somehow: The reason for removing them is not because they are not humans, its because they cost the military more money to maintain. How can you be maintaining machineries and also be maintaining humans x2 the cost of defined sexual oriented soldiers? The US military spends more money on Viagra than on trans people so your argument doesn't hold. |

Politics › Re: Nigerians To Pay N7.45/kwh More For Electricity (see Price List) by AZeD1(m): 6:02am On Jul 25, 2017 |
SalamRushdie: What part is in a real mess ? Generation or Transmission? And can enumerate this mess since it's clear you work there now I don't work in the sector, but here's a brief issue 1) we don't generate enough 2) we have a poor transmission network 3) Distribution network is also poor. South Africa generates 40k MW while Nigeria which has 3 times the population generates 5k MW. We have the ability in theory to generate 11k MW but our transmission network can only handle 7k5 MW. Remember the $16B OBJ spent on power? A majority of the money wasn't stolen as OBJ actually built power plants but they were built with politics in mind not economics so they were built in places without adequate gas infrastructure. Our poor transmission network leads to loss, so a genco sends 100MW to the NCC, due to losses, only 90MW gets to NCC. The genco expects to be paid for 100MW but NCC only received 90MW. NCC sends the 90MW to discos but only 80MW gets there. NCC expects money for 90MW but the discos would only pay for the 80MW they got. So there's a missing 20MW which has to be paid for but by who? The question is do you expand the transmission network or rebuild the current network to make it more efficient? If you build additional Power plants today, there wouldn't be a difference because the power can't be transmitted. These are some of the issues and fixing this ones alone would cost more than the budget of the country. |

SalamRushdie: Guy we are in no mess please ..The truth is that it's corruption that's going on and nothing else ..I have never seen where customers have to bear the cost of future solution first a private firm ...Don't be decieved they are only interested in selling darkness ..Are you aware that these same DiSCOs always reject 75 percent of the electricity sent to them by the GENCOs because they are not interested in selling it to their customers.. After the increase I will be back after a year to remind you OK Dude I know what's going on in the power sector, first hand information not newspaper report. I'm not saying there's no corruption, but corruption aside, that sector is in a mess. A real mess. |

Politics › Re: Nigerians To Pay N7.45/kwh More For Electricity (see Price List) by AZeD1(m): 8:40pm On Jul 24, 2017 |
SalamRushdie: From your comment I have no doubt that you don't pay the electricity bills where you stay or you don't consume electricity because the last increment is even barely affordable for most Nigerians , with the last tariff I have to spend 20 a month despite that I got an average of 10 hours of light ..this month I will spend less because I only get just 3 hours of light now ...infact as I was typing light just came and I gather it's since yesterday it was taken You want me to send you a copy of my last bill? |

DerideGull: I would ask the ambassador of Germany to allow his country to form united country with France just for ten years and tell me what the picture looks like. I really do not understand the beef about one or more ethnic nationalities opting out of the cesspit called Nigeria? Where was the ambassador of Germany when countries such as USSR, Czechoslovakia and end even Yugoslavia disintegrated. I can resolutely say that ethnic nationalities pretentiously staying together in the colonial contraption called Nigeria is everlasting curse. These dumbass Europeans have never had anything good for Africans. They will always support the route to darkness which is favored by dimwitted Africans. Almost every country in the world has a secessionist group fighting for independence, it would be suicidal for any country to openly support a secessionist group. For all the talk of the right to self independence in the UN Charter, neither the UN or the EU has been able to help the Catalan nation secure a referendum in Spain. If IPOD thinks any nation will openly come out and support Biafra, then they are on a long thing. The Bavarians want to leave Germany. Also note that the German constitution doesn't allow for secession. https://www.rt.com/news/396600-bavaria-independence-germany-poll/ |

Babachi: Its unlikely to get a rejection after IP1 if you are not a security threat. I have noticed that a lot of applicants have been left hanging at NA after IP1. My theory is that the visa officer wasn't fully convinced regarding proof of funds especially for those who use gift deeds. I don't believe a gift deed issued outside Canada would be adjudged as binding. People should provide adequate explanation for funds gifted to them. I would advice that people still waiting for ppr keep their pof handy in case an update is requested. I know someone who used a gift deed and has gotten PPR. No questions asked,no delay, regular timeline with those in the batch. |

A country is like en enterprise business with several functions that spans across different business units...
Don't be surprised if you see Dangote running in 2019 A country is like a family, different people bound together by nature with different aspirations, goals and orientation. A company has one, goal...... make profit. Running a country and a business are two totally different things. PS: Countries provide social security for a certain class of people, can you point out the equivalent in a business? |

For those that have received PPR please did they contact your offices (present and past) to verify? I ask because my present company hasn't been contacted and my past employer also promised to inform me when contacted.
Can anyone please shed some light on the BGC
Thanks I don't think they contact your employers(previous and present) unless they suspect you might be lying. I think initial checks are done online(LinkedIn, companies website e.t.c). Also some people are randomly chosen for audit purposes and for those, your employers will be contacted. PS: This is my opinion and should not be taken as gospel truth. |

So is it easier to add wifey after getting my PPR than waiting till after PR, That's after completing the whole process. . .?
In plain English, should I wait till I get my PR or before I get PR to add wifey?
Hope my question is clear enough... Phew. There's a note when you get your AOR that says you should notify IRCC if "your situation changes". I believe if you get married before PPR you should notify IRCC because waiting for sometime might be risky and can lead to misrepresentation. |
