@May Kelly Since you hid under the pretext that I have been asking too many questions at a time, I would prefer you and I starting from your post below: LISTEN "FOR GOD SO LOVE THE WORLD THAT HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON (LORD JESUS CHRIST) FOR WHOSOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM (LORD JESUS CHRIST)SHALL NOT PERISH BUT HAVE EVER LASTING LIFE"I told you sometime ago that no Gospeller apart from John used 'only begotten son' for Jesus and here sre some of the verses: John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John 1:18 No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. If somebody happens to be the ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, it means the person is boh the first and last born and no other son apart fom him. SO MAYKELLY, Here are verses for you to explain Hebrew 11:17 By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten [son], Psalms 2:7: "I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee." So how many BEGOTTEN ARE WE having since Jesus happened to be THE ONLY BEGOTTEN SON? QURAN 4:171: “O People of the Book! Commit no excesses in your religion: nor say of Allah anything but the truth. Christ Jesus, the son of Mary was (no more than) a Messenger of Allah, and His Word, which He bestowed on Mary, and a Spirit proceeding from Him: so believe in Allah and His Messengers. Say not “Trinity”: desist: It will be better for you: For Allah is One God: Glory be to Him: (Far exalted is He) above having a son. To Him belong all things in the heavens and on earth. And enough is Allah as a Disposer of affairs.” |
@May Kelly And your just a baby in the things conerning God. I dealt with Babs787 and he has given up, so talking of you a little kid. Please go and read your book very well and write on your slat.Do you care to serve me where you dealt with me? I dont debatye with those that never know their bible let alone debating with from my book. You can still ask your folks and my posts speak for me. I dont debate with infants like you that is still under parents care. |
Knowing the human weakness for beauty and wealth, the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w.) has forewarned, "A man who marries a woman for the sake of her wealth, Allah leaves him in his own condition, and one who marries her (only) for her beauty, will find in her (things) which he dislikes (unpleasing manners) and Allah will gather up all these things for one who marries her for the sake of her faith (religiousness)." |
@Ifyalways please oooh my brothers and sisters i got a few questions and would very much appreciate your responses"Therefore, treat not the orphan with oppression. And repulse not the beggar.'' (93:9,10) "They ask you, (O Muhammad), what they shall spend. Say: that which you spend for good (must go) to parents and near kindred and orphans and the needy and the wayfarer. And whatsoever good you do, lo! Allah is Aware of it." (Qur’an 2:215) Sahl bin Sa`d (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "I will be like this in Jannah with the person who takes care of an orphan". Messenger of Allah (PBUH) raised his forefinger and middle finger by way of illustration. [Al-Bukhari]. Abu Hurairah (R.A.) reports that the Messenger of Allah (S.A.W.) stated "Whoever caresses the head of an orphan (in affection), solely for the sake of Allah, a good deed will be written to his account for every hair over which he passed his hand, and whoever treated an orphan (boy or girl) with goodness and kindness, he and I will be close to each-other in Heaven as these two fingers" The Prophet (S.A.W.) made a gesture with his fingers as explained above. Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (PBUH) said, "One who strives to help the widows and the poor is like the one who fights in the way of Allah.'' The narrator said: I think that he (PBUH) added also: "I shall regard him as the one who stands up (for prayer) without rest and as the one who observes fasts continuously". [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]. @assamuel Can you please tell your own understanding of Jihad when you were a muslim? |
Assamuel babs, share your testimony and let the world hear, if you have one. tell us how you became a christian first and how you got converted into islam and i would tell you mine. Let's see who have real experiences. i challenge you.Sorry brother, i was very busy and couldnt attend to your post. You don't have to challenge me, my posts speak for me. I was born into a christian family, my parents were christians, attended missionary school and lived in a predominantly christian community. My parents happen to be a Christ Apostolic Church Member. Church then, is not that business like as it is now. I started having getting confused when I came across some verses in the bible and I asked my Pastor and he had to tell me that that happened to be how they have been reading it and I should not try to question God that the bible was written with inspiration and what matter most is to believe in Jesus and accept him as the Lord and Saviour. I couldnt hold this as I started wondering what could my pastor be hiding when he saw two glaring contradicting verses, yet told me never to worry. I then though that, how do I explain to someone if he/she comes to me and presented two contradicting verses. Mind you, there was this man, Abdul Lateef Adebowale who happened to be the founder of a comparative society who goes about preaching Islam, using the Quran and bible as facts. I started attending most of his lectures and got myself the Quran. There was a time I had to come on stage and debated with him along with my friend who happened to be a pastor but now late (May Allah forgive him). In my quest for truth, I attended some many church practicing diferent doctrine, catholic church called saint Sabina somewhere in Agege, The Apostolic church , deeper life christian Assembly etc. Went to Foursquare Gospel church as well and at the end of the