Jackal is not one of our more intelligent countrymen. He says it doesn't take skill to tackle, yet Gatusso tackled Ronaldo out of the champion's league (Ronaldo cried).

Viera - Don't start. You're sending the poor boy to go and try to read football for dummies? How will he understand? he should try learning his ABC first, it appears the finer points of soccer always exceed his understanding.

Loyika Baba! Good morning. I was beginning to wonder where you were. he first said "apache" was one of the best footballers, now we realise that what he actually meant was that the same apache was non-existent without Roo and Ron. Roon scores, Ron backs him up. Apache sits on the bench, that must be Apache's strong point.

Chuck: The guy wants to headbutt you. No reward for guessing which footballer he learnt that from,

According to Jackal - Tackling is not a skill. Nuff said.

Wormed! Nice!Did you see the number of times that Cashley planted Ronaldo on his ass?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by Banderas(m): 11:32am On Aug 30, 2007
Ronaldinho cannot be better than what he has done . . . . .He is at his peak now and will only come down.
Ronaldo on the other hand is going up and we still don't know how far up he will go before he comes down.
Cristiano is not yet as matured as Dinho but he is the BEST PLAYER IN THE PREMIERSHIP as of today.
Have that in your greasy ass!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Your ass is greasy. He is NOT the best player in the premiership, he is one of the best. The best player in the premiership IS Steven Gerrard. He was the best last season, which is over. If we can write Ronaldinho off, then we can write ronaldo off. Form peaks, and form wanes, and it doesn't always have to do with age. I personally say this: Your guy has peaked. It's down from now on. The only headers he's going to get are the ones that earn him a red card. Listen to the comments from football experts (not some clueless posters on a thread on the internet) about Ronnie being regularly pocketed. Listen and learn.

Oh, he's still growing as a diver by the way,

JS Park is a two footed footballer. So is Berba. According to you, ronaldo is the best striker of the ball because he is two footed. Now you're changing things again. And Ronaldo plays more with his right than his left, so definitely he isn't 100% on both feet. Enough already with the colour on my TV, that's getting quite lame.

I don't care about potential or age, what happens next year will happen next year. For all we know by may we could all be talking about Alexander Song without a mention of either Ronaldo or ronaldinho.

I don't care how old he is. I only know that he is not as good as Ronaldinho. Argue that.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by Banderas(m): 11:03am On Aug 30, 2007
You're right Jackal, how come I didn't see that before? Cuntley Ronaldo is the best player in the world ever, the best player of all time. And he has the world cup goals and medals to show it. Not even Pele/Maradona in their prime are anywhere close. Anytime Ronaldo touches the ball, he scores. He scores from anywhere, from the touchline, from the wings, from the centre, even from the stands he scores. He even scores in his own goal. He cannot be marked. The only player whose shot has ever been any close to his hot shot has been "Thunder Balogun". That's why when he's about to score, Fergie yells at him from the dugout: "Christiano Ronaldo, Remember your left! Or your right!! Or even your head!!! (he's a two footed player who is able to head great people balls)
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by Banderas(m): 10:46am On Aug 30, 2007
And a 19 year old kept the almighty Tevez out of action. Micah Richards rules!!!
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by Banderas(m): 10:45am On Aug 30, 2007
Jack. I'll quote you again:

What makes Ronaldo special and better than most peops is . . . . . . . .He is the only 2-footed player in the Premiership.
The left foot is just as good as the right foot.
You made no mention of quality here, he is best simply because he is the only two footed player in the premiership. LIE!

And in the link, Cole slipped as well. Admit it bruv, Ronaldinho is better (in my opinion, he's MILES better) than ronaldo.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by Banderas(m): 10:32am On Aug 30, 2007
Go and watch world cup 2002. Ronaldinho did the same thing to Cashley. You're totally incorrect.

And now you think because you and I are having a discussion about football you can call me an asshole? Oh you sorry sorry fellow.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by Banderas(m): 10:29am On Aug 30, 2007
Jackalian Logic:

Two footed player = Best player.

This means J S Park is also one of the best players in the premiership (he's two footed as well). And so is Louis Saha and Berbatov (who incidentally I rate as high as Ronaldo).

And they all play in the premiership.

