Even in the early seventies, from the city center of asa road, going one mile exiting the city was umungasi, which is flanked by eziama. Both umungasi and eziama all the way to where ngwa high school is was totally and completely ngwa villages. These places are now part of aba, but that's because almost all the land was sold by the ngwa indegenious. Uptil today my family still live in aba. Anytime I visit nigeria, I've no choice than to stay in aba. I've been visiting nigeria every year now for the past three years, so, please don't come here with your fake assertions

There are millions of people trading on aba streets. Driving a car on asa road which is known as Aba's main thoroughfare is a nightmare. Hawkers and street traders don't allow motorist and the notorious keke napep people free movement. Keke mechanics were fixing people's keke right there on the street. HEAPS AND HEAPS OF REFUSE LITTER THE ENTIRE LANDSCAPE. As bad as it was, there's some improvements. I use to attack everything abia state on the vanguard comment section until my visit to nigeria of late. I was pleasantly surprised that ikpeazu has been trying his level best to rebuild all the bad roads that were completely not motorable three years ago. I'm really impressed with his work and I apologise for ATTACKING him the few times I did. He should continue in his endeavour, but what aba and all the other igbo cities need is a COMPLETE MAKEOVER. In short, we should essentially go back to SQUARE ONE pure and simple. There are no two ways about it.

The Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) Monday said the threat by the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) to declare May 30 as ‘a sit-at-home day’ was destructive and a threat to national cohesion.
In a statement, the forum urged governors and elders from the South-east region to call their wards to order, stressing that such action is capable of causing chaos in the country.

The statement signed by the spokesman of the forum, Muhammad Ibrahim, recalled that the sit-at-home order last year by the IPOB did not only infringe on the liberty and rights of innocent and law-abiding citizens residing in the South-east, but was also hijacked by hoodlums who used the opportunity to unleash terror and mayhem on non indigenes.

“It would be recalled that the sit-at-home order of last year by IPOB did not only infringe on the liberty and rights of innocent and law abiding citizens residing in the South-east zone of Nigeria, it was also hijacked by hoodlums who unleashed terror on non-indigenes. We therefore cannot afford a repeat of such incidence.


“Given the benefit of hindsight, ACF therefore, calls on the South-east governors to prevail on their citizens to ignore such acts that seek to affect our sense of oneness and could also affect the economy and political stability of not only in the South-east but of Nigeria as a whole,” the statement said.

The forum urged members of IPOB to listen to the wise counsel of their elders and elected political representatives at both the national and state assemblies and adopt due democratic process.
“Our present democratic structure provides sufficient avenue for people to give voice to their aspirations and vent their concerns. Nigerians should therefore avail themselves to this opportunity rather than seek to heat up the polity.

“ACF also calls on the security agencies to put in adequate measures that will ensure the safety of all citizens in every part of country…
“Our faith in one indivisible Nigeria despite our moments of national instability and challenges has continued to be reaffirmed by individuals and groups at different fora.

“We have also demonstrated it in words and deeds in our political sojourn. We cannot therefore jettison our collective sacrifice for primordial sentiments that would do no one any good,” the ACF said.

The forum said further that Nigeria, like all developing nations, has challenges which can be overcome through collective hard work and due democratic process, stressing that intimidation and threats are not viable means that give voice to people’s aspiration as it is unnecessary and unhelpful.

IPOB had in a statement by its
Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, directed people of the South-east to sit at home on May 30 in remembrance of the Biafra struggle, victims of Fulani herdsmen, Boko Haram violence and those who died in the hands of security agencies in Nigeria over the years.

I believe the federal line is 33 Kva whereas the local is 11Kva. If Umutanze is federal line then you should negotiate connection for your area by tapping from them. I know Orlu LGA worked against Okorocha's reelection during the last poll. It was on record that Okorocha lost woefully in some parts of Orlu zone, this I'm aware of, but that shouldn't be a reason for Rochas to abandon his initial project he began in Orlu during his first tenure. South east states get the least federal allocations combined.

We cannot develop massive infrastructures with meager budgets. It's impossible.

The only option is to use private funding.

straight on whether Pope Francis denied the
existence of hell in an interview with a well-known
Italian journalist.
The controversy started when 93-year-old
journalist Eugenio Scalfari, the founder of La
Repubblica newspaper, publisheda report that he
asked Francis where “bad souls” end up going,
USA Today reported. Francis’ reply, according to
the journalist, was that those who repent could be
forgiven but those who do not, “disappear.”
The article, which ran on March 29, reported that
Francis said “hell does not exist.”
"They are not punished, those who repent obtain
the forgiveness of God and enter the rank of souls
who contemplate him, but those who do not
repent and cannot therefore be forgiven
disappear," Francis is quoted as saying. "There is
no hell, there is the disappearance of sinful
souls."
Scalfari, an atheist, does not usually use tape
recorders during interviews, The USA Today report
said. The Vatican said the story was the result of
the reporter’s “reconstruction.”
“What is reported by the author in today’s article
is the result of his reconstruction, in which the
literal words pronounced by the Pope are not
quoted,” the Vatican said. “No quotation of the
aforementioned article must therefore be
considered as a faithful transcription of the words
of the Holy Father.”
The Catholic News Agency reported that Scalfari
has “misrepresented” the pope in the past. The
agency reported that Scalfari “aslo falsely
reported that Pope Francis had made comments
denying the existence of hell in 2015.”
According to Catholic Church teachings, there is a
hell and it is for eternity.
“Immediately after death the souls of those who
die in a state of mortal sin descend into hell,
where they suffer the punishments of hell, 'eternal
fire.' The chief punishment of hell is eternal
separation from God, in whom alone man can
possess the life and happiness for which he was
created and for which he longs," according to
CNA.
In 2007, Pope Benedict XVI said hell “really exists
and it eternal, even if nobody talks about it much
any more.”
In 1999 Pope John Paul II declared that Heaven
was "neither an abstraction nor a physical place
in the clouds, but that fullness of communion with
God which is the goal of human life." Hell, by
contrast, was "the ultimate consequence of sin
itself ... Rather than a place, hell indicates the
state of those who freely and definitively separate
themselves from God, the source of all life and
joy."
