Everything we do affects other countries. God forbid a humanitarian crisis erupts because the economy completely collapses, then you will realize that what you consider private becomes the world's problem. |

I have heard about it. I had a friend who had to train to be able to do all that You are thinking like a Nigerian. The army doesn't make up stuff. They get their policies from civilian norms. It not like the Nigerian army which does things in isolation. Before they do anything they consult civilians on how they do things. You know the p90x workout? well we inculcate that too. Are you going to say p90x was created by soldiers? Crossfit was invented by civilians and we adopted it. I am trying to expand your horizon. I understand that change and new information is difficult to accept because it is new to your experiences but just try. |

Is it the state, the taxpayer or from his personal finances. If it is from his personal funds, how can he afford it? You all don't know how to ask your leaders questions. I hail una. Dress decently, you won't. wear your school identity cards while on school premises, mbanu, who dey talk. So the authorities decided to use mild embarrassing techniques to curb your exuberances. for indecent dressing, they seize your tag or ask you to come get your shoes at the disciplinary office. saves you from being suspended each time you dress like a motor park tout or a ho on duty. I finished from there and have been 'around' the school for 7 years, still haven't seen or heard of a physical confrontation between a lecturer and a student. So behave yourself, and you won't have a reason to look over your shoulders See Nigerian mentality at it's finest. |

Part of my training that the army pays for involves classes from licenced and certified civilians teaching us all about physical fitness and how to eat. We in turn teach our soldiers. That is the someone. On the side, on weekends, I make a lot of money teaching and training civilians how to stay fit and eat healthy. |

There fat people who can run o better than I can sef, however they may not be able to other things you mentioned To determine that then it needs to be timed. If you are under 30 years old as a male, you need to be able to run two miles under 17 minutes....58 push ups under 2 minutes and 55 sit ups under 2 minutes. The Lower your age group the more stringent the time and the higher your age, the more time you have to complete it. |

I live in Scotland and I know what I see everyday. I don't think I have ever seen such throughout my formative years in Nigeria. Unfortunately, some white men love obese women and give it more years, it will become a normal thing.
However does that mean that Nigerians are healtheir even though they don't we don't have as much physical obese looking peolple as Scotland? The answer is NO.
There i a something called think fatm you can look slim but have more fat in your body than Toolz. And if you are so health conscious, take look at toolz again and concentrate more on her body fat distribution.
Like I had reiterated earlier it is their business. Tunde likes them BBW. You don't. Personally, I don't envy her You are right it is their business. I am just stating my point of view just as you are. Also, I am not talking about being slim. I am taking about being healthy. There is a difference. |

FYI, looking ‘normal' does not mean that you cannot be more prone to diabetes, HBP etc than those who you may consider fat .
Toolz shape is an indicator that she is might be healthier than your gf considering the fact that her body fat is well distributed. Who's talking about diabetes? Diseases associated with being over your body fat ratio are high blood pressure, hypertension, high colesterol, etc. The disadvantages seriously outweigh the perceived advantages. Perceived in the eyes of the average African man. Not to talk of when gravity starts to take over. My wife looks 10 years younger than her age because she is very health conscious. No junk food and alcohol. She out runs me with a two mile time run of 14:15 (i can only manage 14:50). She can knock out 80 sit ups without breaking a sweat and finish up with 40 push ups at a go. For a woman that's pretty impressive. All this after 3 kids. Africans generally are not health conscious so i understand your point of view. |

viktor01: Your statement is just so self contradictory. How can the man lead when the woman feels we are now in the 21st century? Leadership is all about confidence and influence. Marriage is no different than owning your own company. So because you have a confident wife you should have problems? If na so, you go de fire everybody you hire. You need to always self improve and grow. Both of you. Marriage is not about a slave and master relationship anymore. Change your mentality and you won't have problems. |

