bluefilm:This is a law enforcement request and not individual request. Usually law enforcement are giving easier process to follow.. |
gbadexy:Which airport in Egypt? Last you communicated with her, did she tell you what terminal she was on? Note to all and myself: whenever you have anyone stranded in a place and maybe their battery is dying or what not.. just tell them to stay in one place maybe a big business like shoprite etc..or a bank or a terminal (if it's an airport) and let you know what terminal that is.. In that way, it is easier to trace them.. now in our situation here.. everyone, even the airline will see the task as voluminous to look around in the airport for her.. but if the search area is narrowed down , it will be easier.. Also, if you can assess the airline here in Nigeria.. I am sure they will have a way to communicate with their counterparts and maybe make announcements in airport and try to find her. Cheers!! |
All this missing people here and there but there are technologies out there, easily accessible to help solve these cases.. What happened to reaching out to her phone company to identify where last her phone pinged and narrow the search.. The phone company can check her last call, last text so give law enforcement some directions.. Why are this things that hard to do?? |
post=124423365:Sue him on what grounds?? |
DesChyko: ![]() |
baralatie:Bourdillion |
baralatie:This could be the possible reason why the case was thrown out.. There are many deals that happens behind the scene that we don't know.. From the moment he was arrested, I knew he wouldn't be prosecuted.. the new FG wanted to generate a buzz since CBN policies affected many Nigerians.. FG thought people will be clapping for them for nabbing him but the streets are already wise ![]() |
But wait oh.. How can Tinubu request $800m for palliative and pays house holds N1,600 which is like give or take $2-$3. Since Nigeria population is say 240 million, shouldn't all of us be getting at least $2million each?? ![]() |
baralatie:He reports to and follows the order of the president. If the president felt he was out of line, he would have fired him but he didnt.. |
Bovis:Then they should have invited the president his boss.. or start article of impeachment if they felt the presidents action was egregious. |
tesppidd:Remember Lagos was the Capital until Dec 1991 and Tinubu came to power in 1999.. just under 8 years after moving the capital from Lagos to FCT. So Lagos was still sound in infrastructure (compared to other states in the country).. So Tinubu built on top of that.. Now the country was in shambles and he took power... country - 36 states have been backwards in the last 8 years.. Compared to lagos that was way ahead of its peers when Tinubu took over as the governor 8 years after the capital was moved from Lagos to FCT. |
While I was aggrieved by CBN policy under the former governor... He was acting under the directive of his boss. The President. Also, the Senate and House are culpable also in the sense they could have invited him for questioning to understand what's going on but they didnt.. Thr CBN governor is just the man in the middle and there are many people responsible for the plight Nigerians faced at the time.. In my view.. the most blame should go to our legislatures.. the senate and the House of Rep. |
NgeneUkwenu:Yes, he did say he lives with them and they are not terrorists but what Obi is basically saying now is that the sit at homes are not directed by IPOB.. The sit at homes are directed by criminals according to him. |
So since they requested N500billion for palliative and Nigeria's population is 210 million , how will they share this? Are they going to give every Nigerian N2bn?? |
Assuming the story is real.. Here's my suggestion: call her one on one and ask her.. (But first, what do you intend to achieve by confronting her??) But before you do this, you need to work on yourself so you don't find yourself in a terrible state mentally. Just accept the fact that the kids are not yours and obviously she slept with someone else.. then with that taken care of.. the mission is just to find out (whatever you hoped to achieve by asking her) or maybe who the real father is, if they still have anything going on? What's the real father's position on those kids? Does the real father knows the kids are his? Does anyone else either from your family or her family knows about this? Then atleast you know wetin dey sup... But keep in mind, you share part of this blame too, this is one of the reasons why couples should be honest with themselves.. if you had told her about this from the get go , at least she knows and she might even suggest this or that but the bottom line is both of you are in it together and everyone was honest about it.. I saw a video one time about a guy that dumped the wife to be on the day of the wedding because he just found out the lady have had a kid before and didn't tell her.. But do you remember Cesc Fabregas? Ok, his current wife is 12 years older than him and already had 2 kids from a previous marriage before getting married to Cesc... So the difference here was Cesc knew all this and their was honesty (at least on that part grin) in their relationship and they went on to have 3 more kids together. |

