We cry and are pained from a particular problem and we seek through Human efforts to get things done. But we forget to turn to God, for only He can help us.


When I was in boarding school in Jss 2 it was time to go for the early morning classes. I had no sandals to wear and I was under a lot of pressure to leave the hostel by our seniors. I just asked God there and then "Father please give me sandals to wear to classes" Then I approached who we knew as one of the most stingy boys amongst us and just decided to ask him, the guy didn't even hesitate, he brought out a pair of brand new sandals and gave me without me asking twice.. like he was waiting for me to ask him.


I was shocked. He didn't even bother asking me back for it after classes.


I only knew it had to be God because that guy never shared his things with people.

This is just a little example but I was grateful to God and that taught me one thing to always ask God for something, especially something that put me under pressure and not rely on my strength. And it's always been working for me since that day I learned it at boarding school.

*I will be sharing from my learnings from my walk with God and my life experiences.*

I am not a profound preacher but I do hope someone amongst us all is blessed.

My anchor scriptures are

One of the greatest shocks I got as I began to mature spiritually is that God fights our battles *with* us!

Salvation requires synergy - our victory by virtue of the finished work on the cross is non-negotiable but it does not automatically manifest...we have to enforce it!

Picture the scenario of a young son who returns from school crying to his father that bullies beat him up and took some of his valuable belongings. His father tells him, follow me and leads him back to his school to confront the bullies. The boy tearfully follows his father and when he gets to the bullies, his father says "collect your belongings" and stands behind him, the bullies are startled and confused but recognize the authority of a parent and the boy makes an attempt to do this not because he is not afraid anymore of the bullies but because he has confidence in his father's strength and might to defend him if the bullies attempt to stop him. The father will never need to fight those bullies. It is the boy who does the confrontation. Now food for thought, didn't the bullies know that the boy had a father who could take them up on their unwholesome behaviour?

Notice all the action verbs, the boy cried to his father (this is prayer), why did he cry to his father? Because he knows his father (this is communion with the father and studying the word) and he was still the one who went back to confront the bullies and retrieve his possessions (this is engaging in spiritual warfare)

This is what happens when we are confronted with battles...it is us who will make the move with confidence in God's backing.

Any other instance is spiritual laziness where we expect God to fight the battle and bring the spoils of war to us.

At every point in our journey with God, He works with our will to resist evil and embrace what is good. God actually expects us to do what we can.

This is why time spent in communion with God, reading the bible, fervent prayer (at the midnight hour and during the day), praying always, building ourselves up spiritually are very important. These are the works that keep us battle ready and on the same frequency for the move of God.

These spiritual exercises are also what give us a unique identifier in the place of the spirit. They create the powerful aura of "God in us" which is fearful, intimidating and paralyzing to the enemy.

As powerful as God is and as eager as He is to move on our behalf, He requires engagement from us for the full expression of His power.

I believe that there exists cases where God intervenes even when He is not called upon but for the most part there will need to be that consistent and persistent engagement and drive from us.

This is an important truth that every christian must come to terms with as they grow in the faith.

Initially, I used to feel that since I have accepted Christ as my Lord and Saviour and I live a righteous life through His help, I was immune from spiritual attacks.

I used to feel so let down and deserted by God when it seemed like these dark forces were prevailing against me.

But as I matured in my walk with God, I realized I have an important part to play which is the deal breaker.

I am sharing this because I encounter alot of good christians passing through demonically orchestrated storms who don't understand this principle and have suffered unduly. Some are even questioning the might of God. Their faith is being shaken to its core. They keep asking can't God see my tears? doesn't He feel my pain? Why is He letting me pass through these?

I learnt this and I am better for this valuable lesson and I just wanted to share it.

God is with and for you but you must pray, you must fast, you must read your bible, you must honor God, you must hunger and thirst for more of the knowledge of God, you must take up your spiritual weapons, you must understand spiritual principles,you must diligently seek God and as you do so, you will experience Him.

