oremisussan: Now that was very "dull" of me. I apologize.
I think the Governor is working but typical of a Nigerian politician, in the name of consolidating on first term achievements, they just don't hit that note in their second term.
Once again, I apologize.
Correct guy. We're on the same page.
Dummy tracks? Choi! LWKMD grin grin grin

This ACN goons and their propaganda sef. The man knows that real tracks are not likely to be laid under his administration, that's why he is commissioning dummy tracks to once again fool the ngbatis. American wonder!!!
You will choke on your own vomit right here on Nairaland when the project is completed well b4 2015. Lagos is moving faster than Nigeria can comprehend. Wait, which one do u think is harder to do?? The construction of the elevated platform that carries the rail or laying of tracks?? At this rate, sections will be operational b4 this year runs out.

oremisussan: That you don't seem to see what the Governor is doing shouldn't be anyone's headache. But it raises so much concern when you say these pics you and I are seeing have entered and come out of photoshop.
Receive your sight in Jesus Name
On the contrary, it raises my own concern to know that you can't detect the whiff of "sacarsm" in my post.

Google it out if you really need a list of Fashola's achievments. I'v noticed that its always the same set of people that ask this question....Why is it of so much concern to you?? I'll soon open a thread and list your names in it.

15 billion dollars is a lot of money. There should be far more on ground than what is.

Politics › Re: Fashola Writes FG On Condition Of Oshodi-apapa Expressway by ba7man(m): 3:24pm On Jan 07, 2013
It seems some people think this road is a 2lane express road. FYI, its a six lane express way that includes 2 2'lane service roads parallel to it. Total of 10 lanes.....running from Apapa to Oshodi....If you know the distance.
Politics › Re: Fashola Writes FG On Condition Of Oshodi-apapa Expressway by ba7man(m): 2:44pm On Jan 07, 2013
dabrake: Let's imagine the road is in a deplorable state, can't fashola repair it himself? He should learn from akpabio who rehabilitated most federal government oriented projects like roads, the university because 'it is a federal road but the majority of people affected are the akwa ibom indigenes. The university is a federal Government institution but 80% of her students are from akwa ibom. . .'
fashola should stop playing stupeeed politics here and fix that road irrespective of its level(whether state or federal) because those affected will be lagosians, that is if gej didn't really work on that road. Lagos state, as far as I am concerned, is the richest state in the country and also with the smallest landmass. If brf can't fix that little challenge, I will be forced to ask what he's doing with tax payer's money. If amaechi, oshiohmole and akpabio can do it, why not brf?
I don't think you've seen this road we're talking about, that's why you can say this. And this is also the most important rd in Nigeria. Ikorodu road was once under FG but Lagos took over its repairs and rehabilitation, how long will Lagos state babysit the FG?? And you refuse to ask about what they do with all the monies borrowed and generated in this county.

Politics › Re: If You Were President, How Much Would You Steal? by ba7man(m): 12:31am On Jan 07, 2013
Stealing isn't really an intelligent option for a leader. I would rather use my position as President to award Contracts to Companies i have stakes in (What's d point being. President and not flexing your muscles a bit). Execution of these contracts must be enforced though.....Its like paying myself to fix my Country.....and I'll own Oil Blocks. Why steal?? And we keep screaming that our leaders steal. That makes us hypocrites, righthuh

They're probably Okada riders and he's seized their bikes. On a more serious note, you'll notice that its d same names that keep re-occuring whenever he's being criticized and no matter Fashola's efforts u post in pix, they'll say they haven't seen anything, same with providing them with answers.

