With what is happening in Ebonyi state, I just continue to feel pity for Abia and most especially Anioma but one thing is clear, if Ebonyi can get this much development in just 3 years, then there is hope for the total transformation of Anioma for the better, we just need an Umahi or Obiano in delta.

If we can be patient and vote just APGA in all the different southeastern states both state house and federal house and national assembly. No it is not ideal. everybody has his choice of party and freedom of association. All Igbos belonging to the same isolated Igbo party will make everything seems clannish.

Oga how?! was it after the civil war Gowon initiated the "3Rs", the money they got from international communities was being used to open up kano, maiduguri, kaduna, jos and sokoto leaving the war affected areas. We should be thankful to God that now there is democracy at least there is partial even distribution of wealth to all zones of Nigeria although the marginalisation is still there. It is democracy that makes us to start seeing little development in SE, now you can be proud in showcasing developments in Enugu, Owerri, Abakiliki, Abia and Anambra . Before 1999 if you were not born ask people about the state of development in SS and SE, Akwa ibom state is a case study.

Beside Owerri, there is Okigwe and Orlu and other upcoming towns like Oguta, mgbidi, nkwerre, obowo, umuaka etc

I don't believe they'll fail even if they're general. Orlu to Onitsha is a 1hr drive, Orlu to Aba is a 1hr drive. Orlu is the exact center of Igboland, or at least close. you can have two general markets 1 hour apart from each other and they'll both thrive. The issue is someone from the Orlu area has to drive 1 hour either way to find anything outside of village goods. That's economically crushing the center of Igboland. Even in Lagos there are major markets that are 30 mins away from each other. 15 mins.

A major market in Owerri is necessary as well, but Orlu is crucial. If you check abroad, lagos, abuja etc the bulk of people that leave Igboland are from that Orlu zone. The #1 industry in the zone is 'abroad'. And Igboland will suffer without it being lifted by a major market.

You are right bro, but this area has people like Nnewi so let them act like Nnewi people 1st then other things will come. It also has 2 big Nigerian pastors of Igbo origin.

Enugu people understood that it's wrong to have a one city state - Enugu. Hence in 2015, they agreed to diversify development and expansion of other towns in Enugu as they elected Ugwuanyi from Nsukka area for governor. Ugwuanyi has done marvellous job in expansion and modernization of Nsukka and other towns of Enugu state in three years.

Hopefully, as Okorocha fan, you don't take to insulting now.

Imo state also understood this in 2011 hence they elected Rochas Okorocha.

But no body knew then that Okorocha has ancient grudge against anything and anybody connected to Orlu.

Okorocha destroyed or stifled existing infrastructures in Orlu, but continued with expansion and modernization of Owerri out of malice for Orlu.

Okigwe and other lgas that are abandoned are collateral victims of Okorocha's malice against Orlu.
