Daboomb:Bros stop lying. Remi Tinubu first became a senator in the 7th Senate and that's 2011. She's going for her 3rd term. |
statusquoante:Go to the Yoruba tennis club and you'll see all of them. You expect Tinubu to tell Ambode to pick the call of the APC chairman? Is Ambode a baby? Whether you like it or not, politics is about self interest. If Ambode believes he doesn't need other party members, good luck to him. The primaries will hold soon and Ambode will know what his party members think of him. |
Flyingngel:Ambode has no problem with Tinubu. This has been said a million times. Like the councillor said, this is payback time, Ambode felt he only needed Tinubu's support and so neglected the others so bad that Muiz Banire is working with the Mandate group to oust Ambode. |
statusquoante:Tinubu has no problems with Ambode. Ambode problems started when he believed he only needs Tinubu's support to win. Tinubu is the public face of the APC Southwest's cabal. Those in the Lagos echelon of the party told Tinubu he's on his own of he decides to support Ambode, that's why Tinubu hasn't supported Sanwo Olu publicly. The reason why Tinubu has lasted this long, is because he's not a dictator like he's portrayed to be. Anyway, you can believe what you want. |
statusquoante:So Federal might helped in winning Osun and you think Federal might can be used in the South during general elections? Even OBJ back in the days couldn't use Federal might in Lagos. The PDP needs all the help they can get next year and any misstep by Buhari pushes the South West APC towards the PDP. Like I said earlier, politics is all about self interest. |
statusquoante:What's Abuja's business with what happens in Lagos? In all political parties, the governor's control party structure in the state except Lagos that runs a tight ship led by Tinubu. Why would Abuja want to do anything that would push The Southwest APC to make a deal with the PDP? Nigerian politics is all about self interest so what would Abuja offer Lagos APC in exchange for their support? |
statusquoante:Buhari needs Tinubu but has no use for Ambode. What do they need a guy for that can't win the delegates in his own ward for? Tinubu had issues with Fashola but had no choice than to support Fashola for a 2nd term. Tinubu and Fashola's camp are in a long term battle for the control of APC in Lagos but even those camps are united in their dislike for Ambode and you think Buhari would intervene ? Why would he want to create enemies for himself? |
statusquoante:DSS? You do know that Buhari is up for re election next year. The fact that Fashola's of APC in Lagos is also against Ambode should tell you all you need to know about he's reputation in APC. |
kennys:Is Ambode not the governor of the people in Ikorodu? Did they not vote for him? Fashola built roads in Ikorodu, so why can't Ambode? If you believe the APC in Lagos don't want Ambode because he has blocked loop holes for looting, what did he do with the money? Lagos is dirtier even though the state is paying N8.5 billion per year. The roads in Ikorodu are bad with a N1 trillion budget. Off the top of my head, Fashola built the following roads in Ikorodu 1) Added BRT Lane from mile 12 to Ikorodu 2) Ogolonto - Ebute road (rebuilt and dualization) 3) Ota-Ono road(dualization) 4) Repaired Sabo - Itokin road even though it's a federal road. 5) Consistently repaired Ijede road. In August I spent 2 hours for a 5mins Journey on this road at 11pm in the night. So tell me why APC members in Ikorodu should vote for Ambode in the primaries. Just one reason would be enough. |
Ehiscotch:The car might be expensive to people, but it's not expensive to Obafemi. |
gr8child:They will complete it in a month. The problem with impeachment is getting the required numbers and you can bet that will happen in Lagos. |
Bwalito:The day Ambode decamps, is the day he's impeached. adaweezy:No Ambode is disliked for his incompetence. Find anyone you know who stays in Ikorodu or visits Ikorodu regularly and asks about the roads there. Ikorodu is the largest LGA in Lagos population wise and Ambode has done nothing there. Take your time and see if you can find anything Ambode has done in Ikorodu. |
seguno2:I just put the definition of Technocrat up there. |
lexy2014:A technocrat is a scientist, engineer, or other expert who is one of a group of similar people who have political power as well as technical knowledge. Definition from Cambridge Dictionary. So is Ambode a Technocrat? |
WritePal:Ambode was a local government worker all his life. |
osazsky:What has Union bank got to do with NLC? Like I said earlier, you can't people to unionize or participate in a strike. Those who want to go on strike should do so and let others run their businesses. |
At the point in time, I would be happy if all the union members are locked up and the key thrown away. The same rights they have to join union is the same rights others have not to join unions or participate in the strike. |
adolfdenis:You need the Nigerian drivers license. The International one doesn't count. |
TeeTeem:Which masses is Ambode serving? Have you been to Ikorodu before? |
mapet:Osun had a total revenue of N16.7 billion for last year while its recurrent expenditure was budgeted to N75.8 billion. In other words, if Osun slashes its work force by 75%, its revenue still can't cover its recurrent expenditure. You can write all you want about Osun and Aregbesola but you can't dispute the numbers. We haven't even talked about capital expenditure yet oh. Osun has a domestic debt profile of N138.2 billion. If the new governor decides to pay off the domestic debt, using 2017's revenues figure, it would take 8 years to clear off. If you have different numbers, bring them out. Also point out how any of this makes Aregbesola a decent manager. |
mapet:Everything you said was making sense until you got to the bold. If Osun was a company, it would either be filing for bankruptcy, raised funds by selling shares(and down sizing) or sold at a discounted price. Aregbesola messed up Osun and it would take decades to rectify his mess. |
Anyone else tired of reading stuff from MURIC? |
Beremx:You have any proof that the election was rigged? |
Fierce11:Who do you think would have given them a better life among those that contested? Osun state is on life support and I doubt if there's any politician on earth that can help them right now. |
Frontend devs with React Experience, Shopify in Ottawa is recruiting. They are always recruiting though. |
I've said it so many times here, Ambode has no problems with Tinubu but with APC as a party. For those who don't know, Muiz Banire has a running battle with Tinubu. If there's anyone who has a problem with Tinubu in Lagos State, its Muiz. |
frozen70:Why cash and not a plaque? |
Pacesetter123:Forget about security votes and look at the 2017 budget and 2018 budgets, the country did not generate enough money to pay salaries. That's the bottom line. |
Lots of States are owing salaries with 18k minimum and yet the NLC wants it increased? How the hell is that supposed to happen? |
murmee:Ikorodu is the largest LGA in Lagos. Find someone who lives in Ikorodu and ask if he's happy with Ambode. |
HigherEd:Lol Any party that fields Ambode would loose woefully, even the APC. |
Quidquopro:I guess the PSP's that were cleaning Lagos are also looters. Funny how Ambode has pissed "the looters" and Lagos became dirtier.... |