Razorr - I'm upset, and I'm trying hard not to cuss this dude. So I'm sticking to language that won't upset Mr Osewa.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by Banderas(m): 10:22am On Aug 30, 2007
Jackal is a sick abusive piece of poop. Christiano Ronaldo is the best player in the premiership? What a load of bollocks. Giggs I agree. Ronaldo? Mate, you know nothing about football!

I never said Ronaldo has never dribbled Cashley, I said he has never made an idiot out of him (Tell that dude that brought that youtube link that idiot and nutmeg are not the same thing) I remember that move. I also remember how it ended - Ronaldo got his ankle twisted after a grinding tackle from Cashley.

Clips mean nothing. Nutmegs mean nothing - I have seen Hleb nutmeg loads of defenders, yet I would hardly rate him as the best player in the premiership.

And comparing Ronaldo to Ronaldinho? Dude, wake up. Ronaldo has had ONE good season. He hasn't even yet been nominated for anything outside england. Oh, apart from the olympics gold medal, but that was for diving.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by Banderas(m): 9:37am On Aug 30, 2007
And Jackal said Edu was shite. He's eating his words now. I remember a certain £30M striker who couldn't head in a cross from 8 yards.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by Banderas(m): 9:32am On Aug 30, 2007
Good Analysis Chuck,
but remember - it was from Denilson's cross that Edu scored our third.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by Banderas(m): 4:24pm On Aug 29, 2007
Razor. You do realise that Chelski has been richer than Arsenal for the past 15 odd years? Majority of this period, we have thumped Chelski. And it's your coach that's more likely to be sacked,

Jack - Ronaldo is a poor man's Ronaldinho, with an added quality - he has produced some of the world's best dives in recent history - I'm talking olympic quality.

It's not my TV that's broken man, it's whatever website you get your facts from. It's quite obvious to me you didn't get them from watching the matches.
When Micah Richards rules, Tevez is nowhere!
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Banderas(m): 3:44pm On Aug 29, 2007
I agree. Them chelski people are not very original, they just like waiting in the pipelines, and hijacking other people's transfers.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by Banderas(m): 2:10pm On Aug 29, 2007
Man U won. Great game. I don't doubt that. BUT RONALDO DIDN't Disgrace Cole. Hahaha, man mi, did you even watch the match at all? Ronaldo saw no action until he crossed over to lauren's side. Chikena.

Euro 2004, ronaldo was almost in tears when Cashley marked him out of the game.

How can you say you watch football? We're talking about the EPL here, not Gombe United.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by Banderas(m): 2:00pm On Aug 29, 2007
Oh sharrap. What is this highbury showdown? What season? What year? Highbury showdown means squat to me - Liverpool, manure and spurs all call their away games with us highbury showdowns.

Terrorising the midfield and scoring goals doesn't mean he wasted Ashley Cole.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by Banderas(m): 1:52pm On Aug 29, 2007
Jackal, I've been watching the premiership for ages (I'll be at the Grove again this weekend, )

Ronaldo? Disgrace Cole? No. Never. Not in a one-on-one situation. This doesn't mean he has never gotten past Cole, by passing or other methods, but not in a one-to one situation. Highbury showdown? Surely you jest. Ronaldo didn't "perform" at all during that match.

PTH - You quote scripture word for word. You quote it from your memory, yet you say this scripture isn't memorized. We seem to have a language issue here.

My initial and constant discussion with you has always been the fact that you refuse to acknowledge God beyond a very narrow perspective. You say I close my mind to your posts - this isn't true, I initially gave you credit for things you said. I don't doubt you description of your faith, or of God, I simply refuse to agree that your bible totally and comprehensively describes God. I am of the opinion that a man (like Lazarus in your example) can live a fulfilled christian life and make heaven without reading a bible.

And strangely, you have again used a simple argument on a forum to refer to my personal life, and to point out that I have no wisdom. I'm afraid I disagree with this. I don't consider myself extremely wise, but neither do I consider myself lacking in wisdom.

Intolerance is not questioning a student for learning, intolerance is informing a student that the student's learning is nonsense, and the student has no wisdom, especially when one doesn't even take time out to listen to what the student is saying.

