TravelRe: Bolt Driver Text Lady After A Ride, Lady Shares Chat by AZeD1(m): 1:42am On Oct 27, 2019
BluntBoy:
This is the story of a woman who slept with 3 Uber drivers. Mind you, it happened in one of your so-called sane countries. The third Uber driver was actually the one who asked her out. She didn't make a big deal out of it.

Enjoy:

By this point, I’d developed something of a reputation amongst my friends, and it was this reputation that ended up scoring me my third Uber sex story.

I was with a group after a night out when we got into an Uber together to ride home. The driver was not exactly my type, but certainly cute.

We started talking and laughing, and one of my friends, who was a bit drunk, giggled and warned him to look out, as I’d slept with a few drivers.

He raised one eyebrow and said it wouldn’t be the worst way to end a shift.

After we dropped her off, he asked if I wanted to go out for coffee. I said while he seemed really nice, I wasn’t looking for anything serious, so I was only really only interested in a quick "coffee"
at mine.

Alll I can say is he might not have been my usual type, but I DID get to finally try something I’ve wanted to for a while – sex with a guy that could lift me up off the floor and keep going until I was done.

Did you miss this part?

The Uber driver asked her out in the car and not text her by 1am.

The Bolt driver could have asked if he could contact her later.

BluntBoy:
The lady shared her data with Bolt but also agreed that her data would be shared with drivers. Bolt allows numbers to be visible to drivers for 24 hours after trip to resolve possible issues that might arise. It never stated that drivers couldn't use it to get cozy grin

Perhaps, you have not been reading my post.

Can I contact you later while at work can only be related to work-based issues. It wouldn't make any sense to be talking about contacting a rider later while they are still in your vehicle. If you are familiar with Bolt or any taxi services, you will know that drivers sometimes contact riders later to resolve issues.

So, you should never create misunderstandings by asking a rider if you would contact them later.
Bolt did not give drivers permission to make friends with the rider.

If the driver wants to be friends with the passenger, he should explicitly ask for it.

BluntBoy:
It is just a matter of speaking, not a legal thing. You don't need permission to call anyone. Moreover, except you work for a network service provider who have details far beyond just your phone number, there is very little of your details available to a Bolt driver. You can't steal numbers. There is nothing called "stealing numbers" under any jurisdictions.

And, it appears like you think it is more legitimate to chat up a customer who was still in your vehicle and who under company policy could not be said to be able to give consent?

What he did was safer than what you are suggesting he should have done. His relationship with her while she was still in his vehicle was quite different from when his dealings with her had ended.
The lady shared her data with Bolt and not the driver and using the data without the consent of the company or the lady is stealing. Asking if he could contact her later is the right thing to do.

Also if you are going to cold call/text someone, your first message should state who you are and your reason for calling/texting.

So, one must ask permission to call/text someone?

In what jurisdictions does one need permission to ring someone up or to text? How does call permission even work?
Hey can I have your phone number?
Hey, is it ok if I call sometime later?
Hey can I call/text you sometimes?

The girl spent more than 5 mins in his car, if he wanted to speak to her, he could/should have asked for her permission.
The guy literally stole her number and he expects her to be polite?

And, you are from Togo abihuh

Moreover, just because you don't want to give face does not mean you should be rude. "I have a boyfriend, sorry" is very much respectful and in good taste.

Ever watched videos of wooing pranks, you will see those white girls turning down guys with respect, and even a smile. "I have a boyfriend, sorry." "I am taken" "I am engaged" "I have a boyfriend".

That is the difference between an exposed people and savages.
How come you don't know its rude to call/text someone without their permission?

What's maga hat or ivanka got to do with slapping tariffs on China because of China's unfair trade practices.

If you have nothing better to say, just move on or go and carry placard to demonstrate and support rice smuglers.

I hate wasting my time on petty and irrelevant posts.
Lol...
Trump is patriotic he makes his products in China.

Rice smuggling started because Buhari stopped them from bringing it through the ports.
It's that simple.

It is actually, you are wrong. Patriotism is the reason why you are in the position to make decisions including economic decisions on behalf of your country in the first place, you don't and an not make economic decisions that are not in favor of your own country.

When Trump imposed sanctions and tariffs on foreign products even against his neighbors, it was patriotism even though America is losing money and their farmers are losing billions of dollars in exports.

He called it America first.

How do Nigerians reconcile wanting a great country with cheap and abundant food, but too unpatriotic and can not sacrifice anything to be that great country with cheap and abundant food?

You obviously don't know the meaning of patriotism.
When someone brings Trump into an economic argument, you know they are clueless.
1) Trump doesn't even make the "Maga" hats in America
2) Have you asked why Ivanka's products are exempted from tariff?
3) How come Buhari goes to the UK for treatment? What happened to patronizing local hospitals?

