Crime › Re: Issue resolved by ayoncox: 7:08pm On Dec 12, 2021 |
Beetiu: Hello guys, this matter is very sensitive to me, that’s why I created this new account, it’s also going to be a long read, please bear with me.
2019, February precisely, I graduated from school, I sourced funds from every angle and got a second hand used Camry to do Uber, due to the fact that the car was Nigeria used, it kept having issues every now and then.
To crown it all, I left the car at a mechanic workshop close to the road and another car went and hit the car, causing a 200k damage on the car, they later compensated me with 50k to fix the car and I had 150k expenses to myself.
I got fade up and decided to come to Lagos to hustle with the car, I came to Lagos March 2020, first week, the second week, corona struck and Lagos declared sit at home.
I was devastated, had only 10k with me, the person I was living tried and we managed to overcome the period of sit at home.
After the sit at home, the vehicle developed a whole new Faults that the mechanics couldn’t even figure out what the issue was and I had no money to do anything extra, Ac stopped working, battery died etc.
I sold the car for 600k, but at that point, my debt rate was 800k, if I used the 600k to settle debts, I would still be owing 200k and back to square one.
I took a drastic decision and got a higher purchase Camry with 200k upfront payment, used 200k to get an apartment as the place I was staying was not conducive at all, they are church people and they pray all night at home that I feel sleepy driving during the day, one which happened on third mainland bridge.
I graduated at 27, from a family of 4, 2 boys and 2 girls, I’m the first son, our last born, a boy was somewhere in my state capital, refused to go to school from day one.
Some people started calling me to tell me how my brother makes money and spend it all on drinking and smoking, I ignored it all cause he has never listened to anything I told him in the past.
After a while, he called me one day that he wants to come to Lagos now that I have an apartment, I told him the situation of things, how my house is empty cause I haven’t bought anything cause I newly rented the place and the debts I’m serving both from the new higher purchase car and the old one.
He told me not to worry that he can take care of himself, that he just needs a place to lay his head and do Bitcoin trading.
I allowed him to come over, 1 week later he traded btc for one person and made 70k, he said we should go and buy kitchen utensils, we went and bought somethings 2 days later another 100k and we finally bought generator, gas cylinder, plates and everything.
So one day I noticed that whenever he trades btc with Patricia, he usually sends the money to the account linked to the patricia account and that’s a girls account and he will be calling the girl, his girlfriend to send the money to the owners of the Bitcoin and then send his own share.
These trades go in the volume of 3m, 4m and so on, I asked and he said he lost the phone number connected to his bVN and his bVN too, can’t remember his account number that’s why he is using the girls account and he also used the girls I.d to verify the Patricia account.
I took upon my self to verify the Patricia with my own drivers license and gave him one of my bank accounts to be using.
Everything was moving smoothly, I go to do my Uber while he is at home, 3 months later he traveled to the south south that he was going to collect update, tired of trading only Bitcoin for people.
March this year he told me he was coming back to Lagos, I told him the house rent will expire by 2 months time, may, and he said it’s not a problem that he is expecting some money, 3 weeks later he told me the money had arrived, so apparently he had joined scam.
A month to the house rent expiration he called and told me that if I had saved any money for the house rent that I should forget about it , he sent me 200k and asked me to pay it to the landlord.
I paid the money, he called a week later that some money is coming and he wants to buy things in the house, I said okay, he went and bought 55” smart TV, fridge, AC, big generator 2 seaters chair , TV stand, ps4, apple wristwatch, etc.
I was not in Lagos then, everything happened in my absence, but money keeps coming into the account and I see every transaction. 3 weeks later I went back to Lagos.
He told me how he got a btc scam update and asked me to leave Uber that I’m doing and join the work if I want to make money without suffering this much, I told him I don’t know how to do it and I had gone far hustling legally to start illegally now.
This boy changed from what I used to know, disrespects me, shouts at me at any given opportunity, but there is one thing I despised a lot, he smokes and I gave an order, don’t smoke inside the apartment, smoke outside and everywhere else but not inside the apartment.
So one day I asked him to help me with some money so I can travel to Dubai to hustle, he asked me to wait that he was expecting some funds, I obliged and after a while, he asked me to take one million from the 2.7 million that entered his account, that I should use it and sort my travel issue.
Let me give you all a briefing of his lifestyle, this boy is 23 but tall and big, he would pack his bag every weekend that he is going to lekki, he would lodge for 3 days of the weekend and each weekend costs around 300k. This happens at least twice a month aside other money he keeps spending recklessly.
I tried to advice him but he plainly told me that yahoo boys don’t save money.
Last 3 months he told me he was going to Abuja to get an update, he had 700k in his account before leaving, before he returned, not even one naira came back with him, no more clients, no money, very broke.
He now asked me about the money he gave me for travel, I told him I have used it, cause honestly I have used it. Did my school clearance and other papers to travel which I’m very pessimistic before June or end of next year I will travel.
He started behaving very badly, smokes in the house, plays loud music at night, insults me at any given opportunity, that I have money and I don’t want to bring it. That he doesn’t even have money to sub his phone.
I learn software development every night from 10pm to 5 am, whenever I want to start, he will purposely loud the music so I will be distracted.
So yesterday I flared up and asked him to off the music around 10:50pm, he refused and I told him if he plays it again I would smash the JBL music player, he went and carried the laptop I was using and said if I smash it he would smash my laptop.
I dropped the jBL and collected his iPhone 12 and he then left the laptop. Since yesterday day night, all the things he bought in the house, I have thrown everything out side the apartment, parents have been calling from home and relatives.
He said he wants his money back before he will leave the apartment, actually I want him to leave, I can’t begin to mention how much this boy has tortured me emotionally, all he try’s to tell me is that I went to school for nothing, that he thought I was wise and so many hurting words I can’t write here.
I decided to call the police to get him arrested today but my sister and everyone begged me not to, this boy is my only brother, I know if the police come he would have to tell them what he does for a living, he has sworn he is going to frustrate me.
As I write this epistle, he is in front of the apartment smoking weed and playing loud music just to get at me.
Threatening me with brim and iron stone, that he will deal with me.
One mind is telling me to call the police tomorrow, get him arrested, insist they charge both of us to court, even if I get a sentence for probably abetting or sharing crime proceeds, I don’t mind but just to teach him a lesson he won’t forget in a hurry.
Note, this boy is my only brother, my parents are old and in the village, my mum has been crying and refused to eat since yesterday.
This is my story beautiful people, please advice me on this, I don’t have friends I can stay with I would have opted to leave the house for now and I don’t have money to rent an apartment now, I’m legally the owner of this apartment as my name is on the tenancy agreement .
Please advice me accordingly. Don't call the police on your brother. He may be behaving bad now your prayers for him is most important at the moment. Chat me up on 08089456258, I will tell you what to do |

