I watched this interview on TV and was impressed with his points. I wonder how GEJ would have answered those questions if he were in Fashola's shoes. |
naptu2: It's clear that he's just making up stuff because he wants to paint the LASG bad. He's not really interested in transparency.True, The Poster Might Deny It But Deep Down Inside Him, He Knows Trying To Paint LASG Bad Is His Primary Motive. He Started With Questions Like "WHAT IS FASHOLA DOING IN LAGOS??". He Got Pics And Links To Answer His Question But He Kept Saying "I'm Not Seeing Anything". He Followed Up Later Asking "WHAT IS LAGOS DOING WITH ITS MONTHLY SUBSIDY FUNDS??". Asking What a State That Receives Over 20 billion Naira a Month What It Does With 200 Million Naira?? Does He Think Lagos Is a Village??. Now He's Asking " WHAT IS LAGOS STATE'S FOOD ALLOWANCE??". Meanwhile He Stays In Enugu And Is So Obsessed With Lagos. Does He Realize How Many Badly Run States He's Attention Flew Over To Start Poking Lagos??...BTW, I Noticed He Went Cold When The Light-Rail Project Was Put Up and Switched To Complaining That " ACN Trolls Were Spamming Up NL With Excessive Posts". He's Probably Got "Obsessive Lagos Compulsive Disorder". |
To all the ACN trolls online, I'm asking....What was Budgeted by the Lagos State Govt For Grooming In 2013?? At Least, We Know Fashola Buys Skin Cream (Its Harmattan), Toothpaste, Cuts His Hair, Buys Boxer Shorts etc. We Need Transparency In Nigeria So All These Information Has To Be Shared Knowledge. Am i not right?? Sincere Nigerian. |
How bout this school of thot...What if evolution was actually God's way of fine-tuning his creations to their current state?? At least i belive humans and animals didn't magically appear on Earth. So i can say that human beings might hav existed b4 Adam and Eve but they were the first to have the spirit of God in them. Also, a day in the sight of God can be a Thousand in the sight of man so that explains a lot of things. |
@ OP. See...I told you to stick to informing us of GEJ's progress but u just had to keep bothering yourself about Lagos. Do you really reside in Enugu?? If you do, you have bigger priorities to be concerned about. |
@ OP. What's your obsession with Lagos State??...Why don't you stick to creating threads on Jonathan's acheivements...you were begining to appear reasonable with the "Nigerian Railway revival" thread until i came across this one. |
Corruption, corruption, corruption. Corruption is not Nigeria's problem, all governments are corrupt at some level especially the more diverse ones like Nigeria. It is the private sector that pushes an economy, usually people in the private sector do the bribing to help their company grow which in turn helps the public because the industry develops and jobs are created by these elite bosses, its not fair but the country still grows, Nigeria's problem is that the federal government collects all the money and then shares it among the states, we are subsidizing our states, mine is yours and yours is mine(socialism). We all know how that model worked for the soviet union, it collapsed and do you know that the american democrats did not choose Franklin D. Roosevelt? They chose Newton D. Baker, insider deals and secret arrangements are how Roosevelt became president. Nigeria's problem is that it the system of government is made for an ant colony, it requires that everybody do their job diligently and perfectly, it is an everybody wins or everybody loses system(communism), America being very diverse like us adopted albeit for different reasons a more loose system of government and more gifted people are allowed to shine, subsequently they make everyone around them better, we are not all like Germans were everything is efficiently, masterfully and diligently done especially now that we have developed a culture for cheapness and easy things. Free the states from depending on one another, Lagos will boom and it will spread to the surrounding states, Kogi will be able to grow if we ever get Ajaokuta steel mill working. Nigeria's problem is that the has put a leash on the country and tied us all together, we are only as strong as out weakest link and the federal government guarantees that there are many weak links.
The "corruption" I'm refering to is the one in which a public official inflates monies used for (eg) infrastructural development and embezzles it or allocating those large amounts to run their bloated cabinets. The monies generated by the Fg should go into infrastructural development and provision of loans to fuel a middle class. We also have our parts to pay b'cos if the money is made available to aspiring biznessmen, what's d guarantee that they won't deliberately default?? |
Despite all the corruption goin on around Jonathan, he seems to be working. At least NEPA has stepped up their game and the NRC is under-going a revival. If he can take decisive steps towards curbing corruption (eg Empowering EFCC to sucessfully carry out few high profile prosecutions)....who knows?? |

Don't even know why everyone's getting panicky.....If boko-haram is truely political, the Nigerian Government will sit-up or put a quick end to it. They need the threat of drone attacks to make them realize that they're biting more than they can chew.....If its not political, they(Boko-Haram) will know that their convoys smuggling weapons into Nigeria through our porous Northern borders aren't safe anymore. Either way, Boko-Haram will realize that it isn't bizness as usual again. |
cheddarking: Wow...But its ok when Boko-Haram bombs Nigerians and the rest of us fold our arms and watch....or the FG sends the JTF to kill more innocent citizens?? We clearly aren't capable of handling the situation so outside help is welcomed. |
Capnd143: ba7man am very sorry to say this; it seems you have strong unaffinity for reading, because if you had some levels of sane simple human thinking faculty then you would understand that the article above is anticipating killing of civillians!(which includes you) And diverging 4rm military target and objectives principles to employing all possibles "modus operandi" to eliminate targets.Well, our inability to handle the situation brought us to where we are......as if civillians aren't dying in large numbers already. I really don't care about drones and American intervention( I typed my first post with a bored look on my face)....but if it will make certain people realize that they've attracted unwanted attention...so be it. |
