yorke: Rubbish! Bundle of nuisance. Are those not the Lagos tout Tinubu or Fashola exported to Edo state to foment trouble had the judgement been the other way round.
From observation, I have noticed "Fashola" and "Tonto Dike" are the two most mentioned names on NL.
Politics › Re: That Same Train Of Tuesday Now Sitting Idle (PICS) by ba7man(m): 4:19pm On Jan 11, 2013
I wonder if the OP was expecting the train to continue moving up and down the dummy track all day and night.
Music/Radio › Re: Maxwell Is Coming To Nigeria This Valentine by ba7man(m):
Maxwell??....I have all his albums except the last one. That guy sings on another level. I'm sure the people that don't know him are the ones that go crazy when they hear "Take Banana till you go yo...!!!" and silly songs like such. WARNING: If your blood dey hot, Maxwell is not for you. My favourite songs of his are; Whenever wherever whatever, This Woman's work, Drown deep, Lifetime.
Politics › Re: is Southwest really Irrelevant In Nigerian Politics? by ba7man(m): 6:35am On Jan 11, 2013
bilms: Your point is really noted. So in your opinion,do you think we are getting result from the leaders,if yes, how?
A white folk once commented in a write-up i read once online that "He wondered what all the fuss was about Fashola until he thot deeper and realized that Nigerians have been so starved of a working Government, they'd appreciate anyone that makes an effort". No, we're still not getting the required results we truely deserve but at least, of recent, I'v noticed a trend of our leaders making an effort to appear busy....its a start and we'll get there by God's grace.
Politics › Re: is Southwest really Irrelevant In Nigerian Politics? by ba7man(m): 6:03am On Jan 11, 2013
bilms: The issue in discus is not about party. If the pdp truly want the pdp rep as speaker, acn as no say,and there is nothing the acn can do to prevent. Even the choice of sw as speaker was not supportd within pdp.
Frankly, the Southwest is irrelevant in Nigerian(PDP) politics and we(The people) don't care. When they were "relevant", things were worse off for us. If a South-western President can with-hold Lagos's monthly allocation, who cares about a SW speaker?? We're not concerned about holding Political posts but getting results from our leaders.
Politics › Re: N'Delta Elders Wont Support Jonathan In 2015 If He Fails To Improve The Region by ba7man(m): 5:27pm On Jan 10, 2013
I'm not a fan of GEJ but what about the money their Governors receive monthly as Oil producing states?? Isn't that supposed to be directed at improving their region??

Politics › Re: is Southwest really Irrelevant In Nigerian Politics? by ba7man(m): 9:25am On Jan 10, 2013
I belive at this rate, if there's a break-up of the Country, we're(The Southwest) good to go.
Politics › Re: is Southwest really Irrelevant In Nigerian Politics? by ba7man(m): 6:02am On Jan 10, 2013
That's b'cos the Southwest chose to embrace ACN and LP and ignore PDP that happens to be the ruling party. This has resulted in the PDP southwest politicians to loose their influence due to their inability to deliver. This has been a blessing in disguise b'cos it has forced the SW to think for themselves.

Why don't they just simply verify the Doctor's claim and if true start supporting him right away. They had better claim him b4 one American University whisks him away.

Politics › Re: Lagos Light Rail Will Be Ready In June – Fashola by ba7man(m): 11:45am On Jan 09, 2013
This is my point to all those that this project leaves a "bitter taste" in their mouths. "I don't blame you guys, its due to how politics has been tied to everything in this country for so long, you can't even recognize a project that is beneficial to the populace. God save this country from your kind. Amen.
Politics › Re: Lagos Light Rail Will Be Ready In June – Fashola by ba7man(m): 11:40am On Jan 09, 2013
thelastPope: What are you yapping about? You just laid a track yesterday and you want a round of applause? Are you a spoilt thrid grade kid? Finish your job before you can earn the right to make noise. What you have is an ongoing project. You are not different from any other FG or state government out there.
Yes an on-going project but one of the most ambitious in this country right now. So u don't consider the Concrete support to carry the elevated track work?? Or the train station already in place?? Laying of tracks is the least of work to be done. The difference between me and u is this; I look at the project and I'm happy b'cos of the number of lives it will touch positively(effective transportation of goods, services, people, appreciation of property value(even though I don't own property in that axis))....But all u see is Propaganda and politics. Man, it must be horrible being you.
Politics › Re: Lagos Light Rail Will Be Ready In June – Fashola by ba7man(m): 11:15am On Jan 09, 2013
I don't know what they want again. They said they haven't seen anything Fashola is doin and they provide them with progress on just d rail. Suddenly they say its too much. What if they provided info on Eko-Atlantic and all his other on-going and completed projects, I wonder what they'll say.