*May God give us the grace to be faithful in paying our tithes. It’s also interesting to note that some people even give God more than the required 10% of there incomes. Omohhhh.. there are levels to these things*

Apostle Arome once said something... that to show how committed you are or serious as a Christian, your personal record of service to God must have been exceptional. That is.. for 10years, a day won’t occur that you didn’t pay your tithe or you didn’t pray or fast, give offering and so on
That is where your seriousness as a Christian kicks off from
*You must have a 100% track record of faithfulness*

Also, another tithing controversy is that some people believe that paying of tithe is old, it’s in the Old Testament

It’s the law. But we are under grace, the blood of Jesus has paid for everything. Lol

Errrmm.. do we all remember that event that happened in the New Testament when the people brought a legal tender to Jesus as regards the payment of tax and Jesus asked.. which person’s face is there and they replied Ceaser.

Then Jesus said “Give to ceaser what belong to ceaser and give to God what belongs to God. Urmm.. in that scenario and context, I wnna ask us.. if tax belongs to ceaser what do we think belong to God�

There are also other scriptures in the New Testament about tithing..

Proverbs 3:9 says to honor the lord with your substance and with the first fruits of thine increase..

Luke 18:12
“I fast twice a week and give tithes of all that I get
Even the Pharisees paid tithes.. Matthew 23:23
Teachers of the law, disciples of Jesus and so on. .

The purpose of the tithe shows how much reverence, love and obedience you have for God and the thing is that it is for our own good. Like I said before, God doesn’t need our money o�

He is the owner of the universe talk more of our lives, everything belongs to him. He is the source of all things. “What do thou have that thou didn’t receive”

Paying of tithes is for our own benefits as well because God says so. It also cause financial release and financial blessings upon our lives. It’s a kingdom command.

It is also important to note that everything is interconnected. Both the paying of tithes, giving of offerings, serving God, prayer and fasting and so on..

It is the combination of all these things that make one to live a balanced victorious Christian life��

Each and every one of these commands and instructions are to be done diligently if one is expected to see results

You serve God for instance you pray so much but you don’t tithe or give offerings�

Or you pay tithe but you don’t serve, you don’t pray, out of all God has blessed you with, your offering every Sunday is 50naire. Lol

*What is tithing*
— 10% of your income or earnings

*Who pays Tithe?*
— As long as you’re a child of God, and belong to God’s kingdom, payment of tithe is not just an obligation, it is a command. We can see that in *Malachi 3:10 “Bring the full amount of your tithes to the temple so that there’ll be plenty of food there”* (good news bible)

This above scripture, though quite simple and straightforward has brought about many controversies on the subject.

Many ‘so called Christians” believe that their men of God are eating their tithes and using it to buy designer wears, aircrafts and so on. So they have stopped paying their tithes to churches. They now pay their tithes to orphanage homes, they turn their tithes to hospital bills, use it for relief funds, distress calls and so on. . .
*”Bring the full amount of your tithes to the temple* is a clear cut, straightforward instruction. This means what?
*The tithe is to be paid in the *church where you are planted* or the church where you worship

So.. this means, I work in a company, I do a business, at the end of the day or at the end of the month, after I’m paid for my services, I remove my 10% of tithe *first* before I think of what else I wnna do with the money

Emphasis on “First”
Why is that so?

“*You don’t! Spend the money that enters your hand without giving God his portion”*

It’s like a reverence to God, it shows your loyalty.

*”if you say. . .All I am, all I have belongs to God. What about your money� especially the ones that enter your hand.

So.. we put God first, not just when we wake up in the morning or in our day to day activities or engagements, but also in our finances. Removing your 10% first really shows that you reverence God

There’s this saying by pastor Paul Enenche *“When you don’t hold back from God, God doesn’t hold back from you. When you give God what is due Him, He gives you what is due you. Your action towards God determines His Response to you”*

For example
Exodus 23:25 says
“*And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee”*

What does this mean? Isn’t it straight foward. Serving God guarantees God protection, takes away sickness and so on..

