PoliticsRe: Governor Aregbesola Challenges Man Who Refused To Respect Him by bakynes(m): 3:59pm On Nov 20, 2017

That doesn't make it wrong if you respect deserving leaders
Whether he is a deserving Governor or not that's his personal decision,no one should force it on anyone. We are not in the era of Monarchy where u have to bow before the King whether you like it or not, this is the era of democracy.
PoliticsRe: Governor Aregbesola Challenges Man Who Refused To Respect Him by bakynes(m): 3:44pm On Nov 20, 2017
olabrad:
Respect for a DESERVING public office holder is not an African mentality; it is a global thing. Go to advanced countries of the world and see how reasonable people conduct themselves.
It is not a must, the Governor approached him and said he should stand up and respect him, if he doesn't stand up it's his decision, the Governor is not a Monarch and so therefore he is not his Subject. Elected Leaders are working for us, we put them there to manage our collective wealth, stop seeing them as your Oga, People chat on the street with Mayors, Governors of their states in developed countries they don't demand respect from people that elected them, you give it to them at your will not them demanding for it like its their right.
PoliticsRe: Governor Obiano: "Anambra Made Lagos What It Is" by bakynes(m): 3:34pm On Nov 20, 2017
YelloweWest:
Don't be ignorant.
The SS is very distinct from igbo.

I'm Ijaw!
Whether u agree or not. The fact remain that the igbos have contributed greatly to the development of Lagos and the multinational companies are almost all oil sector driven.

That oil comes from my backyard...
No doubt we all know Igbos are contributing greatly to the revenue base(not development) of the state. It is normal wherever you are making your money from you have to pay tax, in the real sense "Lagos made Anambrans" because if it were the other way round they would have rather preferred to take their businesses to Anambra and pay taxes there for development.

As far as I know all the big Real Estate players in Lagos are Yorubas. The Yoruba controlled State govt are the ones building the infrastructures not Igbos.

That is the kind of statement the Governor should have made not Anambrans made Lagos, before Igbos knew a place like Lagos existed it already had its first cable telephone network in Africa so what the f*uck is this drunkard Governor saying.
PoliticsRe: Governor Obiano: "Anambra Made Lagos What It Is" by bakynes(m): 3:23pm On Nov 20, 2017
See Governor wey people elect saying rubbish, if he had made a statement like Anambrans contribute hugely in Lagos that still make a bit sense to say "Anambrans made Lagos", a place that has existed and developed with the first cable telephone network before the existence of Nigeria itself, a place the British used as their seat of administration before any black man knew what was called Mirror. A place developed before any Igbo even knew such a place existed.

You should respect a monarch or politician that deserves respect. Your attitude is immature and blind. You are ruled by stupid ego that will lead to your ultimate and irreparable fall.
He is a Democratic elected leader not a Monarch, he is a Civil servant, the man doesn't have to stand, Osun citizens are not his subject but his boss, they elected him. Stop the African mentality.

Multinational companies right?? If i may ask what industry are these big companies in that pay the big taxes??

Yeah....
Big Mumu, Airtel, MTN, Etisalat,Chevron,Mobil,Total,Conoco Philips,, Julius Berger,Schulumberger,Swisspharm,GSK,Unilever,Nestle,Cadbury etc they are owned by Anambrans ba?

Every other tribe can see how stupid some of these Igbos are. Always Chest beating, boasting what they are not.
PoliticsRe: Governor Obiano: "Anambra Made Lagos What It Is" by bakynes(m): 2:47pm On Nov 20, 2017
ChimaAgbalajob:
What he said About impact of Anambrarians on Lagos is true.

Even Ambode and Fashola know its a fact. But NL miscreants will like ti be funny.
You guys should start using your brains oh! So Anambrans made Lagos? Are they paying more taxes than the hundreds of multinationals in Lagos or the Dangotes,Otedolas and Adenuga? Use your brain.
PoliticsRe: Governor Obiano: "Anambra Made Lagos What It Is" by bakynes(m): 2:44pm On Nov 20, 2017
Movic1:
Do you know the numbers of multinational companies in Lagos? Do you know the millions they pay as tax? It's not by number. The amount 1 of those companies pay as tax will dwarf all the whole tax the Anambrarians are paying.
Even taxes Dangote, Otedola and Adenuga pay in Lagos will dwarf what all Igbos not just Anambrans Pay in Lagos.

