, priests, or those who do not wish to fight. A Muslim is also mandated not to destroy plant life of livestock

The Night Journey – Al-Isra’ and Al-Miraj

Al-Isra’ and Al-Miraj (the Night Journey and Ascension) refer to the miraculous journey that Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) experienced. Unlike what some people claim, that journey involved both the body and soul of the Prophet.

On that night, Jibreel came to the Prophet and told him to circumambulate the Kaaba seven times. At the Kaaba, Jibreel told him that he (Prophet Muhammad) was going to Al-Aqsa Mosque, wherefrom they shall both ascend the seventh heaven to meet Almighty Allah.

Prophet Muhammad started his journey of ascension from Al-Miraj Rock. In company with Angel Jibreel, he reached the seventh heaven within seconds. Today, a spacecraft traveling at a speed of 7,000 KPH takes three years to reach the nearest planet


Almighty Allah says,
“Glory to (Allah) Who did take His servant for a Journey by night from the Sacred Mosque to the Farthest Mosque, whose precincts We did bless,- in order that We might show him some of Our Signs: for He is the One Who heareth and seeth (all things). We gave Moses the Book, and made it a Guide to the Children of Israel, (commanding): “Take not other than Me as Disposer of (your) affairs.” O ye that are sprung from those whom We carried (in the Ark) with Noah! Verily he was a devotee most grateful.” (Surah Al Isra’ 17:1–3)


It is narrated on the authority of Anas b. Malik that the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said:

"I was brought al-Buraq Who is an animal white and long, larger than a donkey but smaller than a mule, who would place his hoof a distance equal to the range of version. I mounted it and came to the Mosque (Bait Maqdis in Jerusalem), then tethered it to the ring used by the prophets. I entered the mosque and prayed two rak'ahs in it, and then came out and Jibreel brought me a vessel of wine and a vessel of milk. I chose the milk, and Jibreel said: "You have chosen the natural thing." Then he took me to heaven.

Jibreel then asked the (gate of heaven) to be opened and he was asked who he was. He replied: "Jibreel." He was again asked: "Who is with you?" He (Jibreel) said: "Muhammad." It was said: "Has he been sent for?" Jibreel replied: "He has indeed been sent for." And (the door of the heaven) was opened for us and lo! we saw Adam. He welcomed me and prayed for my good.

Then we ascended to the second heaven. Jibreel (peace be upon him) (asked the door of heaven to be opened), and he was asked who he was. He answered: "Jibreel;" and was again asked: "Who is with you?" He replied: "Muhammad." It was said: "Has he been sent for?" He replied: "He has indeed been sent for." The gate was opened. When I entered 'Isa b. Maryam and Yahya b. Zakariya (peace be upon both of them), cousins from the maternal side. welcomed me and prayed for my good.

Then I was taken to the third heaven and Jibreel asked for the opening (of the door). He was asked: "Who are you?" He replied: "Jibreel." He was (again) asked: "Who is with you?" He replied: "Muhammad." It was said: "Has he been sent for?" He replied: "He has indeed been sent for." (The gate) was opened for us and I saw Yusuf (peace of Allah be upon him) who had been given half of (world) beauty. He welcomed me prayed for my well-being. Then he ascended with us to the fourth heaven.

Jibreel (peace be upon him) asked for the (gate) to be opened, and it was said: "Who is he?" He replied: "Jibreel." It was (again) said: "Who is with you?" He said: "Muhammad." It was said: "Has he been sent for?" He replied: "He has indeed been sent for." The (gate) was opened for us, and lo! Idris (peace of Allah be upon him) was there. He welcomed me and prayed for my well-being (About him) Allah, the Exalted and the Glorious, has said: "We elevated him (Idris) to the exalted position" (Quran, Surah Maryam 19:57).

Then he ascended with us to the fifth heaven and Jibreel asked for the (gate) to be opened. It was said: "Who is he?" He replied: "Jibreel." It was (again) said: "Who is with thee?" He replied: "Muhammad." It was said: "Has he been sent for?" He replied: "He has indeed been sent for." (The gate) was opened for us and then I was with Harun (Aaron) (peace of Allah be upon him). He welcomed me prayed for my well-being.

Then I was taken to the sixth heaven. Jibreel (peace be upon him) asked for the door to be opened. It was said: "Who is he?" He replied: "Jibreel." It was said: "Who is with thee?" He replied: "Muhammad." It was said: "Has he been sent for?" He replied: "He has indeed been sent for." (The gate) was opened for us and there I was with Musa (Moses peace be upon him) He welcomed me and prayed for my well-being.

Then I was taken up to the seventh heaven. Jibreel asked the (gate) to be opened. It was said: "Who is he?" He said: "Jibreel." It was said: "Who is with thee?" He replied: "Muhammad." It was said: "Has he been sent for?" He replied: "He has indeed been sent for." (The gate) was opened for us and there I found Ibrahim (Abraham, peace be upon him) reclining against the Bayt-ul-Ma'mur and there enter into it seventy thousand angels every day, never to visit (this place) again. Then I was taken to Sidrat-ul-Muntaha whose leaves were like elephant ears and its fruit like big earthenware vessels. And when it was covered by the Command of Allah, it underwent such a change that none amongst the creation has the power to praise its beauty.

Then Allah revealed to me a revelation and He made obligatory for me fifty prayers every day and night. Then I went down to Musa (peace be upon him) and he said: "What has your Lord enjoined upon your Ummah?" I said: "Fifty prayers." He said: "Return to thy Lord and beg for reduction (in the number of prayers), for your community shall not be able to bear this burden. as I have put to test the children of Bani Israel and tried them (and found them too weak to bear such a heavy burden)." He (the Holy Prophet) said: "I went back to my Lord and said: My Lord, make things lighter for my Ummah." (The Lord) reduced five prayers for me. I went down to Musa (peace be upon him) and said: "(The Lord) reduced five (prayers) for me," He said: "Verily thy Ummah shall not be able to bear this burden; return to thy Lord and ask Him to make things lighter." I then kept going back and forth between my Lord Blessed and Exalted and Musa (peace be upon him), till He said: There are five prayers every day and night.

O Muhammad, each being credited as ten, so that makes fifty prayers. He who intends to do a good deed and does not do it will have a good deed recorded for him; and if he does it, it will be recorded for him as ten; whereas he who intends to do an evil deed and does not do, it will not be recorded for him; and if he does it, only one evil deed will be recorded. I then came down and when I came to Musa (peace be upon him) and informed him, he said: "Go back to thy Lord and ask Him to make things lighter." Upon this the Messenger of Allah remarked: "I returned to my Lord until I felt ashamed before Him."" (Sahih Muslim, Book #001, Hadith #0309)

Point of correction, jews is a religion, christianity is a religion and Islam is a religion.

Those who practice religion of islam are called Muslim. Muslim is an arabic word and which means worshiper of none except Allah alone.

Also Allah is an Arabic word which means God, Supreme Being. It is not subject to plurality or gender. It is confusing to use the word God as many English-speaking Christian still consider Jesus as God, even the word creator is also confusing, as many christians still maintain that jesus had created the world.

Not only the name of Allah is strange, but also the way muslims worship Allah with ablution, bowing, kneeling, prostration and fasting is strange to non-muslim, but not strange to all prophets.

While ablution (washing of face, arms, feet and moistening of d hair) prior to worship is abandoned by modern christian, it is still required by muslim and previous prophets, as seen in the following passages of the Bible: Exodus 40:31-32