day, having got enough fact from the bible and the Quran got reverted to Islam through Abdul Lateef Adegbite. I can sit comfortably and tell you some of the doctrines preached by some of the christian sects including Jehovah Witness. Mind I decided to cut the story short because of Space. A lot happened when I wanted to revert to Islam. I faced so many opposition, sanctions etc but Alhamdulillah here i am. My aged father too reverted to ISLAM during last Ramadhan and has been praying since then but I am still praying for my mother to see the light before she enters the grave. There was this incident too where my friend dreamt of Jesus telling him to worhip (my friend was an Alfa) and after the dream, got confused and never go to mosque nor pray again but Alhamdulillah, I was able to bail him through one of the prayer organised by the society I attend for a Lady being disturbed by Jinn and the Jinn had to tell us some facts with regards to Jesus' picture, the only religion before God and my friend started praying again having learnt the truth and I was able to bring a lady to Islam through this only incident. So can I have yours now? |
I am pitying u as i type because u said u were a muslim. How much of Islam did u know (be sincere). Did u observe solats and read your quran in either english or arabic? Did u attend sermons? Just answer this questions sincerely because u are on the wrongest path! If your views of islam were based on the media, then my brother u have been misguided,He might have left Islam because he couldnt pray and they had to deceive him that there is somebody somewhere that saves without the Solat. Just believe and you are saved, Shikena. His Islamic knowledge is not sound. |
Asamuel you left Islam either because you were looking for miracle or just following the crowd.Which one?Maybe he left for christianity because of the vision and makosa, yahozee etc in the church. From his posts, it shows that he was never a practising muslim, just one sister here said he was a muslim but prefer dancing round. Maybe he he couldnt pray and decided to turn to clapping and singing that happens to be very easy. Just give your life to Jesus and enjoy yourself. |
@Maykelly we still have an outstanding issue to finish up, so when you are ready to learn and follow the truth rather than going around the globe, upload for I am ready to answer you bit by bit.So here I am for the unfinished business. Since you claimed to be ready for me, let us start here: please present the verses where Jesus said you should accept him as your personal Lord and savior But let it be known to you that LORD JESUS CHRIST is the reason of your existence today, BELIEVE IT OR NOT! is a FACT.You should have known me better when it comes to debate. I have given you verses from your bible and asked questions which you failed to respond to and if you think you are really serious to learn and educate yourself, do away with your arrogance and let us discuss. Let me walk you down memory lane to see where you have been dancing around without making sense: This was your post: QuoteI asked you: If Jesus is God:No response till now and you expected me to be having discussion with a kid that is never ready to learn and accept the truth? Also you posted this: I AM WILLING TO ANSWER ANY THING YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND IN THE HOLY BIBLE THE TRUTH.I asked you: Do you mind if we treat; No response till now and you are expecting a discussion with me? I also asked you: Since you said that you wanted us to start with John 1 v 1: here I go with some questions on it:But no response till now. So if you are ready to play the game of maturity and do away with your infantile reasoning and argument, then you have me for a debate. |
@Davidylan babs787, is there no longer a thread specifically for muslims? Is it so boring you just can't help but peep in here? There is and you should go there and read my contribution. It gets interesting each day because we tend to learn things from each other. I come here once in a while when I read your fraud. You level of hypocrisy has become glaring that your folks are no longer interested in debating with you because you keep treading blindly and arguing back and forht even where answers have been provided. Below is your allegation: what a foolish man. Did you not say the bible allah sent was lost and the one we had was a corruption? Now you understand them better than us?I asked you to furnish me where I said that God sent the BIBLE but you couldnt provide such but all you could was stutter. So you can see yourself now ![]() |
When would people accept the truth that there is never anything called TRINITY. We have been treating this particular topic yet christians supporting it have not been able to explain verses in the bible where Jesus distinguished himself from God, made us know that God sent him and He is superior to him. He even cried to the one who could save him, he had no knowledge of the end time and some other things. He prayed and begged the one that could save him when enemies wanted to kill him. He had to pray more than two times and his sweats were like thick blood and when on the cross, he shouted to the one who could save him, 'my Godm why has thou forsaken me?" Na wa o. Truth they say is very bitter. |
Go to seach engine and educate yourself and when you are done, I would come in to eductae you further |
@ifyalways please oooh my brothers and sisters i got a few questions and would very much appreciate your responsesI will back it up with hadith and Quranoc verses Insha Allah later @Mustay I don't understand you but they are very straight forward and self explanatory now ![]() |
@Javaprince @babs787I have never come across such and if you have please post it here so we have a look |
