[Do you know if Dalhousie offers full funding?... I will also apply to MUN n Usask... I need full funding... Guess I need to start doing cold mails to profs for possible funding for masters Fall 2022quote author=Ayodeji786 post=102607268]

I turned it down because I had two other offers with full funding from Memorial University of Newfoundland and University of Saskatchewan
I must confess, I’m not sure if Dalhousie offer full funding (however I know they have a lot of partial funding) but I can testify for MUN and USASK that they offer full funding.

seems BVL is Valid for only 10days. You will most likely get Study permit.
No, it’s valid for 10years! It’s my friend’s profile that I applied for from Canada!

I can’t say precisely if because she’s a second time applicant. Yes, she’s September intake.

shupy:
Do you think the speed is because applicant is a second timer? The processIng time is very remarkable. September intake?.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 18 by Ayodeji786: 11:55am On May 19, 2021
Yes I know. I undergone all that before in 2019. Lol but it’s evident that decision has been made.

During my time, I got medical passes and BVL at same time. And approval follow afterwards.

@justwise is a witness to I and Blessing situation.

All the best to other applicants still waiting.

shupy:
It's quite fast but BVL doesn't mean approval. All the best.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 18 by Ayodeji786: 11:48am On May 19, 2021
Hey, I’m replying from Canada! Go ahead with your application. It doesn’t affect any of your application as they are separate application. Besides, dual intent is allowed by Canada, you can read more on the dual intent on CIC website so you can be calm with my advise. Goodluck

chicaO2:
Hello my people o! Abeg help me with this puzzle. I applied for study visa on May 15th but yesterday evening I got an provincial NOI from the same province I got admission.

So, i'm about to do upfront medicals and biometrics (as required for study permit) on Thurday which also requires updating the study visa application once done.

1. Should I update the SV application with the medicals and Biometrics once done?
2. Will the study visa application affect my chances of federal ITA or conflict it in any way?
3. If YES, Should I withdraw my study visa application now and wait for federal ITA?

I'm following avidly as I have just 1 day to medicals.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 18 by Ayodeji786: 11:38am On May 19, 2021
I submitted all NSE requirements when applying for my friend from Canada in May 1st. Her application seems really fast.

Application submitted: May 1st
Review of Eligibility: May 14th
Medical Passed: May 19th
BVL: May 19th.

She is a second time applicant because she used agent in her first application after which I see the agent scammed her and the parents.

BEWARE OF AGENTS PLEASE!!!!

I agree. A PhD is a job and no one should start it in Canada without FULL FUNDING! It is abnormal to pay for a PhD in North America.
I agree with you. PhD in North America should not be self funded, if not you will develop mental illness. Just an advise though.

Hey everyone, I would advice those still waiting for AIP or that have applied long ago without response yet from IRCC to please order for their GCMS notes so they can know the state of their application. The truth is; majority of the application might have been rejected but they are yet to send in letters to applicants.

I‘ll advice all applicants to do this so as to know what next?

Wishing all applicants God’s favour in their application.

Just my two kobo.

I advise you submit your application for student permit for this fall.

IRCC will continue to process AIP on applications submitted before September 15.

Take advantage.

TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Ayodeji786: 1:15am On Aug 07, 2020
It is too late; considering the current processing time is 25wks. I would advise you submit an application against January semester 2021 resumption. All the best
Time2soar:
Congratulations to all AIP, pray every one else will also be favoured.

I just got my admission letter from University of New Brunswick and it has the option of both September and January start date. I hope September start date is not too close for study permit application. Thanks to all for all the contributions
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Ayodeji786: 1:12am On Aug 07, 2020
Please use adobe reader to fill the form. it is only compatible with adobe reader. I hope this helps
Mogullet:
Wow! Thanks alot for your response, it just gave me a huge relief.

Please I still want to ask how you were able to successfully fill the imm1294e form(application for study permit) as the boxes on it that gives options seem frozen. Eg, box for gender, nationality etc just freeze when ai click on them.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Ayodeji786: 12:46am On Aug 07, 2020
Nice buddy. Oya hit me.
Taiwolus:
I don't enjoy being controversial, but MUN comes to the lips of people when they talk about cheap programs. And it rightfully should.

It's just funny because 80% of Nigerian students in graduate Engineering programs are paying $29,800 in Tuition. Reason is simple, it is easier to gain admission into these really expensive Programs. Yes, I said it....8 out of every 10 graduate engineering student that is Nigerian and schooling at MUN pays good dollars; and most of us applied because we thought it was cheap.

I am a graduate engineerings student at MUN.

Anyone here coming to memorial university grenfell campus in corner brook?
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Ayodeji786: 11:26pm On Aug 06, 2020
Greetings from Memorial University of Newfoundland.

Please let be careful with whatever we say and also please make sure you’re very sure of something before saying it. For more clarification, most graduate programs are cheap. Only program with special fees are expensive. Thank you.

However, you’re right about research based cause it’s highly competitive. Enjoy sir!

Taiwolus:
Most programs at MUN will usually ask for Tuition > $12K. For perspective, more than half of Nigerian graduate students at MUN are paying $30K in tuition. The only programs with Tuition about $6,000 are research based programs, and I think the MBA program. Theses programs are usually very competitive, because of the obvious.

Hi
I noticed in my checklist that in the box, out of other documents I submitted, there is proof of english proficiency. But when I was filing my application I filled that my first language is English and I skipped the proof of english part. So I dont know why the space is there. I thaught MUN doesnt need this for master's. Please should I be worried? Cause the gap is just empty there.
Did you not submit a notarized letter from your school saying you were taught in English or did your official transcript not have information like you were taught in English? if yes, please contact memorial university to lodge your complain.
