Scholes007: Yesterday the topic "Joe Igbokwe: Igbo bigotry and hate campaigne worries me made front page". Well I had to read it and maybe draw some lessons at the same time criticize if necessary. Before i go into discussing his views, I must point out that I was disappointed by the mode a supposed Igbo eldered smeared in block his people and their image. He clearly painted the Igbos especially the youths as bigots and hateful without reservation. He choice of word and presentation was absolutely petty for a leader who the younger generation look upto. Yes everyone must have sentiments but nothing justifies using your sentiments to rundown your own just blatantly. I also notice that he didn't include were he have aired his dissatisfations to the appropriate authorities or any measures he took before running to the media house to air his view. Many who actually applaude him may not know the danger or is absolutely happy for it. With that said let's look into his opinion which looks more like allegations... you are typical example and epitome of everything Igbokwe discussed in that essay. Your records on NL are my witnesses. |

Oooh, I forgot- he's a PDP member, it's in their genes to whip up tribal and religious sentiments when confronted with the stench of their own farts.
FFK does it by quoting a verse in the bible whenever he opens his big mouth to shiit.
Ekweremadu does it by wearing one very stupid masquerade regalia whenever he shows up before a trial judge.
Fayose does it by "reading the bible", former
The Ineffectual Vice President does it by saying Baba is trying to Christianise Nigeria since his running mate has several churches scattered all across the country!!
The Ineffectual Buffoon himself did it by genuflecting before and licking the balls of every known General Overseer in the country.
Then their supporters do it by screaming "Northernization Agenda" on every single thread.
What a useless bunch of things.
Ps: @iPod Miscreants: how is the plot to silence Omenka on your little whatsapp group going??

Brightgem: #scratchinghead u no lie. u make sense, I wrack my head everyday abt matters like this, how? when? with who (like minds)? what strategies can help? sometimes the thoughts are overwhelming... the words NGO must have turned me off as I feel most are set up for the founders pockets in the end. so Brightgem, we can challenge the status quo if we are empowered educationally and economically.... are we really educated? Maybe, but I won't want to go beyond the ability to read ,write, and interpret figures and or science for basic understanding and creative thinking to adapt solutions to our local situations.......don't wanna talk about our inabilities to surmount prejudices, superstition and what we ain't familiar with or our deliberate of better models in religions like the Sufi philosophy or Christ teachings, that ll b asking too much for we shall evolve with time. skills acquisition remain one sure way of exchanging goods and services for a fee within any economy including ours. Some persons especially youths on NL have been giving these skills( farming, computer, e-business, everyday products, etc) free of charge or for a small fee. I know of Strongbest, crazymomi, Ymodulus, viviaciousvivi, Dadojo,Juliane, amicable09, and several fantastic youths who have refreshingly kept me coming back to NL. 'So wetin bring me ,bring NGO matter?' ,you may be wondering. I shall be back. |

omenka: Truth be told, this is one veeery tough choice to make given the valour of our troops in the NE theatre ever since Buratai assumed his position.
Indeed he must have dipped his finger in the cookie jar in the previous admin and should be dealt with accordingly, but I fear for what would become of the war against the terrorists upon his removal- like peering into a dingy room out of which very eerie sounds are coming- frightening prospect to say the least.
Come what may, Baba knows how best to handle this immensely dicey situation- one false move and we are back where the Ineffectual Buffoon left us in the NE.
PS: Idiots are welcome to quote me and bare stupidity to the admiration of their co-idiots. OM if Bura dies today nko? Our military life goesn on.....better officers would come up.....he should have been more disciplined. |

fulanimafia, while we don't want pmb to submit his government to an unrepentant hate filled enemies despite the incessant attacks to attract the attention of the President, and learning from the near defeat Obama suffered while seeking 2nd term by being too nice to his enemy- republicans, I think the president needs to be a little more sensitive. Truth is that President still enjoys huge followership in some of these places that do not subscribe to ipob's philosophies ,n we can't push them away . I give you an example: If Amaechi had allowed us reply ipobs in Rivers violence for violence many of you would have realised the huge APC fan base that Rivers has. Would you have believed that a sitting governor and an immediate president with all d ' PDP is south south' noise being fed the public, PDP would found it difficult to win a gubernatorial election Silva being the force they were struggling with o? Or you think if PMB had wanted these places ,he wouldn't have gotten them? I swear Wike didn't even believe he would survive until the supreme court actually gave him a lifeline. All I'm saying is that I want the president to bring in some of our guys before we loose them to the other side. so many positions dey. But you be shege yaro sha! |

Essien and I were on our way to visit my parents, but his breathing was ragged, and my heart was beating, "Thump! Thump!!". He would definitely survive, but not me. I was watching my lifeless body give up its last breath, as Essien took his last as well.] horrific flash. 1 Like |

Brightgem: Celebaba whats that advice for and how does it edify this thread? what stops u from starting one, did I tell u NGO is my dream? How abt tell us how youths can uniformly strategically remove themselves from the unending hardship? yes dear, when you evolve a plan and execute it to solve a problem or meet a need, you are a development person. By development person, I mean a person who intervenes or bring intervention to the right people or community that actually need n are ready to own such interventions. Presently globally , the human needs are captured in the elaborate new Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) formerly referred to as the MDGs . These goals cover a lot of needs and gaps which the human race and mother earth presently confront - from poverty, universal education , malaria, food security, governance, health to environmental sustainability . At the core of these program is the human entity which is facing a lot of challenges . Poverty is the main factor confronting us today in the world and has been indicted as been the main cause of most of the sub human realities commonly found in the developing nations most especially. In Nigeria, it is no longer news that self induced poverty in the mist of abundant resources is the bane of the country. So how does this and having an NGO affect Brightgem? .........hmmm uniformly strategically remove ourselves from unending hardship involves a joint effort within a registered govtal or non- governmental organisation or any other legal gathering for a meaningful impact to be unleashed. I ll be back. |

In sane countries, the viral pic of him having a modern day slave wiping his shoes in public would have sent him packing but this is a banana republic..
Anyway sha, for Bubu to make a success of his regime, the following people just must not have any driving seat "position" ; Dambazzau, Kyari, Babachir, Malami, and that Mamman Daura and even Daura of DSS...
Unfortunately, it won't happen.... Let's siddon dey look. the president do not have the luxury of retaining these questionable characters......It would be too dangerous for PMB's health and credential. Time will definitely tell. |
