It's like every one is on the "follow do" tile crazy, including me as much as I hate to admit it.

Well, in my defense I did search for reputable company that could do it.. no one, the couple that I found I didn't like the picture of their previous jobs.. I just said make I kukuma just do tiles to avoid story that touches.

The flat where I grow up was built in the early 70s had this terrazzo flooring, still looks nice to this day. Very low maintenance flooring.

Igbo bride price is not that high.. what could be high there is other things requested in the list like 20 tubers of yam.. 10 carton of this and that ..

But the actual bride price is usually not that high. And typically what the girls family normally do is, if the bride price was say 20k, the father of the bride will take 2k and give the rest back to the inlaws and tell them , his daughter is not for sale.. let them take care of his daughter etc...

(At least thats what my father did and I have been at other places in igbo land where the same was done as well).

In Igbo culture, the widow and her family do not return any bride price upon the death of the husband as the marriage ended with the death of the husband, not divorce.

That's incorrect.

Respectfully speaking, may be in your hometown that's how it is done.

But I have seen a scenario in igbo land were after the mourning period they ask the widow if she wants to stay with the husband family or move on and go back to her parents house.

Then if she chose to move on and move back to her parents house. Bride price is returned (at a later date).

Generally, one cannot pay a bride price twice on top of one lady. The old bride price have to be returned before they can pay the new bride price.

I will also add, her family should return her bride price if she wants to move on with her life.

Although I don't know if I agree with this next line buy returning the bride price, the late husband's family could collect everything that their brother bought for her.. if she is living in the late brothers house, they could kick her out , some might even go to the extent of collecting the kids from her (if they have a kid together).

But yet still, the first thing first. Have a candid conversation with her and you both can figure a way forward.

Couldn't punch newspaper before rushing to publish this news obtain both judgments from the federal court and the appeal court , have their legal department summarize that in few paragraphs and report authentic news at least we know the actual facts of the issues.

I would like to use this opportunity to seek guidance based on the issue I have on ground. I believe it's igbos especially elderly person who is in a better position to give me a reasonable explanation. I told my mum my girlfriend is from ohafia, abia state and she instantly told me I can't get married to her. I have made some research personally and found out people from other part of igboland marry from those places. Now my question is why are they strongly rejecting her cos it doesn't make sense to call everybody from different local government in abia state OSU.

I've made more research on the girls family and found out they are king makers and her father belongs to eze's cabinet.

Her father and mine are no longer alive. They both have a traditional title and belong to eze's cabinet too. Please I need your advice cos I really want marry this girl. I also know that people encounter alot of difficulties when they want to get married. So I need a clarification from someone who has extensive knowledge on igbo tradition. Thank you

Did you or your elders did a research about this girls background to determine if she is osu or did your people assume she is one based on her LGA??

I don't know whether this story is real or fake..

But this things do happen... many times people don't admit it to their friend or siblings but hec yeah I know quite a few people that had dame regret..

Actually I was speaking with a work friend yesterday and one thing one thing out of the blue... she started telling me about her ex boy friend this one that one.. this is someone I have know for 10 yrs plus and she have been married for that 10 yrs..

So this stories are eye openers of the things happening in our society.

Just like many of us will want to swear up and down that we never cried or felt down after a breakup.. grin

even if we did cry that's not one thing many if us would admit easily grin

but it does happen.

Whether this story is fake or not.. this things do happen.

Many people ditch someone thinking the grass is greener on the other side but alas! They were set for rude awakening.

I personally know a guy Like that.. broke up with his girlfriend because of one thing one thing.. girl is happily married, bros is regretting not sticking it out with her..

But ship have sailed big time.. and this guy is ready to marry the girl and her 4 kids that's how much pain he is in.. he felt he missed out on love.

Dude is very miserable person.. you won't know until he opens up to you.

So I don't know about this particular story posted here.. but I do know similar things happen in our today's society so for all to evaluate their options very well and make a good decision.
