afam4eva: Bamidele has always fought on the side of the masses, so his utterance is not surprising. he hit the nail on the head.He was not criticizing anybody, he only stated the realities he faces everytime he passes or enforces laws to prevent the same thing the id.iot. in the article is talking about. The same clown is still fighting the government over the illegal occupation of government land in makoko ? His own case is guilty conciense. BTW... Listen to who? The same law breakers who don't want to respect and break the law? The same people labeling him anti masses because his doing is job? The same okada bent on killing lagosians and refusing to obey the laws of the land? Who are you talking. |
Aggrippa: dont blow siren! but she still insisted on blowing siren, she is very lucky Governor Rochas did not resort to flogging her. o maybe she forgot that she was disturbing the peace in the state thinking everyone are deaf and dumb and they will feel cool about it. but seriously a woman in power can be likened to a woman with a sword which is a thing of fear . anyway nais violence the answer to everything in iboland? |
And these are the clowns Seun was pandering to. Other peoples God is fair game and trash able , but common Achebe is sacred and untouchable. |
Dude, you are boring me with the same pointless excuses and rubbish. You people are full of excuses and victim mentality. Your leaders are weak, visionless and incompetent just like you the next generation making excuses before you even get there. Talk about hopeless situation. |
Sadly, Okada killed more lagosians than fire tragedies, but the same people talking rubbish now are still fighting the state government for creating and enforcing laws to save their lives. They say he's anti people, they say he ie elitist, they say he care less about the messes. Imagine if without this tragedy the state took action against these busineses and even shut them down, its still going to be the same noise and criticism by the same lawless people... You don't want to die or suffer tragedy, but you still don't want to be regulated, you still don't want to obey the law. Everybody is dying to have it both ways. Fashola and many well meaning nigerian leaders must know that their primary duty as chief law enforcement officers of their stares is protection of life and property and they must do what's best for the society no matter the noise and criticism. Do your job and let the chips fall wherever. |

PROUD-IGBO:Your leaders gave us the center like agui ironsi did with his unification decree which abolished regional administration. You people cry and yell all the time, but you never look at yourselves and the dangerous and evil part you played. You prescribed the medicine so you should not complain when you swallow. |
PROUD-IGBO:It's the same silly and re.tarded excuse. Who is holding you down? Are you people slaves in chains? Do you not have governors, ministers, reps, senators, senate and rep leaders and heads of government agencies? Are they all in chains and bondage too? You've had president, head of state, you've had vice president, you've occupied all leadership positions more than any other group in Nigeria so who held you down again? You can not alter your history and realities with excuses . Your leaders collect allocations and taxes like other states in Nigeria, they have heads and thinking brain, they are just too lazy and visionless. They can come up with vision and ideas to move the region forward, they need to get beyond apathy, victim syndrome and mediocrity. You had total control during the regional administration era so please tell me what your leaders did and accomplished. BTW, you people need to stop the ignorant noise about igr because going by your budgets and lagos states budgets and population, your states are far richer per head. Lack of vision and ingenuity is what your leaders don't have and you the next generation don't have it either because you already have your own excuses.... |
See crocodile tears. After all the election noise, abuse and 99% support for the dumbest president in the world, the chicken is now home to roost. Lesson number 1, never put your eggs in one basket, look beyond your nose especially with your history of supporting losers and getting the end if the stick as usual. Most importantly, only foolish people beg and wait for the most useless government to do things for them. Shebi you people are Jews, you are Japanese, you are Koreans, how come you are really not like them by doing things for yourselves instead of always crying and begging? Smh.... |
GeneralJ: don't mean to offend u but can u ever comment on a thread without including any tribal sentiments??Nothing tribal about my comment. It just battles me that ibo people acts as if they have no love and affection for fellow ibo people. They act as as if they are each others enemy and must let it be known through violence, killings and kidnapping. Even their school kids are fair game... This is very troubling. |
This is a clear demonstration of religious unity, harmony and tolerance the SW is known for coming from Muslim governors in the SW as we've seen with Fashola and his Christmas light festival in lagos state and Ogbeni and his beautiful Christmas display in osun. I'm really proud of these guys. |

Mr. Globe:You are giving up too soon, keep looking and you might lucky.. Jobless mofos...lmao |
It was not an exchange, it was me educating you and getting nothing but ignorance and laziness in return. |
Oloshi, me participate in your madness? You can kill yourself over fashola for all I care. |
And NL let you register this ID and even allow you to spam the forum with this rubbish.? |
DaLover: Is this what you are able to interprete from my post? What else was in your posts apart from you arguing against the government just because they want you to act like a good citizen? Some of you are just corrupt and criminally minded to change your bad ways. |
Symphony007: i asked you. Not google. Why refer me to google? If your brain brought you this far, i'm sure it can go a little further.I'm not your teacher and I'm not responsible for your education. I've given you enouh education in this thread so don't be lazy, even handicap people without limbs Sabi use Google. Prove that the education money spent on you didn't go to waste. |
Symphony007: ahmadu bello way, victoria island is below sea level? And how comes the hudson river does'nt flood lower manhattan since according to your geographical knowledge it's suppose to be below sea level.Olodo, Google is your friend. Use it sometimes. |
Symphony007: oh do padon me. I forgot prop 1 passed and was signed by governour brown. But back to the infastructure in lagos. Why is a mega world class city like lagos always submerged in water whenever it rains? Guess you remember about a year ago when floods shut down lagos and cause a public holiday to be put in place the following day.Your flooding answer is up there. Learn some geography and read more about lagos state before commenting on anything about lagos state. Glad you recognized your Olodo ways about California. |