@Davidylan Surah 3:3 It is He Who sent down to thee (step by step), in truth, the Book, confirming what went before it; and He sent down the Law (of Moses) and the Gospel (of Jesus) before this, as a guide to mankind, and He sent down the criterion (of judgment between right and wrong).I read the above but did not see where God sent the BIBLE? So you can see that you happened to be the fool! and greatest liar I have debated with. Thou fool, read the above and shut up!Firstly, you need to seek forgiveness for calling someone a fool despite the fact that you are being brainwashed and love arguing blindly. Mathew 5:21-23 - You have heard that it was said to the people long ago, "Do not murder, and anyone who murders will be subject to judgment. But I tell you that anyone who is angry with his brother will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to his brother' Raca' is answerable to the Sanhedrin. But anyone who says, "You fool!" will be in danger of the fire of hell. This is your statement: what a foolish man. Did you not say the bible allah sent was lost and the one we had was a corruption? Now you understand them better than us?I asked you to provide me where I said so but all you could do was to exposed your ignorance further. |
Then if you happen to be a former muslim, I happened to be a christian before seeing the light and I am sure, you have never read the bible more than I do and still doing. May Allah open your eyes before its too late |
Sure I am |
@Tearface Thanks babs.I truly appreciate this.May Allah (SWT) reward with Jannatul Firdaus and may He continue to put all your affairs straight.I truly appreciate it and I owe you big time.Insha Allah I'll continue to put you in my prayers, that's the least I can do.Salam. I really need your prayer. Please pray for me, muslims in Palestine, Bosnia, Iraq, Nigeria and all Muslims around the world. Maa Salam |
@Davidylan Keep quiet. The MOST IMPORTANT ISSUE is WHO is the comforter proceeding from? WHICH FATHER?So you are not concerned about who the comforter is again? Imhotep described you perfectly, diverting topics and making no sensible explanation. Answer that first! If mohammad is the comforter then who is the FATHER sending him?Is that the topic or deviation when you happened to be lost but never mind, I am here to put you on the right track. Were Jesus, Isaiah, John etc not referred to as Slaves in your BIBLE? |
@David Look closely at the verse . . . it does not say in the names. A clear indication that those three bear the SAME name.Dont try giving flawless explanation. You should be able to show me where they preached trinity. So Jesus, Holy Spirit and God happens to be one but: Earthly God depended on heavenly God for survival Earthly God had little knowledge regarding some things in which heavenly God knows Earthly God begged and prayed to heavenly God to save him when enemies wanted to kill him Earthly God begged and prayed to himself, heavenly God to save from death and heavenly God sent part of Him, Holy Spirit to himself on earth that he was with him!! Earthly God cried to himself in heaven that why did he forsake him!! dictionary of religious knowledge? How stupid. \So David the ignoramus, show me trinity as defined by your book Do you know how a dictionary defines jihad? Does that make it correct? You should show me then? There is no need crying when you have no proof to support your false doctrine of trinity. Since you are that brainwahsed and inclined to falsehood without thinking, do you care to explain some biblical verses with regards to trinity? what a foolish man. Did you not say the bible allah sent was lost and the one we had was a corruption? Now you understand them better than us?Let us see who is really foolish. I will appreciate if if you would show me where I said that Allah sent THE BIBLE and if you are not able to do that, then you are the dunce, ok? Where did you leave your quran? Go and understand it first.I do and will even teach you your bible because it happens to be my origin, the book I started with. |
@Mukina Babs/Olabowale i'll ask themLol ![]() @Javaprince jazakumulahukhairanIslam is clear on the kind of wife you should be seeking. The Prophet (s.a.w) said: "A woman may be married for four reasons: 1, for her property, 2 her status, 3. her beauty, 4. and her religion; so try to get one who is religious, may you be blessed." True, beauty and charm is hard to resist, yet beauty does not last forever and does not guarantee you her obedience and religiousness. Financial status is dynamic, and so is worldly status, yet religion strongly establishes a household, and it may be that through your intention of marrying her for her religion, the rest is given to you anyway. In one hadith, the Prophet (s.a.w) said: "The whole world is a provision, and the best object of benefit of the world is the pious woman." This point has been stressed many times by Rasulallah (s.a.w), who himself, when asked what three things he loved the most, mentioned a pious woman. Rasulallah (s.a.w) replied that the best thing to be treasured is the devoted wife who causes pleasure when seen, obeys orders instantly and takes full care of herself and her husbands property when he is away. Abu Bakr once asked Rasulallah (s.a.w) what was the best thing to be treasured, and he (s.a.w) replied: "the tongue in remembrance of Allah, the heart filled with thanks to Allah, and a pious wife who helps in virtuous deeds". It is better to choose wife for the following attributes: -a Muslim woman -a believing woman -a devout woman -a true woman -a woman who is patient and constant -a woman who humbles herself -a woman who gives charity -a woman who fasts and denies herself -a woman who guards her chastity -a woman who engages much in Allah's praise. |
Javaprince and Javalove. Both of you should be friends .I love your wonderful post and please keep it |
@Davidylan ook at this hypocritical little imps.It seems you couldnt answer my post with regards to the holy spirit not being the comforter and want to shit to the use of father in the bible. You even showed your ignorance with regards to biblical verses. So if Muslims should be ashamed of being referred to as Slave, what of Jesus, John, Isaiah etc thast were being referred to as same? |
