tomquest:
I know how difficult it was for me to get a drivers license in Canada, after writing the initial computer-based test of 30 questions out of which you must score 25 to pass. And it wasn't free. It wasn't easy either because I had to study the big driving handbook to get all the basics right. Then comes the other rigorous processes, including the road test which you MUST pass before getting a license. In Canada, people drive as if they are flying an airplane- with such carefulness and caution because any infraction would cost you!

But what do we have here in Nigeria? Chaos on the roads! Insane, arrogant, inexperienced road users who mostly believe that their poorly maintained tokumbo vehicles are covered by the blood of Jesus grin. People die like animals everyday because we know too much to humble ourselves and LEARN HOW TO DRIVE!

When people die we hear the usual cold-hearted RIP coming from unrepentant people who are ever ready to continue in their recklessness behind the wheels the next morning! Is their any redemption for NIGERIA'S mentality?
If you ask the average Nigerian, he'll tell you his mentality is fine and that you are the crazy one.

I concur sir. But Germany still far na.

Where I dey for Naija here, I had to do a driving test twice before being issued a driving permit. And that is beside the fact that I hold a valid Naija driving license and have been driving for 7 years.
I don't mean to insult you but this is the truth; Any drivers license given in Nigeria is as useless as anything you can think of. It is not just about driving or doing the drivers test. It is about knowing the standard. If the people giving the test don't know the standard, how can they teach the standard? Let me give you an example. In almost 15 years i have only used my horn maybe 10 times. When i reach a 4 way and other cars meet on all sides, we all know what we need to do so as not to cause confusion. It's called, first in, first out. I'm telling you, Nigerians don't know how to drive.

Untainted007:
May God avert evil reports and evil incidents away from our lives. God's protection will be there for us till eternity. May d souls of d departed rest in peace.
This has nothing to do with God, evil spirits, witches, wizards, etc. What it has to do with is, no Nigerian born and raised in Nigeria knows how to drive. Driving is more that getting behind the wheel of a vehicle. True story; My organisation sent me to Germany to complete a project. It was supposed to take three years to complete but it eventually stretched out to six years. In all of those years, I did not see one accident. I know what you are thinking. You are thinking, "what's so special about that". Well, Germany is a country where you can drive as fast as you want on their autobahn. 200km, 300km, 400km, it does not matter. Imagine driving that fast and not seeing any accident. Do you know why that is? Because they understand that driving is a privilege and not a right. You phuck up and they take your driving privileges away quicker than you can blink an eye. I know what you are thinking again. You are thinking, "and so"? Well, to get a drivers license is almost as difficult as passing a Bar exam. And very expensive too. Almost 2,000 Euro. Who would want to risk being s.tupid behind a vehicle. Nigerians don't understand the responsibilities involved in owning and operating a vehicle and it's a shame. They think it is their right to drive. This is why people die like chickens on a daily basis.

C'mon bruv... This ain't about that... Even the worst of them cooks (males & females) can still make tea with boiled water.
Which is my point. You should not agree with an article saying women should know how to cook these meals. Why only women? In this day and age where to survive economically and otherwise, takes a combined effort from both parties? Come on.

These apc people keep blaming everything and anything but themselves. They blamed gej, mama peace, corruption, empty treasury, opposition, the masses, they even blamed GOD. Now they are blaming militants. Oya nigerians. Buckle your seat belts. Rough sea ahead.
These problems did not just start today. Things have been like this since independence. Nigeria has been living on borrowed time and time has come to collect. The country and it's citizens cannot be this corrupt for over half a century and not expect repercussions. So, blaming a party or one president is nonsensical.

Okay, very good..... commit any crime and get burnt... Some people will not learn.... SMH
Your thought process is flawed. You talk as if jungle justice is legal. What you should have said was "commit any crime and face the law. And if you commit jungle justice/murder, you should face the law too". At least that is the mentality in normal countries. But, we all know Nigeria is not normal. I will always say that the problem with Nigeria is not it's leaders. It is it's citizenry. When the citizens are phucked up, the leaders will be phucked up. It's like a country filled with thugs and touts. What a country.

Op well done... Its the basic truth you shared up there.

Every woman should be able to know how to put together a simple meal, her social status not withstanding.
Why every woman? Every person should know how to cook these meals. It is not difficult to make. And if you can't, there may be a reason.
BusinessRe: Have You Ever Been Short Payed By An ATM Machine? by banmee(m): 6:41pm On Jul 17, 2016
talktrue1:
Last week, I was at Enugu for a wedding and wanted to buy something worth of N65,000 from market. I went to use my Ecobank ATM card on Union Bank ATM along Ziks Avenue. I withdrew N20,000 three times i.e. N60,000 and put it in my bag. On getting to the seller, I removed N5,000 from my wallet and added to the money I withdrew from ATM. After counting the money twice in my presence, he said that the money is N62,000. I counted it back myself and it was short of N3,000. I searched my bag again and nothing was left inside

I was sure of the N5,000 from my wallet, and so definitely the shortage was from the ATM. Having withdrawn three times and having a shortage of N3,000, It therefore means that I was paid N19,000 on every N20,000 withdrawn.

I couldn’t go back to the bank for complaint since it was ATM transaction and I have never experienced such.

Na so I lost N3k for this hardship
Nigerians and English are like oil and water. OP, "payed" abi "paid". Which kain tin be dis na?

Nollywood stars, Rita Dominic and Ramsey Nouah play the main roles in the historical drama film, '76.

The film which was produced by Adonaijah Owiriwa and directed by Izu Ojukwu, tells the story behind the Nigerian Military Coup of 1976 and the assassination of General Murtala Mohammed.

Fans are patiently waiting for the premiere date of what promise to be another mind blowing movie from the legendary acts.

I don't know what is more worrying. The fact that you are taking sides in a matter where both parties are clearly wrong or the fact that tit got 75 likes for it. It indemnifies the way a vast majority of Nigerians think as a whole. It is absolutely astounding the way Nigerians reason. The biggest problem in Nigeria is not it's leaders. It is it's citizenry. Leaders come from the citizens, and if the citizens are phucked up, the leader will be phucked up. There needs to be a fundamental shift in the way Nigerians think. Unfortunately, generations of Nigerians have imbibed this corruptive mentality and i fear that there may be no way to uproot it. It is just too deep.
PoliticsRe: Why Is Tinubu So Powerful? by banmee(m): 5:12pm On Jul 16, 2016
Begonia:
Unfortunately, this is true.
Two rules to being relevant and powerful in Nigeria;
1. Steal enough money to last five life times.
2. Ass kiss people who have done the above.

It's even more pathetic that most Nigerians don't realize this is a messed up way of surviving.
Most Nigerians do not want good leaders. They prefer to be sentimentally herded by people without virtues and then, delude themselves that this will bring forth a better country.
You don't know how pleased i was to have read your comment. The biggest problem in Nigeria is not it's leaders. It is it's citizenry. Leaders come from the citizens, and if the citizens are phucked up, the leader will be phucked up. There needs to be a fundamental shift in the way Nigerians think. Unfortunately, generations of Nigerians have imbibed this corruptive mentality that i fear that there may be no way to uproot it. It is too deep. And just like you said; Most of them don't know this and think everything is fine with the way they think. People like us who are few and far in between are outnumbered. Nigeria needs to do what Jerry Rawlings did in Ghana in '79. You can only uproot this way of life by force and by blood. Anytime they are ready, i'm down for it. I do it for a living anyway so it is not new to me. God help us.
