FamilyRe: Police Arrest Man For Marrying Wife Without Parents’ Permission (photo) by Ayo25: 9:17pm On Mar 17, 2016
Very complicated story today of one of
my acquintances in the University (Kris
Madugba), who was arrested by the
police for marrying his wife, Nono Orji,
without her parents permission or
blessings. My thoughts on the subject as with many like this, is this. Things
should never be allowed to
degenerate to this level. Parental
consent is very important in any
relationship and inspite of the ideals of
liberalism and freedom holding sway in the world today, people who are
getting married should strive to get it.
But parents have the worst guilt as far
as I am concerned. It makes no sense
to give your child all that education
and expect to control a very important decision in their life like who they will
spend the rest of their life with after
they leave your home. The essence of
all the education they have had is to
be able to make their own decisions.
Parents can talk of all their investments on their children. But yes that is
nothing short of what they deserve
since they(the children) did not asked
to be brought into the world. You
brought them into the world and its
your duty to bring them up. That does not however give you absolute
control over every area of their. Their
are many other ways parents would
certainly be rewarded for their efforts
on their children. You can love your
child but you cannot love a child more than he loves himself. Being over-
protective of your child usually results
in this kind of messy situations. If your
children insist they are sure of their
decision about who to marry, just give
them your blessings knowing fully well that they will suffer the most of
any bad consequences... BTW, the Kris
Madugba I know is a perfect
gentleman, with a good sense of
humour. I pray he pull through this.

Dss recruitment is always like that. You take the test, then interview, you are satisfied you have done well, they call your papa, mama, uncle, brother, niece, pastor, imam and so on...... Funny by the time you hear the list is out, the successful ones would have been in camp for atleast two months. Ahah, I hope y'all are not putting your eggs in one basket and hope y'all have shock absorbers cos ehn...... Some people dnt wanna hear this i know

Whenever I come across news like this, my heart bleeds. Some Nigerians are very heartless, cruel and wicked. It is bad enough and depressing for a job seeker that he has no job. For some idiots to try to take advantage of their situation really takes the biscuit. It is like hitting a man when he is down already. There are no jobs out there and if you have none to give please do not put people through any heartache. Too bad.

As usual, the kidnappers would be paid the ransome with the police helpless. Later the police would arrest innocent people and parade them while denying that they ever paid a ransome to secure the release of the girls.

Dude quit commenting, you seem to lack decorum. Whatever the reason maybe, an important goal of such should be celebrated and talks about what should be done next time in the backroom. In any sporting event, 15 mins is enough time to make things happen!
what decorum have you to tell me to stop commenting. Na ur papa get nairaland? It was an important goal and nothing more or is it the winning goal? With The kind of dull, boring and unspiring performance city have served up in d past couple of weeks, they badly need a complete moral boosting win. The senior players there know that it is only small kelechi who doesnt know the enormous expectations on his team going to celebrate a goal like his goal is all that matters to the team and not his team winning. The senioi players in city were trying to do what arsenal did between scoring the equaliser and winning goal. Arsenal's second goal was well celebrated unlike the first. It was d winning goal. And thats a team wit ambition and passion who wants to give the fans value for their money not some overpaid primadonnas wit no passion or attachment to their team

NOETHNICITY:
my brother u re not makin an sense here at all! Goals, especially an equaliser against a title contender, shud be celebrated! In ur naivety u keep unduly underrating Tottenham, making me wonder if u know they re a top side in Europe! They re no pushover my friend! Football is not all about names and mathematics! Not too long ago this same Tottenham beat Madrid without fluke!
And what sense have you just made. The fans who are paying heavily to watch you, did they come to watch you celebrate an equaliser or a win. As far as I am concerned it would have been a pointless elaborate celebration. Tottenham might be a good team but it is shame to a team lile City to have to struggle to beat a team like spurs considering the massive investment in players they have made. People like you are just confused. When a team makes massive signing, you hail the team as the team to beat. But when the team starts to falter for no reason, you start looking for cheap excuse to explain why they are faltering. I repeat their is no reason why City should be celebrating an equaliser against spurs. Other senior players sure know that, it is only small and immature kelechi who doesnt. Aguero celebrated by running towards the halfway line shaking hands with his teammates along the way unlike kelechi who ran away all alone, from his teammates in an elaborate celebration. When kelechi scored a hattrick against Villa, did his teammates not celebrate all the goals with him? Whats d fuss now? Nobody is worshipping any foreign player here. Rather it is some of we Africans who should tell ourselves d truth. We should drop our them against us attitude. We should be seen complementing d effof FIFA towards eradicating racism from football. Whenever we have a genuine reason to cry we shud, otherwise we shud just shut up or we will look silly. You remember a certain Ladan Bosso crying wolf about a referee being racist to cover up for his failure as a coach.

