I don't know who that is wink but if i was, i would have this ID because i have been banned too often because of my vocal comments on the way Nigerians think. So i decided to open countless id's to express myself. I would have tried to explain to the MOD's that banning doesn't solve anything. All it does is give a bogus membership count. It's not as if there is any monetary value to having one ID. That is if i was this bollinger or whoever that is. Anyway, how've you been?

I believe it was great before independence. Nigeria is like a boy serving his master and all of a sudden, feels that he has known it all. He leaves, starts his own shop, but at the end his business collapsed. Only few people were matured enough for independence but those few can't run the entire country for years...
It is all about exposure. Nigerians are not exposed to how things are done. The sooner they are the better.

God has used the foolish things of this world to confound the wise - 1Cor. 1:27

 Whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them. 13 This is why I speak to them in parables:
"Though seeing, they do not see;
though hearing, they do not hear or understand.

14 In them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah:
"'You will be ever hearing but never understanding;
you will be ever seeing but never perceiving. Matthew 13: 12-14

Best of luck.

After reading this, I was weak to the bone, Nigeria was once a great country, How did we descended so so low? Oh God, can Nigeria really be fixed? Hmmm, if we continue like this we are heading for the rocks oh, wonder what those corrupt Government officials do with those huge sums of money, A man told me the average life span for a man to enjoy himself is 70 which after my observations it has elements of truths, then after that what will you do with that huge sums of money stacked up?.
Nigeria was never a great country. First coup was in 1966 with multiple Military leaders and with a history of corruption that was/and is off the charts till date. How and when did it have time to be great?

Go back and comprehend what I wrote. That argument pertains only to those who has yielded their lives to God to direct. If you are a driver at driver's seat, won't you know where you passenger presently occupy and where their final destination will be?
I like the way you think. Twisting words to suit your argument but avoiding the actual meaning of the words. Typical. Lol. Your definitions;

1. ALL KNOWING: Having knowledge of events only some of the time.

2. Faith: The ability to believe in an outcome wholeheartedly whilst the said outcome has already been predetermined.

Contradiction galore. grin

You see for those who surrender their life to God, everything about them is at God's mercy. He determines what happens and when it happens to them. They become like a boat at the mercy of a rowing God. God being the designer is ever certain of where their lives head. He knows everything about their present and future. The beauty of the surrender however is that whenever whatever happens, they can be certain that God time is the best. That answers Sarah's question. In choosing a path of faith, Abraham and sarah surrender all to God and got rewarded for it. They allowed God designed a life for them. God with whom nothing is impossible chose for Sarah to have a child in her old age. Sarah's case is God's deliberate choice and not one that happened by chance. For all who yields their live to God they face the same circumstance. God in his wisdom designs a life that defiles many natural laws for them. That is why they must live by faith and not sight. Based on what God can do and not what the world says is possible or not.

For those who rejects God, God is not in control of their essence. However what is certain is that they head for perdition because they reject God who is the spring source of a living water and dug for themselves a leaking cistern. They live a random life, a life of chance. The devil is in charge of their being. Their will is theirs and the devil's and not God's.
First you said he was not all knowing. Now you say he is. Please make up your mind. It still points to my argument that it confounds me that my father who is all knowing, will knowingly create and allow me sin and then send me to hell. It does not make any sense.

To the scripture you have quoted, non negates what I have earlier said. The problem with quoting scripture is you don't quote in isolation, you quote the entire relevant scripture.
The John you quoted was simply saying God knows the content of our thoughts. Infact there is another part of the scripture that says God looks down and look into our hearts. We don't need to talk before he discerns us. Our thoughts are open to him. That's is why we ll be judge upon both what we talk, think and do. In that wise God knows everything. But does he emanates the thoughts? CAPITAL NO. That's is entire within our prerogative, however what we think is open to God and will infact convicts or condemns us.
The Genesis pertains to a promise. Nothing special about that. You ordinary human make promises against the future you have no control over and fulfil them, how much more an all powerful God. He promised Abraham to bless his descendants with the gift of land. Afterall he created the universe, the heaven, the earth and the seas. However the process Abraham descendants will go through to claim the land, God would gradually reveal to them and they have a role to play in that process.
So in summary, you are saying he picks and chooses what he knows and what he doesn't. Ok. Because I don't understand how he can know that sarah would have a kid at an age where she shouldn't.