*Dancing Alingo*....The drones are commin!!!...Finally!!!! |
CAMEROONPRIDE: naa who is this and what does he sing? He's a rapper/singer....sounds like Drake. Very good at what he does. |
@CAMEROON PRIDE. Do u know any Cameroonian artist by the name "Gee-Reign"??...That guy is one of the best African musicians I'v heard.....or are u "Gee-Reign"?? |
redsun: You have already answered your question-mother nature. It is by chance and it is a supreme force.O.K...True. Some call that supreme force "Mother Nature" and others call it "God"....but do you think its possible Mother Nature create the universal laws of the universe by chance alone?? |
Everything man prides himself on was gotten from the Earth and will return back to the Earth. Your Bentley?? Metal, rubber, fuel, leather will all return back to the Earth. Your house??....That private jet??...You name it. They have always been locked in the ground and it required knowledge to acquire it. Even Man will eventually return back to the Earth so what was occupying that body when it was alive?? Electrical signals that happened to be your conciousness??...If you think deep you'll realize there's a creator. If the moon slows down a tiny fraction of its revolution speed round the Earth, the moon pulled towards it and it will crash into the Earth, if it accelerates a tiny fraction, its pulled out of its orbit and lost in space. Both actions mean the distruction of the Earth. Now, what set that perfect speed for the orbit?? By chance??..Day and Night, By chance?? |
I still wonder how some people can look at the complexity of creation and still doubt the existence of a supreme being. All mankind has invented got its inspiration from nature, name it....Camera(human eye), plane(birds)....If u wish to invent somthing new, just study nature. Science to me tries to explain God's way of doing things. What triggered the big bang?? These chemical reactions and knowledge science reveals have always been there waiting for someone to discover it. Now who put it there?? |
I hope they try to start something silly so that the police tear-gas their sorry asses on ring-road that Feb 2. I hope the op will be amongst the protesters, won't be a bad idea. |
thelastPope: Ha! You must live in diaspora! Orile to Mile 2 is a walkable distance. it ia at most, jibowu to palmgrove or slightly after palmgrove. It is 30 naira by bus, N50 peak period, so you can figure it out from that. Jibowu to ketu is 100 by bus even BRT.Anyone that attempts that walk from mile-2 to Orile is a confirmed sufferhead. Its supposed to be a short drive but it can take as long as 30mins or more due to traffic jam. This rail project is supposed to ease the pressure off the road. |
berem: ^^^do alaba boys know what ozone(O3) layer is talkless of most nigerians? as long as it doesn't kill,no wahala.we go buy am no ni.Ignorance is no excuse. It doesn't kill but it destroys our environment.....we need to become more global in our thot patterns and actions if we truely want to improve dis country. |
berem: so fairly used electronics have become toxic wastes? meanwhile loads of containers of the so called toxic wastes find their way into Alaba? infact i bought a toxic waste pressing iron and DVD for 1000naira and 800naira respectively and they are both working fine.GOD PUNISH POVERTY!A lot of old Airconditioners and refridgerators contain Chloro-floro-carbon gas which is dangerous to the ozone layer. Those specs have been outlawed in foreign countries so Nigerians now seize on it as an opportunity to purchase it cheap or free and import it into Nigeria. |
van bonattel: Because Igbos do importation and every other tribe wants to stop them, they are ready to give Nigeria a bad name by screaming toxic waste even though importation of old computer and fridges had always been a steady business. Its true, Igbo bizness men import a lot of toxic juunk into this country. I once followed a friend to clear a container belonging to an Igbo client and during inspection, behold the undeclared used TV,refidgerators, ac's he included amongst the auto spare parts he declared. It caused a lot of trouble and you can all guess what happened. My friend stopped being a clearing agent afterwards. |
You have to care. Honestly. You said you want result from your leaders but you are not willing to put some one there, how will you get the result you want. From the way that incident finally played out, I know that the days when the SW stays in opposition and still benefits are finally over. A time will come when they will want the presidency once again, I wonder how they will get it from opposition, that if they don’t start to cry “Marginalization” before then.
That's tribal politics you're refering to over there. I don't care if a yoruba, Hausa, Igbo, PDP, ACN, CPC etc heads this country but as long as he's credible. When OBJ was in power, you can see how bad the SW had it....Proof that your tribesman in power doesn't automatically transform to progress. Those crying "Marginalization" are just missing out on hand-outs from the FG. |
Sincere 9gerian: Aren't you ashamed of your hypocritical show of shame on this forum? It is unfortunate that rather than bow your heads in shame, some of you still have the audacity to spew rubbish. Is it really true that you stay in Enugu?? Where are you located?? |
It seems the OP has forgotten about the Lucky Igbinedion era in Edo state. My Edo peeps, I sure say una neva forget wetin Lucky Igbinedion do una for him time. |
Nigeria isn't working and Ghana still can't measure up economically with Lagos.....Now think if Nigeria gets her game together. |
@ OP. Don't get excited and wet your pants yet. Nigeria has one thing Ghana will never have....unless u guys breed like Rats for the next 30years. A LARGE POPULATION!!!!!!. If 10 percent of the Nigerian popultion pay for an investor's service or product, that investor is made for life. Can't say the same for Ghana, your population is still too scanty to attract real returns. Nigeria has a far larger upper class, middle class and sadly...lower class(but they still have some purchasing power) than Ghana. We hav states richer than Ghana so what are u talking about?? |
@ realsammie WE DON HEAR!!!!!... |
Closetoheart: I love sex, can I turn it into a career? You will make a fine P0rnstar...All the best. |