Symphony007: that was quite a lovely write up but ridden with massive loopholes. You claim 70% of lagos has good roads? Why does victoria island, home to many multinationals get flooded at the slightest rain fall? I guess you've forgotten so soon the rainfall of about a year ago when lagos was almost submerged in water and due to the choas the govt. Had to declare a public holiday the following day. Also you i never said lagos did'nt have an educated work force they do. But it's low. And most of them unqualified. Your corporate tax explanation was just all over the place because i need u to explain to me why a city like abia will have the same tax rate as lagos, abuja or port harcourt. Lastly you did'nt address the tout tax collectors who are killing small buisnesses all over the city of lagos.Flooding in the areas you mentioned has nothing to do with bad roads, that part of lagos is below the sea level so when the sea rises, there is nowhere for the water to go hence flooding.. Stick to your village and worry less about lagos. |
DaLover: Yes, they can, many residential building are converted to commercial buildings outside of the master plans in VI, lagos and elsewhere in nigeria, and we see this everyday ...agencies of government fail, hence the government fails...but decides to blame othersSo, the fact the the government failed means your actions as a citizen should be illegal, anti social with no personal and civic responsibility? |
shymexx: Oh well - perhaps, I need to cite the average IQ of Nigerians again...Well said jare. |
Symphony007: the los angeles high speed rail mister. Is the federally sponsored program, it's facing blockage in congress due to the failed stimulus so it's not even started yet. You just exastubated a certain level of quantum ignorance. Plus what evidence apart from official release that this frevolity is sponsored and not funded by the government?Listen to this Olodo. This is a voter approved project that authorized the state to raise bond $10 billion bond money for the project. It was prop 1A and I personality voted for this project. The only federal participation is federal matching fund . I don't even understand the meaning of this gibberish or what its got to do with guguru and epa .. |
What is the difference between hotels and economy? Are hotels not part of the economy where money exchange hands, where people worm and collect paychecks that pays their rent, that feed their families, that they spend on entertainment which grows the economy...... This is the meaning of economy.. Symphony007: is reading now so hard mister? I said this triviality will not add to the economy not hotels. Ate hotels not buisnesses? Futhermore you claim the hotels in imo is a joint for prostitutes or brothels. Well what evidence do u have of that? Are you a love-vendor. Cause according to your thinking of knowing tourist traffic by hotel accomodation then imo is a larger tourist destination than lagos.Again, shut up about your mushroom isi ewu hotels in owerri. |
souleman07@gmai:Just beautiful..... Eko o ni baje o... |
Symphony007: please read very well..before commenting. I never said hotel patronage does not help the economy...but i said if that is your criteria for measuring the flux of tourist then port harcourt and owerri are the biggest tourist destination because hotels in this city are full, though expensive all year round. Like i said. Give me real statistics no vague infinitesimalities.Don't shift the goal post. You said it adds nothing to the local economy. That was an ignorant statement because when the hotel are busy with guest, they are making money and re injecting money back into the local economy. I don't have to stoop down low to your owerri rubbish. What is the entire population of imo and what's the gdp against lagos? Who are the tourists visiting owerri and what are the tourist attractions. And where is your own stats? We are not talking about ashawo and isi ewu joints. |
Symphony007: i pride myself an exceptional gentleman so i won't exchange insults but facts with you my good man...firstly i did'nt know los angeles, califonia is in africa cause i said lagos has the worse traffic in africa so you're geography teacher need questioning. Secondly los angeles has a high speed rail coming and a road network that makes the entire lagos look like 18th century engineering. These parties and the rest are rubbish and a waste of peoples money.Your argument has no foundation and its utterly baseless since this event is not state sponsored and the state and local economy stands to gain a lot from the event. Furthermore, California is the 7th largest economy in the world and It's already a developed state with over 100 years of development and tens of billions of dollars in yearly budget so its very idiotic to compare both on any level. Lastly, the speed rail in California is a state project funded with bonds approved and raised by the people of California so get your facts right, you are not talking to mumu. Also,.los Angeles is working on their speed train and lagos state is working on its metro rail so what's your point? Keep quiet please. |
Symphony007: my facts are suffering from overightness. Is that even a word? Anyway....!! I don't need to go to hotels to know that all this frevolities do not add a penny to the economy. Rather it is a waste. If you feel your facts are so strong, lay them here with figures from the ministry of culture and tourism or the national oreintation agency and i'll conceed.Hotels don't make money from huge patronage? Are you from dumb land. Huge patronage means more revenue to create more jobs by hiring more people, huge patronage means they use more supplies and they have to go back to the market to restock used supplies, meaning they are recycling the money and injecting it into the local economy. When the hotels are busy, it means everybody is making money from the cab drivers to suppliers like food and drink suppliers, toiletries suppliers and the state. It's a win win situation for everybody. Don't be shallow minded, its economics101. |
solomon111: What a waste!Curb your ignorance, this is a private event, the only state responsibility here is to sanction the event and make some tax money to develop our state. Do you know the economic impact of such an event with 50,000 people on the local economy? Do you not know that many people are going to make money from transporting people to this event, make money from selling food and drinks, make money from party supplies, advertisers making money, hotels making money, printers making money from posters, and the state making tax money to build roads, schools and so on... Events like this insects money into the local economy, it creates jobs. In many places , cities fight and lobby to host such events because of the economic potentials and job creation. This is how you boost your local economy and create jobs. You people need to reason beyond your village said... |
PeterKbaba:Many if these ignorant villagers are just too daft and you can not expect them to think beyond their stone age village thinking. Nigeria is just too unlucky to have these clowns as citizens .. |