tolue42:You have a point tho but Nigerias problem is not over population (in my opinion). The problem we have is the lack of utilizing our own resources. Example: Education, the decent nursery, primary, secondary education we have are mostly private schools. Healthcare: the decent hospitals are privately owned. We have just inaugurated many new governments in different state including the president and they will soon launch their bills for next year.. Watch the billions and trillions they will quote on those bills for infrastructure, this and that and few months later they will pass another supplementary bill... Then check in 4 years time how much of those big words item in the bill was accomplished to a standard level or even completed at all. Have you tried or known someone seeking approval for a building plan? The amount of bureaucracy and corruption in the process is overwhelming and yet, no sort of inspection or oversight in the building process.. the office people just want your money. Forex: how can a bank tell their customer that wants to pay their foreign supplier or their kids school fees or medical bills abroad to go and buy dollar from Bureau DE change and come and pay into the bank.. the customer goes to BDC and buys dollar N780/ $ from BDC but the same bank will sell the same $ to BDC wayyyyy lower than N780, sometimes N410. Now look this up, if you are a U.K company buying goods in China or paying your kids school fees in the U.S. do you go to BDC? You simply walk into your bank and transact business with the official exchange rate.. you see how much money you saved in the process?? So in Nigeria, we know our problems, we just don't want to do the right things to get our economy moving. |

Ridiculing someone that is doing a legit business?? No wonder they support a drug baron!! |
GeneralDae:There are thousands of plea deals going on every corner of the U.S at the moment.. There have been millions of plea deals done in the U.S in the past 30 years... You could always research and dig in to find more information.. While you are digging.. remember not every detail of the deals are mentioned in the court papers and sometimes plea deals are not even mentioned in court papers even tho it happened.. When you are a seasoned investigating journalist or a trial lawyer.. or being around in the field in one way or the other... if you see a case and the outcome.. then you can easily put 2 and 2 together and understand what happened. |
GeneralDae:Even during Ronald Reagans tenure with his war on drugs approach.. There were plea deals in drug cases.. Again, everything depends on the circumstances and facts surrounding a case.. what prosecutors have to work with.... |
M4A1carbine:If you are a court room brawler ( litigation/trial lawyer).. flipping your witness during cross is one of those many nightmares.. Remember this is someone you brought to boster your case and their testimony against any part of your case is usually regarded high because you can't say the other party prepped them to say this or say that.. |
GeneralDae:'Supposedly' that's hypothetical. Again, recall in one of my posts I mentioned the guidelines 30 years ago and now are not usually the same.. Again, there might be other circumstances surrounding a case that are not captured in court papers or maybe it was captured.. All we see online was the final disposition of the case and not the court transcript of what happened day to day in court and during investigation of the case. |
Lotanna2:Who was driving?? My question was, did Mr. Obi or through his lawyers assert that Mr. Tinubu was 'convicted' by a court of law in the U.S? |
GeneralDae:How big is big?? This happens all the time.. Depending on the complexity of the case and the records of the suspect.. |
Lotanna2:Did Mr. OBI'S petition indicate Mr. Tinubu was convicted by a court of law in the U.S?? |
lapintoz:One of the many problems we face in this country is in your comment.. Deviating from an issue. While it was reprehensible what happened in Enugu and Ebonyi.. This post here was not about that... It was about sometime else and we shouldn't deviate from that... There's another thread that was created for those incidents and they are here in the front page.. |
onuman:💯 |
Lotanna2:No conviction 'could' be part of a plea deal.. Plea deal is not just prosecutor slapping an offer on a table and the defense swallowing it.. remember it is called a 'deal'.. in making deals, you give me this and I give you that.. |
GeneralDae:Well, there's always tricks to a trade... they don't teach everything in law school.. |
GeneralDae:I never said their was. The purpose of my post was to say that it could be a possibility. Also plea deal are 'not always' advertised in court documents.. Recall, the court case was over 30 years ago and the guidelines then and now are not always the same. |
GeneralDae:I am not arguing with anyone.. I just stated my opinion... you can state yours as well and we can always agree to disagree.. In real life scenario, prosecutors often offers a plea deal with a suspect.. basically if you make their life easy... they make yours easy as well.. Someone that was picked up as a suspect in a crime depending on the complexity of the case and the corporation of the suspect.. prosecution sometimes offer them a soft landing.. |
