Car TalkRe: Share Your Molue Experience.... by BarryX(m): 7:53pm On Aug 06, 2013
I remembered this one in the late 90's!
We boarded a Molue heading from Mile 12 to Oshodi back then, me and my friend. You know Nigerians and their over-showmanship of respect. The two of us were just gisting away when we saw two supposed' Old men probably in their late twenties entering the bus, All eyes were now on us to stand up probably because we were the youngest teens on seats.
Me and friend bone say- today nothing dey happen- if they like make them insult our parents. Omo- you need to see the ocean of insults, my friend being the hot-headed teen that he was then, attacked them word-for-word. One middle-age dude that couldn't take the insult from a small boy landed him a slap and started dragging the two of us out of the seats. Me sef no gree for the package - i still tanda gidigba- no shaking- they tire when they see unrelenting little strong-willed rascals'' standing their ground against some adult oppression.
I can say it helped shaped my perspective about life and oppression to an extent especially ''manually resetting or slapping'' an obviously weaker person because you feel you're stronger and older.

If the welfare inscription on the vehicle is adhered to, then i have no issues with the ''packing'' but if for deportation reasons then it ain't fair.
But truth be told-- some peeps need not stay in Lagos for christ sakes, Ethnic inclination apart

PoliticsRe: National Assembly Approves N4.9 Trillion In 2013 Budget Amendment by BarryX(m): 7:15pm On Jul 26, 2013
CFCfan: Actually, the Chinese loan is $3bn.
As for those saying the capital expenditure is small; I agree with u guys, but remember that we also have State govts. Surely the States have their own capital expenditures, and nothing prevents them from constructing some critical infrastructure (roads, highways etc) and investing in education.
The Truth is the bulk of the blame still lies with the FG, We're expecting an FG that shows top-down leadership. If the states are misbehaving the FG has no moral stand to challenge and caution them since they're basically rocking the same boat of high-heavens corruption. Besides the effect of the FG budget is expected to be felt across all tiers since they collect the lion share !

PoliticsRe: Ali Pate Resigns (Minister Of Health) by BarryX(m): 1:53pm On Jul 24, 2013
I was expecting "resignation" based on incompetence or something- reading it to find out it's for a higher calling calmed my nerves a little . Because for a fact the word "resignation" is not a word common with our corrupt politicians sit-tight syndrome.

Hi--- Super centurion grand kiddoes-- I know you guys have assembled the robots or probably imported the robots from china. BUT if you manufactured the robots from scratch here then -- my sperm wasn't a waste
In my time, I had an inventive bias but ironically the government of the day frustrated most of our dreams and rewarded those who perfected the newest ideas of looting nairalised booty with corrupt antics