Okay as play restarted why didn't man city score... Aguero scored a pointless goal last week against lexeister and was still celebrated..
Get the point. U shud show passion to always win for ur team but of course ur show of passion doesnt mean ur team will win. But atleast you would have been seen to love ur team and want to win for it. U are contradicting ursef wit the aguero case because aguero actually scored and was seen running towards the halfway line shaking hands with his teammates which is what kelechi should have done. And one quick question, when kelechi scored a hattrick against Villa, did his teammates not celebrated all his goals wit him? Whats d pointless talk now.

Why didn't another person grab the ball? They all rushed back to the other half ignoring kelechi without even grabbing the ball for a restart, when someone comes in scores a goal with lots of time still left to play you celebrate with him it was the 74th min, celebrations would even demoralize the opposition.
Kelechi scored and should grab the ball, run back to the halfway line and shake ur teammates hand along d road not the kind of elaborate celebration he was having. For God's sake that is not what d fans came to see. They came to see you win a game and let them see the passion to win in you. Kelechi like some of you did not realise City are a very big team and expectations are very high on them. They are underacheiving by their standards.

the little effort kelechi was meant to do for his team is to take his chances and score which he did, I dnt know if you picture yourself in kelechi shoe. Two wrongs dnt make a right, even if kelechi over celebrated his "not too important" goal as some want us to believe, bt for the sake of team spirit 2 or 3 of his teammates should hv joined him to even tap him to give him sign that they need to go on with the match.
Nobody will tap him to get up. When he finishes being childlish he will get up himself. That was happened actually.

with your comment it is very clear you are the sily one here with "superior argument". What do you know about football, that even Henry notice the lad should not be treated that way. In whatever you look at it their action was wrong cos if iheancho did nt equalize nobody will b talking of a winning goal
Your father is silly. Henry is entitled to his opinion. Gary Neville with all his wonderful opinion as a pundit cannot coach a big team like Valencia. How does being a successful footballer translates into being a good pundit in thecase of Henry. To be a good pundit you need a sound reasoning and everybody can reason. Of course the players should celebrate kelechi's equaliser massively as if they have won because that is what the fans who pay their heavy wages came to see and after the massive player investment in the team, what thè fans deserves are some tasteless, dull, borin and uninspiring performances in the space of two weeks. Rubbish

Enangson:
after all said and done with the Celebration and time wasting. Did Iheanacho wasted only the time allocated to City? cos there was still enough time for the away team that should be demoralized after conceding to still go on and grab the winner.
In football you do all what you can to win for your team. But although, your effort cannot always guarantee victory for your team, you still have to put those efforts in. The little effort kelechi could have put in here is to quickly grab the ball and show passion to win with the team. Of course that doesnt mean your team will win. Commitment and passion for the team is the keyword here even if your team does not win. That said, one thing gives rise to another. If there was no allegation of some conspiracy against kelechi, there would be no point mentioning his immaturity. We should always allow sleeping dog lie.

u forget he is only 19! I bet that at 19 the youngstar probably already knows better than many grown-ups criticising him! For me there is absolutely noting wrong in celebrating when u equalise against a big team that is fighting for d title! That's the reason d world is surprise at the action of d ingrates! Hence their loss! Sometime u jus need to count ur blessings, otherwise u deserve none!
Well there is always a superior arguement in any debate and I believe I have the superior arguement here. I repeat that Iheanacho needs to grow up. He should start thinking in terms of the team alone and not himself. By your own logic, I will tell you that City lost the match because of Iheanacho's time wasting celebration. He did not show any sense of urgency and need to win with his team with the excessive celebrations. I am sure if the refree have permitted him, he would have celebrated the equaliser for the rest of the match by deciding to shake all the over 40,000 fans one after the other. He thinks every thing about the match is the one goal he scored and nothing else matters. He lacks a vision of a bigger picture of things. If your team is trailing and you managed to score going into the closing stages of the match, and considering you are the bigger team on paper with bigger ambitions, the right thing to do is carry the ball and run towards the halfway line, charge your team, fire up your fan's passion. That is what senior players does. Only babes like Iheanacho celebrates at the corner flag all alone. Ode.
SportsRe: Any Reason Man-City Players Ignored Iheanacho's Goal? by Ayo25: 11:10am On Feb 15, 2016
Iheanacho is plain silly, immature and naive to take all that time celebrating an equaliser when you know the time is running out and your team are going through a bad patch and needed a moral boosting victory against a stiff opposition like Spurs. Other City players who refused to celebrate witq him were not just as stupid as him. When Walcott equalised for Arsenal did you see him run to the by way line and took all the time jubilating? No. He ran back with his fellow Arsenal players to the halfway line, shaking hands with some of them along the road, ready for a restart of the match to find the winner. Iheanacho still has a lot to learn mehn. He needs to grow up.