Politics › Re: What Is Lagos Doing With Its Subsidy Removal Fund? by ba7man(m):
Tinubu might get a percentage for every contract awarded in Lagos( I don't have proof, its still all based on speculations) but he uses it to set-up biznesses that employ people. Its not the right thing to do but its still miles better than the Governors and politicians that smuggle their stolen wealth out into foreign accounts without considering their people's plight.....if Nigeria is the Kingdom of the blind, Fashola is one eyed......but he's still seeing ahead.
Politics › Re: What Is Lagos Doing With Its Subsidy Removal Fund? by ba7man(m): 9:03am On Jan 04, 2013
We keep saying "Fashola is anti poor" but let's reason this out................(1) When the Bdagry expressway is completed, everybody that has a property by that road or locations around that area should give thanks b'cos the value of the lands they probably bought N600,000 will skyrocket into millions.........(2) He destroyed Tejuosho market and reconstructed it, the poor might not be able to afford it but the rich man/woman that buys a shop there has to employ people and they won't be the rich. The security guards, the people in charge of maintainance etc. The shop owners can now be liable to be taxed so its a Win-Win situation.........(3) He has completed various housing estates, yes,the poor can't afford it but you don't have to pay at once. Instead of buying a brand new car, you can put a down payment on a flat and pay-up in a couple of years(You don't pay all at once, there's a payment plan)........(4) Eko Atlantic city might not be for the poor but it will attract investors and guess who they'll be employing...Frankly, I don't think you should be in Lagos if you're Uneducated or Unskilled.

.....Hey, pls who has information on the rubbish dump at Ojota?? Its currently being sand filled...Heard an estate is to be constructed on it. Don't know how true this is. Innovation...synonymous with the Fashola Administration though.
Politics › Re: What Is Lagos Doing With Its Subsidy Removal Fund? by ba7man(m): 7:17am On Jan 04, 2013
Funny how some people think N300million a month can create visible effects in a state as concentrated as Lagos....Its not a small town with 1 or 2 new fly-overs you know. That's less than $2million.
Politics › Re: What Is Lagos Doing With Its Subsidy Removal Fund? by ba7man(m):
Its been invested in the EKO ATLANTIC CITY project. The biggest and most ambitious project currently on-going in Nigeria, west Africa and Probably Africa (Not sayin exactly but this project alone will swallow dat amount with ease without anyone noticing). I wish states that earn more could embark on projects of similar scale aand ingenuity (it doesn't mean they should all create their own sand filled cities though, they should get creative). The Niger-Delta area should be like Dubai.....save for their present and past leaders. Instead of questioning Fashola....Question them, just the EKO ATLANTIC project alone makes Akpabio look like a Learner....minus the BADAGRY EXPRESS, the numerous LSDPC HOUSING ESTATES being constructed ( If anyone dare says they're only on paper, I'll visit the sites myself nd take pics), the IKORODU ROAD EXPANSION....etc.....you all better focus your attention on the right priorities or else you'll wake up one day and Lagos has b'com a seccessionist state...Leaving Nigeria behind. I wrote the projects in capital letters, just so that som1 won't come and say "he's not seen any ongoing project". BTW, Jonathan is really trying on this light issue....Its been a while I'v experienced those black-outs like before, He might be slow but give him credit for that.

Politics › Re: Fashola Earmarks N100b For Roads by ba7man(m): 2:46pm On Jan 03, 2013
The Badagry express road and Eko Atlantic city are currently the biggest and most ambitious projects under construction in Nigeria at the moment. Give Fashola some credit for his vision, of course project costs will be inflated b'cos of the Nigerian system but at least he's working. This is not a propaganda, the projects are there to be seen....I wasn't really interested in them myself till i saw the scale of demolition for the expressway and the sand filled ocean parallel to Bar beach. Can any governor in Nigeria fathom sand filling an ocean?? (Pouring sand in an ocean till it rises out). The last time i saw that was on "Extreme Engineering" on Discovery Channel on the construction of the "World Islands" and "Palm Islands" in the UAE.

thelastPope: 70 billion for ongoing roads that we cant see? SMH! Lagos state and Fashola are presiding over the biggest fraud in the country currently! Sad!
Are u blind not to know that it includes the Badagry express complete with the planned rail system, the expansion of the Ikorodu express way. These projects are at least 6 lanes so I'm still wondering how u missed them. It must confirm your blindness.

These are the types of comment you're expected to make.....Not...."The ones in Brooklyn are better". Come up with ideas to improve things not condemn and compare. Do u know how intelligent u now sound with this short comment you made? Its a very good idea b'cos the landscaping will serve as a buffer to the dust carrying winds, there-by reducing the dusty appearance of some of the roads.
