bukatyne: I see it that everybody marry someone who adds value to their lives (Money, beauty, domestics etc.)but you'll agree with me that the value women care about is money a.k.a "potentials". |
bukatyne: So why women 'hypergamy' and nothing coined for the men?No term nothing is coined for men because men are all over the place... they can be hypergamous ...they can be hypogamous ... they can be on-the-same-level-gamous. Most women on the other hand are strictly hypergamous. Every woman wants a MAN (with potentials ) a prince charming, a knight in shinning armor. Women marry up. If they place two equally good looking and equally morally upright men side by side; but one is richer, and you're asked to choose your husband, you'll choose the richer man. They only marry down when hyper-Men aren't available. When the desired isnt available, the available becomes desried. |
Potential? Women go for "potentials" when the already-made guy isn't available for marraige. Potential and "God fearing". ![]() |
^^^ The energy to cover your tracks can't/won't be enormous in this day and age. Except you go looking for hair strands and DNA samples on this shirts and pants. "Instinct will go off" ke? Behavioral change could be due to anything. That's why I said it's tedious to keep going through phones without having any tangible reason to be suspicious. "My husband has been moody for the past couple of days, let me go through his phone, he's probably cheating"? My point? Pray you end up with a man/ or a woman that'll be smart enough to use a condom/take precautions if/when cheating. |
^^ It's not a matter of dying in silence. If you have a substantial reason to suspect he's cheating, I guess it's okay to snoop around. but routine checks? How long before this turns to paranoia? How long before he gets constantly accused falsely? How long before this affects the marraige? The idea of constantly looking for "evidence" and "something wrong" in a marraige is tedious. It's extremely easy (too easy) to cheat and get away with it nowadays. How many minutes does It take to fück? So far he's not sloppy and he's smart; he can cheat and and get away with it. hispinkolo: ^^That's exactly my point; isn't it possible you could have contracted something from him in this period of "covering tracks"? |
ayaomoade: I have been following this thread and i must say that it is very interesting to see women support each other. My prayer is that God will make our homes heaven on earth.what does checking his phone solve in the real sense? What if he already fűcked her before the phone conversations started? What if he deletes his call logs, messages and emails? In this age of smart phones, isn't it very easy to cover your tracks? plus, won't a man that knows his wife snoops around take extra measures to cover his tracks? Just wondering. |
pickabeau1: for someone who called colombia underdogsUnderdogs because no one (not me) thought they'd play that well. I'm sure you also think Messi deserves the Golden ball. ![]() |
pickabeau1: Not on the evidence of playWhen this discussion started, one would think you knew what you were talking about; not knowing you were just blowing hot air. Pickabeau1 the patriot. ![]() |
pickabeau1: ok.... yet colombia steamrolled their own group copping 9 pointsSo copping 9 points means they had it easier? Your logic eh. Didn't Argentina cop 9 pts? That it seemed like they steamrolled means they played very well. Columbia was arguably the best team that played in the groups stage. Argentina had easier teams yet they nearly fumbled. You're forgetting that Iran almost beat them; so did Nigeria; two low-ranked teams. |
pickabeau1: Go and check the rankings dude..It's good you posted the table; i was about to. That's your achilles' heel. Argentina(5th) in the world played against bosnia(21) , iran(43) and Nigeria (44). Coumbia (8th) in the world played against Greece(12), Ivory Coast (23), and Japan (46). If you know your maths well, you'll already see that Argentina have it easier mere looking at the positions. The average difficulty of Argentina is 36 The average difficulty of Columbia is 27. Average is gotten by adding the ranks and dividing by 3. |
pickabeau1: Im not ...Yes, you are. You went there coz I'm a female discussing football. Whereas, you were the one that "believed" Nigeria would beat France. ![]() Please lets see your facts. |
pickabeau1: HAHAHAHAHNo need getting salty; you're not a female. We can argue without exchanging snide/s. |
pickabeau1: Colombia - Greece - Ivory Coast - japanYou need to start Football 001. You're being biased because it's Argentina. They had the easiest group; considering their hype and their record. Columbia were the underdogs yet they pulled through with fantastic performances. Argentina's group performances were very average, yet they made it through; that's to show you how easy they had it. |
coogar: columbia are way better than argentina but the messi hype is ridiculous. that's what BBC hacks are saying at the moment - they all felt messi hasn't done enough to win the golden ball.Add Robben to the list. Messi has done nothing in this world cup but ruin my Fifa fantasy . He only had a couple of magic moments. Very over-hyped player. |
pickabeau1: colombia were dark horses.. these two were betterHow's argentina better than columbia? Argentina had the easiest group and then went on to play Switzerland. They had it easy. |
