Politics › Re: Patience To Return Before September Ending by Baawaa(m): 9:20am On Sep 11, 2012
jamp: Patience Jonathan is expected back in the country before the end of September ahead of Nigeria’s 52nd Independence anniversary.

Patience is said to be hospitalised at the Horst Schmidt Klinik in Wiesbaden, Germany.

While a section of the media said she underwent surgery for appendicitis, some others said she was being treated for food poisoning.

Amidst the conflicting reports however, her media aides insisted that she only travelled abroad to rest after the stress involved in the hosting of the African First Ladies’ Conference in Abuja.

They also insisted last week that they did not know when the President’s wife would return to Nigeria.

Her media aide, Ayo Osinlu, had told our correspondent. “She is not a regular public office holder who has a specific duration for vacation. Assuming that she has a specific duration for vacation, then we could have said the vacation will end on a particular day and she will return on a particular day.

“But as it is, she can decide to return anytime she feels she has rested enough.”

Babaji111: I wonder where are we getting our economic theories. The N5,000 note issue is disturbing. Let us try and put the cath after the horses. Nigerians are ruled by abstract, obscured and unrelialistic policies that render nothing to the masses but more hardship. I am sure some people are getting something in the contract of printing naira notes without considering its economic consequenses. May God help 9ja!

stpat1: Met Her In The Morning, In The Evening She Calls Me To Help Her With #30,000

Wonders shall never end. I live in PH. This morning I met a chick in the bus, we got talking and I collected her number promising to give her a call in the evening.

In the evening, she called me and was telling how she and her friend later went in search of a new accommodation and that they only have 70k for an accommodation that costs over 100k. Now she wants me to help her with about 40k.

Now what I was wondering is are there still Mugus that fall for such cheap scam? even if she was saying the truth, am I the right person to ask at such a time? someone you just met in a bus just some few hrs back. Na wha o

Politics › Re: Patience Jonathan Is Not Hospitalized - Abati by Baawaa(m): 10:36am On Sep 04, 2012
lonamy: I think Jonathan needs to pray very hard for his wife if he actually loves her.

There is a trend in Aso Rock from the time of Babangida.

Mariam Babangida escaped and lived many years before she died. (Babangida-lives, Mariam-Dead)
Abacha Vs Mariam Abacha, (Mariam Abacha -lives, Abacha - Dead)
Obasanjo Vs Stella Obasanjo (Obasanjo - Lives Vs Stella Obasanjo- dead)
Musa Yaradua and Turai Yaradua (Musa Yaradua - dead and Turai Yaradua - lives)
Goodluck Ebele Jonatha Vs Dame Patience Jonathan (Goodluck Ebele Jonatha - (lives/dead) Vs Dame Patience Jonathan - (lives/dead))

If we consider the five trend of events above,

Wife Dead
Husband Dead
Wife Dead
Husband Dead
then unless there is an inverse of the case next should be the wife, GEJ may survive.

The only way to avert this is to pray for the first family of the nation. And if this comes to pass then there is a very critical need to unseat the demons that live in the Aso Rock.
The Babangida and Abacha brought lots of demons into that house. They have made lots of blood covenant with the devil. Obasanjo went there to completely seal the deal with the devil. That is why Yaradua could not survive for long, because he could not meet up with the demand of the blood tasty demons in the house, so he had to go.

The people eyeing the seat of Nigeria presidency should think twice, especially their power hungry wives if they have long spoon to dine with the devil.
Warnings to Buhari because after this one, if he gets to power, he is the next to die.
Forget,this your calculations is wrong,the fact is that 96% of Nigerians were cursing these people day in-day day-out!!Is good to be good grin

mediainspired: In Egbeda, Lagos there's a street called AJISEBIARAMECCA (one who runs errand like a messenger from Mecca). What a mouthful! There's also AJANGBADI in Ojo (like, seriously, who gave dat plane-crashing sound name). &what is it wit Lagos &all d 'Iyanas,' like Iyana School, Iyana Ipaja, Iyana Dopemu. So if want to name ur area in Lag, just say 'Iyana' &den fix ur name. Lol
The meaning of AJISEBIARAMECCA is "One his doing like Mecca people"and the Iyanas,it means Junctions.For instance Iyana-Ipaja,there is main Ipaja.The same thing applicable to Iyana-Dopemu.

duni04: We shouldn't always be in a haste to compare what goes on in Nigeria with what goes on in other countries, and also the fact that we have crowded buses and trains in more developed countries doesn't mean its 'normal' or we should accept it as a norm. I'm sure these developed countries we're always very quick to compare ourselves with are already mapping out ways to make rush hour traffic more convenient and efficient while we're here accepting that its a norm. In a few years time, after these countries would have thought out and implemented ways of improving their transport system, we'll be here alone with our 'norm'. Lets also seek out ways of improving our transport system and making it convenient and inexpensive to commuters.
No sensible person will tell you that overcrowding a bus because you want to make money is good,from what i noticed,passengers begged for standing in the morning and evening times.For instance,Ogun-State government just launched her own buses,believing me it is useless because the crowd is not much.As a matter of fact we need to commend Lagos-State government for giving us sense of belonging.Every festive time BRT is free,majority of us don't know!!

Stop arguing/commenting out of point pls.......................... @OP,Nice Stats Pls (OPTA Statistics r d most accurate in d world of football, even BBC,VOA,CNN,GOAL.COM quote dem 4 references all d time) Mikel is doing what he's asked to do @ Chelsea, his Predecessor, Claude Makalele played for Chelsea for over 4years & scored just 1 goal (a Penalty d "Special 1" ran out from his seat & specifically asked him 2 take, while Lampard was on d pitch! Tho' Chelsea were leadin 4-1 @ d time, he missed, but scored d rebound!) but he was d best DM (Defensive Midfielder Chelsea ever add) no one blame or tackled him for not scoring goals cos he's doin what he is asked to do, EXACTLY what Mikel is doing Presently.

dedeike: Ignorance is very bad. I wonder whether some of us just bother to read through topics before jumping to advertise our illiteracy on this forum.
The current capacity is 4,477 megawatts. Shiroro and Kainji hydro contributes 300 MW to the national grid.
There's going to be a drop definitely when rainy season stops but d drop won't exceed 300 Mw as AMADI said.
If you minus 300mw from existing 4,477 mw , it still leaves you with above 4,000 MW.
How is this so difficult to understand?

Politics › Re: 5000 Naira Notes: The Solution To Our Problems? by Baawaa(m): 12:28pm On Aug 24, 2012
bootstrap: if u ask me .. i think ultimately SLS plans on redenominating the Naira, say by one decimal place. the advantages wld be quite enormous.
a case where;
N5000 = N500
N1000 = N100
N500 = N50
N100 = N10
N50 = N5
N5,N10,N20 = 50K, N1 AND N2 coins Respectively.
(1 dollar = approx N15)
If managed well it cld be the advent of a stronger economy. as per advantages of redenomination

(1) To restore the value of the Naira (in the short-term) close to what it was in 1985 before the commencement of the Structural Adjustment Programme (SAP) in 1986.
(2) To better anchor inflationary expectations
(3) To strengthen public confidence in the Naira
(4) To make for easier conversion to other currencies
(5) To reverse tendency for currency substitution
(6) To eliminate higher denomination notes with lower value.
(7) To reduce the cost of production, distribution and processing of currency.
(cool To promote the usage of coins and thus a more efficient pricing and payments system.
(9) To lay the foundation for the convertibility of the Naira as well as make it the ‘Reference currency’ in Africa.
