Jackal - I agree. Absolutely. But I thought Ronaldo plays on the other side of the field (I remember Ashley Cole marking Ronaldo out of one game. Then Ronaldo ran to the other side to terrorise Laurent) |
Ronaldinho is a god? Surely you jest. I saw Boularhouz keep him quiet during the last champions league. (He's a jolly good footballer though) |
Jackal, Bakary Sagna!? Are you kidding? I can understand you speaking against Edu (who hasn't yet started a premiership game, Tevez has started two), but Sagna? The guy has been PURE CLASS. I rate Sagna on the SAME level as Micah Richards, him who silenced Tevez in the Citeh game. |
Una no fit pay am. If Ronaldinho comes, then Lamps and Terry will demand pay rises. Chikena! |
Jackie!!! no disrespect man, but I'm not a huge fan of your soccer predictions. (See Tevez). Adebayor is not a great striker - true. Neither is he a Kanu, also true. But when you have a team with the average striker height of 5'9", and average weight of 72KG, you need someone who can run at defenders and hold the ball. Kanu can neither run, nor hold the ball properly. Peter Crouch? Have you forgotten Crouchie's first 18 months at liverpool? He scored, squat. And 45% of crouchies goals are fouls on defenders. |
I think on a good day, Adebayor is Phenomenal for Arsenal. The guy is strong and fast, and is good in the air. Even if he doesn't score that much, he certainly creates goals for other players. |
Dino - apparently Milan also wanted one of our players as a loan exchange, which we weren't prepared to give them, |
@ BanderasMr Woods - You guess? You guess?? Man, come on. Your guesses have nothing to do with scripture. Spookiness is totally in your mind. I once took a course in metal work and made a ring. People said it was ugly, and looked like really weird. I bet if you had seen it, you would have called it demonic. But here's the thing, I made it MYSELF! No matter how it looked, it was not demonic, it was just a ring I made. The speed at which you guys use looks to judge things is really amazing, if the devil is the king of lies as the bible said, why would you think he would present himself in a manner that you would easily recognise? Demonic things exist, but I assure you, they are really not that easy to tell. Regarding perception, let me tell you how frail perception is: During my mother's days in university, born again christians wouldn't wear jeans, because jeans was something that hippies in the UK and US wore. In other words, it was considered irresponsible, and possibly demonic. If we go a bit further back in history, the first missionaries/explorers believed that africans (that means you mate) were evil because of the colour of their skin. Here's my point: I can't stop the way people perceive things, especially people who are lacking in wisdom, these things will always happen. But when someone who professes to be a christian informs me that the way I dress or look affects my responsibility or christianity, I'm very disappointed. If I met a dreadlocked pastor who spoke good word, and had a good annointing, I assure you, I will attend his church regardless. I say this again - if Elijah or John the baptist (or indeed most of the prophets in the old testament) were to come into the world to day to preach, if they had african hair, the hair would definitely be dreadlocked. And it appears Mr Tunde Woods would despise them because of their looks, and suspect they have a skeleton in the cupboard. |
What happened here? |
Don't mind them o Dpumping. Nigerians always take things too far. I've seen different waves of christian beleifs over the years in Naija, even now, some people say R&B can't be christian, yet they are okay to sing hymns (though classical music started of as secular stuff). There is NOTHING wrong with rings on pastors. There is NOTHING wrong with dreadlocs. There is NOTHING wrong with weaves. The problem is in people's minds. I do however understand that as a pastor trying to reach out to people, you need to make an effort not to offend. But the offense is not from the pastor, but from the people who decide for some reason that the word of God can only be spread by people dressed in a certain manner. |
Kitaun, I personally am of the opinion that Fashola and co actually did start the whole thing off. When the entire thing started blowing, they didn't deny it at first, they only said that the "arrests" were for a different reason (aiding armed robbers). It wasn't until the whole thing became really dodgy and some big people stepped in that they started claiming they made no such order. If you ask me, the entire thing stinks of some political cover-up. I bet they authorised the decision, and then later withdrew it. |
