Mr Aboki: YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!

Mr. Common Sense.. Its a Federal Government road, so lets leave it to continue reducing the population of Nigerians. grin Mr. Common Sense, If Lagos State government emulates the likes of Amaechi & Apkabio who build F.G roads in their state and collect the refunds from the government, Eko will Baje. Mr. Common Sense, Lets wait for eternity for the Federal Government in Abuja that has over 5000 roads Nationwide to think about to come fix this road for us, while more people die on that road by drowning. ARGH!! Mr Common Sense, now I get it.. If the road remains like this, its a win win for Lagosians, Every death = Aso-Ebi and Owambe, Every spoilt car = employmemnt for mechanics, Every stuck car = Money for touts, every dead person = one less mouth for LASG to worry about.. grin

I love your common Sense mr. common Sense. grin
So your definition of common sense is when the FG corners well over 50percent of Nigeria's generated income and shares the remaining over 36 states.

The states with their various responsibilities still have to help the FG fix the roads while the FG blocks their efforts without plans of fixing it.

Akwa-Ibom can comfortably fix Federal Roads because their population is barely 5million but they receive almost the highest allocation in Nigeria.

Lagos with a population almost 4 times that of Akwa-Ibom is still fixing Ikorodu Road and Badagry Expressway, Abandoned responsibilities of the FG and they still want to add more to it. Face it, FG is a failure.

You think you know the definition of "Common sense" but you truely don't.

My SW brothers, take heart, their plan is to slow down development in the west because they're ACN states and for other regions to catch up but its through pressure diamonds are made.

We will continue to lead them because we know pressure.
Politics › Re: Agony On Shagamu-ogijo mosinmi-ikorodu Road by ba7man(m): 10:30am On Aug 07, 2013
This road is a reflection of the failures of the Federal Government to their responsibilities.

If the State Governments come together to fix it, the FG will try to scuttle their attempt and some people will scream that they're politicizing it and they should face fixing feeder roads instead.

Its classic "Pull him down syndrom" of the blackman (Why else do you think its people from other regions that are supporting this??). But its also through difficulties that sucess is made.

Its these difficulties caused by the FG that has resulted in the Southwest being the most innovative and progressive.

Iykopee: Mister goofy, u guys make NL stink of ethnicity and hatred. Ur broda wants to justify the action of his governor by roping amaechi in... U sounded like a derailed baaing goat. Come to Rivers state and see for urself the very tribe that constitutes large proportion of the beggars...u must be a preposterous dolt.
Damn, I'm sure you're probably feeling cool with yourself that you're good at insulting people.

Its an evidence of child-abuse and bad upbringing. You must have grown up in an abusive environment where the people around you traded insults regularly and once in a while insulted and smacked you around.

I feel pity for you. Your sad life is on display for the world to see.

.....See as i passed my point without insults??

25Calibre: Well you may not notice you are bragging, that's what I think is happening in this case.

Based on some of the things iv read from you, as well as your answers during the contest, its obvious you have an inflated sense of self worth, maybe because where you live, you have guys running into each other just to please you.

Coming here to tell us that a guy was fidgeting upon meeting you, why? Are you mike tyson?

Please consider doing something about that delusion, seek some help.
Why the unecessary attack on @ Lupey??There's nothing wrong in what she said oga. Should she lie about the situation and say what didn't happen??

I'm begining to suspect that something similar to what happened to those her toasters has happened to you before....either you've used the "Aspire, require, pespire..... Lines before and it back-fired on you or you normally fidget when talking to girls.

omonuan: Your assertion is called the fallacy of "tu quoque." In Nigerian parlance, it is called "you nko?" It is also known as pot calling kettle black argument. This is a red herring in which you use ad hominem attack to justify your atrocious behavior. According to you, it is okay for Fashola to deport sorry, I mean reunite e em "destitute" with their family at Onitsha head bridge at 4 am because other governors have done it and he he has done it to others too,

My friend your logic is absurd. No Nigerian should be deported or forcibly "reunited " with their family against their wish. There is no justifiable reason why any Nigerian "destitute"or rich should be abducted and forcibly relocated to wherever. It does not matter your tribe and no matter how you look at it, Fashola's conduct is not only unconstitutional, it is also morally reprehensible.

Did Fashola have tribal animus when he deported his "destitute?" I doubt it! I believe that Fashola's motive is more bougousie than anything else. He does not want poor people in Lagos therefore being a destitute is now a criminal act. He should be ashamed of himself for declaring a class war in Lagos which has now led to tribal war online.