Yorubas shouldn't be surprised with such statements,if you know Igbos well they like to make mouth, boast and chest beat of something that's not.

Before Igbos knew a place called Lagos, Lagos has always been making money from taxes and paying treaties to the queen of England.

All the 5/4 star hotels owned by Foreigners,Multi-national oil companies pay thousands of dollars in taxes and you think some Anambra rich man that do business is the one making Lagos? deluded Governor, Igbos just make unguarded statements that draw hate towards themselves.

It's now clear Lagos is an envy of other tribes but one tribe called Igbos will do anything to have it for themselves even though they have to travels hundreds of miles to get to Lagos.
CultureRe: Bini Are Original Owners Of Lagos, Not Yoruba – Layi Ajayi-Bembe by bakynes(m): 5:35am On Nov 20, 2017
sophoccles:
That old man is not ashamed to spew a lot of rubbish on national media just because of politics. He is an "agba-iya". He said he is Bini, he said he is also Awori. But even a child knows that Awori & Bini are never the same.

Nobody is disputing the fact that the Bini once maintained a military garrison on Lagos Island at the height of their powers, which is why the "Eleko" did not and should not wear a crown, he was never from any royal lineage, he was simply a war chief, a garrison commander.

If Bini actually settled Lagos the so called indigenes (including the garrulous Chief Ajayi-Bembe) would actually bear Bini names. But they eventually withdrew, leaving the land for the aboriginal inhabitants - the Awori. It's the same way you see relics of Roman civilization/administration in parts of Britain today. Do we now say the Romans own Britain?
The same thing I said on the Alhaji Femi Okunmu thread, even the name Britain (Used to be Britannia)was given to the Anglo-Saxons(English people) by Rome because that area was Roman Colony but doesn't make the British people Romans.

The Abuja City Centurinary project is one of the biggest fraud by the last government, this is not about Withhunting the opposition. They even claimed other people's land and failed to compensate with the Billions allocated to the project but nothing was done.

Pius Anyim must return the looted funds.

They also Celebrated Woke Soyinka's Birthday with a Doodle and no one raised an eyebrow about it.

Una wey DE say ranking ....I don't tink it will affect d ranking ...Nigeria still DE where dem DE...mk we DE see sha
We will jump high in the rankings because we beat a top 8 team, I think Argentina is 3rd or 4th in Ranking so theirs will drop because they lost to a lower team(Nigeria). if we had lost the game, it wouldn't have affected our ranking because we played against a higher team but now we won a higher team, our ranking will tremendously move up.

Thats Kenneth Omeruo.

Right now, Argentina will dread playing us and if we're paired again at the World Cup, the match will be bloody. Super Eagles made us proud today. Can't wait to see our next FIFA ranking. The last ranking, Argentina was 4th and Nigeria was 41st. The little boy in me feels Nigeria will go beyond round of 16 at the World Cup. Taste of defeat from an African team was too bitter for him:DXenophobia don kill them finish, the reason they didn't qualify. If you are to measure any South African's blood pressure over this win, you'd be shocked. They're filled with hate.
The latest Fifa Ranking Nigeria is 38th in the World before this match.

PoliticsRe: Ambode Is Not Working As We Think! by bakynes(m): 7:32am On Nov 14, 2017
The truth is that Ambode has reduced in his Performance of late, Potholes everywhere on Major roads and nothing is been done.

He needs to hasten up and finish the Blue Light rail project and commence on the Red rail to reduce traffic but I think by the time the BRT route from Oshodi to Abule-Egba is finished that axis will have a brand new look.

Let's give him more time but comparing Ambode to Fashola is a no no, Fashola is an action governor in his time, Significant changes came to Lagos during his time.

No one is mad enough to match that shocked
Don't think it's not possible, no one believed a Club will be able to trigger Neymar's release clause but today PSG made it possible. Even Barça did that to scare off Clubs not knowing a Club will be mad enough to do that, If Isco becomes the world best Player tomorrow you will see big clubs willing to activate his release clause.
