AlexBells: I'm Igbo and this is no sarcasm, take this to the action era quick or Yoruba may not have much time, We Igbos will follow the food to be straight, if you let the North call the short on food you let them win, either you break open your borders then get food from outside let the food game continue but whoever wins this food issue wins, both side does not have more weapons superior to the East so we have the weapons and industries but not the food A true Igbo man will definitely not speak like this under the circumstances, so I give up on this discussion |

Iamgrey5: The South west have a lot of retaliate
Stop petroleum from reaching North
Stop finished goods from reaching the north etc.
But the best thing here is that the best response is to aggressively invest in Agriculture and help build our economy again.
Lagos will suffer the most from the Agricultural blockade than other South West states, but other South West states can use to opportunity to establish supply chain in Lagos that seem to have lost to Hausas.
This blockade is a blessing in disguise.
So why North continue to depend on us, we can become independent of them. This can be achieved if Yorubas are ready to fight it out with the remaining foolanis that are still killing, raping and maiming farmers. Unfortunately, our brothers and sisters in Ogun are fleeing instead of fighting. If the governor's can support the farmers, I think we can even export food! The Hausa beans we consume is preserved with poisonous chemicals and are not even export quality, even their yams. We can do even better than them in Agriculture if we have our state governments' support. Unfortunately again, sycophancy and hypocrisy will not let our governors speak for us. We are truly on our own now; we either bend or break! BTW, The OP's hatred for the SW is tending towards a maddening obsession and it'll consume him faster than he can imagine. |

AlexBells: I'm not a war monger but the war started a while ago, the truth is that the cost of living in the West will be way high that so many people will not be able to withstand, You will still buy Northern food just that you may have to buy it indirectly and at way higher price.
With higher cost of living people will live Yorubaland, which means that on the next phase Yorubas could be struck without hitting at other tribes who must have left, Lagos in particular is out of the Equation for now, lagos will get food supply, from the East and the Rest but what about places like Ibadan a lesser accessed part of Yorubaland.
People are already leaving for IDP camps in nearby Yoruba countries it is only a matter of time before others leave. Are Yorubas going to desert their lands, it is not a matter of talk, hunger is bad, and hunger with violence is the aworse.
I think the era of diplomacy is over, the west should act when they still have time. If you're Yoruba, I'm ashamed of you! If you're Igbo, your sarcasm stinks, if you are a Northerner, you're a fool |

We said this was their game plan, but my Yoruba brothers and sisters didn't believe, they even labelled those of us that saw through the Northerners' deceit ipobs. Note: they have no love for any Southerner, not SE, not SW and not SS is spared in their takeover plans. We just have to resist them as one...if only our Muslim brothers and sisters in the SW will hear |

It looks like a hopeless situation because the farmers are overwhelmed and are now visibly scared of the Fulani herders. However, there are a few other options they can explore like solar powered electric fencing to prevent cows and herders from grazing on farms. To cut cost, farmers can come together as a group, get state funding. They can also get Ijare 'thunder' or other traditional 'help' and finally, the crybaby state governors can get amotekun and farmers AK-47s like their Northern counterparts! |

So if foolanis make up 80% of the criminals, are we wrong to say foolanis are criminals? You want Southern governors to synergize with their Northern counterparts when you already told them something else in your caucus meeting? Your kinsmen said they won't bring food and meat to the South when they realized they've achieved their aim of ensuring a zero or small harvest year, you also codedly closed the Southern borders to ensure we won't be able to import food so we will beg. But your plans will not work because this is a wake-up call for Southerners to force the state governments to fund agriculture heavily so they can learn to protect their investments even if it's with AK-47S |