The scriptures says God knows the end from the beginning. That statement pertains to good acts and bad acts. Because God can discern bad choices from good choices and he knows the consequences of each acts; it is why it is said he knows the end from the beginning. It does not necessarily pertain to our choices and freewill. Those are within our prerogative, however once we make the choices God can know where our choices will lead us.
1 John 3:19-20

By this we shall know that we are of the truth and reassure our heart before him; for whenever our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and he knows everything.

Genesis 12:7
“Then the LORD appeared to Abram and said, ‘To your descendants I will give this land.’ And there he built an altar to the LORD, who had appeared to him.” And you say he doesn't know what will happen. Ok.

Those are you thoughts. I however want to ask you a question. Do you believe God is JUST and cannot no wrong. If you have YES to this question and look at you argument from that perspective. Do you find guilty a madman who have no control over his acts and who lacks capacity to know right from wrong in a law court?
Still you don't get it. I am not talking about freewill. We are talking about a being who knows that you are going to do something bad or something bad will happen to you and still lets it happen. I wouldn't do that to my boys. I can't even imagine doing it at all.
Christianity EtcRe: If You Had A Chance To Ask God A Question What Would It Be? by banmee(m): 3:18pm On Jan 31, 2016
tete7000:
On the question of freewill, God cannot said to be all knowing. God is just too and a just God cannot judge you if you action are predetermined and you have no control over them. In that wise he created men with will and capacity for good and evil. He tries to influence the will by speaking good to our conscience and at the same time allows the devil to have access to us too. In that manner, we feel free to make our choices but he is not at all times privy to what the choices will be. Nevertheless because of his love for us, he is ever ready preparing options for us in case we fall. Salvation has been in offing long before man fell because God was preparing an option in case man disobeyed him.
You are giving your own definitions. There is nowhere in the bible that says God is all knowing, all seeing, all powerful, BUT. There is no BUT anywhere. When Moses was fighting for the freedom of the israel, if i remember correctly, he said he said the would "harden the heart of Pharaoh" so that we would know his power. If that ain't power, i wonder what is. And on the subject of freewill, it does not pertain to this present discussion. He created Adam and Eve knowing fully well what they were going to do. If it was me, i would have planted the tree in heaven and taken out satan out of the equation completely. It's like we are puns in a game of chess.

The height of love is in instructing people and then leaving them make their free choice. You cannot claim to love even your children if you will deny them freedom and prevent them growing up. You simply lay out the consequences of action and then let them make their choice. It will hurt you as a parent when they make wrong choices but you don't do them any good either if you block their path to maturity by being obsessed with them.
You don't get it. God is all knowing right? Meaning, he knows everything you are going to do even before you do it. Which also means that, every action and consequence your children will ever take and have, he already knows it. So, if i had that power, why would i let my kid go out to die?
Christianity EtcRe: Top Seven Awesome Prophets And Their Lifestyle In The Bible by banmee(m): 2:56pm On Jan 31, 2016
immortalvoices:
I was studying the Bible and I was awed by the ways and doings of the biblical prophet of old, lots of faiths and powers were on display

I do believe that they have set a standard for true and godly prophet of now these days.. So fellow nairalanders I compiled few top prophet and their ways

. I GIVE YOU THE TOP SEVEN MOST AWESOME PROPHETS OF THE BIBLE....