So.. as long as you’re serving God, the blessings of God is guaranteed, also, if the whole witches in your village gather to cause you sickness, God will automatically take it away. Why? Your service to God has already guaranteed your provision and your safety

*In the say vein.. let’s look at Malachi 3:10b-12*

It says; “Put me to the test and you will see that I will open the windows of heaven and pour out on you in abundance all kinds of good things, I will not let insects destroy your crops, and it goes on and on...
What does this mean, when you pay your tithe, God opens the window of abundance to you and so on

*So, every instruction that comes from God always comes with a backing. If you do this, I will do this, if you do this, I will do this.* and God cannot lie!!!!!!!

In fact God does use words carelessly, anything he says must always come to pass. That’s why God never made a joke in scriptures. Coz if God says for instance, @⁨Nella⁩ look at your big head��. The way Nella head will become big ehhhhhh� it will become big in the way it is in God’s mind. Lol

So, if God is saying, if you do this, I will do this, be rest assured that he will always come through to what he says�

Please I had this dreams

The first.
I was somewhere like a class with my sister they were loads of people there , so I was walking singing a Christian song , they was a man they seems he has a metal problem and was brought by someone. I walked passed him singing he started singing the same song , I changed song he did the same . So I thought let me sing in tongues if he can . So I started singing in tongues but he stopped for a while and started saying something that sound like tongues but it wasn’t the same with mine. So I told my sister let’s run outside as we did he followed us . He was holding a whiteboard maker and he said he wants one thing from me then he used the whiteboard maker with him to write Marriage on the cloth he was wearing, my sister tried running past him but he grabbed her and twist her head then she fell to the ground like someone that has died then I ran to her . That’s how the dream ended .

Second dream

I had this dream where I chased a goat out of our compound which I succeeded , and later was trying to chase something like an insect out of our compound but I don’t know if I succeeded because it was very small and I could hardly see it . So as I was returning back into our house I saw a goat (which I had chased out of the house before ) , two lions and a dog (seems two) they were gather together and having something that looks like a serious meeting . They were talking with their animal sound but it seems they understood themselves. So I ran into the house but it didn’t seem like they noticed me . I told my mum about it the lions (I think she brought them but I can’t remember that part of the dream).

Note: I use to see all three animals differently but not together like that.

Part two

Romans 6:26 says Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered

it means sometimes we don't know what to pray about as we are supposed to but when we turn it to the Holy Spirit, He takes charge, search out the matter and help pray about what needs to be prayed about.

For example a boy need a car and begins to pray in his understanding God give me a car, a brand new car. When praying in tongues, the Holy Spirit could say something like(pls am just giving a narrative:- Oh Lord, remember the curse over the life of this boy spoken against Him by his elder brother on the road when he splashed water on him while testing their fathers car, remember he cursed him that he will never drive a car for doing that and a demon who was there took the prayer and intend to use it against your son. I breaks this curse now. I speak that the money to buy this car will come from a new contract that will come his way etc) Now in this scenario, how would the boy have known that someone had spoken a curse against him because of what he did. Only God knows all things.

so that verse in Romans 6:26 means we don't know what we should pray for as we are supposed to but when we hand it over to the Holy Spirit through praying in the spirit, the HOLY SPIRIT HIMSELF will help us communicate with God the Father regarding that request or requests.

and the verse 27 says Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

You can see that the Holy Spirit will search the deep things regarding the matter and He helps us pray ACCORDING TO GODS WILL. Most times we really don't know the will of God but the one who was there when He created us (The Holy Spirit) knows the will of God. and the scripture also says
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.
Isaiah 55:8‭-‬9
So you will agree with me that God's ways are far bigger and better than ours and only the Spirit of God can know the exact