Brodericks, if what you're saying is true, then all christians should still be wearing robes the way they were worn back in the time of Jesus. Why then do you go around in trousers and stuff? Man, when the bible talks about being conformed, I assure you it has little to do with things like outward appearance. Unfortunately some christians refuse to use the wisdom that has been given them by God, instead expecting to be instructed in avery little step. God gave you a brain, use it!!! We are advised (ADVISED!) to be moderate, it's not a rule. |
are you guys at all serious? What does dressing have to do with christianity? What does the state of your soul and spirit have to do with the clothing on your body (or rings or hairdo)? My guy, face the important things about yourself, and stop complaining about how other people decide to apparel themselves. I bet you, if Elijah, Samson or John the baptist had woolly african hair, they would have been dreadlocked. |
May I ask, what is wrong with these rings and weaves and locks? |
O ma se o. Man U no fit score. Totts gon whup your butts. |
What is marriage? Marriage is an agreement between a man and a woman. Until recent times, african marriage didn't have anything to do with church, and they lasted. I have met couples who slept together the first day they met, and they are still together to this day. I have also met people who didn't sleep together until they got married, yet are divorced now. Don't believe the hype. |
Banderas: |
Trust you? You who predicted that Belleti will be one of your best signings? Babes, I think you're a wonderful person (with a great body!!!), but soccer may not be your thing. Trust me. |
Razoooor! Raaaazooooor! How many times have I called you? We know you're upset because you want us to keep making mistakes and to keep losing matches. |
Oriki - how the hell did you lose your manuscript? Don't you have a soft copy? That is simply not good, not good enough. |
Man U is coming 4th this season, provided the top 4 remain the same. and NO BOOKMAKER is tipping Man U to win the league! Which bookmaker have you been looking at? |
Whew. Thank God o Razorr. But then again, you just jinxed Sidwell, and any other signings you have made. |
Razorr, the boy no fit run. Chikena. Alex - no pace. Malouda - plenty pace. Belletti: Are you kidding me!!? Let's not even discuss the other 30 year olds in your team at present. One would expect Moaner to learn, but then again, he's with Chelski. Do you realise that at this moment, Chelsea can't beat either Man U or Liverpool? (Unless of course you bribe a coach again). |
Okay o, I applaud your predictions. Belletti will be one of your best signings of the season. I hope for your sake that this doesn't turn out to be a curse to you (If some tired 31 year old man is your best signing, then you just jinxed your other signings, ) And believe me, I am not upset that you bought Belleti, I am actually quite excited. I can just imagine Adebayor or Clichy running at him, and him trying to keep up with them (Amigos, amigos, Por favor espera para mim, ) Malouda is quality, he shrugged Rio aside, and ran past him. Can he also run past Kolo Toure? Can he shrug aside Caragher? Alex - He came to Chelsea to sit on the bench. He'll leave next season most likely. |
Pessimistic? You bought a 31 year old papa from Barca, and you think it's an acheivement? And you actually paid money!! Hahaha. Most 31 year olds tend to get free transfers. You're quite right about his experience, but this experience is from the spanish league, where there is no pace, and little physical game. In other words, "Experience not applicable". They sold you a lemon! Again!! |
Heh heh heh. The funny thing is that Naija's abroad aren't in diaspora. The people in Diaspora are the african americans, caribbean and other people of african origin that were taken abroad against their will. We are simply Nigerians abroad. Though if one were ro use the dictionary meaning, then any Nigerian who has moved away would be in diaspora. This diaspora will of course include togo, Cameroon, and Ghana, amongst other countries. |
Razorr:Oooh, Razor. I'm impressed by your die-hard support, but that is a STOOPID buy. I give that guy a maximum of 1 year. Note that Chelsea has only had one player in their late 20s/early 30s that has performed - Makalele. I'll like to see how someone that age will be able to adjust to the pace of the premiership. |
Razorr:Stop that. Stop trying to worm your way out. You have offered, now you must tender your breast for milking!!! |
Lordi: You're getting upset on a forum? This is hilarious. So if you get angry, what will you do? The babe is offering you a snog and a feel, you're forming anger? |