However there are some limitations to be observed in the matter of singing: 1. The subject matter of songs should not be against the teachings of Islam. For example, if the song is in praise of wine, it invites people to drink, singing or listening to it is haram. 2. Although the subject matter itself may not be against the teaching of Islam, the manner of singing may render it haram; this would be the case, for example if the singing were accompanied by suggestive sexual movement. 3. Islam fights against excess and extravagance in anything, even in worship, how then can it tolerate excessive involvement with entertainment? 4. Each individual is the best judge of himself. If a certain type of singing arouses one\s paasions, leads him towards sin, excites the animal instincts etc, he must avoid it, thus closing the door to temptations. 5. There is unanimous agreement that if singing is done in conjunction with haram activites - eg at a drinking party, or if it is mixed with obscenity and sin - haram. The Holy Prophet (saw) warned us: 'some people of my ummah will drink wine, calling it by another name, while they listen to singers accompanied by musical instruments, ' |
@Davidylan 2 Corinthians 13: 14 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.Baptising them in the name of Father, son and Holy Spirit is quite different from God is the father, the son and the holy Spirit, so do not try to smuggle that and give it wrong interpretation. The Jews also reject the trinity, in addition to the very first groups of Christianity such as the Ebonites, the Corinthians, the Basilidians, the Capocratians, and the Hypisistarians never know about trinity doctrine at all. The Arians, Paulicians and Goths also accepted Jesus (peace be upon him) as a prophet of God and against the trinity. A Dictionary of Religious Knowledge notes that many say that the Trinity "is a corruption borrowed from the heathen religions, and engrafted on the Christian faith." The Encyclopedia Americana comments: "Fourth century Trinitarianism did not reflect accurately early Christian teaching regarding the nature of God; it was, on the contrary, a deviation from this teaching. Carry on with your debate but will come in when I notice mis-interpretation of biblical verses. |
I wouldnt know why this thread exists because the doctrine of trinity has been refuted and those clamouring and supporting it have not been to provide concrete proof to back it up. |
Islam against Religious Extremism and Fanaticism. Religious Extremism: Islam is religion of moderation. Holy Qur'an defines Muslims as the well -balanced middle nation model for others (2:143) and advised them not to follow extremism in religious interpretation from Quran(4:171, 5:77, 22:78). The Holy Prophet warned Muslims: "Beware of Extremism in your religion as people before you were destroyed themselves because of their extremism", "Do not be hard upon yourself in your opinion in the matter of faith", " Always choose easy way in your religious way on matters of faith. Certainly religion is easy" (Collection of sayings of the Holy Prophet by Ahmed, Nisai, Al-Hakim and Ibne Maja). In my humble opinion Islam believes in a civil Society based on rule of law, anyone who creates chaos (Fitna or Fasad) in the society through terror can be treated as harabi (waging war against the society) and should be brought to justice accordingly by legal process. Islam and terrorism are contradictory terms opposed to each other. Islam condemns and rejects all forms of terror, killing without due process of law, injustice, corruption, tyranny and oppression. There is no justification for the usage of terms such as 'Islamic terrorists'. One of the distinctive features of the present world is the overwhelming presence of violence in our societies. The nature of indiscriminate and senseless violence is considered one of the prime threats to the world peace and security. The modern age has developed ingenious ways of inflicting violence upon people. I must make it clear that Islam upholds sanctity of human life as paramount, as the Holy Quran declares that killing one innocent human being is like killing the entire human race (5:32, 6:151, 17:33), like other faiths. Islam considers human life as sacred as the first and foremost basic right of a human being given by God is the right to live in peace and tranquility. However, taking a criminal's life by the state in order to administer justice is allowed in Islam as it upholds the rule of law, and helps maintains peace and security in the society. Only a proper and competent authority (i.e court of law) can decide whether an individual has forfeited his right to life by disregarding the right to life and peace of other human beings. The accused must be given full facilities under the law 'the right of defence'. Extra judicial killings are strictly prohibited in Islam. Religious Fanaticism First of all, what is fanaticism? It is a much used and abused term, not merely by contemporary writers and speakers. The exploitation of this term rather goes back deep into history. It has been not only used to silence opponents but also has been used to dub different religious as protagonists of violence. It is one of those terms that have always been used by different groups of people to suit their ends. There are three basic points that are to be kept in view. Firstly, I would treat as a fanatic one who is not open to reason, who is not prepared to think and argue, who instead of the logic of argument would employ the arbitrary use of authority. Secondly, the problem of violence is very central to what fanaticism is. Using the means, methods and techniques that create disorder, disaffection and violence can be called an integral part of the fanaticism. Mere use of force is not violence. Even a policeman uses force but this is not violence unless he transgresses certain limits. Thirdly, Very fundamental to fanaticism is the violating of those values, which