I remember one day, not too long after I received the baptism. I had a terrible nightmare. it was so bad and complex that when I woke up, I didn't know where to start from. I stood up and kept quite wondering if I should destroy, cast and bind, return back to the sender or just cry for help. while all this was running through my mind, I just heard "ALLOW ME". The moment I heard that, I just began to pray in tongues, I can say I was groaning coz the tongues was intense and after a while, I was relieved, happy and knew it has been dealt with and there's no cause for alarm. Now how will I have known what to pray about? if I had binded and casted and that's not what I should do, I would av missed it but glory be to God for this revelation and to the Holy Spirit for helping me to INTERCEDE. Please don't get me wrong, there are times you will also know what to pray as inspired by the Holy Spirit.

WHY SHOULD WE SPEAK IN TONGUES
1. WE PRAY DIRECTLY TO GOD. if you read 1cor 14:2 posted above again, it says we speak to God And not to men. I don't know about you,but for me I always find every opportunity to pray in tongues because I know I can communicate with my Father directly in the language best known to Him without having to use my own reason of understanding to articulate my Thanksgiving or request. This is me trusting the Holy Spirit to help communicate my intentions better to the Father than my language will do

2. WE PRAY TO EDIFY OURSELVES. The bible says
He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself, but he who prophesies edifies the church.
I Corinthians 14:4 NKJV

Speaking in tongues is not only meant to communicate with God but also to build us up spiritually and intellectually.

YOU CANNOT BE A TONGUES SPEAKING BELIEVER AND BE DULL. it's not just possible. When they arrested peter and John in Jerusalem and they had to defend their faith, even scribes, rulers and others saw how they communicate and defend , they knew something was different about them

Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled. And they realized that they had been with Jesus.
Acts 4:13 NKJV

People wonder where they got their wisdom from. Praying in tongues constantly with knowledge of the scripture for them had with time expanded their reasoning, Increased their way of thinking, increased their sensitivity in the spirit, subdued their flesh and enabled them to walk like god on earth.

BENEFITS OF PRAYING IN TONGUES
1. IT GIVES BOLDNESS TO WITNESS JESUS AND STAND FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS. Peter who was afraid when when they took Jesus and had to lie about knowing Jesus is the same Peter that preached and won his first 3000 souls at once. The moment he was baptized in the Holy Ghost And spoke he tongues , with Such boldness the scripture says in Acts 2.14
But Peter, standing up with the eleven, raised his voice and said to them, “Men of Judea and all who dwell in Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and heed my words.

And after long sermon within boldness the scripture says in Acts 2:41
Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them.

You can imagine, such boldness. What about Paul after he had received the Holy Ghost and prayed in tongues, the scripture says

But Saul increased all the more in strength, and confounded the Jews who dwelt in Damascus, proving that this Jesus is the Christ.
Acts 9:22 NKJV

Imagine Saul who later became Paul after praying in tougues continually received boldness in witnessing Jesus not minding what people think or say.

Now someone will say, how did you know he prayed in tongues, the scripture didnt mention this. It's fine, let's see what he said himself

I thank my God I speak with tongues more than you all;
I Corinthians 14:18 NKJV

Remember he was baptized in the Holy Ghost at Damascus when Ananias went to him, laying his hands on him as instructed by Jesus

Don't forget that one major evidence that one is baptized in the Holy Ghost is that you will have the gift and ability to pray in the spirit. So obviously, Paul continued in praying in the spirit after baptism. He wasnt quiet when prompted , he wasn't also praying in the spirit occasionally but at all times as the Spirit enables him so if you are looking for someone to push you in praying in the spirit, push yourself, allow the Holy Spirit to help you.

2. IT INCREASES FAITH. Have you ever wonder how mighty miracles are being done by God's generals? it requires a strong faith. Faith is in levels. There is a faith to believe when things are going fine that it will be that way and there is a faith to keep believing that it will work out even if it's not going that way. There is a faith to heal the sick and there is another faith to wake up the dead.

