That's the fake version it's not up to even $20 sef. |
cckris:Is the case not in a court of law at the moment? Is that what the story is all about? |
Synord:You've obviously never read the biography of any of these great musicians otherwise you would know already what is common knowledge. Why don't you go on their wikipedia pages and check for yourself. The record labels that an artiste was signed to is always listed on there. |
OP, I was nodding in agreement while reading your piece until you mentioned Fela, Angelique Kidjo, Mariam Makeba, Sunny Ade, etc. And you said they never signed international deals. My guy you goofed big time there. All those people you mentioned signed international deals and were managed by international record labels. Please look up your facts next time before posting. In the old days, many international labels like Decca Records, Island records, EMI, etc actually had Nigerian offices. |
grodt999:Fascinating story about the entrepreneur Rotimi Williams, Aberdeen and London trained economist, financial analyst and reporter and later an agriculture specialist banker before he voluntarily quit his job and went into large scale industrial farming. Do you seriously believe that his story is in any way similar to the story of the average jobless Nigerian youth? This is a guy who already had considerable connections with UK hedge fund managers. You think just anybody can get up one day and source the funds to go into farming the way he did? And if it is so easy to farm then why haven't you yourself done it? It will certainly be a more productive use of your time than throwing useless and banal insults at strangers over the internet whose lives you definitely know nothing about. |
grodt999:So you think a person who has no job will have money to buy a farm? Or are farms given freely in Osun state. |
imhotep:Nigerian politicians are all the same irrespective of party. Please wake up. |
proxillin:When did Obama call Fox News fake news during a press conference? |
carmag:The world will never be at peace till we finish destroying each other. War and destruction are an integral part of human nature. |
asuustrike2009:Lol. You would hope so. |
eyinjuege:If you think only Boko Haram is doing all the killings then you have allowed yourself to be deceived. Even people who call themselves Christians have been killing too and this should not be so. Persecution of Christians did not start today, it started from the very beginning of the faith. If Christians back then decided to fight and kill back against their enemies then the faith would not have endured till today. I am speaking purely from a spiritual perspective now. It is very wrong to ask Christians to kill anybody for any reason at all. God will punish anybody who teaches such a thing, whether he is a bishop or not doesn't matter. |
jusRadical:Okay. This is my advice. Any community in Nigeria that is under attack has every right to defend itself with deadly force. In the heat of the moment it is perfectly legal to return fire for fire. However, the reason these Southern Kaduna killings have continued for the past 25 years is because of reprisal killings for revenge. After an attack by one side, the other side goes to buy weapons and mobilizes to go and take revenge on the other side. I am not in support of that. I would encourage both the Hausa-Fulani communities and the Zango-Kataf communities to imbibe the spirit of forgiveness and to let bygones be bygones. That is the only possible way to move forward. Are you happy now? |
jusRadical:I'm a practical and pragmatic person. My advice won't change anything so I won't bother wasting my time. But I did offer my personal opinion though, I noticed you didn't say anything about that. |
jusRadical:I cannot give any advice because I am not a member of that community. The way I see it, self defense is no crime in the eye of the law, however revenge killings are. Just my personal opinion. |
jusRadical:Bishop Oyedepo is not a community leader or a politician. He is a Christian leader and should be an example of Christ. The question to ask him is not what should communities do. It is what would Jesus do? Would Jesus tell his followers to kill anybody? Then why is a church leader telling followers of Jesus to kill somebody? Can such a thing be right? |
Oyedepo has lost it. I used to respect this man so much, now he has completely deviated from the path of true Christianity. I pity him and his many followers. |
How many mosques have they ever demolished in Jigawa state? Or do the mosques automatically have permission to build? |
thorpido:Pls which rule is this? I've never heard of it. The IGP said some years ago that hospitals can treat any case including gunshot wounds without police report and only need to inform the police before the case is discharged to go home. |
Afriifa:Throughout the period when PDP was in the majority in the Senate, was the Deputy Senate President from any other party? |
Xtfield:Please which naira note looks like that? Looks more like one dollar bills to me. |
lonelydora:Floyd Mayweather is African American not white. |
discman2k2:The problem with our country is that it is still our country instead of becoming our nation. We are still trying to build a country but we have made no attempt to build a nation. A country is a place where you come from but a nation is a place where you belong to, where you have a stake. Mention one thing apart from football that brings this country together. No shared history, no shared culture and no shared values, visions and goals. How can we move forward like this? |
jumpandpas:Show me where I said anything about arresting Christian leaders. We Nigerians need to learn how to have a conversation with each other instead of just parroting the talking points that we have decided to believe in. |
greenermodels:If that is the case then they definitely need to vote in local govt leaders that will protect their interests. It's a political problem for sure but it's also a human rights issue. We all need to have some compassion for our fellow human beings regardless of tribe or religion. |
Leez:Between Buhari and Jonathan I would vote for Buhari again a thousand times over, no question. Next time PDP should present a candidate that actually wants to be president and not an accident of history like Jonathan who just somehow found himself there. |
greenermodels:You think these Southern Kaduna killings just started now under Buhari? It's been happening since 1991 when Babangida was in power. It happened several times under Jonathan too. It's a long standing and ongoing problem and blaming APC and Buhari will not solve it. |
Obazee has gotten what he deserved. He is arrogant and meddlesome, he has been throwing his weight around and making life difficult for several financial institutions that were not in contravention of any laws. So it's not only about churches. |
Rest in peace my brother. This is extremely painful and annoying. |
RIPEnglish:From Nigerians na. Where else? |
januzajj:I think you mean Patience stole with impunity and never cared what anybody had to say about her corruption. |
Hmmm. Could this be true love? |
Shuo! Bodmas na person name? |
