AryEmber: If you are going there to drink and wear skimping dress, then yes. So its not clubbing that is bad, its the activities you do. So to you drinking is bad, it doesn't matter were it happens. |

AryEmber: I think it's safe to say that the amount of folks that go to clubs to drink just water are few, if you agree then you should agree that clubbing is bad except for few people who go to drink water. I don't agree clubbing is bad neither do I agree drinking is bad. Like i said earlier, everything that can be done in a club can be done in a house so if clubbing is bad then having a house is bad. People drink alcohol at the beach, would you say going to the beach is bad? |

daveP: See that stupid geh asking if going to church makes you a righteous person!!
While the answer is no, the real answer is that there is an intent, a motive to try and live a righteous life. That intent is what pushes you to the church. Now there may be other things that occur. but coming to God's presence shows you wanna hear from Him and live by Him.
Transfer to clubhouse, the intent....
Hear many of the testimony of God's General's and others outside that work by Liardon, Most of them were going to church for going sake, but they all had something in common after they really met the Savior, that is, they were truly hearing the word and they remember the Word, but they weren't heeding to The Word. They now remembered after they got truly converted.
Lemme leave it here. Bros stop deceiving yourself. I have seen people go to church to because of girls. Heck in my days in the uni, boys used to go to churches were first timers are given food during the broke periods. As for intent in club, Lots of people go to clubs to Dance and nothing in the bible condemns dancing. Like someone said earlier, people like you would have crucified Jesus for hanging out with a prostitute and you would have justified it with "What does a righteous man want with a prostitute"? |

AryEmber: Variety may make the world an interesting place, it does not stop me from calling what I feel is wrong other thing. If you feel comfortable going to club just to dance, I can't say much about that but if it includes the other things, then clubbing is bad. Oh the irony in this post. Everything that can be done (and is done )in a club can also be done (and is done) in a house so if clubbing is bad then having a house is bad. |

safarigirl: I sincerely hope that all these people against clubbing have never engaged in pre-marital sex, nor masturbated, nor even lied, nor spoken ill of anyone.
You cannot say clubbing is a sin, while failing to note that any of the above things are also against the word of God.
I personally don't seethe purpose of clubbing because I dance to my own music at home and the idea of paying for drinks at exorbitant prices does not appeal to me, but it does not in any way make clubbing a bad thing.
There are more terrible human beings in your average Nigerian church than in any club. It is a means of having fun after a long week, people should not be castigated for that.
Some fake holy people are on this thread forming Deputy Jesus as if people who go clubbing are the worst. You take the drinks at home before you first |
Romance › Re: Does Clubbing Makes Someone A Bad Person? by AZeD1(m): 4:25pm On Nov 07, 2018 |
AryEmber: Tell me what these variety of activities are. I don't get you, you go to a club only to find a quiet place to chat? Or you are talking of a bar? There's dancing, there's drinking, there's eating and there is just gisting. Some clubs have multiple dance floors so you might have one section playing Salsa music and another playing pop. In a group of 8 people in a club, not all of them are there for the dancing or the drinking but the group chose a club to hangout. |

The Prof is right. ASUU is a trade union interested in enriching their pockets rather than improving the standard of education in Nigeria.
I always tell anyone that cares to listen "If you have the opportunity to school outside Nigeria, take it". The difference is like day and night.
In the UK, at the end of the semester, lecturers give students survey to fill about their performance, God help the lecturer if a large number of students say you are bad. |

PrimadonnaO: Read at Emmanuel Kings argument very well. He's made absolute sense.
If you want to be immoral or overt, go on. You're an adult! But don't you dare paint black as white! A proper Christian, in all honesty...has no business being in a club.
Been to a club twice. Got no business going there again. The bold part is the same thing the Pharisees said when Jesus was hanging out with a prostitute and tax collectors. If going to a club makes someone a bad person then by your logic, going to a church makes someone righteous. |

AryEmber: It does not have to be in a club, not the best place actually. What will you be doing? Talking over loud music? Its one of the best places actually as it offers a variety of activities to do. Those who want to dance will dance, those there for the drinks will drink while those there to gist will gist. There are places in clubs that are not loud. |

