Can you throw more light on how you implemented this?
How did you extract the dc value from the ipower, seeing that it's load output is 'ac'?

12v 100ah battery at 50% d.o.d on 30w load cumulative = 20 hrs backup

that is theory . . not correct in practical. . even if we adjust for losses in the system multiply by .80 inverter efficiency; still theory

even if you add battery peukert effect, still theory . .

the only way to know how long it would last, do a live demonstration and use a stopwatch !

so like i said; and still stand by, get two ammeters and do the measurement . . .

I am more concerned with the current hitting the terminals !

At about N24 per kwh, na only N2,400.

I am equally interested in a cost effective solution.
I'm not so keen on a central heating solution, as i already completed plumbing works.
The thought of breaking up the walls to run new hot water lines sounds expensive.

Yes, you do. You never know when one of your neighbours will plug in a "boiling ring" since you always have "light". lol!
I use mine for auxiliary load control.

I set it to disconnect at 52v and reconnect at 57v.

Nice submission, the part quoted jumped at me.

Part of my setup is designed to disconnect/reconnect at a certain voltage level. While the remaining part is permanently off grid designed to cycle at about 65% soc.

I believe there are merits to designing one's system around LVD, especially when you want to maximise self consumption.

We are currently constructing a all-in-one inverter. That means, it will have ability to recharge itself and also supply power 24/7.

Just imagine how a generator runs if it's constantly supplied with fuel and oil just before the fuel in the tank finishes or the oil finishes... ...assuming other parts of the generator will not become inefficient over a long period of time.

We are almost at the final testing stage.

The images below are for a 3.5KVA inverter.

Are those batteries lined at the bottom or ultra capacitors?

In a place like Nigeria, The size of your battery discharge should closely align with the size of what generate from your panels.

I agree with this if you have no daytime loads.
The best design approach is going to be different for everyone.

Some people use more of their loads during the day. Some others, at night.
So the size of the "usable" battery bank and pv array cannot be directly matched.