@Iman - I can't explain that. But neither can I explain how an African who traditionally had many religions that lived side by side in peace now decides to choose an imported religion, and then discriminate against all other religions.

What kind of story is this? Did you actually send this to your agent? With all the question marks? I hope this is the summary that appears on the back of the novel, not the entirety of the novel.

To the best of my knowledge, agents want to see the framework of your story, highlighting key points. You also need to work on your writing - suck the reader into your novel, make their heartbeats race during the peaks, and make them cry during the low points.

i'm more fantasy adventure, my stories are about heroes, villains, damsels and knights in armour. Mix in a large dollop of romance, and a sprinkling of romance and intrigue.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by Banderas(m): 1:29pm On Aug 29, 2007
Jackal, I restate - Ronaldo didn't get past Cashley during that match. Not once. He went over to Laurent's side before he started seeing any light (at the end of the tunnel.)

Roma, I don't care how good their defence was (afterall one could argue that Manure had the best attack before the AC Milan game as well), all I know is that during that game, they didn't have the best defence. (In the same way, during the AC game, man U's attack was, nonexistent).

Face it, oh jackal, ere your day cometh (The day of the jackal). Your boy Tevez (apache oshi wo? He's from Argentina!) is good, but maybe not as good as y'all claimed he would be. He couldn't get past Micah Richards. We did.

Essien is a makeshift defender. Drop coins!

Heh heh. I was speaking about simple english. Do you memorise the bible? The answer is yes, you do. Oh, I admit you memorise it out of understanding, but you do memorise it. Almost all your posts are supported by some quote or the other from the bible.

To the best of my knowledge, you do this because your faith tells you to, and not because common sense says it's a good thing to read the bible and quote from it. However, you seem to think it's okay to take the mickey out of someone else's faith that tells him to memorise his quoran. That is what I have a problem with. You have NO respect for other people's beleifs, yet you expect people to agree when you quote the bible.

From a hardcore muslim (or other faith) point of view, all your quoting means the same to me as a dog barking. I listen for wisdom. I look out for tolerance. You have neither.

Christianity EtcRe: Muslims And Their Holy Book by Banderas(m): 1:07pm On Aug 29, 2007
no sir, memorising the bible is a futile exercise. Reading with the aim of understanding what is there is the key.
The bible says - for the letter killeth but the spirit it giverth life.
The bible says yet again - too much reading is a weariness to the soul.

In essence - it is not how much you read and memorise the letters, but how much you understand and apply those scriptures to your life.
Oh the irony of it all. And the hypocrisy. You criticise someone because of his religious beleifs, and because he knows his scripture, yet here you are quoting your own scripture. in essense, knowing scripture is only alright when you're the one who knows it.

You give Christianity (and by reference, Christ) a bad name. Sir.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by Banderas(m): 1:01pm On Aug 29, 2007
What was the score in the Roma game? I think it was about 6 0r 7 goals scored by united against a "highly defensive roma team". My guy, when you concede 7 goals, you aren't highly defensive.

We all know Ronaldo is class, there's no argument against that. And Ronaldo hasn't disgraced Ashley Cole (yet).

Here's what I say - there are few forwarders that won't score heavily when they have a Ronaldo in their team. So claiming that Tevez will start scoring when Ronaldo comes back from suspension is a moot point.

Razor, Ronaldo embarassed Terry last season, and during the world cup.

Carva whohuh <Hissssssssss>

Jack, do you read what you type? Tevez (or Apache as you call him) is an amazing player, but we will only see how amazing he is when Ronaldo comes back? Oh Jackie boy, sometimes your passion (which I admire) seems to get ahead of your reason (which I also admire)
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by Banderas(m): 12:49pm On Aug 29, 2007
Wait a minute, did you say we haven't met any major opposition? We just beat Citeh last weekend. The same Citeh that whopped manure. yes, our forwarders actually went past Micah Richards (unlike Tevez), and we contained their strikers.

Note that Ronaldo scores mainly against the lower teams in the premiership as well. We saw his performance (or the lack thereof) in the FA cup against Manure, and in the champions league against AC Milan (Gatusso Baba!!!).

And Robbie Keane? Are you okay? Who is Robbie Keane in the scheme of things? I assume that Ronaldo is being rated with the same measure as Robbie keane then?