Shalom! Brother, a kid that I know repeated a year during medical school because of the antecedents of this same man. The young guy is a medical doctor now. Same CBT issues. My survey shows that most of those who took the first phase of the last UTME failed woefully. The main challenge is that JAMB will never look inward to check whether it was their fault or not. In the 1970s there was a conclusion that because of the emergence of games in the US and the rate at which teenagers are getting into it they will emerge as one of the generations that are non productive. It was that generation that gave us Microsoft, Apple, Google, Amazon and many others. From my findings, a lot of staff working with the man are not happy with the way he is carrying out his jobs. As you know when two elephants fight, it is the grass that suffers |

Beancounter94: Seriously, guys, what is wrong with the way he runs JAMB?
The truth is, university entrance exams are supposed to be HARD. If you don't prepare with that in mind, you won't do well at all.
If you fail an exam, don't blame the examiner. Take it as a chance to learn something new about studying, and about reading, and a second chance to get a crack at the exam...and you shalt do well.
Good morning to both of you Is university admission hard in the US, UK, RUSSIA, AUSTRALIA, SWEDEN, Norway. We are not taking exams here, instead we are taking temptations and fustrations. Just ask yourself why do people find it difficult thriving in our academic ecosystem here only to go to those countries and emerge best and not only that they become creative and productive. The main challenge here is that we have put many tyrants who are narcissists personified into one position or the other and the results are what we are getting. |