I can say categorically that praying in tongues constantly increases one faith. there are many times av had reason to be tensed, loose it, give up but the moment I begin to pray in spirit, it's like a warm water mixed with fresh oil poured on my heart to ease my hot heart temper then I begin to gain faith that God is in control. And with time I have realised that my faith has increased tremendously that I find it had to worry "for long". The moment the worry showface ehn, faith will just arise from within then I just rest. The scripture says

But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,
Jude 1:20 NKJV

Praying in tongues helps you build your faith and do you know why? Because when you begin to pray in an unknown language you do not understand but trusting that you are not speaking rubbish or jargons but the Holy Spirit helping you to pray aright, then You will have faith to Believe other things even when it's not looking that way. There will be absolute trust that God is in charge and will not let you fail or fall. And this brings me to the 3rd point

3. IT RELEASES DEEP REVELATION. Paul said
But I make known to you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached by me is not according to man. For I neither received it from man, nor was I taught it, but it came through the revelation of Jesus Christ.
Galatians 1:11‭-‬12 NKJV

I can attest to this fact because I have received Revelations about things while praying in tongues. I am a music and drama minister, I have received songs while praying in tongues And I have also written gospel stories while praying in tongues. I have received instructions and directions while praying in tongues.

Paul who came into light after all the Apostles wrote more Epistles than they not only because he was choosed but because he always pray in tongues. When you pray, your spirit is connected to the throne of grace, to God and through that Revelations are released. The scripture says

For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.
I Corinthians 2:11‭-‬12 NKJV

So we see that the Spirit of God knows the mind of God, how?

But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.
I Corinthians 2:10 NKJV

The Holy Spirit searches out the deep things of God and reveal them to us (deep mysteries that's our mind can't comprehend). Things we can't know on a normal day, the spirit makes it known to us. So how will you be able to pray in tongues always and not be filled with Revelations from God.

Lastly
4. IT HELPS YOU PRAY THROUGH. There are limit to what we know and can pray for or about but When we pray in the spirit as prompted by the Holy Spirit, He will take care of that situation.

There are times that you don't want to pray in the spirit but the Holy Spirit will prompt you to pray. You will know within you that you should pray but won't know what to pray about. This is the time to engage the Holy Spirit.

There are times I have been prompted in my spirit whether in the car, house, on the road, at work to pray. At first when it all began I didn't understand it but now am used to it. I just begin to pray in the spirit when I discern that I need to. Some people don't know how to quietly pray in the spirit but to shout. Shouting is fine but In cases whereby people are around and you still have to pray, then you cant shout. One can pray in the spirit when with people, in the market, at work or anywhere when prompted without having to disturb people or draw attention. How? Just murmur it under your lips. Your tongues might be moving while praying quietly but you don't have to send anybody nor bother about anything or your environment. When you begin to practice this, with time you will learn how to pray anywhere without people noticing. The movement of your lips won't be obvious but will be moving while praying when you have mastered the skills of praying silently.

The Holy Spirit might come at anytime to prompt you to pray, it could be that someone is in danger and He wants to INTERCEDE through you, There might be a blessing coming your way and knowing that the devil want to use accusations to hinder it will quickly steer you up to counter it, it might just be to help you convince someone to give you that contract, it might be to hinder you from a terrible accident prepared for you on your way by the devil, it might be about anything whatsoever. So whenever you sense the Holy Spirit steering you up to pray, don't stop Him but allow Him. Even if it's to INTERCEDE for someone, count that as a blessing

The scripture says pray without ceasing,
I Thessalonians 5:17 NKJV

How can you effectively do this when you are somewhere you can't pray? by praying in the spirit. The bible says

praying ALWAYS with all prayer and supplication IN THE SPIRIT, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints—
Ephesians 6:18 NKJV

Can you see "in the spirit". it means in tongues, in an unknown language And as you do this, watch how your spiritual growth escalates and your life, business and ministry improves tremendously. You will literally be a walking god. People will see you as normal but in the spirit realm you will be a shining armor, a powerful priest and a royal King reigning and ruling on earth pleasing God in every ways.

