obasiken:
You know you are finished when your leader fails while trying to solve a Nations problems

But you are Complete finished when your leader starts to accuse the citizens of creating the problem he is suppose to solve.
What has he said that is a lie now? The first step towards rehabilitation is accepting you have a problem. This is doubly important especially when you are asking for help from someone. The person you are asking help from recognizes that at least you know you have a problem and you are trying to change. Unlike denying you have a problem and continue to let the rot fester. No one will ever help you when you yourself don't realize you need help.

Psalm18:
We must not give to despair but continue to all play our parts.
One of the major problems in Nigeria apart from leadership, is they don't know how to implement and enforce policy. For some reason, the principle escapes them. Steps to effective policy;

1. Identify the problem

2. Identify a solution.

3. Create a plan of action.

4. Inform and educate personnel and leaders responsible for enforcing the plan of action.

5. Inform and educate personnel and leaders responsible for enforcing the plan of action.(This is very important)

6. Educate and inform the citizens about the policy.

7. Educate and inform the citizens about the policy.

8. Educate and inform the citizens about the policy.(This is very important)

9. Enforce the policy.

10. Continuously audit the personnel enforcing the policy.

As simple as ABC.

Hello Nairalanders.

Something happened today on my way from the office that really got me sad with the way some of us consciously loiter our environment without thinking twice.

Everyday we see the Lagos State cleaners doing their routine cleaning but by close of business the whole place is messed up.

This goes to show that, despite government playing their part in keeping the environment clean, a lot of us don't support the government, we probably do so in our words but not in action.

On my way from the office today, I was inside Marwa wt dis lady who was eating whatever, but as soon as she's done, she threw the nylon on the road. I had to caution her, that it would have been better she threw it inside the Marwa or better still keep it, when she sees a waste been, throw it there, rather than on the road.

This behavior, I've come across so many times, and on each occasion I had to correct whoever is involved.

This is really not nice, especially considering the elderly women doing the cleaning on the road. After all the wahala with peanut salary, we still go ahead to loiter the place like babies that needs to be corrected.

Let our conscience judge us in whatever we do. Let's have it in mind that government's effort in making the state conducive and clean for us, will continue to be just an effort if we don't support them in our own little way.

Let us also ensure we correct if not embarrass whoever we see loitering the environment, especially those who throw things from the vehicle.

Government should also make it a law prohibiting such behavior.

Stay Clean!
You have a better chance of gummy bears falling from the sky than for Nigerians to be waste conscious. Nigerians are naturally dirty people and Nigeria as a county is among the dirtiest in the world.

Black people have no shame at all. Imagine a president of a country traveling to another country for check up. Imagine Obama traveling to Russia for medical check up...lol. What's stopping him from fitting a world-class, state of the art medical facility at Villa, with his doctors in London on-call to fly in when needed to attend to him. I cannot understand black people. There is something wrong with the brain of a black man.
I agree with you wholeheartedly. But put yourself in his position; would you put your life in the hands of crazy people?

government hospitals subsidizes stuff like that many NGO's also.
How many pregnant women can afford the test your wife also went for yesterday too?
Ma point is..if the mother knows and opts for abortion on medical grounds..especially this zika ish..I'll support..others maybe not..it all depends
Which is still my point. I don't really think you understand how expensive these drugs are. One HIV drug called Truvada costs 1500 dollars per month and when it's subsidized, it's 750 dollars in the U.S. Do you still say it's affordable? For down syndrome, the point is if you are able to notice it early enough. And if you do, would you still say the child should be born?
HealthRe: UN Asks Zika-Hit Nations To Allow Abortion by banmee(m): 12:18pm On Feb 06, 2016
joey150:
there is prevention of mother-child transmission na..down syndrome must have been noticed after birth! C'mon man, dont you get my drift here
Down syndrome is noticed from the womb as early as 5 months into the pregnancy. My wife just had her test done yesterday. There are preventive medicine for mothers not to transmit the virus to unborn children. But you also forget that the preventive medicines are extremely expensive. How many people can afford paying for the daily drugs?
HealthRe: UN Asks Zika-Hit Nations To Allow Abortion by banmee(m): 12:08pm On Feb 06, 2016
joey150:
for a child...aids is avoidable from pregnancy(mother-child transmission).. And even aids dosent make you look different and it surely dosent affect your brain. On the other hand, down syndrome cannot be detected from the womb most times.
But zika, you know and see the effect on the child..looking deformed and loosing half your brain..thats mental and physical deformation your whole life!!
I am talking about an unborn child with aids. Do you have any idea the cost of controlling the HIV virus? It would ruin the family financially and at the end of if all the child will still die. With down syndrome, the parents or the state will have to take care of the child for the rest of the child's life.

ohhh.. .. Definitely Not! Except its worse than this zika virus.

But i think this would be an excuse to make abortion look normal..the greater part of me says no..but for the sake of those children..for this part..yes!
What would your aim in life be without your brain!
Are you saying zika is worse than aids or the down syndrome?

this one warrants it in a way, if not there wouldn't be a need to consider it an option.
You still don't understand. "only in this instance" means that apart from the zika virus you would not allow abortion for any other disease.

joey150:
dude have you seen how deformed people with that stuff look? Down syndrome is unforseen, aids can be avoided.

This zika virus makes you look alien and different.. Abeg no come suffer people..prevention is better than cure.
A better way is for dem not to even get pregnant..but if they do,i wont oppose abortion should they opt for it.
I think you misunderstood me. The post said "only in this instance" as if zika virus is the only dangerous virus that can destroy a baby's life.