cheesy wow!! Just that short exercise in sarcarstic commenting really seperated the "boys" from the "men" in the ability to reason. No wonder there are a lot of arguements on NL. Damn!!
Politics › Re: Lagos Light Rail Will Be Ready In June – Fashola by ba7man(m): 9:59am On Jan 09, 2013
thelastPope: This is the reason why people will continue to call all you ACN sychophants out. The level of propaganda you do is just shameful. While the rail project is a good project, the fact that you bring out one new thread every time half a meter of track is laid is just hillarious. The Abuja city light rail project has passed 50% completion with no noise or fanfare. If the abuja guys were doing the same propaganda as you ACN guys, NL will be filled with such stories by now. Orile-mile 2 is just 4 minutes drive by road. How is that a great achievement by train? Let the project continue and when it is done and Lagosians can enjoy it, then you can come here and spam us with your posts. For now, keep the spam down and stop announcing to us every track that is being laid. Remember this is the standard you all always demand from the FG. If the FG where announcing every single step they take on NL, the NL servers would have crashed several times over. I will personally laud him if he can conclude a significant part of the rail line. For now, its all politics and noise making.
Provide us with pictures of the Abuja light rail and we'll appreciate it if its good. At least the internet will help us follow the progress in this country. And also, the total project length is 54km.....I'm sure you've never witnessed a rail project of this scale in your lifetime.....except u're 80 years old or somthing. You're just mad at this news and u need to give us a reason why.....Yeah, and if the FG reveal every step they take on NL, it will probably expose the monumental corruption on-goin in this country and it might start a revolution in which you and your paymasters are wiped out.
Politics › Re: Lagos Light Rail Will Be Ready In June – Fashola by ba7man(m): 9:49am On Jan 09, 2013
Sincere 9gerian: Very good development.
However based on this statement:

“This is what we do with the loan collected by the government. We don’t use our loan to pay salaries and other recurrent expenditure, what we do with our loan is to provide capital projects that would serve the residents"...Fashola

If this project is being executed with loan, what does the state govt do with N30billion monthly revenue?

But whether with loans or not, let the project (even if its just the first phase) be completed for the good of the people.
Oga, Park well jooor, If he was being shady would he reveal that information in the first place?? You no get yarns joor.

Politics › Re: Railtrack Construction Commencement Ceremony On The Lagos-b'dgry Expressway Pics by ba7man(m): 2:53pm On Jan 08, 2013
Sincere 9gerian: I can see the ACN goons are popping champagne over "commencement" of laying of rail tracks 6yrs into the 8yr regime of Fashola. Is this not the same project that would have been completed by Jakande in the mid 80's if not for the coup by Buhari and his gang?
Anyway, I send my felicitations too. It is better late than never
Took you a while to comment (despite being on the thread for so long). Anyway, they are popping Champagne not because of its "commencement" but its "implication" on their way of life, business and investments. The earlier part of his admistration was used to prepare the site (demolition, settlement of those affected and construction of those large concrete footings to carry the tracks) so the tracks is the least of works to be carried out.

Walphem: I laugh in Spanish, how and why will you conclude that the project is Photoshop? I have my personal collections of pictures around the project.I move thru the axis almost daily and what I say is God should give him the grace to complete this enormous project.
Oga, cool down, I was making a mockery of a set of people with that post. Anyway, God has finlly smiled down on anyone that owns landed property or purchased land along that axis b'cos their values will skyrocket.