I admonish us to practice praying in tongues at all times. Even when you have a prayer point, pray in tongues in between

What is the conclusion then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will also pray with the understanding. I will sing with the spirit, and I will also sing with the understanding.
I Corinthians 14:15 NKJV

and when you are steered up anywhere and anytime to pray, don't resist the prompting of the Holy Spirit but In obedience, allow the Spirit of God to INTERCEDE through you.

For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my understanding is unfruitful. 1 Corinthians 14:14

We might not understand it but if we give way to the Holy Spirit, He will help us pray ACCORDING to the will of God.

As you begin to constantly engage in praying in the Holy Spirit today, the power and blessing attached to it be released speedily in your life in Jesus name, Amen �

TOPIC: The Power of Praying in tongues

(Please understand that's there is a difference between The Baptism of the Holy Spirit and The Power of Praying in the Spirit or in Tongues) Majority of us are already Baptized in the Holy Spirit so it settles in my spirit when asking God for a topic to speak on what He has taught me so we will be looking at THE POWER OF PRAYING IN TONGUES.

Praying in tongues is a powerful believers tool and it's very essential if one wants to continually live a victorious life on earth.
Surprisingly this "unknown tongues" is not part of the gifts of the spirit but it carries more weight and without it the fullness of the manifestation of any of the 9 gifts of the spirit cannot be fully established in the life of a believer.

Even our Lord Jesus didn't manifest this gift but foretold us in the book of Mark

And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
Mark 16:17‭-‬18 NKJV

Jesus wasn't the first that gave this prophesy but Isaiah when he said
For with stammering lips and another tongue He will speak to this people,
Isaiah 28:11 NKJV

So we can see it's very important that we must speak in this unknown tongues. "Tongues means Language" so it literally means Unknown Language (Language that can not be understood by humans and angels inclusive. Yes,and also the devil and demons)

so let's go into today's topic.

WHAT IS SPEAKING IN TONGUES
We can this find a direct meaning of this in 1 cor 14:2

For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God, for no one understands him; however, in the spirit he speaks mysteries.
I Corinthians 14:2 NKJV

Here we see that when we speak in tongues , we don't speak the language of men but of God and what we speak is deeper that what man/angels/devil/demons can comprehend. This is called MYSTERIES.

let me briefly explain what this mysteries look like. The scripture says
Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
Romans 8:26‭-‬27 NKJV

Now I have seen many interpretation that says this scripture is about receiving insight from the Holy Spirit on what to pray about but no it's not. if you look at it, it says
For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the SPIRIT HIMSELF makes intercession for us with groanings which CANNOT BE UTTERED.

if you carefully look at this verse, it says the HOLY SPIRIT HIMSELF and not that we ourself. Also it says, CANNOT BE UTTERED. What can be uttered are languages through which we communicate with but it says CANNOT. Before we continue let's look at the first baptism of the Holy Spirit on the day of pentecost

And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the SPIRIT GAVE THEM UTTERANCE
Acts 2:4 NKJV

You can see that they were speaking through the utterance of the Holy Spirit and not themselves and what they were speaking was the other or unknown tongues.

Her mum gives me food mostly all the times,....i thinks her mum wants me to date her daughter,.......The girl started living with her mum since February last year she was light and short in a very good stature,....we both became more close around "may" last year,....until when in july i made a proposal to the girl about my love for her on whatsapp she didn't reply me until about 48hours and she gave me the shocking of my life said she is not interested in any relationship,..i kept on texting her about love even telling her i felt like kissing her deeply,....that is when she started showing attitude towards me currently till now she no longer speak or chat with me anymore and i also have to be on my lane,....i don't want to feel as an ingrate soul because her mother mostly everyday she gives me food,.. she is an indigene of ilorin state,... please i need advice from pure minded soul here what should i do,....,