have been accepted by humanity as its fundamental code of behaviour - respecting the difference, the rule of law, principles of natural and social justice. Double standards To stand for one's conviction is not fanaticism. To believe in certain values, to live for them, to work for them, to strive for them is not fanaticism. We are living in a strange world of double standards, 'double thought' and 'double talk'. If a Muslim works for Islam this is fanaticism. If a democrat goes to the extent of saying, as not one but many intellectuals have said, that those who want to change the democratic system through democratic means are rebels this is not considered fanaticism? Idealism and Fanaticism confused Conviction and bigotry is not the same thing. A man with a conviction also believes, but he believes on the basis of reason and argument and he is prepared to argue out his case. A bigot is not prepared to listen to anything that goes against his views. It is unfortunate that some writers and even top scholars have been in the habit of confusing these two and they have been calling our idealism, fanaticism, and calling the word fanaticism, idealism. Many writers have been accusing Islam of being fanatic, or being intolerant, of being a religion propagated by the sword and so on. The fact is that the history of inquisitions of the last centuries shows that hundreds of thousands of people were prosecuted simply for holding opinions that did not conform to the view of the religious authorities. Jews suffered for simply being Jews in the last century. I do not believe that any religious teachings teach hatred or violence. A different outlook In Islamic history you will find an outlook of a different nature. When the Romans conquered any country, the first thing they would do is mass massacre. When the Muslims entered any country, they would give guarantees of life, property and honour to all the non-belligerents. Even in war a Muslims are not allowed to kill an old person, a woman, and a child, those who are crippled or disabled. Not only that, even trees are not to be cut and crops are not to be burnt. The entire Islamic history does not know of the concept of mass massacre. I draw your attention to look to the actions of the Holy Prophet of Islam when he entered Makkah as victor. Everyone was offered complete amnesty. When Caliph Umar entered Jerusalem he was not even prepared to pray in a Church for fear that those who came after him may treat the place as a mosque and take it away from the Christians. But when the Crusaders there took the city of Jerusalem was total massacre of the population. What happened in Spain? Not a single Muslim or Jew was left unexecuted or un-exiled. It was the same in Sicily where all the mosques were demolished. Even in the last century the same practice was adopted in Bosnia, Kosovo and Chechnya and many other parts of the world. There is also the example of Greece where the entire Muslim population was either eliminated or driven out, and in parts of the Balkans where Muslims were in a clear majority, not only their position of power was annulled; in some cases their physical existence was not tolerated. Throughout the entire history of Islam you cannot find one single example of any Inquisition or mass murder or massacre. And may I add that if there had been any instance of law suppression or doing injustice in Muslim history, this had arisen from those who believed in so called liberalism or modernism and the object of oppression had been those who stood for the orthodox, pristine, unadulterated and unchanged teachings of Islam. The examples can be multiplied beyond number. The entire study of T. W. Arnold on "The Preaching of Islam" is a document from one of the leading orientalists saying that Muslims definitely have certain commitments. Diversity recognised, appreciated and celebrated Islam presents the concept that all human beings are equal and we are equal because we are all creatures of God with no distinctions of colour, race or country, or tribe or clan or anything else. One would find that fanaticism is generated in the last analysis either from any of these false prejudices, when you try to group humanity into certain watertight compartments. One cannot change the colour of his skin; one cannot change his place of birth. If one believes in any of these standards, then rational fusion of the human race is not possible and you become intolerant towards others. In Islam, the rational fusion is possible for whatever tribe You come from, from whatever race you come, whatever colour you may have, whatever territory You might be born in, whatever language you speak, you are one, you can be one. You belong to one race the human race, the one family the human family. You belong to one brotherhood. Diversity among fellow human beings must be recognised, appreciated and valued in all aspects of life. The majority community is always judged the way it treats its minority community. Ends cannot justify means Another point is that Islam is very unique and firm in asserting that the ends cannot justify the means. A source from where fanaticism and intolerance have most often come is the mistaken belief that ends justify means. This means that to achieve even good ends you could resort to evil means. The principle that Islam has enunciated is that : "Good and bad are not equal. Replace evil by good". (Holy Qur'an 41:34) If you fight falsehood with falsehood it is falsehood that prevails. If you replace vice with vice, it is vice which triumphs. If you change evil by evil, it is evil which is victorious. Islam says that evil is to be eliminated by good. If you pursue this technique then only you would be able to fill the earth with goodness, and justice, and peace and fellow feeling. Islam has struck at the roots of fanaticism. If you reflect upon the system that Islam has given, you would find that fanaticism has no place in it but idealism is the lifeblood of it. In the Qur'an it has been mentioned