Oga, its not just about wickedness, the fact that local production is costlier than imports does not necessarily mean local producers are wicked, actually this pricing is one of the advantages of international trade/Globalization. It can also be referred to as Comparative cost advantage

PoliticsRe: Niger Bans Rice Export To Nigeria Following Closure Of Nigeria’s Borders by AZeD1(m): 6:33pm On Oct 14, 2019
NGpatriot:
They did not ask you to go into business because of patriotism, they are asking you as a private citizen to buy Nigeria to make Nigeria grow.

Necessity is the mother of invention, when there's a lack of availability og certain products businesses will move in to fill that void, this is what business people do.

Hoarding is what greedy and unpatriotic people do naturally, but what's this got to do with the ban on the importation of rice?

Or you mean we should leave our borders wide open and let our neighbors flood our country with imported rice?

Do you even know how much we lose yearly due to rice smuggling?

Do you think smugglers py taxes and tariffs on the rice they flood Nigeria with?

See how you just undercut your own argument? We are talking about border closure tp prevent smuggling and smugglers denying Nigeria custom tariffs and payment and you are talking about importing and paying customs.

If that's the case, why are the smugglers smuggling their rice into Nigeria instead of doing what you suggested by going through customs and paying the necessary fees to import their rice?

We closed our borders because of smuggling, not because of imports going through our ports.

That is a different argument, establish your own cocoa processing plant and change the dynamics if you have the money. What's the president's business with that? You want the FG to establish chocolate factories or what?

I wnde when you people are going to start blaming the FG because the sky is blue.

You people don't put any thought into your arguments, you just pull anything out of the sky to rubbish your own country with even when it doesn't make sense.
1) Patriotism is not an economic policy. When you go to the hospital, Patriotism will not pay the bills, money will. Nigeria is a price sensitive country and majority of Nigerians go for cheaper things.
2) Buhari banned rice imports via the ports that's why people started importing from Benin Republic. Like I said, if rice was cheaper in Nigeria, importing would be a waste of time. Techno started producing cheaper smart phones from Samsung and Apple and now own a large share of the market. Economics 101.. compete on price and you'd win.

In a thread and topic about rice, you were ranting about cocoa so what was smart about that?

And about begging, he did not beg, he asked the farmers not to increase the price of rice, it's a matter of supply and demand, low availability of products means greedy people hide and hoard products to make money.

Read and comprehend what was said instead of peddling lies and misinformation to get likes on NL.

These unpatriotic people sef..
1) Nobody goes into business because of patriotism. Everyone in business is there to make money.
2) Closing the borders would encourage hording and smuggling. That's why the CBN Governor was begging...
3) If I can buy rice from Asia, ship it to Nigeria, pay custom and still sell it close to the same as rice produced in Nigeria, then the problem is the high cost of production in Nigeria and not importation.
4) The Cocoa example just shows that that's little value in growing crops, the value is in processing what was produced.

So I decided to throw this question to the house.

How can you rationally justify spending #600k on a phone?

CareerRe: What Are The Career Options For A Lawyer Migrating From Nigeria To Canada? by AZeD1(m): 12:47pm On Sep 27, 2019
4 pages in and not one person gave the op the right answer..

OP to practice law in Canada, you need to be called to the Canadian (provincial) bar and different provinces have different requirements.

To be qualified, you have to take the NCAA and coming from Nigeria, you would have to write 5 courses. The exams are written 4 times a year and you can decide to write the 5 at a go or break it down however you like.

In Ontario, after the NCAA, you have to article ( which is an internship before you are called to the bar) but not all provinces require articling.

As for jobs, you can do anything you want before you are qualified to practice. Some become legal assistants at law firms or legal assistant in firms while going through the qualification process while others go a different route.

Hi seniors, I will be landing in Alberta next year and I would love to choose a new career path. I have been a class room teacher for the past 3 years. I studied English for my first degree then Peace and Strategic studies for my masters. My experience and degrees in the best of my knowledge can't land me any good paying job in Canada. So I'm wondering if you all could suggest an high paying diploma course, certifications or trade work that is in high demand that I can quickly study for.
Thanks
If your plan is any good high paying job, you are going to have a very hard time.
Medicine, Law, Software Development, Trades (plumbing, HVAC, Auto Mechanics) are all high paying jobs but you have to do the initial work.

Moving to Canada is an opportunity for you to start afresh and you have to remember life is a marathon not a sprint.

A high paying job today might not be one tomorrow.

Aunty do your assignment well there are cheap and affordable schools in Canada and with the way CRS scores keeps increasing everyday the best and fastest way to jet out is through school. This isn't a pointless arguement, some people have been in the pool for over 5months and no ITA yet because it gets competitive everyday. I don't know her age but the best score she can get on CRS is 456 which isn't enough at this point
There's no way schooling is cheaper. Even if the fees is 3k per semester, two semesters is six then add cost of living and you'd see that PR route is way cheaper.