FoxyFlow: Just yesterday, there was an argument in the department between a bunch of us. The topic was about the laziness of Nigerians. While most of my coursemates were of the opinion that Nigerians are lazy, I was of the opposite. They stated reasons to back up their points. From the fact that they see beggars on the road to those who sleep under bridges. They even went ahead to use the school and department as examples.
I was perplexed. Nobody was helping me out. I brought arguments but they were rebuffed. How on earth will someone look at Nigeria and Nigerians as a whole and classify us as lazy. Yes, we have people in government who are giving the institution a bad name. From the inception of democracy till date. But I know that lazyness does not synomnise with Nigerians.
This could be aptly seen in the way Nigerians go about surviving everyday. Yes, we might have one or two beggars on the street but it takes perseverance to bear the cruel sun, skills to bandage your hands and talent to appeal to the emotions of other Nigerians.
Why blame the people for their laziness? A point was made about how Aliko Dangote started his company from the scratch. I countered it by naming his uncle as the sponsor. How many Nigerians have rich uncles who are willing to loan them such huge amount of money? Because the money given to our own Aliko Dangote then is ten times its value now. They mentioned bank loans, I countered with the inaccessibility of funds by an average Nigerian. They said work for someone, I asked where the job is.
When an opening was made for the driver trainee stuff in Dangote's company, we all heard it. He came out on news and pointed out that doctors and professors were vying for positions as drivers. Is that not pitiable? We churn out graduates from our higher institutions yearly yet jobs are not forthcoming yet you say Nigerians are lazy.
This is not the time to start blaming the government. This is not the time to blames the elite masses, this is not the time to blame America and other western powers. They are not our creators. This is a time to sit and reflect. Does prosperity really come with hardwork? If yes, why then do we have poor people in Nigeria especially in the rural areas?
These people work their bones to feed Nigeria and Nigerians yet after years they have nothing to show for it. The only time you see cars and trucks in their villages is when there is a need to transport farm produce. These are also bought cheaply or putting it rightly, the farmers are ripped off. Then you come here and tell me Nigerians are lazy.
Look at your dad in the eye and tell him he is lazy. You will be surprised when he would tell you his life history. All of his hardwork and where he presently is. No blame games, I am leaving the government out of this and I am also leaving the elites out of this. I am only screaming on top of my lungs that Nigerians are not lazy.
Please, when next you see a man begging on the street or sleeping in his shop, do not attribute it to laziness. Ask him his story before drawing a conclusion.
Bless your souls.
By
Joseph Success Nigerians are not lazy. The only problem is they are constantly hard at work running around in circles without achieving anything. It is akin to a man vigorously pouring water in a basket, sweating profusely in the mid day sun. You try to tell him that what he's doing it is wrong and he'll look at you like you are the crazy one. |

A screw is loose somewhere in our genetic make up. The problem is people in Nigeria just don't want to admit it. They think everything is rosy about the way they think and do business. Family › Re: Why Most Marriages Never Exceed 10years by banmee(m): 1:12pm On Jan 27, 2016 |
DrPurposeful: The very moment you say you are accepting a man's proposal for marriage, you are coming under subjection. Subjection is not torment. A man who fears the Lord doesn't take that for-granted to abuse and take due advantage of you. Subjecting to your spouse is a command from God. Because the man is the head of the home as Christ is the head of the church, that is not the time or reason to get so proud and become fool of yourself to the extent that you cannot respect your wife and listen to her many good words and advice. The reason why many marriages never last is because the woman is so highly placed and doesn't need any man to control her or be in charge of her. Because of her degree from harvard and position with Chevron, she see no reason why an ordinary bank branch manager or a medical doctor with one small health centre in port harcourt would control her or tell her what to do when she controls men in her work place and thousands of people calling her Ma/madam. Don't allow position or class of degree fool you. If you cannot stand a man(your husband) telling you what to do, better remain single and no man would ever have control over you. Most women compare their rich dad with their spouse; it shouldn't be so. Respect your husband, listen when he speaks and welcome him when he comes home. Don't always be the complaining kind of wife. When you give a man all he requires and he still treats your wrongly, then he needs God's intervention. No man is too big to assist the wife in the kitchen; after all she is you and you are one. The reason also why so many marriages break up after 10yrears is because most couple watch celebrities on television and want to do the things they do. Never live your life based on the happenings in some other persons life. Love your spouse, obey and respect them; then show me where the devil would come in... Never give the devil the chance to ruin your marriage. You will prosper! You will Succeed! Lol. . .the only reason marriages fail is because inability of the husband to LEAD. Don't shift the blame to women. Lead your household and your spouse will follow. This is not the '60s and it is no longer a man's world. People need to start waking up to this reality. |

During that period in the pix above, people buy new cars unlike tokunbo of today. During that period, nothing like China products unlike we have it allover today. I know you Indomie generation and you only read the bad part of history and never the good part because you are thought to look at the bad and ignore the good part. Lol. . .To give you a better idea. Like i said, the problem with you and a lot of Nigerians is you don't know your history and worse still is you don't learn from it. The first coup was in '66. The reason it happened according to the coup plotters was because of corruption and mismanagement. The same problems you all are facing today. So, from day one of your existence, you have had leaders who have looted you blind so how can you make progress and be great? Your definition of great confounds me. Well in a way you are right. Nigeria is great when it comes to corruption, lawlessness, graft, etc. You are using the purchase of cars as a yardstick for growth as if that is the only measure. There were a lot more people commuting with 'bolekaja' than there were people who had POV's. And for your information, a country can peg it's currency value to whatever it wants. It does not necessarily mean it has value. Let me give you another tip. Fela released his first song in the 70's and from his words you'd think he released it yesterday.