that the mission for which this Muslim nation has been created is that you call people to goodness. As far as the wrong (munkar) is concerned, you are permitted to eliminate it. But as far as the truth and virtue (ma'ruf) is concerned, it is not to be enforced by power. You can very easily see that Islam has clearly discriminated between idealism and fanaticism. It has done everything to generate in us real idealism, noble idealism, virtuous idealism, and to protect us from the evil influences of fanaticism. The Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) has said that Islam is a religion of the middle path. The Qur'an has called the Muslim nation 'Ummat al-Wusta', the people of the middle and model nation, the people who maintain balance and equilibrium in all their affairs. Adhering to idealism, protecting and avoiding the extremes of fanaticism - this is the middle path and it is this path which Islam invites to all humanity. Through Education, diplomacy, Dialogue and firmness Muslims are urged to deal with extremism and fanaticism in the world. Roots of Extremism and Fanaticism. There are Muslims who claim to be religious but try to impose their views over others by force or violence. They forget that Islamic teaching advocates the fundamental principle to respect for individual freedom of conscience and belief. Islam believes that freedom of belief is a basic God given right to all human beings. Extremism and Fanaticism is alien to Islam. However there are a few verses of the Holy Quran, which have been interpreted in such a way that some Muslim may take a view to impose their views over others. For example The Holy Quran commands Muslim to live and rule their lives according to the revelled message of God. If any Muslim does not decide according to the Holy Quran then he is not only wrongdoer, a rebel, disobedient but a non-believer also (5:44- 47). These verses were interpreted by some that if a Muslim ruler has completely abandon the Islamic Law then it is legitimate to disobey him and change him by force. They also believe that, as Islam does not make any distinction between communities of believers and the Islamic State - because the State is simply a political arm to establish common good, it is important that Islamic Law must be established within Islamic societies. Due to their political ends they establish effective ways to promote their views by every means available to them. In my opinion, fanaticism, terrorism and extremism are symptom of a problem, not the actual cause. In order to combat and eradicate these evils totally our long-term goal should be to eliminate the underlying social and political causes which breed them. Paralleling our actions against terrorism, we must have equally vigorous efforts to enhance freedom, human dignity, justice and humanitarian values. Some of the possible factors behind the violent terrorist’s acts may include: 1) Hatred and prejudice 2) Fear and powerlessness 3) Occupation and domination 4) Injustice and suffering 5) Corruption and greed 6) Oppression and Control 7) Dictatorship and total authority Debt, poverty and hunger9) Frustration and helplessness 10) Dislike of inclusive Society Allah halam. May Allah guide us to that which is right and forbid us from evils |
Creating the Balance Islam does not subscribe to the type of asceticism where we purify our hearts and yet remain immersed in political, economic or social corruption. Purification must encompass our entire life, the privacy of our thoughts as well as their social manifestations in our daily life. Everything must be in conformity with Allah's will. This will of God also requires you to seek and maintain a delicate balance between the various obligations that demand your attention; between your obligations to Allah, your obligations towards others and your obligations towards yourself. The Prophet advised us against extremism of any kind. It is reported that he said to Abdullah ibn Amr, Have I heard right that you fast everyday and stand in prayer all night? Abdullah replied, "Yes, O Messenger of Allah" The Prophet said, "Do not do that. Fast, as well as eat and drink. Stand in prayer, as well as sleep. For your body has a right upon you, your eyes have a right upon you, your wife has a right upon you, and your guest has a right upon you." (Muslim) Unless you approach purification as an all-embracing process, you will find that your life is compartmentalized, certain parts impeding the development of others. This can only result in a life of disharmony and unhappiness. Approached as a comprehensive and all-embracing process, however, you will find that each part of your life will complement some other part. This should, God willing, make your struggle on the path to God and Paradise easier and full of grace. As you struggle to make headway on the path to God, always remember that you have an excellent example before you. This is the example of the Prophet Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace. Often we would like to emulate our sports heroes, our parents, our teachers, our friends or others who attract our attention. For your spiritual development, however, the most beautiful example is that of the Prophet. Allah says in the Quran: {You have, indeed, in the Messenger of God an excellent exemplar, whoever places his hopes in God and the Final Day, and who remembers Allah much.}(Al-Ahzab 33: 21) Blessings and Benefits The decision to purify and develop yourself requires that you clearly define the path and consider the ways and means to achieve Paradise . This whole process will not only purify your heart, but also affect your entire life and the will of Allah will become so much easier for you to follow. Following the Divine Will is, of course, purification itself. Soon, all your efforts will be directed towards the ultimate goal – the pleasure of Allah and Paradise . Know that every sin can be effaced through forgiveness, and forgiveness is a sure way to Paradise . As you strive to better yourself, then, simultaneously and continuously pray for forgiveness for all your shortcomings. {God says: And whoever repents and believes and works righteous deeds, God changes evil deeds into good ones, and God is Ever-Forgiving, Merciful.