TKB, why? Why why and why? What have I done to deserve this, great honour? Why is he my friend and not yours?

Razorr, I thought I told you to take your soliciting to the appropriate section?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Banderas(m): 4:21pm On Sep 10, 2007
Oga mi, you're lying o. I was at the Emirates for the portsmouth game. And I saw some dodgy areas at traffy last time I was there. The manure boys informed me that it was the visitors area. No comment.

Cream!!! Behave yourself!
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Banderas(m): 4:12pm On Sep 10, 2007
Tkb, very true, but I am yet to see you insult people during an argument, though twaddle wasn't particularly complimentary.

Passion is acceptable. Abuse is not cool,

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Banderas(m): 4:01pm On Sep 10, 2007
TKB - You certainly have a point. But I also try to be as objective as possible. I don't go rabid in my arguments like some people do (present company not included), and I always try to stay polite. I must say though, when you "twaddled" while I was dealing with some of the more red blooded man U peeps, I guess I took things the wrong way.

It's all good "Bra" (Dog the bounty hunter).

jackie - Paint? Have you ever been to old trafford? If you have, how can you accuse any club of their paintjob (or the lack thereof)?

By the way, when did you see this unpainted part of the stadium?

Hey Razorr,
naah, you misunderstood me. You're always welcome here. I was just suggesting you and cream take your "exuberance" to the romance sexion.

Haba, you can be here while "lolloxing" on the romance section at the same time init?

Hahahaha. TKB, seriously I don't know who you're talking about,

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Banderas(m): 3:42pm On Sep 10, 2007
On second thoughs I-man, both boards may be telling the truth. This would mean that Arsenal makes more than £89M on gate tickets per annum. Smiling all the way to the bank me hearties, smiling!
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Banderas(m): 3:41pm On Sep 10, 2007
Jackal - you need to change TKBs diapers, he has pooped his pants again.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Banderas(m): 3:38pm On Sep 10, 2007
Razorr - I was talking about the suit in Creamdream's pic, which you seem to like.

Jackal - Asian Market? Here's what I think - I think TKB has a higher chance of getting laid in a brothel than Man U has of making money selling T-shirts in China. Simple common sense - The chinese industry can churn out industry standard Man U shirts at 10% of the price, why will anyone buy the original? I say again, the money being made in Asia is made from TV. But seriously SAF did say so, though I also find the picture of SAF and Rooney hawking tops at Tejuosho quite hilarious.

I agree that Man U is worth a lot of money - I don't have the figures, but this has happened across the premiership - everyone is worth more money.

I-man, the difference here is who is more comfortable with debt. Guys, your debt has increased since the Glazers came in, ours hasn't. And you have forgotten the flats that are going up at highbury. You forget the prime property in london, compared to "gbanjo" in manchester.

According to your statement, Manchester is worth twice the value of Arsenal - of course we all know this is unlikely. Even if it's true, 600 million is more than twice 260 million. 260million out of 500 million is just over 50%, 600 million from 1 billion is a nice 60%. Plus, we are still expecting income from our luxury flats, being built on the site of the old highbury.

Here's the thing guys, I sincerely doubt this 89M in gate revenue, to the best of my knowledge, Arsenal makes the most revenue from tickets in the world. Someone is lying, either the Arsenal board or the Man U board. Your guess is as good as mine.

TKB, are you still talking to me?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Banderas(m): 2:48pm On Sep 10, 2007
Iman - that 90M you're talking about is what came in last season, before the new loan, and before the new interest rates kick in. And come on I-man, did you just post Arsenal's debt? Don't even go there! Are you comparing £260 million to £600 million? I'm sure you're better at math than a certain jackal,

Jackal: You have NOT sold all your season's tickets, and you have NOT sold all your directors boxes. I'll tell you clubs that have done so
1: Pool
2) Madrid
3) Barca
4) The Arsenal

And the Asian market? No, no seriously, did you just mention Man U making money out of the asian market? Doing what? Selling T-shirts? Selling Man U T-shirts in China? surely even you can see the irony of that sentence.

For your information, the only significant revenue that is being made in Asia is made by the FA, and is redistributed to all the clubs in the premiership.
On the other hand, I did read about SAF speaking about the growing fan base in Africa, specifically Nigeria. #

Regarding attendances, if you can't sell all your season tickets, it doesn't mean you don't sell all your tickets. It does however mean on the matchday, you end up giving out tickets for below their value. That in my book is a loss of revenue. So you are indeed carrying the so called "attachments" in order to fill up your stadium

Here's the thing, nobody is saying Man U isn't making money, we all know you're making money. What we're saying is that your board is mismanaging you. I mean, why on earth would Man U increase ticket money?

And by the way, the value of EVERY club in the premiership increased alongside Man U - this value increase was due mainly to the new tv deal.

Jackie Chan - You guys may need to lap yourselves in order to meet the difference from the reduction in season tickets sold,

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Banderas(m): 1:33pm On Sep 10, 2007
No, no no no! Man U fans aren't getting it at all.

Listen - You haven't sold all your season's tickets yet. This means your gate takings are already falling. Your gate takings will dive this season. You also forget your expensive acquisitions.

Leeds was among the richest clubs in the premiership the season before they went bankrupt.

True, you have 90M of operating income. You also have a massive wage bill, exceeded only by Chelsea. By the time you pay salaries, there will be quite a dent in this 90M.

UEFA - for taking part, you only get 4,400,000 euros. You need to keep winning in order to make more.

The Glazers are running your club into the mire, and you're watching, with eyes wide shut.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Chelsea Fans: Identify Yourselves Here (Old) by Banderas(m): 4:15pm On Sep 06, 2007
Akola, it CAN be broken. Stop playing the "sour grapes" game - Aston Villa whips you, instead of you walking away, you start claiming that other teams are going to lose points.

If Chelsea could set it, then definitely another team can break it. Any seasonal record can be breaking until you set a 114 point season, then it can't be broken.

Jackal:
@ Akola,

So u feel West Ham was better than Man Utd at OT on the final day of the season.
Why didnt Ferguson roll out his 1st team? Why was Neil Warnock angry at Ferguson till this day.
Are u trying to tell me if United needed the 3 points that day to win the Premiership. . . .Ferguson will leave his firepower on the bench?
If u are this naive . . . . .i will stop discussing football issues with u.
Hell, if u are telling me u don't know the FA wanted West Ham to stay at all cost then u don't know a pinch of English football.
Jackie you don come again o. Oya prove the West ham story.

Akola - 2004/2005 season, chelsea had 95 points. True, it's a record.

but wait a minute, 2003/2004 season, Arsenal had 90 points (and that is after messing up a bit towards the end of the season) 99/00 Man u had 91 points. I'm a bit confused here - why on earth do you think 95 points can't be broken?
SportsRe: Golden Eaglet Good Enough For The World Cup Title! by Banderas(m): 1:12pm On Sep 06, 2007
It depends. First answer a different question: Do you think those boys are actually under 17 years of age?

If they really are, then there's lots of hope. But if they're not, all we can expect is for them to play under21, and then disappear as younger people catch up with them
