Riff-Raff:What is religion |
A soldier is tough and does not take nonsense, He takes orders from who enlisted him and does not receive contrary orders from anyone else He is loyal and disciplined and always on the alert |
If you don't know why you are alive you are living a wasted life Some people wish they were dead Others wish others were dead What a wasted life Most times we are ignorant of our purpose for living When you understand why you live you will understand why others should live You can have a great life everyday |
Dearest mod Pls I think the details in Lovekings 'i want to be the antichrist' is gory presently and such should not be allowed on this forum, it should move out It is of great concern presently You can't say you have not seen it |

Mine has been from strength to strength Got born again at a very young age Did not know so much,so made a lot of mistakes But god had a purpose for my life He set me on the course I must follow Everyday I fulfil his plan for my life because he has set me in a place where I cannot but touch more lives I got married in 2009, in 2010 two weeks to my due date precisely on the 5th of April after a great service in church I went home, ate very well and slept off around 8:00pm,I woke up around 11:00pm and felt some slight pain in my back, called my pastor and he prayed for me after which I went back to sleep, the next time I woke up,the first thing I heard was congratulations you have a baby boy, The next day when I heard what really happened the only thing I could say was God is faithful My son is the healthiest child I have ever known,he is a godly seed, and loved by everyone. God is indeed faithful And I will continually seek to pease him, This walk so far have been great |

2 Timothy 2:4 4 No soldier when in service gets entangled in the enterprises of[ civilian] life; his aim is to satisfy and please the one who enlisted him. Are you pleasing the one who enlisted you and how do you know tha? |
Today I bring joy to my world, I have the responsibility of turning men to christ,I have been provided with the opportunity for this and will definitely do it |
Matthew 15:11 11 It is not what goes into the mouth of a man that makes him unclean and defiled, but what comes out of the mouth; this makes a man unclean and defiles[ him]. |
1 she was drawn of her own lust James 1:12-15 12 Happy is the man who doesn't give in and do wrong when he is tempted, for afterwards he will get as his reward the crown of life that God has promised those who love him. 13 And remember, when someone wants to do wrong it is never God who is tempting him, for God never wants to do wrong and never tempts anyone else to do it. 14 Temptation is the pull of man's own evil thoughts and wishes. 15 These evil thoughts lead to evil actions and afterwards to the death penalty from God. 2. She should tell her husband, but since this might be difficult she should tell her pastor Jeremiah3:15 And I will give you pastors according to my heart which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding 3: she has a choice to stop the relationship,he can't hold her down |
You don't have to want it you are already against christ |
Are you defining yourself |
Everyday when you wake up,are you glad to be here, is there something to live for.do you have a purpose,do you have an identity or are you confused,Life can be better, there is a purpose for living ,we are not here for nothing. Why are you alive? |
These men are grumblers and faultfinders; they follow their own evil desires; they boast about themselves and flatter others for their own advantage. Grumblers: they preach the word with power Faultfinders: they cast out devils Evil desires : they desire for us to prosper and be in good health Boast about themselves: they let us know who they are in christ Flatter others: they tell us who we are in christ |
@Aletheia
who and what is a pastor? Titles that men gave to themselves. Does that word occur in the bible in relation to church government? The Holy Spirit has apportioned gifts as He wills and "pastor" is not among those gifts
1.A pastor is one called into the office of a pastor and anointed for it It is not a title ,it is being called into an office with a job description Ephesians 4:11-13 11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: 13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: 2.A Pastor is a gift to the body of christ Jeremiah 3:15 15 And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding. |
Matthew 9:25-38 25 But when the people were put forth, he went in, and took her by the hand, and the maid arose. 26 And the fame hereof went abroad into all that land. 27 And when Jesus departed thence, two blind men followed him, crying, and saying,[ Thou] Son of David, have mercy on us. 28 And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, BelieBgve ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord. 29 Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you. 30 And their eyes were opened; and Jesus straitly charged them, saying, See[ that] no man know[ it]. 31 But they, when they were departed, spread abroad his fame in all that country. 32 As they went out, behold, they brought to him a dumb man possessed with a devil. 33 And when the devil was cast out, the dumb spake: and the multitudes marvelled, saying, It was never so seen in Israel. 34 But the Pharisees said, He casteth out devils through the prince of the devils. 35 And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people. 36 But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd. 37 Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly[ is] plenteous, but the labourers[ are] few; 38 Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest. With all this he still fulfilled his calling The harvest is plenteous indeed I hope the labourers do not reduce by Christians going on leave or vacation |