Okay folks we are entering a slippery slope. Lets see how this is gonna end up. Today it is the "destitute," yesterday it was the "Fulani herdsmen" in Delta. Who is next? Lets see how this will play out! The fact is that with what is going on, any Nigerian could be abducted, labelled and deported. Those who are applauding this type of nonsensical action especially the Yoruba should be careful what they ask for because they may get it.
Senator Patrick Obahiagbon's younger brother, If you can't explain it simple enough, you don't understand what you're talking about.

Gbawe: Buddy, you are only angling to fight yourself, because of unrequited issues, as your posts show you so much want to do. You clearly have many frustrating issues you are carrying around and now feel you have gained the chance to 'unburden'.

It would be terribly ungracious of me to attempt disturbing such personalised and over-the-top pent-up frustration against others on a faceless blog. Carry on with the childish antics.
Let him be, its obvious that you're mentally above him.

Politics › Re: Rivers Sends Its Destitute To Home States, Plans Another by ba7man(m): 10:37am On Aug 06, 2013
This relocation of destitutes to their States of Origin has been on-going for long in other States but when Fashola carried it out, some people got emotional and cried foul over it(Most likely due to immaturity, hate, ignorance, st0pidity and Cheap Political shots).

This has led to the opening of can of worms of different states that have carried out this same move.

The only thing they now have to hold on to is "They were dropped off at 3am in the morning".

We now know who's been st0pid all along.

This has always been my beef with President Jonathan. He commences on projects to fix the economy without fixing the leaking basket of the Nation.

He practically ignores oil theft, high level of corruption and the over bloated, over paid and ineffective Government cabinet which we run in this country.

This is the foundation of our problems in this country.

God forbids someone kills your family member and someone on the scene starts rejoicing. Because you have an opinion doesn't mean you should always air it.

Are you actually trying to justify his rejoicing of the killing of innocent people??

Those children were starved, tortured, and kept in concentration camps....It was terrible.

They were looking so malnourished, wearing tattered clothes, and some could hardly stand. I think some of them died too.

Maybe i should open a thread with title; "HOW CHILDREN WERE TORTURED IN ANAMBRA CONCENTRATION CAMPS IN 2011".

You're so right, the Presidency specifically told those companies to open up shop in Ogun State and gave them land to operate on.

The market population and ports aren't far off and Ogun isn't as Congested as Lagos.....So its only right that's the next destination for investments.

Lagos State hasn't finished solving the agbero problems and youruba destitutes, other regions are adding theirs to it......Nonsense, re-unite them with their families once they're not useful.

You all better ask your Governors to take care of your people to stop them from trooping to Lagos and wandering the streets like Zombies.

I normally used to think i was communicating with intelligent people but as someone pointed out above, the intelligence of a majority of the posters on this site is no better than the Okada men and jobless guys that argue all day at Newspaper stands after drinking sepe.
Politics › Re: How Can Anambra Leverage This ''Sea-side'' Spectacle For Economic Development? by ba7man(m): 6:16am On Aug 04, 2013
Any waterfront is a prime land for development. Humankind has always been drawn to the beauty and resource in water.

Onitsha is not on the sea but it is on river and this body of water is River Niger; you want to promote it as a "river front", and not anything else.

Some opportunities

First and foremost, the city must issue a land zoning ordinance to create a public all-access water/land use space.

Second, they should map out a 5mile stretch of the river front for zoned development.

1. Fortify the entire city shoreline with a concrete embankment that stands no more than 6feet above the tidal level.

2. Erect piers and ramps at intervals along the reinforced shoreline.

3. Build a right of way boulevard that runs no more than 4miles the length of the riverfront, with a half mile buffer on the North and South end of it.

4. The boulevard should have sitting benches innermost to the river, then walkway, followed by bike paths, next is time-metered parking (allowing for no longer than 30mins parking), then last layer on the boulevard is a roadway (a one lane, one way access).

5. Beyond the boulevard should be building structures and retail space, so that what separates the structures from the river is the multi-purpose boulevard.

6. The City must erect a non-age restrictive Arcade with multi purpose catering and entertainment and plazas ( eateries, fashion, grooming, cinemas, telecomm, etc...)

7. The zoned land should be heavily taxed and offered in open bid for private investors.

8. The zone must have a catchy name like "Niger RiverFront Business District" or something similar. Please, do not use Biafra!

