Malawian: msheeweeeewwwweeeww. okija, you should have just crossed the expressway and show us pictures of modakeke. in fact, just climb the pedestrian bridge and start snapping. grin grin grin grin yoruba village house noni
You know nothing of the environs of Ife. The last time i checked, there was a large construction project going on opposite the school. That area has Residential Estates, student hostels and modern residential buildings.

The few old school buildings you're hoping are still there have been destroyed during the Ife-Modakeke war and have been replaced with nice buildings. You'll hardly find such there now.....sorry.

Hey....I'm an Architect and i can tell you all with all confidence that "OAU is far more beautiful than UI".

I'v visited both schools "WELL" and i know they can't be compared. From the OAU drive-In that's 4 lanes, with street lights, curves and bends, hills and valleys, lush greenery and is over a Kilometer long.....to the school comin into view at the end of the road with that Imposing hill behind the school skyline.

That's even before you start talking of imposible looking buildings like the Amphi-theater, Archi-studio, Ajose lecture hall and that new Pyramid lookin building opposite computer building.

There's nothing like Zoning in UI. With all the buildings arranged haphazardly.

OAU was Zoned so that the academic areas are in the center, hostels to one end and Staff quarters on the other end.

There are 3 large hills within the OAU campus for chrissake....coupled with all those trees, roads with side-walks, landscaped buildings (you enter on the first floor and exit on the 2nd floor) and landscaping.

Abeg leave story.

Lasgidi State of mind. I rep Lagos.

Kudos to other individuals regardless of tribe making it happen in Naija's own Concrete Jungle.

Get that money and show some love.

Hmmm....@Okija juju's pics didn't do justice to the environment. It would have been better if he walked round taking the pics.

I remember how we used to race on Road 1 at night......clocking 160km/h in my friend's BMW 525 or racing from new-buka to the staff quarters after rounds of beer. The roads were soo good.
The toll has been a fraud from day one, and it's on record that Fashola is a party to this fraud.

Where on earth does one collect toll, without having an alternative route first?

.
There are free alternate routes.....They kept announcing them on Tv over and over again before they started collecting toll. They granted interviews to inform people.

I just finished a refurbishment project and we had to disconnect the LASG water supply (which supplys water 24hrs) in order to sink our own borehole.

The house i live in also has LASG water supply which we don't bother using since we have a borehole that supplys water.

Sufficient simulated test-runs should have been carried out on the tracks and locomotives used to ensure things like this are avoided.

Manifestos are simply a reflection of the problems a nation is experiencing it.

This proves that both parties know what the problem is......The question is..."Has PDP being able to effect it"??

Its funny some people think its those rowdy markets that determine the Economy of Lagos.

Anyway, I'm in the construction Industry and i hardly run into Igbos in it....Except its Chinese Sanitary fitting and tiles that are to be purchased.

And construction plays a major part of the Economy.

But when you talk of Automobile spare-parts,and Computers and their accessories.....they run those.

If you don't know what your problem is, how will you solve it??

True, positive things are happening in Nigeria as we speak but the points raised will continue to stain/slow down these achievements.

You are supposed to read the post, reflect, redefine yourself and move on with life.

For starters there are more important things to do on this forum than E-fighting over political affiliation and tribal bigotry. I'm out......I'll figure the rest out as i go.

Hey!!....Tonto Dike made front page again.

If there was a way this post could be summarized without affecting the key message, it deserves to be on FP. All Nigerians need to read this.

This is a neutral point of view and its also the truth. The truth is always bitter but its acceptance leads to improvement.

My Vicky: I agree with you. Because if not, how on earth could someone claim that serving God is the problem of nigeria?
I pay no mind to those kind of people. They either haven't read the Bible or aren't patient enough to understand it.

We are religious without being spiritual. We pay attention to the rituals of being Christians (Praying, going to church/night vigil) without following Biblical principles (Love, giving, kindness etc).

We now sit back and expect magical miracles to appear out of nowhere when we haven't even made a move to actualize it. When it doesn't happen, we now get angry and blame God and religion.

Elxandre: broke people dont buy super cars!
A bugatti is not a supercar, its a hypercar. Because you can afford a. Ferrari 458 Italia doesn't mean you can afford a Bugatti Veyron.

Examples of Hypercars are; Bugatti Veyron, Ferrari Enzo, Koenigsegg Aggera, Pagani Zonda, Pagani Huayra etc.

Their manufacturers would get angry if you refer to their products as supercars to their face.

Afam4eva: I live in Lagos, Ogba specifically.

Yes, Fashola cannot solve all the problems and i'm not expecting him to do so. Even the developed countries have a lot of problems too how much more Nigeria. My point is that Fashola can solve more problems with the money that accrues to Lagos. He has done well but can do more. Doing more does not mean doing everything.
I'll have to agree on that with you. He's doing fine and but truely, there's always room to do more.
Politics › Re: Lagos Vs New York: How Budgets Reflect Living Standards by ba7man(m): 4:07pm On Aug 22, 2013
Afam4eva: Does the Badagry expressway tranverse the length and breadth of Lagos? How long is the elevated train line? How many housing estates has Fashola's government built? I'm not saying Lagos has not tried but a lot of things still needs attention and i'm of the opinion that Lagos gets more allocation and income than it has been able to use.
Do u live in Lagos at all?? I doubt that. The sheer scale of dis-orderliness and congestion is immense, you won't know where to start if you were in the position to Govern it.

No matter how effective Fashola is, he can't solve all the problems associated with Lagos.
