With documentation or not? I lived and studied in East London and getting a T-Mobile or Vodafone one had to provide proof of identity unlike here where you need not provide more than word of mouth.
Without documentation. Go to any corner store and ask a Lebara or Lyca sim and you will get it with no questions asked.
Your T-Mobile/Vodafone was most likely not pay as you go.

You called them illegal and this is why it is hard for them to get jobs or social security of any form from the government. In a nutshell they are not part of the system and this easily exposes them
This was your original post
"In USA for example any number you own is linked to your SSN"

My post was to show you how that's a lie. You don't need SSN to get a phone in the US.
My parents have US numbers but they don't have SSN.

You can literally buy a prepaid SIM card from Amazon.

So I ask again, which advanced countries limit the number of SIM a person can buy?

I can tell you for a fact that you can buy SIM cards in the US, UK, Canada and Hong Kong with cash and not do any registration.

I lived in the UK. You can buy as many Lebara and Lyca Sims as you want and nobody will ask you anything.

In USA for example any number you own is linked to your SSN.

Once your SSN is punched in all your details such as banks, residence, credit report, phone numbers, criminals cases (pending or served) are revealed.
Illegal immigrants don't have SSN but they have phones. Can you explain how?

Nigerians are so used to buying SIMs that they will thrash for no serious reason. SIM purchase needs to be made stricter than it is. Everybody just dey anonymous in this country....people crawling out of the woodwork and you wonder where they from. No reliable database....Its time for some sanity.
This is 2020. The thought that a government would even think of regulating sim cards in 2020 is mind boggling.

Ok, is 3 SIM cards a bad policy? These are things that are done in advanced countries too. You don't just wake up and change sim card like it kpyoko.
Can you point to the advanced countries you are talking about?

Hello Seniors,
Please anyone with experience in Ottawa, should kindly advice on the following
Cost of a two bedroom furnished apartment
Other cost of monthly living expenses (transportation, grocery, creche, and anything I missed out) for a family of 4.. 2 adults, 2 kids (6 and 2)
Opportunities for roles in the finance/banking/admin sector for new immigrants...
Am drawn to the city and planning ahead. Thanks in advance...
There's no definite answer to your question because it's relative.
2 bedroom fully furnished would probably cost 2k and above. This would increase depending on the part of Ottawa you also stay.
Grocery depends on what you eat and how much you eat but you can put a low of $300.
Monthly bus pass for an adult is 119.50. I don't know the cost for kids but I would guess it's half of that.

Politics / Re: Corporate Affairs Commission Implements Dress Code For Visitors by AZeD1(m): 4:16pm On Feb 11, 2020
Gnaeusmagnus:

Because...sadly, people judge others by their dressing.

It's a reality of this cold hard world...and one I don't like by the way.

Humanity is a visual race. That's why for people hawking your latest snake oil or ponzi scheme, dressing well is part of the scam. If they dressed like the evil personages they are , they would not get any decieving done.

Even the Devil appears as an angel of light, because appearing as the real Infernal Majesty he is would scare the potential customers and the potential worshippers off...

The truth is,if you dress anyhow, it damages your image automatically. Poeple judge you. Because we are humans, not gods or mind readers. We cannot make judgements based on reading whatever inner attribute you have...we make judgements on what we see....

Or if you are so tolerant, would you agree to be treated by a doctor wearing nothing but his birthday suit in the office?? Or would you like to have your three year old kid taught by a lady wearing nothing but a micro-bikini in class...since we must not judge.

Welcome to planet Earth...where there is one rule...presentation, presentation. A little sugar makes the medicine go down...the medicine go down....
This is not a planet earth problem, it's a Nigerian problem.

I wear jeans to interviews, I wear jeans to work. In the summer I switch to shorts. Ladies in my office also wear shorts in the summer and nobody cares because you are paid to do the work, not be a fashion model.

If the folks at CAC were smart, they'll spend their thinking of how to reduce folks from coming to their office.

So, do you dress casually on official visits to civil service offices?

Mark Zuckerberg dressing down does not mean everyone else should dress.down.

Or you would like it if your banker or doctor or lawyer dressed anyhow when transacting business with you?

Zuckerberg or no Zuckerberg, dressing well still carries better influence
How does a banker dress affect the work? There's a reason why Nigeria is a terrible country, it's all about the appearance.
You can steal as much as you like, just go to church or mosque and everything will be ok.

You can be a dunce in whatever you do, Gnaeusmagnus will patronize you because your dressing is what is important.

Politics / Re: Okada Restriction In Lagos: Sanwoolu Is On The Side Of The Law And Has Done Well by AZeD1(m): 8:57pm On Feb 06, 2020
TonyeBarcanista:

As much as you feel pain due to the implementation of this Okada restriction (which is a law anyway), you have to see the bigger picture; it is for the benefit of the state.

We need leaders that will do what is right for the state irrespective of whether the right thing will bring us temporal inconveniences

BTW the idea of Okada ban was mooted in 2007, temporarily implemented in 2011, and became a law in 2012... Between August 2012 and January 2020 is 9 years+.
Before you write an article about a topic, make sure you are informed about that topic.

There's no law that bans Okada in Lagos State, what the law states is bikes with engine capacity less than 200cc.

The law is the reason why bikes from GoKada, Max and other bike hailing services are above 200cc

I highly doubt your FRSC letter would help you reduce Insurance premium. Your insurance record from Nigeria will help you reduce premium though.

People what is the best NOC for someone who works in a bank as a customer service representative? I know Customer Service for financial institutions is in C band and not eligible.

Below is the JD from the reference letter gotten

1) Account Opening: Transfer, Documentation update and closure
2) E product management, including the processing and administration of all E products requested by costumers
3) Cheque book management including processing and release
4) Account Relationship management
5) Process International trade transactions
6) Process Reference letters
7) Customer feedback.

Thanks.

So much rubbish written with such bravado.

1) Iranians hate Al Qaeda with a passion. Iranians are Sunni while Al Qaeda leaders were Saudi funded.
2) Obama did not "dash" Iran money, he basically gave them back their money.

Do you even know how the American Iranian crisis started?

Do you know that the American army actually shot down an Iranian civilian aircraft and then vice President Bush senior refused to apologize?

Do you know there are Christians in Iran?

I really do not know the angle you are looking at this from, but I do think this is a welcome development. No more skyrocketing of DSTV subscription.
UK in the past had only Sky showing EPL matches on TV and people complained about the rising prices like how Nigerians complain about DSTV then BT sports and Amazon Prime got a slice of the market now avid football fans in the UK have to subscribe to Sky, BT and Amazon Prime to watch all matches which in total cost more than when it was only Sky.
So in theory, it was good to "break the monopoly" but the customer ended up paying more.

Same thing would happen in Nigeria. You'll probably have to get, DSTV and Startimes just to watch EPL if this rule goes into effect.