coogar: columbia is better than the finalists, i am gutted for rodriguez but he still gets to keep the golden boot.Brazil wasted a spot. Having Chile or columbia in the final would have made an entertaining match. How's messi the best player of the tournament ![]() |
shymexx: Don't compare 3rd world countries, to a country that prides itself in being the leader of the new world and a western country. Especially when those targeted are mostly black folks. It's not right.Mark David Chapman (dude that murdered John Lennon) got 20 yrs to life (60 years). He was 25yrs old when he was sentenced. John Hinckley (shot president Regan and three others) wasn't even found guilty. Even If Felix was the sole drugs distributor for the whole of America, 263 years is very abnormal. Too Harsh. I think the point of the sentence is to remove any ray of hope that he's getting out. The greatest thing you can take away from a prisoner is the hope that he'll someday be set free. |
Sagamite: Many marriages follow this model.Very true. There are so many Plan B and emergency marriages out there; that's why they never last. @ Topic; women need to more firm when they're telling guys off; it may come off as being mean, but it works. There's no way you'd tell a guy "We can't be friends", " I'm not interesting in you, we have no chance together; stop calling" and he'll still stick around. Unless he's a masochist. Friend-zoning starts when women start giving the guys some form of tiny hope. |
tintingz: Yes in Nigeria you must sleep with one eye openAt least they're locked up; and rightly so. Where are your offenders? Roaming the streets? A nurse that drips a patient wrongly in America would most likely get locked up. Aren't the drip-obsessed nurses in Nigerian still working and earning salaries? Drunk driving can get you jail time in America. What happens to drunk drivers in Nigeria? ![]() |
iykedare: So true. All you need do is send money to a hungry nigga and he will get u a driver s license. And you are free to drive anywhere, anyhow. Most people love Nigeria because they can get away with so many things. coogar: send 2 passport photographs & $80, i will mail your driver's license to you within 10 days. Babymama1: YesYou don't mean it? No wonder a poster said Nigerians are free people. See freedom. ![]() I took the road test 3 times before I could get my license. ![]() |
cococandy: Fired riceThe rice looks pretty good. looks like party rice. |
CFCfan: But GEJ is now trying to set up a national ID card program. They've been stepping that program up since I was 2. I was told you don't need to take a road test to get a driver's license in Nigeria. How true is that? |
tintingz: Blame the bad government. And discrimination isn't prevalent in Nigeria (where there was never slavery)? Politics section on NL as a case study.... ![]() |
tintingz: Our white slaves in white land are voicing out, thank God.What's the point of that link you posted? Obama is the worst president of the USA since WW2; what does that information have to do with this thread? Does that change the fact that Nigeria's best president is far worse than obama? ![]() |
b3llo: I don't mean here in Nigeria! I won't go and be a slave in another Mans land, all those people going to the USA to stay are suffering just that they don't voice it out. In Nigeria we live as free people.Babymama1, are you suffering? How many Nigerians can boast of eating chicken stew for lunch today? ![]() Free people ? You're free? I don't think you're typing straight. Generator fumes are probably affecting you. No offense sir. |
hydeka: Have you been to other countries apart from Nigeria and the one you reside in now? Your conclusion based on your little experience makes me question your capability of sound judgement. Our problems may be many but which other country doesn't have problems? What we need at a time like this is the morale, will and encouragement to become a better people and not this your pessimistic blurt. And please don't ever return to this useless country again unless indeed you are also...That's exactly the problem. The problems the country has are too basic; water, electricity food, health, safety . . . . clean air; you wonder why Nigerians in Nigeria have yellow eyes ? The quality of the air. ![]() |
b3llo: I will not be a slave in a white Mans country! Nigeria is my home and I will be famous and heard of across the world from here. After my morning prayers I place my right hand on my chest and say "I pledge to Nigeria my countryAnd who told you we're slaves? A cliche to make you feel better? ![]() |
bukatyne: To break it down (What do you consider as "nothing"? In your household, doing nothing can mean "watching football". In my household watching football is doing something. If my husband is watching a game and I'm multitasking, that means he doesn't love me? You're reaching. |
bukatyne: Maám, note the bolded aboveEven if the other partner can't handle the chores. Read phema and damiso's posts. Can we then conclude that their husbands are lazy/wicked? Have you considered the husband's schedule? Have you considered if the husband has advised the woman to get help? Everything about marriage shouldn't be a war. "Chores" is too small an issue to be tagging people names like lazy and wicked. |
bukatyne: On a serious note,Even if the couple is okay with the arrangement ? Must it be one size fits all? |