.
..
.
SAMUEL : Samuel lived in the presence of God all his life, in fact he was the only prophet in the Bible that God literally called. That is God like went into his room and called him(awesome right, I mean how many people can boast of that huh?) but the most awesome thing about Samuel is that he is also the only prophet in the Bible that God called in his childhood. SAMUEL was a child when God called him... Totally awesome!

.
MOSES : Moses was awesome. Let's forget the fact that he grew up in Egyptian court, was a prince, very smart, Led his people out of slavery, talked with God face to face (mega awesome), lifted his hand and the tide of battle changes, let's forget those awesome-hard-to-ignore facts, want to know what the most awesome thing about moses is? I will tell you..... Never in the history of human race has these two phrases "... Like a god to them" and "... The Most humble man in all the earth" been used to describe one person. Anybody who gets a taste of power becomes so prideful they literally begin to swell, but Moses(who his enemies see as a god) was humble and that is the very definition of awesomeness

.
ELISHA : The one thing that stands the prophet Elisha out is his boldness. The guy was bold, can you believe he walked into enemy camp and anoints an officer of the enemy king to be king while the enemy king who by the way is still very much alive and want to kill him was a few tents away drinking with his commanders . He rebuked a tyrant king of Isreal who is known for his cruelty to those that oppose him. Just when you think these moves were bold enough, he looked his master Elijah in the eyes, a man who had called down fire to consume evil prophets of baal, who summoned rain on a land devastated by drought for three years, who divided the Jordan river by merely touching it with his cloak, a man who didn't die but flew to heaven on a chariot of fire ; Elisha my man looked at such a person and said " master... I want double of what you got. " Double of Elijah's powers?! Tell me you don't think that's awesome and I will shoot you.

ISAIAH : Isaiah son of Amos deserves to be on this list because he was fearless, he commanded respect. Isaiah was more respected than the Kings he served.

Three things qualifies Isaiah for awesomeness :
* his dramatic calling where in his first vision he was taking up to heaven which he describes in detail(for those who want a picture of heaven look up Isaiah 6) in that vision an angel used a coal to touch his mouth through which he absorbed his sins (just like that no more sin, I want one) then he heard the voice of the LORD asking 'who shall I send? Who will go for us?' Isaiah replied ' hear I am, send me!'

* Isaiah also predicted very accurately I might add the birth of Jesus ( Isaiah 7 v 14, Matthew 1 v 23)

* And lastly he made the most wicked king in Israel's history king Manasseh ( a man who is known for sacrificing his own son to idols, somebody who God himself describes as a king whose sins surpasses that of both the former kings of Isreal and Judah combined together) to repent of his ways and turn to God. As a result one of the deepest prayers of forgiveness in the Bible was recorded.

.
.
JEREMIAH : If God said to me " before I formed you in the womb, I knew you, Before you were born I set you apart. I appoint you as a prophet to the nations, do not say ' I am too young' you must go to everyone I send you and say whatever I command you. Do not be afraid of them for I am with you and I will rescue you ". Then touched my mouth and said to me" I have put my words in your mouth, see today I appoint you over the nations and kingdoms to uproot and tear down, to destroy and overthrow, to build and to plant ;get yourself ready : stand up and say whatever i command you. Do not be terrified by them or I will terrify you before them. Today I have made you a fortified city, a bronze wall an iron pillar to stand against the whole land, against kings, their officials, their priest and their people They will fight against you but will not overcome you, for I am with you and will rescue you ". (Do you know what proud me I will do....?) I will call the presidents of all nations to come and bow down before me, I'll uproot those that will not, tear down anybody that challenges me, destroy any form of resistance and overthrow any government that's a threat . Then I will build a big castle for myself, plant a beautiful garden in front of it... Then I will have it written across the skies that I am the king of the world but Jeremiah is not me so instead he humbled himself before kings, their officials and the priests and their people. He offered advice to kings,prophesied to the nations, led the priests in praise and worship even when they threw him in a well, he still begged God not to destroy them and pleaded with them to change their ways. And that was awesome.