Nigeria will be great again without people like you. I am way above that, finished schooling over a decade ago. Naturally I won't blame many of you who will prefer to take side with your Muslim brothers. I took a survey and discovered that the high handness of the registrar contributed to the massive failure. He is not different from the PMB we are complaining about. You want to cut corners I have gone beyond the level of writing exams for higher institution, some of my mates are 4 to 5 years into their PHDs waiting to be professors. I was so studious during my time I had no time trying to cheat. The point all of you are not getting is that it is hard not to see such antecedents of students failing exams when a fanatic is put as head of a regulatory body like JAMB |
Education › Re: Oloyede And The JAMB Revolution by ayoncox: 5:04am On Aug 23, 2021 |
MufasaLion: Well, you'd see it that way since you ain't used to writing your exams yourself or perhaps you cheated through school. I am well over 30 years I took JAMB and passed once, that was when I was barely 16. No one writes JAMB twice in my family. There were more class mates more intelligent and studious than I do and found it hard to gain admission until they went to private universities does it mean that are lazy or what. I know of kids whose parents have invested so much of resources and time into making them pass JAMB. One of the kids who is often the best student in her school which is a high ranking one in her state had 118. She literally spends nothing less than 2 to 3 hours preparing for JAMB. Another kid studied and prepared so hard with the anticipation of scoring 270-290 only to get 235. See let us call a spade a spade. It is wrong putting a fanatic in such strategic positions they often feel they are there to make life difficult for others all because they want to generate money |

TWLifestyle: lol - they should go and read . It's not oloyede frustrating anyone from gaining admission its lack of preparation . Becos young people have relied on others writing their exams , cheating through special centres etc it goes to show the calibre of our young ones who demand transparency in governance but want to cheat their way through life . I Know kids that prepared for months, not that they are not studious. The same Oleyede came out last year and complained that some people are sabotaging his efforts. In my opinion he is in no way different from PMB, I remember a young chap alongside his colleagues who had to repeat a year while studying medicine at Unilorin because of same antecedents by him. They will fustrates other people's kids here and send their own kids to UK and US where all that will promote academic stability is provided. May God deliver us from all this fanatics holding strategic positions. JAMB is not a money making Organization it is meant to provide young minds access and regulations for entering into higher institution. Some of those kids you said are not prepared enough will later on travel out to school and emerge as best students. I wonder how you guys think |