}(Al-Furqan 25:70) It is a misconception to believe that simply by setting up Paradise as the ultimate goal, one can get there without any further effort. It is also a misconception that Paradise can solely be achieved by concentrating only on certain aspects of life, the "religious and the spiritual." The very fact that Paradise is the ultimate objective means that purification must be pursued in all aspects of life, and in life as a whole. Consider, for example, the following: · Is not honesty a means to enter Paradise ? · Will not a sense of responsibility enable me to enter Paradise ? · Will not striving to fulfill the needs of fellow human beings make me deserve Paradise ? · Will not abstaining from vain talk and aimless actions bring me closer to Paradise ? · Is not consciousness of the best use of my time a key to Paradise ? · Will not keeping promises and offering prayer on time, which are distinguishing traits of the righteous, put me on the highway to Paradise ? · Must not all of the above be sought to attain Paradise ? Every effort that is legitimate and is aimed at attaining Paradise is also an integral part of the process of purification. Insha' Allah (God willing), if you take heed of all the prerequisites, blessings and benefits of purification, you will surely find the right environment, the true companionship and brotherhood and the most appropriate training programs to make the task of self development easier and more rewarding. {So give the good news to My servants who listen to the word [of God], then follow the beauty in it. Such are they whom God has guided. And such are they who are endowed with understanding } (Az-Zumar 39:17-18 |

Words of Muhammad (pbuh) Regarding the AntiChrist Sahih Muslim Hadith 7039 Narrated by Abu Hurayrah Allah's Apostle (peace be upon him) said: Hasten to do good deeds before six things happen: the rising of the sun from the west, the smoke, the Dajjal, the beast and (the death) of one you or the general turmoil. Sahih Muslim Hadith 6931 Narrated by Hudhayfah ibn Usayd Ghifari Allah's Apostle (peace be upon him) came to us all of a sudden as we were (busy in a discussion) He said: What do you discuss about? (the Companions) said: We are discussing about the Last Hour. Thereupon he said: It will not come until you see ten signs before and (in this connection) he made a mention of the smoke, Dajjal, the beast, the rising of the sun from the west, the descent of Jesus son of Mary (Allah be pleased with him), The Gog and Magog, and landslides in three places, one in the east, one in the west and one in Arabia at the end of which fire would burn forth from the Yemen, and would drive people to the place of their assembly. Sahih Muslim Hadith 6979 Narrated by AbuHurayrah Allah's Apostle (peace be upon him) said: You have heard of the city, one side of which is inclined and the other is on the coast (Constantinople). They said: Yes, Allah's Apostle (peace be upon him). Thereupon he said: The Last Hour will not come until seventy thousand people from Banu Isra'il attack it. When they land there, they will neither fight with weapons nor shower arrows but will only say: "There is no god but Allah and Allah is the Greatest," and one side of it will fall. Thawr (one of the narrators) said: I think that he said: The area on the coast. Then they will say for the second time: "There is no god but Allah and Allah is the Greatest," and the other side will also fall. They will say: "There is no god but Allah is the Greatest," and the gates will be opened for them and they will enter. They will be collecting spoils of war and distributing them among themselves when a noise will be heard and it will be said: Verily, the Dajjal has come. Thus they will leave everything there and turn to (confront) him. Sahih Muslim Hadith 7034 Narrated by Anas ibn Malik Allah's Apostle (peace be upon him) said: The Dajjal would be followed by seventy thousand Jews of Isfahan wearing Persian shawls. Sahih Muslim Hadith 6924 Narrated by AbuHurayrah Allah's Apostle (peace be upon him) said: The Last Hour will not come until the Romans land at al-A'maq or in Dabiq. An army consisting of the best (soldiers) of the people on Earth at that time will come from Medina (to oppose them). When they arrange themselves in ranks, the Romans will say: Do not stand between us and those (Muslims) who took prisoners from among us. Let us fight them. The Muslims will say: Nay, by Allah, we shall never turn aside from you and from our brethren so that you may fight them. They will then fight and a third (part) of the army, whom Allah will never forgive, will run away. A third (part of the army), which will be constituted of excellent martyrs in Allah's eyes, would be killed. The third who will never be put on trial will win and they will be the conquerors of Constantinople. As they are busy in distributing the spoils of war (amongst themselves) after hanging their swords by the olive trees, Satan will cry: The Dajjal has taken your place among your families. They will then come out, but it will be of no avail. When they reach Syria, he will come out while they are still preparing themselves for battle, drawing up the ranks. Certainly, the time of prayer will come and then Jesus (peace be upon him), son of Mary, descend and will lead them in prayer. When the enemy of Allah see him, it will (disappear) just as salt dissolves in water and if he (Jesus) were not to confront them at all, even then it would dissolve completely. Allah would kill them by his hand and he would show them their blood on his lance (the lance of Jesus Christ). Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 4.554 Narrated by Abu Huraira Allah's Apostle said, "Shall I not tell you about the Dajjal a story of which no prophet told his nation? The Dajjall is one-eyed and will bring with him what will resemble Hell and Paradise, and what he will call Paradise will be actually Hell; so I warn you (against him) as Noah warned his nation against him." Sahih Muslim Hadith 7037 Narrated by AbuQatadah We used to go to Imran b. Husayn passing in front of Hisham b. Amir. He, one day, said: You pass by me (in order) to go to some persons but (amongst the living persons) none remained in the company of Allah's Apostle (peace be upon him) more than I and none knows more hadiths than I. I heard Allah's Apostle (peace be upon him) said: There would be no creation (creating more trouble) than the Dajjal right from the creation of Adam to the Last Hour. Sahih Muslim Hadith 7023 Narrated by Abdullah ibn Amr Someone came to him and said: What is this hadith that you narrate that the Last Hour will come at a certain time? Thereupon he said: Hallowed be Allah, there is no god but Allah (or words to the same effect). I have decided that I shall not narrate anything to anyone now. I have only said that you will see after some time an important event: that the (sacred) House (Ka'bah) will be burnt and it definitely happen. He then reported that Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) said: The Dajjal will appear in my Ummah and he will stay (in the world) for forty--I cannot say whether he meant forty days, forty months or forty years. Allah will then send Jesus, son of Mary, who will resemble Urwah ibn Mas'ud. He (Jesus Christ) will chase him and kill him. Then people will live for seven years, during which time there will be no rancour between any two persons. After that Allah will send a cold wind from the direction of Syria. None will survive on Earth, having a speck of good in him or faith in him: he will die. Even if some among you were to enter the innermost part of the mountain, this wind would reach that place also and cause your death. I heard Allah's Apostle (peace be upon him) as saying: Only the wicked people will survive and they will be as careless as birds with the characteristics of beasts. They will never appreciate good nor condemn evil. Then Satan will come to them, in human form, and would say: Don't you respond? They will say: What do you order us to do? He will command them to worship the idols but, in spite of this, they will have an abundance of sustenance and lead comfortable lives. Then the trumpet will be blown and he who hears it will bend his neck to one side and raise it from the other side. The first one to hear that trumpet will be the person who is busy in setting right the cistern meant for supplying water to the camels. He will faint and the other people will also faint. Then Allah will send or He will cause to be sent rain which will be like dew and there will grow out of it the bodies of people. Then the second trumpet will be blown and they will stand up and begin to look (around). Then it will be said: O people, go to your Lord. They will be made to stand there and they will be questioned. Then it will be said: Bring out a group (of them) for the Hell-Fire. It will be asked: How much? It will be said: Nine hundred and ninety-nine out of one thousand for the Hell-Fire. That will be the day that will make the children old because of its terror and that will be the day about which it has been said: "On the day when the shank will be uncovered". Sahih Muslim Hadith 5352 Narrated by Mughirah ibn Shu'bah None else had asked more questions from Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) about the Dajjal than I, but he simply said in a (light mood): My son, why are you worried because of him? He will not harm you. I said: The people think that he would have with him rivers of water and mountains of bread, whereupon he said: He would be more insignificant in the sight of Allah than all these things (belonging to him). Sahih Muslim Hadith 3187 Narrated by AbuHurayrah Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) said: Dajjal will come from the eastern side with the intention of attacking Medina until he will get down behind Uhud. Then the angels will turn his face towards Syria and there he will perish. Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 9.239 Narrated by Anas bin Malik The Prophet said, "Ad-Dajjal will come and encamp at a place close to Medina and then Medina will shake thrice whereupon every Kafir (disbeliever) and hypocrite will go out (of Medina) towards him." Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 9.242 Narrated by Abdullah bin Umar Allah's Apostle said. "While I was sleeping, I saw myself (in a dream) performing Tawaf around the Ka'ba. Behold, I saw a reddish-white man with lank hair, and water was dropping from his head. I asked, "Who is this?' They replied, 'The son of Mary.' Then I turned my face to see another man with a huge body, red complexion and curly hair and blind in one eye. His eye looked like a protruding out grape. They said (to me), He is Ad-Dajjal." The Prophet added, "The man he resembled most is Ibn Qatan, a man from the tribe of Khuza'a." Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 9.244 Narrated by Hudhaifa The Prophet said about Ad-Dajjal that he would have water and fire with him: (what would seem to be) fire, would be cold water and (what would seem to be) water, would be fire. Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 6.230 Narrated by Anas bin Malik Allah's Apostle used to invoke thus: "O Allah! I seek refuge with You from miserliness; laziness; from old geriatric age; the punishment in the grave; from the affliction of Ad-Dajjal; and from the afflictions of life and death. Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 9.505 Narrated by Anas The Prophet said, "Allah did not send any prophet but that he warned his nation of the one-eyed liar (Ad-Dajjal). He is one-eyed while your Lord is not one-eyed. The word 'Kafir' (unbeliever) is written between his two eyes." Please I didnt want to post all here for easy reading.