Education › Re: 5 Reasons Secondary School Students Don’t Need Social Media by AZeD1(m): 8:30pm On Nov 06, 2018 |
Who is the moderator that pushes such rubbish to the front page? 24hoursreporter: Social media is arguably the greatest invention after the internet. However, as interesting, entertaining and informative this technology is, there are certain restrictions to its usage.
In this article, our readers will learn the top 5 reasons secondary school students don’t need social media. You may argue this, but a holistic look at social media vis a vis teenager will convince you otherwise.
5 Reasons Secondary School Students Don’t Need Social Media
#1. Social Media Platforms Are Not Designed For Children
Ordinarily, social media platforms are not for teenagers. It is basically for adults with some level of maturity. Most times, Social media usage comes with temptations and distractions, it only takes matured mind to handle them.
People who are 18/19 are teenagers and are also adults according the law. Also were did you get the idea that social media isn't for teenagers?
#2. It Is A Mere Entertainment Platform
Social media is a mere entertainment platform and it doesn’t make teenagers smarter and it definitely will not prepare them for future jobs. Rather it will only expose them to things they ought not to have known at their age. This is one of the reasons secondary school students don’t need social media.
False: Do you know the meaning of social media?
#3. Social Media is Addictive
Social media is very addictive and this is among the reasons secondary school students don’t need it. When teenagers start using social media early, it tends to become an addict.
Trust me, once a teenager is addicted to social media usage, he tends to give preferences to these platforms over his studies. This will unavoidably make a smart and intelligent teenager lost focus completely.
See answer above
#4. It Can Make Them To Lose Family Connection
Ordinarily, secondary school students ought to have been closer and more attached to their families than anyone else. However, when they start using social media, they tend to be more connected to friends they meet online. Sometimes, they start getting wrong advice from these people as they confide on them more than their own family.
Also see answer above
#5. Social Media Replaces Learning By Mingling With Peers
Ordinarily, teenagers need to learn how to mingle with their peers one on one. This is a skill every teen must learn to reduce the chances of becoming introvert. Sadly, when they are exposed to social media earlier, they tend to miss this.
Are you saying there were no introverts in the world before social media?

Politics › Re: See Channels TV Report About Buhari's WAEC Result by AZeD1(m): 3:51pm On Nov 06, 2018 |
gadogado: Why can't Buhari simply request his certificate or attestation from the University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate (UCLES) ?
WAEC HQ in Accra in 2015 said they couldn't find a record of 'mohammed Buhari' that graduated from Katsina Provincial Secondary School. Then in 2018 WAEC Nigeria gives attestation to Buhari. The issue is why not get it from the source and settle this issue. Why hire lawyers to defend you from a suit brought against you for not meeting the 'certificate' requirement?
This Cambridge master sheet could be a forgery for all I care. Don't give us master sheet, give us Cambridge attestation. Buhari will not request for his certificate from Cambridge because the controversy around it favours him. Buhari's core supporters don't care about his certificate and all the noise made by PDP about this certificate would not sway their votes. |

Kahujadekadura: . That is where u get it wrong. We Africans esp Nig are backward in dis world is becos we have been placed in a state that we now think that electorates are at d mercy of their politicians. Ask urself why Nnamdi Kanu demands no money from his fans neither did he gives money to them but he has fans more than anybody u can think of in dis country. What has this got to do with elections? An election is valid if there's only one voter so do you think its impossible for a politician to get one vote in Nigeria? How will boycotting the election work? Have you read the Nigerian constitution? |
Politics › Re: Minimum Wage: Nnamdi Kanu Tells Labour To Boycott 2019 Election by AZeD1(m): 3:44pm On Nov 05, 2018 |
Someone should tell Nnamdi Kanu that the Nigerian laws don't have a minimum number of voters law, so boycotting the election is a positive to Politicians not a negative. |

I saw my dad waec result and the dude was looking sweet and 17 on the certificate, buhari and the entire APC has just shoot themselves on the leg, Pdp and other political parties are gathering their arsenals to nail this clueless government, buhari has a lot to answer wen he fails to win 2019. I have never seen a government as corrupt and clueless as this. This new statement of result was issued in 2018 therefore a 2018 passport is required. If you lose your birth certificate, the new one issued to you has your current passport. |

The bible says "people perish for lack of knowledge". The UN cannot call for a referendum in Nigeria because Nigeria is a sovereign state and there's nothing anyone can do about it. Catalonia has been try to break out from Spain since God knows when and nobody has intervened because Spain is sovereign state. For anybody trying to bring up South Sudan, remember that South Sudan got its referendum after 13 years of war. There are two ways to get a referendum in Nigeria 1) Change the constitution 2) Go to war (a very long war) Biafra is not the only secessionist movement in the world https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lists_of_active_separatist_movements |