.
.
ELIJAH : "the power of the LORD came on Elijah and tucking his cloak into his belt he 'ran' ahead of Ahab all the way to Jezreel" (1 kings 18 v 46). Now the Ahab in question was 'riding' to Jezreel on his royal chariot (chariots were the fastest means of transportation in ancient times) The speed of a chariot depends on the number of horses attached to it. A normal chariot has two horses attached to it and it's speed(on a free way) is equivalent to that of a sports car doing 350 mph. Now a royal chariot consists of a minimum of six horses attached to its chariot (no need to tell you the speed at which such a chariot would be moving) yet Elijah "ran ahead of " it to its destination (super speed baby, super speed! )
Elijah had super speed and that's him on a boring Thursday.

Here's what he does on busy week days: commanding the skies to withhold the rain until he says otherwise, calling down fire on two separate captains and their fifty men, getting fed by Ravens day and night (doesn't have to cook), blessing a poor widow abundantly and while he was at it, raising the dead son of the said widow back to life. Then at weekends : he challenges 450 prophets prophets of baal to a contest, calls down fire (yeah he's got a thing for fire) from heaven to consume slaughtered Bulls that's drenched in water, hangs out occasionally with God himself on mountains. He's so Cool and awesome that he didn't die but went to heaven alive in style (on a chariot of fire).

.
DANIEL : Daniel was very smart, very wise, could see visions and interpret it, he even ate his vegetables, Daniel was so awesome that he told a king " your days are numbered; you're going to die" and he was rewarded for it by that king by making him second in command over the whole Babylonian empire. Daniel was friends with every king that came to power in his lifetime; they look at him and they get like 'man you're awesome, come work for me and am not taking no for an answer'. But what made Daniel a part of this list was his awesome unwavering faith in God he displayed when his friend king Darius forcefully (yea I know long story) made a decree that no one for the next 30 days should pray to any god but himself king Darius.

Now if I was Daniel I be like 'God please just 30 days, forgive me I promise after the 30 days I'll pray to you more than I would have done in those days; I don't want this man to kill me'. But Daniel didn't do that, he prayed seven times a day and that did not change when he heard the decree ... Even when he was thrown in with the Lions he still prayed to point where Rocky one of the Lions in the den told him "boss c' mon you know we ain't gonna eat you... You too awesome for that shii , God has shut our mouths. But don't worry come the morn' you gonna be free and the muh'fuckers who put you here will be our breakfast" . And so it was, Daniel was released and the bad guys were eaten. Mr D was one of the few people that predicted the end times. all in all Daniel was awesome

If i'm not mistaken, Jeremiah was the last prophet God had any direct verbal communications with.

Four questions actually;

1. You are my father. You created me. You know what i'm going to do even before i do it because you are all knowing. Then why create me or allow me to phuck up when you know that most likely i'll go to hell. I wouldn't do that to my kids.

2. Why plant the tree of life in the middle of the garden of Eden knowing fully well that satan was running around and had no good intentions. Was there no more space in heaven to plant the tree?

3. Why let satan exist after he betrayed you? You knew he was going to deceive Adam and Eve into eating the apple of knowledge but yet you let it happen anyway.

4. Why let me be born a Nigerian. I didn't ask for it. Seems kinda cruel.

I still hope you have not missed my point. You can say Tomata but can not write it that way.

You could do better if you didnt repeat the bolded part as i see as i have not made a point. Marines are by nature amphibious and aerial, it wont be strange to find them serving in a Naval ship or flying planes and helicopters. Would they become a subgroup of the airforce when they go aerial?

Marines are commanded by a 4 star general who is a member of Joint chiefs of staff, i wonder how they would be a sub group to the Navy, they work together very often the most other armed forces but its for training, logistics and transport. Dont forget marines use ranks of the Army not the Navy!
I don't know how else to explain this. You all see it that way but we don't.
