Solar just works! I've been bored recently, nothing to tinker with... ![]() I'm trying to compile a list of processes to automate at home. This will keep local man busy. Or i apply to be Oga NiyiOmolyunade's apprentice so that the ministry can keep growing. |
Dishtech:48v 400Ah will involve 40 units! |

Hello Guys, Anyone sell these stuffs locally? I need 4 pieces of each, thanks. 4 pole 63A changeover switch with center off https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/YFUAAOSwCWFY8heR/s-l400.jpg 2 pole 63A RCCB https://www.electrical2go.co.uk/media/catalog/product/cache/10f519365b01716ddb90abc57de5a837/r/c/rcd_1_1_1.jpg |

I do not have unfortunately. FrancisAdl: |
Hmmm, just when I decided to patronize him George. Na wa o, why are some Nigerians like this? |
I have 5.2kw array on a 100A Victron Smartsolar CC. My best harvest is 21Kwh, which translates to an efficiency of 4kwh per kw for that day. This implies I'd use 3 or 3.5 sun hours for my area in future calculations given the data above. Dam5reey: |
Can you expatiate on what you tryna do? I'm not sure you can do this, and it's not a good parameter to use for control. You can produce instantaneous power of 1.5Kw, but only 200w reach the batteries. Consider using the battery Voltage or SOC for your control system. mank1234: |
I notice you react whenever "he who must not be named" is endorsed ![]() E be like the guy do you very strong thing. DUNKA: |

Excellent!! Eagerly awaiting your review. NoMoreTrolling: |
Hehehehe... I had the Outback Flexmax 60 several moons ago. The unit worked for some months, then one day it refused to wake up. I checked, double checked, triple checked! ![]() Blazing sun, yet the unit refused to wake up. I went online, no luck. In frustration, i took a hammer to put it out of it's misery... Long story short, i bought it's Chinese clone. Fangpusun 60A. That one was reading 62A max current instead of clamping at 60A ![]() I got rid of it and purchased the Midnite Classic, now Victron SmartSolar ![]() earthrealm: |
I am going to patronize you since GeorgeD1 has confirmed you're legit. I need the 50Gb. |

I have the 1HP unit. It draws about 400w in Gen mode. Saipro: pranil: |

My sentiments exactly! NiyiOmoIyunade: |
In addition to what Niyi has said, add a Time delay switch to delay load transfer to the generator. You don't want the contactor and by extension the loads to chatter during manual Gen startup. Trippledots: |
You remind me of the contraptions i've rigged up at home. I tried to duplicate the dual Ac source and dual ac output of a typical Victron Quattro... 3k contactor? I must have been scammed. I use an 80A 2NC 2NO contactor, and it cost a bit more than 3k sha. NiyiOmoIyunade: |
Evening guys, Abeg is it really necessary to add a circuit breaker between a charge controller and the battery? Charge controllers are designed to throttle the current at it's maximum rating. What's really the function of that CB? |
290w to over 600w depending on your Tv "brightness" setting. ![]() @fogechi |
Braaad, Axpert inverters have a terrible charging algorithm with their inbuilt SCC and maybe killing your batteries. If i remember correctly, mine has an Absorb time of around 10 minutes then it switches to "Float". I had to get standalone SCCs and moved all my panels to them. Maybe a firmware update will fix it, but i no get that kind time. I suggest you look into the effectiveness of your unit's inbuilt solar charger. |
Since 2015!! Where's the OP sef? I hope say the car never kill am ![]() |