tesimoor: By Kunle Akogun
There is no doubt that since his appointment as the Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) five years ago, Prof. Is’haq Oloyede has remained one of the most visible poster boys of President Muhammadu Buhari’s war against corruption. The reason is simple: The Professor of Islamic Jurisprudence and former Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ilorin has so sanitised the operations of the tertiary institutions’ admission body in five years that it seems that the 44-years old Board had never been in any tangible operational existence before 2016!
For this singular reason, his reappointment for another term of five years, announced on Friday, 20th August, did not really come as a surprise to many watchers of the great revolution going on in JAMB since August 1, 2016. Indeed, when his first tenure ended on July 31st, 2021, not a few discerning Nigerians openly canvassed his reappointment into the same office, if only to allow him consolidate on the unprecedented socio-economic revolution he initiated and sustained not only in JAMB but in any Nigerian public institution. For, which sane captain changes a winning team?
In one of such altruistic advocacies, a former Executive Secretary of the National Universities Commission (NUC), Prof. Peter Okebukola, said that Prof. Oloyede’s first term in office has “been marked by unprecedented success”, having elevated the quality of university education in Nigeria by ensuring improved quality of candidates for admission into the university system. Prof. Okebukola added that with 82 innovations in JAMB, Prof. Oloyede should be allowed to consolidate the gains of the last five years and see to the completion of his ongoing programmes and projects.
It is a thing of personal joy for those of us who know this erudite scholar intimately that Prof. Oloyede did not disappoint his teeming admirers since his appointment. Rather, he shamed the vociferous opposition to his well-merited appointment. Not only did he institute an enhanced welfare scheme for JAMB staff that greatly boosted their morale, Prof. Oloyede’s messianic tenure substantially restored the sanctity of the Board’s main mandate: the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME). And, as evident in all the five admission exercises he superintended, JAMB’s technology considerably improved, with high level of transparency and advanced networking. The scrapping of the traditional scratch card system for checking results is also another positive rebellion by this audacious JAMB helmsman. And the drastic reduction in the application fees is a serious relief to sundry admission seekers and their parents and guardians.
But by far the most remarkable feat by any non-revenue yielding MDA in the country is the consistent remittance by Prof. Oloyede’s JAMB of whopping sums of money in billions of naira to the Federal Government coffers in each of the last five years. This is indeed praise-worthy, especially in a country where even some MDAs that were specifically and originally established to collect revenue for the government often turn round to ask the same government for extra-budgetary bail-outs to supplement their overheads!
By this feat, Prof. Oloyede merely lived up to his well-known credentials of administrative acumen, financial discipline and legendary transparency in public service. An erudite Professor of Islamic Jurisprudence and the first ever Unilorin graduate to make a first class degree in the institution, Oloyede became a household name during his tenure as the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, having largely succeeded in turning the second generation University into a world class institution. This, he achieved by dint of hard work, resilience, consistency, tenacity of purpose and unparalleled team spirit.
Indeed, Prof. Oloyede’s trajectory has been a study in service excellence, administrative acumen, religious commitment to the achievement of set goals, and unapologetic insistence on fairness for all. This much has been duly acknowledged by dispassionate watchers of his profile since he emerged the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ilorin in 2007, especially with his sterling track records of achievements.
It’s no surprise, therefore, that many well-meaning Nigerians continue to harp on the need for President Muhammadu Buhari to renew the appointment of this modern Midas to consolidate the good job he has been doing in JAMB in the past five years. After all, he is statutorily entitled to two terms of five years each, subject to the wish of the President. At a point, however, there were reports that Prof. Oloyede appeared not to be too keen on doing a second term, as he was said to have insisted that he had made his mark and would like to yield the ground for other persons to be given the opportunity to serve the nation at the JAMB level. The veracity of this report could be gleaned from the swiftness with which he handed over the Registrar’s baton, without any prompting whatsoever from any quarters, to the available most senior Director at the nick of the expiration of his FIRST term! The common sit-tight scheming among Nigerian public officials does not seem to hold any attraction for him!
His reappointment is, therefore, a very commendable masterstroke by the President. For, Nigeria still needs the services of this highly cerebral and effective public officer for another five years at JAMB to personally nurse the several ongoing innovations, which he initiated in the organisation to irrevocable and unabortable fruition. For instance, such initiatives as the Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) for automation of admission process; the institution of Equal Opportunity Group for the conduct of the Universal Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) for Blind Candidates; the expansion of the capacities of CBT centres for standardization purposes; the introduction of E-Ticketing (for Complaints; the introduction of the Integrated Brochure and Syllabus System (IBASS) for prompt delivery of admissions requirements; the use of Biometric Authentication to confirm validity of registration, the introduction of E-slip printing; the introduction of management dashboard to monitor registration and admission exercise real time; the use of CCTV cameras in all CBT centres to monitor the examination and registration process real time; and exemplary funds management; as well as prudent and judicious use of JAMB’s financial resources, all need to be consolidated upon in order to avoid the incidence of the well-known Nigerian syndrome of policy summersault and programme discontinuity that often characterize the advent of any new administration in this clime.
*Kunle Akogun is the Director of Corporate Affairs, University of Ilorin, Nigeria* It is unfortunate that we call tyranny good governance. The same man creating stiffening system that fustrates young kids from gaining admission through his fanaticism is called messiah. I laugh in Swahili |

Lady I can see you are addicted to that guy. This is my advice give the relationship a break for 6 month you don't have to tell him. Just break the communication, change your phone number from now till December. You will discover that there are better men outside not just one but many. The guy have discovered that you are very attaching and not independent in your mind and that you have low self esteem, so he is selling the idea to you.
The most important thing you should be doing now is building general relationship with men generally, go on datings this does not mean you will boy friend all of them. Personally I don't believe in that.
Spend time developing your confident and don't try doing something stupid.
I pray you stop being addicted to that guy, remember it is what we love most that often kill us |

Now go and read all the documents your father has, try and meet all his friends and go on discussion, do not be direct. Try going on 3 to 7 days fasting and prayers.
