It is possible the doctor is aware of the deficiency of the government hospital in handling such a delicate procedure which is why he suggested a private hospital that has equipment in good working condition.

Unfortunately, the patient's family (and a lot of you) have misinterpreted this move as one trying to corner a patient to another hospital.

The doctor has no case to answer. The patient and family should take up their grief with DELSUTH admin if they are really serious.

No, you are! Does the story even sound like the whole truth? C'mon! Do you think a sane medical Dr will leave a patient, half opened, and insist the family must bring the said patient to his clinic? Does it sound logical? Let's stop being unnecessarily sentimental, please!

There is more to this story. I know most docs have private practice and while I agree they can codedly direct you to their comfort zone, they won't do it openly and at the risk of losing their jobs and licence!
They should be mad at the hospital management and not the doctor, abi what can he do with a bad equipment or power outage?

I believe they have the largest concentration of cows in naija. They can start generating revenue from there, while they use their IGR to search for oil.
