It'll crash soon.
The red flags are everywhere.

1. Promos to drive new registrations
2. New Products with higher yields/roi
3. New Products with "longer" maturity
4. Bandwagon effect. Suddenly everyone is in on it. Lol

I predict it'll crash by last quarter of this year.

As usual, always play with money you can afford to lose.

Agc (amazon gift cards) or amazon checkout.
1. Buy agc at between 275 and 290 N/$ depending on the merchant.
2. Redeem in your amazon account.
3. Purchase away with reckless abandon... Lol

Nah brah! You can get it at even 280 wink Matt 7:7

mank1234:
Amazon rate is not obtainable here. It's misleading. The best you can get is 320. And even at that it's still cheaper.

Big decision. 4 more panels will bring your PV array to 1.95kw.
With typical system inefficiencies and looking at that duplex, are you saying you can live on barely 6kwh to 8kwh daily?

mank1234:

When 4 more panel is added, it will be taken to the roof and public electricity cut off .

Yes Dapsyra, I'm very much interested in same spec below.

Biko tell me the price expectation (landed cost to Lagos) for a 48v 500AH equivalent battery bank - I know people who would be happy to give this battery technology a try.

I can PM you directly if you prefer.

Satellite TV Technology / Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Barezzi(m): 10:29pm On Feb 28, 2018
That's the beauty of choice. With a large enough pv array, you're at liberty to do and undo.
pranil:
I beg to differ 01 should be UTI- Unless you prefer the power coming from inverter even if the grid is available.

Yup, you're correct. Mine is set to SOL (Solar charging only)
To enjoy full charging from NEPA and solar the 16 should be set at - SNU ( use grid and solar to keep batteries charged) - changing this setting to CSO will stop the inverter charging from Grid whenever there is sunlight essentially 8 am to 6 PM it can be used only when you have a large PV system and almost no consumption during the day
Satellite TV Technology / Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Barezzi(m): 8:34am On Feb 27, 2018
The wahala is that you're not even getting the 15A sef... This matter is spiritual baba!

Increase your pv array to max out the 50A solar charger. No need for a new CC at this time.
I suspect you have a 400Ah 48Vdc battery bank.

sinistrian:

Program 1 is UTI
Program 2 is 60A
Program 11 is currently set to 15A (that's the maximum value supported on the 3kva 48V)
Program 16 is CSO

I was hoping it was a settings issue and I've gone through the manual from cover to cover. Imagine having power for a whole day and the Inverter is using a tiny fraction of current to apply on batteries at 33% SOC. If not for the sun that came out the following day ...
Satellite TV Technology / Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Barezzi(m): 11:43pm On Feb 25, 2018
Confirm Setting 11: "Maximum utility charging current" is set appropriately.
Confirm Setting 16: "Charger source priority" is set to CSO or SNU.

I'm fully off-grid now, but i remember adjusting those settings whenever i wanted to charge from the grid.

Edit: i see Niyi already addressed you...In addition, don't change Setting 01 to UTI. Doing so, your panels will never charge your batteries unless the grid fails. Set it to SBU or SOL.

sinistrian:
Who is familiar with Axpert inverters here? I have an issue where the AC charger refuses to output anything more than 3.8A (no matter how low the battery is) but once the sun rises and the Panels take over I see currents of up to 23A, when the sun sets and it reverts to utility charging, its 2.6A or less.

grin grin Maybe i'm seething with jealousy and envy grin grin

DMerciful:
To make a comparative analysis you have to keep certain variables constant. I did not change my loads to get this harvest infact nobody was at home just my regular loads on inverter. Also you did not question the numbers shared for the premium panels but you want to question the conditions surrounding this one grin

Satellite TV Technology / Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Barezzi(m): 8:31am On Feb 24, 2018
This is not entirely true, as harvest is proportional to usage.
You squeeze every juice from your array cos house energy usage far outweighs production, hence your fantastic efficiency numbers.

DMerciful:
...For instance the pic attached is my harvest today from a 1.5kw sunshine panels. Meaning if I have 6kw of sunshine, I will be doing 21.2kwh...

I bought a 2kw "induction" cooker from Konga around December last year. I excitedly opened the package, got my trusted
aluminium pot, a cup of water and proceeded to test my new cooker.

To my surprise, within a few minutes the water was boiling!
Aluminium pots are not supposed to work on induction cookers.
When i lifted the pot, the cook top was red hot!!
The merchant had sold me a well packaged, 2kw hot plate!!!

I was furious, went online and gave him a very injurious review. angry
I'm still using the cooker, a 2kw resistive load on my Axpert inverters. They handle it without breaking a sweat.

i wish it could handle my resistive loads...

grin grin About 45w each if I remember correctly. When i get home next month, i'll confirm.
About 90w*13hrs=1.2kwh by daybreak. Not much, considering my pv array.

Hot water. This particular area nearly gave me high bp, until Dapsyra's tweak!
My house: Base load is fully off-grid.
Aux load is on inverter 8am to 5pm.

How's your system treating you bro?

DMerciful:
Barezzi,
Always tweaking ur system cheesy. Anyways... What's the idle consumption of this Axpert?
Satellite TV Technology / Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Barezzi(m): 1:26am On Feb 15, 2018
Yes, I have 2 Genex Axpert inverters in parallel mode.
It carries everything i throw at it, no issues so far. 5 months and counting!

Each inverter has a 2.6kw array. They've been churning out amps like a demented coyote on heat.

NiyiOmoIyunade:
I believe Oga Pranil and someone else here have had success paralleling two such inverters together - with this config they are able to use iron and microwave without issues

I shall implement this immediately.

Install timer switch on the water heaters and set them to run one after the other for 30 minutes each in the afternoon, preferably between 11am and 2pm. Once the water is boiled it is good for the next 24hours.
