BusinessRe: Nigeria's Cocoa Production Rises By 28%, Now Largest Non-oil Export Earner by BarryX(m): 9:18am On Sep 16, 2013
Certainly, not the first time we are hearing statistics such as these with no commensurate impact on the people. I'm still of the school of thought that until we feed ourselves, this over-blown export foreign exchange BS will only be a mirage that shows on Finance ministry cook-up stats.
Infact the last time I checked -- Nigeria is the largest producer of Cassava bread **coughs** sorry cassava. But still , the flakes subsidiary is on the high side
PoliticsRe: USA Minimum Wage Vs Nigeria Minimum Wage. by BarryX(m): 2:34pm On Sep 15, 2013
From all indications -- Half Bread is better than buns -- US Income after Tax is still better than Our 18,000 after tax
We're our own government here from electricity to water and other "luxuries" !
No basis for comparison
Only California GDP "UsainBolts" Nigeria GDP by earth radius!
What's the point really?

Nairaland GeneralRe: Logicboy Tells Why He Left Nairaland by BarryX(m): 7:29pm On Sep 14, 2013
Sometimes i wonder why people take NL issues so personal.
Like seriously, if our leaders can take an atom of what is displayed here and work on it in leadership, the so-called ''voicelessness'' of the citizenry would have been a thing of the past.
This is more like Baraje PDP and Tukur PDP leadership tussle- Nairaland version
Very inconsequential.

GamingRe: Gaming Habits You Should Seriously Avoid by BarryX(m): 4:06pm On Sep 12, 2013
To me sha... The food and the gaming kinda go together if i really want to avoid stomach ulcer.
Cos during my jobless season 1 - I virtually stay glued throughout the day without eating. Lesson learnt==== at least keep a prepared cold milky solution of white flakes of the Ijebu variety by the side to avoid stories that touch.
TV/MoviesRe: Nigerian TV Stations With The Most Good-looking Anchors by BarryX(m): 9:07am On Sep 09, 2013
NONE!!
By the way, I read the news myself not some sapien sitting in an air-conditioned room called studio giving me that annoying luxury with their fake accent.
The best they can offer will probably be videos but F it men -- their presentations are politically biased with poor style- You-tube does that
Infact modern broadcasting is leaving the age of "sitting anchors" as it were
Euronews readily comes to mind-- TV channel of life

Car TalkRe: Things I Consider Before Boarding A Lagos Bus! by BarryX(m): 9:12pm On Sep 05, 2013
It's been quite a while since I boarded a danfo or Molue -- worst case scenerio I go for BRT. And on BRT I prefer not to stand cos of people holding on to the rails with their sweaty armpits exhibition. I also avoid the tire parallelogram section that protrudes cos of my long legs.
Last but not the least --- I look out for a civilised interesting damsel to sit close to for a wonderful convo throughout the hold-up. Trust me you won't regret you did -- you might miss your bustop if she's a good chatterbox ---lol

PoliticsRe: Unheralded But Booming Towns In Nigeria (pics) by BarryX(m): 11:28am On Sep 05, 2013
Sometimes one sees some things and your lost patriotism suddenly resurface. And you see or read another some -- the hatred comes again .
What a country of stark contrast and opposing stories.
Like seriously-- Ikot Ikpene has an open park --
Damn-- I'm moving from this dense den of wolves and smelly gutters
Is Warri status as a city really "unheralded"??
Yenogoa ain't a bad idea either !

One of the bitter truth about Nigeria hate it or leave it, is Nigerians were not ready for independence before it came .
And for Christ sakes: we too dey born for this country -- we're damn over-populated
Jokes EtcRe: Picture: Difference Between Black Party And White Party by BarryX(m): 9:17am On Aug 30, 2013
The truth is -- most blacks don't know how to swim
There's something about blacks and water that I don't quite understand maybe it's not our race thing to swim !
Hardly you see black swimmers or surfers even in the Olympics or water sports -----
Foreign AffairsRe: Kim Jong-un Of North-korea Executes Ex-girlfriend Publicly by BarryX(m): 9:05am On Aug 30, 2013
Execution?? Now those anti-US fellas should come out and tell us that United States and the other western powers trying to deal with these tyrants lots are just plain silly and a total waste of funds. This Idi.ot should be packaged and shown that isolationism and barbarism has no place in a peoples world.
Is he a God of some sort that passes judgement or are we going back to the "games of thrones" era.

PoliticsRe: Lagos Cancels Lekki-epe Expressway Concession by BarryX(m): 7:08am On Aug 28, 2013
Nothing new really
I can sense the state government is playing jealous here -- those LCC guys are making real dough with that tolling..
More like I can't sit back and you make money under my nose.

BTW that's if they're not the real owners of LCC itself.

xynerise: I mentioned the common danger of sexting. You can add yours if you know any. No one is going to kill you.
Sorry brother, I didn't quite get the "common danger " you mentioned-- is it getting your goodies chopped off by the parents of the sextee!
RomanceRe: The Danger Of Sexting by BarryX(m): 7:14am On Aug 27, 2013
The post never did justice to the topic -- expecting to read some well researched dangers associated with 'sexting' - not some wack South Carolina story about a teenager lewd picture misdeeds.
More research on OPs part would have helped the "rampant sexting epidemic ' to a level.

Crownprince, I like your guts, I think that's a quality that mature ladies do admire, Be real and let the popular Obama slogan "Yes We can" be your motto in this fascinating gree-die love pursuit
Thinking of doing same for a fellow Green lantern right here on NL --
