never seen a lady so passionate bout politics though I think jonathan is just passive and allows corruption to go unchallenged while its parading in front of him....don't think he is very corrupt himself...
This is exactly my thought on G.E.J. He lacks "Charisma" which some people mistake as "Humility". (This explains why a lot of people disrespect him). He has a passive nature which some people mistake as being gentle. (This explains how he's able to keep quiet over raging issues desperately needing his authority to resolve) He also believes "Corruption" and "Development" can work together. |
Conclusion............They're all thieves. |
Can all these Countries just decide to hate Nigerians for no sane reason??.......I doubt that. When everyone starts saying the same thing about you, its time to check yourself. |
When Nigerians finally get an idea right, they price it out of the reach of the average person. If the indegenes invest in lots affordable hotels and provide activities that can interest tourists and visitors eg affordable nightclubs and recreation spots, shows, raves with guest artists all over town, people will definitely want to visit. If Las-Vegas could grow out of the desert sands, why can't Calabar do the same in a better climate. |
Alao-Akala remains a better Governor than Ajimobi. . . . . . . . . . . . . At least, he never inflated the costs of his bleaching creams or the roads and flyovers he never constructed. |
When a large and powerful system is to be destroyed, its always from within. Good example, Roman Empire. |
Malawian: no house need to be destroyed. they can either scrap the roap surface to a lower level or make the drainage very deep. havent you been to bode thomas street before? That makes sense if the area isn't swampy. I spoke like that because most of the road and drainage works i witnessed always involves filling till the road level is higher than existing buildings. Then the flooding of the buildings start. |
Wow!!! There's a lot of work to be done on that road to bring it up to standard. It still has to be filled further before its tarred and sidewalks constructed. Sadly, a lot of those houses have to be destroyed because of the road level and flooding. I guess every state's got their own black spots but this is bad. |
Abeg, who be "Eating Apple" again ooo |
@OP You better stick to what you know about and let sleeping dogs lie. The Ife and Modakeke people have tasted the dividends of peace and are smarter now. BTW, I think what's going on in PDP is a better topic to follow. |
Funny enough, that's what the Lagos skyline looks like at night............. when u're high on hard drugs. |
No doubt, South Africa leads in infrastructural development. Decades ahead of a lot of African Countries. Just wish our leaders would use S.A as a yard-stick for development rather than politiking and plotting on how to keep defrauding the nation. The few ones that have this vision are attacked constantly for trying to effect change. |
lygn19: If walmart has 2 go tru all dz tins to establish an outlet in d south west, dat means when Nigeria divides,we wud have millions of walmart outlets in d Niger delta,,,bcoz we hv more to offer dan u guysYeah.....you guys have a lot of kidnapping and millitancy to offer them..... |
Codedrock: oh.. My gosh... WHO ARE YOU?? Are you even nigerian? I guess you are from benin republic. Or some crappy country.Hey bro, honestly, that second pix isn't Lagos. We all know, just remove it and we can all get along. |
lygn19: Nigeria doesn't need oil to develop, is der smbodi stopping Nigeria from exploring oda sources of revenue...Yes, the FG. |
Still waiting for someone to answer my question. What is that this people bring to the table? Instead of them to address it, they've running around whining. SMH. Leeches needs to leave honestly. Buhari for president 2015. GEJ needs to lose so the nation can divide.
Dude, smarten up. There is more to the development of a nation than Oil and natural resources. What Natural resources does Japan have?? What of Switzerland?? There are manufacturing and Service based industries that generate large revenue. So its not until you sell Oil that a nation will progress....there are lots of Nations that don't have oil but are doing better than Nigeria. |
NTA not reporting the news doesn't stop PDP from being a party in crisis. |
Ikengawo: you fool, most of these people have been in Makoko for generation upon generation. When the interviewed many they said their grandparents lived there. What are you talking about? Do you think the people sent to Anambra were from Makoko? There is no where in igbo land where poverty is this stark and brutalMost of them are immigrants. Makoko has been there for a while now but it was more of a logging/fishing outpost. What else explains why it kept expanding at an alarming rate till it was almost under the bridge?? Did their kids rapidly grow and start building homes in a couple of years? |
^^^The view outside is ok, but inside the room leaves much to be desired.....looks like a budget hotel that ran out of money to buy carpets!
You really need to step up your interior design game. I'm sure you're not aware of the "Minimalist approach" to interior design. People don't clutter up spaces any longer. Those large windows with the view of V.I is enough to look at without over-crowding the room with distractions. Yeah, wall to wall carpets and rugs are also not in vogue any longer. Tiles/marble flooring with center carpets are what's trending. |
ujoinme: the administration has adopted the mantra of " build it and they will come".... and trust me they are still building, and in no distant time people will come. and they have already started coming.more people are visiting the state than they used to prior to 2007. and more people are aware of UYO now than before. The last thing i would want is it turning to an over-crowded location. They should try to retain that serene atmosphere. Having a country home in that region would be a very inviting idea. |
I once asked one of them and he said its to prevent violent suspects from turning their item of clothings into weapons to attack other inmates or to hang themselves in the case of suicide. |
ujoinme: Why are nigerians always reactive instead of proactive? where is the improvement in the state building codes/enforcement of the codes, that will ensure that builders are not allowed to erect unsafe buildings as is the case in saner societies? And who told you Building codes haven't been tightened in Lagos?? I can say it confidently that Lagos is one of the few states in Nigeria where strict building practices are highly enforced. I supervise construction projects in Lagos so i know what i experience regularly. Getting a permission to build is actually one of the hardest parts of a construction project now. These buildings being demolished were constructed in the 80's and 90's when the Military regime turned a blind eye to construction practices. Would you prefer they collapsed and killed people before they take action?? |
Why aren't people flocking to Akwa-Ibom yet ......Why aren't people flocking to Akwa-Ibom yet ....Why aren't people flocking to Akwa-Ibom ..... |
Its a prelude to....." Governors Taking care of their indigenes so that they don't wander off to Lagos or some other city to constitute a nuisance or social menace"...... Simple. |
agbameta: ^^^^^^^ He's ibo, that's his problem with the SW.That's still no excuse for him/her to always display his/her daftness with such alarming consistency. |
ngozievergreen: who knows? Are u ok The Op presents 6 pics on the first page, 2 are from the University, 4 are from the city.........What exactly is your problem with the SW?? |
solomon111: Well, since it's for public transportation i will congratulate him if he does it.He's bringing in the private sector to acomplish it. PPP is the future of development. |
24-26million Naira ?......What will the cost of the 2013 Range Rover now be?? Remember, Google is your friend. I hope this is the price for the V8 and not the V6. |
solomon111: Donald duke a PDP governor already blazed the trail in cable car transportation in Nigeria long ago without making it a fanfare.Don't be narrow minded. Cable cars as a means of "Public Transport" within a city.....not as a means of "Tourist attraction" in a remote mountain resort. There's a big difference. |
This is a school lying on its shadows.. ![]() So much hype for a glorified college.. Okija nwanne thank you for exposing these people once more. I owe you one bottle of Hero when next you hit Awka. ![]() They couldn't see through your sarcasm!
Keep quiet joooor. With your deluded, bigoted mind. Who told you @Okija Juju reasons in that primitive level of yours?? Can you even define "sacarsm"?? You heard it first on NL and you start using it excessively out of context. |
Dike Chimezie: Is my wish to see Imo,Enugu and co(All Igbo states) blossom like Lagos but not to d detriment of d latter.I was born in Lagos and to d best of my knowledge, the Yoruba man is accomodative. You are a true Lagosian. |