Jen33:Stop judging with your eyes ,rather by the scriptures Everything changes when one becomes born again 2 Corinthians 5:17 17 When someone becomes a Christian, he becomes a brand new person inside. He is not the same anymore. A new life has begun! |
Yes he does Check this out Hebrews 4:15 15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as[ we are, yet] without sin. |
uche13:What big scene are we talking about here Is it a big scene of telling a million people about jesus I still insist that in ministry we don't take time off I wonder what would have happened if after looking at the cross Jesus decided to take time off what life would have been like If there was any challenge all he should have done was to seek godly counsel Proverbs 24:6 6 For by wise counsel you can wage your war, and in an abundance of counselors there is victory and safety. My pastor used to be very shy in front of people to the point when even during his birthday while we sang happy birthday for him it was obvious he was not comfortable, this went on for quite some time but thank god he did not run away or take time off I wonder, where I would be today |
U know while reading this I thought to myself, Can anyone choose when to go on leave in the ministry? I don't think so It's high time we recognise that as Christians you did not call yourself and so you don't take decisions on your own,you can't wake up in the morning and decide to put the ministry on hold If he had a challenge and believed himself to have become more famous than the holy ghost (highly unbelievable)among his congregation he should have sought for spiritual help 2 Peter 1:10 10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall: Paul was very famous But he did not run away neither did he take a break infact most of the books in the new testament were authored by him Come to think of it this thread made me know about francis chan I do not think he is more famous than Paul You can't be a pastor today and decide tomorrow to do another thing,at this point you are no longer your own That is if he has a calling |
Ephesians 5:18-21 18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; 19 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; 20 Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; 21 Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God. This is the obvious outcome of getting filled with the spirit |
@poster What exactly is your point, are you saying that God determines if we become successful or not in life ? |
I know of someone who harboured so much bitterness and unforgiveness in her heart, thereby giving rooms to demons. Unforgiveness creates a big space for the devil and so should not be harboured Instead of piling up matters in your heart you can confront someone who has wronged you in love Love believes in people and gives them a second chance |
mazaje:The God we serve is highly principled, and giving is a law at work,he demonstrated his love for us when he gave us his son John 3:16-17 16 For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He[ even] gave up His only begotten( a unique) Son, so that whoever believes in( trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish( come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal( everlasting) life. 17 For God did not send the Son into the world in order to judge( to reject, to condemn, to pass sentence on) the world, but that the world might find salvation and be made safe and sound through Him. He does not ask for things because he is all sufficient but rather for our own good Luke 6:38 38 Give, and[ gifts] will be given to you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, will they pour a into[ the pouch formed by] the bosom[ of your robe and used as a bag]. For with the measure you deal out[ with the measure you use when you confer benefits on others], it will be measured back to you. When we give to god we express our love towards him |
shotster50:Interesting how can ones mind create this except if the mind is still very much carnal and adulterated |
manmustwac:So you believe this Hmmmm interesting to note Perharps you can remember when they also said chief olusegun obasanjo wás dead did you believe it? Or are you his staff that did the announcement for him or held a press conference on his behalf to announce the fasting and prayer. Better still you do not have proof of the allegations whatsoever There is no truth whatsoever in these materials Wake up |
Every magazine wants to sell and needs articles that can sell, pastor chris is one such figure that can bring about this,so I am not surprised, |
Sanusilyde:1 Corinthians 1:27-31 27 Isn't it obvious that God deliberately chose men and women that the culture overlooks and exploits and abuses, 28 chose these"nobodies"to expose the hollow pretensions of the"somebodies"? 29 That makes it quite clear that none of you can get by with blowing your own horn before God. 30 Everything that we have-- right thinking and right living, a clean slate and a fresh start-- comes from God by way of Jesus Christ. 31 That's why we have the saying,"If you're going to blow a horn, blow a trumpet for God." What has this got to do with screaming like mad dogs when preaching or praying |
zibe:What exactly do you understand by the word salvation |