9. Organize weekly events with private sponsorships, make it family friendly. Example: a karaoke sing along to local music; a cooking competition to see who is best in local cuisine.
Shut the roadway on weekends that the events will hold so the events are actually staged on the road surface.

10. Hire me as consultant. grin
Wonderful idea.....I just hope the whole water front is currently empty because you have to realize the amount of destruction, compensation and relocation of properties and people that will take place before work can effectively commence.

People will protest, legal actions will be filed against the Government embarking on the project and they would be termed "Anti-people".....Now that's just a taste of what Fashola is going through on the construction of Badagry expressway alone.
Politics › Re: OUK Magnificent Mansion In Abia State PICTURES by ba7man(m): 11:05pm On Aug 03, 2013
Very large, expensive ugly building. With all the money available, no taste to back it up.

Even the nice pics the @op sneaked in are from buildings in Dubai.

The approach elevation is terrible. Very few windows and so much blank walls. The house has no character.

I know this b'cos i design buildings for a living. You don't need all the money in the world for your house to look good.

Most of these rich Nigerians lack taste, have you seen Adenuga's Banana Island mansion?? Terrible looking despite all the money spent on it.

I seriously wish i could be invited to remodel that building, I can imagine what I'll do to it.
Politics › Re: Former Governor Orji Kalu's 400 Bedroom Mansion In His Village by ba7man(m): 8:24pm On Aug 03, 2013
Sorry, but with all the money, the building lacks character. Very boring design despite its size, the approach elevation consist of mostly blank walls.

With all the money available, i expected that large hall to be serviced by a central cooling duct system not fans and that living room has being spoilt by those columns(pillars) running down the middle. Couldn't the Architect have spanned it without including them??

The landscaping is nice tho.

If you watch "A-list listings" on E-Channel, you'll know the true definition of grand buildings.

Obiagu1: I didn't want to say it was OK to arrest those area boys because you'd say I support it because they are Yorubas.
Everyone knows they are trouble makers and shouldn't be on the streets.
There's a big difference between an area boy and a petty trader. If Fashola is serious about hawking, then I doubt there will be many of them walking around. He was even amazed by how skillful they are.

The fact is, he either not properly supervising those tasked with cleaning up Lagos streets and allowing the likes of Eko-ile to carry on their own agenda or he is in support of it.

Where would we get the face to tell Keynans they were wrong for deporting a Nigeria in a chartered flight while our government dumped her own citizens in a no man's land at 3 AM many of them kids?
On the same day that thread was opened about people being picked up for hawking, I still bought stuffs in a hold-up at Ojota from hawkers and K.A.I were present(they wear green). Someone is obviously trying to blow the situation out of propotion.
Politics › Re: Fashola should be charged with kidnapping. by ba7man(m): 5:30pm On Aug 03, 2013
Obiagu1: If area boys were removed from the streets and sent for rehabilitation, it's still not right to remove them unless they commit a crime or they are destitute.
It's bad when a girl who has a place of work gets kidnapped just because she was chatting with someone on the street?
All the little kids, boys and girls in that picture, do they look like area boys?
He left families suffering for 6 - 8 months without knowing their loved ones whereabout. Who does that?
would it be better if the little boys and girls are left at the mercies of the harsh lagos environment, easy prey for ritualists, rapists, killers, crime, prostitution??

Also, i don't think you know much about area-boys and how dangerous they are. You want them to wait till they rob and kill someone b4 they are picked up?? Do you know some areas were no-go areas due to their activities but now the streets are safer. Lagos is a different ball game from cities in the east.

Also, don't believe everything you read. Lies have definitely been added to the story to paint LASG worse than the real situation is. This is Nigeria so expect things like that.

Obiagu1: Why shouldn't we? Was any Yoruba kidnapped on the street of Lagos by the government? Only Igbos were kidnapped.
Fashola started with beggars and returned them to their states.

Now he is done with beggars, majority of them Yoruba, he has turned to Igbos and because we have no beggars, he is kidnapping people in broad daylight, incarcerate them without trial, and dump them in no man's land by 3 AM.

What's motivating him if not tribalism and pure hate? For once in your life, say the truth!
And you people will be in the church clapping and singing to your 'satan' because I doubt you guys actually worship the same God I worship.
You don't know the truth and you accuse another of the same. SMH. Do you know thousands of area boys that where forcefully taken from the streets and their homes to rehabillitation centers?? If you don't know, ask. Don't get all emotional over lies.
