obailala: And so because things arent so good in Nigeria, so therefore your bright solution is for me to compulsively criticise every single thing, including seeing something which is clearly white and calling it black in my bid to criticise too right?.... Is that the sort of ideology you aggressively promote as a virtue which can bring Nigeria out of its present quagmire?.. Na wa for oversabi It is not just a bright solution, it is your only solution at this point. Obviously you have zero managerial skills/experience or you would know this. When an employee is incompetent and underperforming, you either give him/her a strongly worded counseling either verbal or written and when that does not work you get rid of them. Don't just take my word for it. Great leaders know this. Ask Alex ferguson. In his book he said one of the reasons he was so successful was that he had a policy of getting rid of players who did not fit into the team mentality or were too big for him to control. In order words they were surplus to requirements or positive plans. I know this is too deep for you but take your time. It will eventually sink in. |

Saintmary: you are very good at insulting others, why dont you preside over a country and let's see how better you are. Guy, we all cannot preside over a country at the same time. What I do preside over are warriors. I groom and train leaders and I get paid very well for it. Yes. I am very good at that. And if you want to know why I insult "others" as you put it, read my signature at the bottom of my post. |

obailala: Ahhh!
Oga you are clearly the only one with the abnormal mentality here and it isnt surprising that you cant tell. A mentality which forces you to hate and criticise any and everything about a person simply because the person possesses some dishonourable characteristics, is that the sort of immature mentality you pride in as a bright solution to the myriad of social problems in Africa?
I'm sorry bro, but a mentality which compels you to be deliberately dishonest, lying to yourself and society, attacking people who state simple facts and seeing WHITE and call it BLACK, that is obviously a fvcked up way to reason and that will definitely not cleanse any society.
Meanwhile I only told you to allow me to my own devices because I am quite sure a person with your ideology cannot be tutored or convinced to see how irrational their thought process is; so I just settled for a stalemate there. You are confusing blunt criticism with hate. You deserve to face the truth since you don't like to tell yourself one. I lie about how your mentality has influenced the deplorable state of your country right? Ok. Please list five things you are proud of as a Nigerian. And I don't want hear about jollof rice and how you are the best at it . I want to hear about infrastructure, security and prospects. You just don't get it hence you predicament as a Nigerian. You wonder why you are not moving forward. What do you think happens when a people think a certain way which has completely destroyed every facet of their society? They perpetuate the rot because they don't know another way. They are too used to the status quo hence your fierce and vigorous defense of it. It's a pity. And i'll be waiting for the list. |

Which election result are we talking about? Is it the election results from the 80's, 90's or 2000's. I don't know if you know this but Nigeria was not created in 2015. I'm not a Fayose fan and I never was; but his child studying in a Nigerian uni (for whatever reason) is a good thing and I havent done anything wrong by saying that. Please allow me with my mentality, I wouldnt intrude into yours. Thanks. I should allow you your mentality. . Even though it's phucked up? Guy, this is not how normal people think na. A man may be dishonourable, but if he does something which I think is commendable, there is nothing wrong with me if I commend it, and that does not make me insane or myopic or stupid or whatever it is you've been pressing about all afternoon. Spare me your empty sermons please. This is common sense! Oga sir, I will keep repeating myself until the message gets into your head. You don't about talking positively about corrupt incompetent officials. This is the reason you all keep recycling leaders in Nigeria. Your talking point should only and always be about removing him from your lives. You mentality is holding you back as a people and you need to change it. |

Your talk about me 'changing mentality' is pointless; I am not commending a thief and will never commend a thief, I am only recognising a commendable 'act' by a person, and it's a pity if you cant tell the difference. You dont expect me to see a white cloak and call it black because it is worn by a dirty person. What nonsense are you talking about honor among thieves? Only criminally corrupt people talk like that. You do understand that that is an oxymoron right? You people just justifying rubbish. In 2080 you all will still be asking why Nigeria is not moving forward. I know why. obailala: What exactly is the point you are trying to make? Cos I see you running around in circles and I'm lost here..
My own point is that it was a good and commendable thing for the governor to have his child study in Nigeria (this isn't a common thing amongst Nigerian leaders). I also pointed out that it will do Nigeria a lot of good if we patronise more Nigerian stuff, especially with leaders setting the example.
The above is my simple point which I believe is commonsensical but you've been blasting me making me believe you totally disagree with my point. So kindly tell me now, what exactly is your own point?. Actually the point is for you to change your mentality. It is holding you back. At least learn from normal societies. When a corrupt incompetent official is in your lives you try to get him out of it. You don't go about applauding anything he does. By finding anything good In what he does only perpetuayes his being in your lives continously. This is why you guys keep recycling leaders. Even a 12 year old would understand this by now. Smh. |

obailala: Bro whether you like it or not, there is still honour amongst thieves... Today Nigeria has no functional refineries, standard hospitals etc. But are you aware there are Nigerians who own mega refineries, mega hospitals and mega estates outside our shores?... If all Nigerian leaders past and present had invested their stolen funds in Nigeria, we wouldn't be in the level of squalor we find ourselves in today. So yeah, if Mr A and Mr B are thieves, but Mr B uses his loot to develop Nigeria, I will hold him in higher esteem than Mr A and there's nothing insane about that; it's common sense. Lol. He thinks the problem is lack of money. Smh. It is not an investment problem. It is a mentality thing. Let me give you an example. If you take all the Nigerians in Nigeria and emigrate them to Germany and bring all Germans to Nigeria, in 12 months, Nigerians in Germany will be applying for visa to come back to Nigeria after destroying Germany. Guess what? You all will carry your filth, Jungle justice, bad maintenance culture, "sharp guy" mentality, etc, to Germany and destroy one of the best countries in the world. |

When you first understand your society then you can identify what is wrong and then start making corrections. Unfortunately the only thing they understand is how to eat and "belleful". In a country where it is encouraged to take and take without giving anything in return what do you expect. If I begin dey talk this country wahala, I will write 100pages and still not started What can one do but to continue to educate them. If i can change one mentality then maybe that one will try to change another. You don't know how annoyed i get when i read some of the things most of these mofos type on NL. Because, unlike what you all think, the problem in Nigeria is not the leadership. It is you the citizenry. The citizenry in Nigeria is unbelievably bad and there is no way in hell a good leader can from the pool of you. You all just go to school to mark attendance. You don't learn anything. Democracy is "government of the people, by the people, for the people". " Of" the people. Meaning your leaders come from you and when you are bad, your leaders will be bad. Improvimg the educational sector and promoting innovation as an office holder is not best achieved by segregating private universities. Climate change is real and its a devastating issue of global concern. Flooding is one of its products This is not climate change. This is as a result of the Nigerian citizenry and that of govt. Nigeria does not have a history of foresightedness. Worse is, they do not know how to maintain anything. If proper drainages were built and maintained, proper town planning was done, none of this would happen. Nigerians are always looking for ways to avoid taking responsibility for their thoughts and actions. One good thing though; at least you are not blaming god for it. |
